Goa Classic in Bristol, City of

Can’t recommend this place enough. Personally I’ve always found that takeaway curries can be a bit hit and miss, but having ordered from Goa at least 5 times now, they’ve all been outstanding. Have also tried the mixed grill which was just as good as the curries. Firmly my go-to Indian takeaway of choice now.

Delivery meal was cold and below average onion bhaji hard from constant reheating, will give one more try if not improved will not use again

The guy who greets me is always very friendly and helpful. The food is consistently lovely and is very good value for money. Try it!

Had one a week ago and the staff were very helpful and friendly this was the first time we tried this take a way and was very impressed with the quality of the food and how it was prepared we picked it up as it was are first time I am ordering one tonight and having it delivered I am very hopeful that it will be up to the same standards as the first one if so I would recommend this Indiana to my family and friends

The meal was fantastic when I placed my order not too long ago, however they neglected to bring my drink. This kind of carelessness is embarrassing, and I might understand if it were Friday or the weekend, but it's Thursday, and I doubt that anyone is busy on Thursdays. I wanted to start off by saying that you should make sure everything is in the bag when you get the meal, even if I will be returning!

The best Indian Takeaway in Bristol! Always use them and Lamb Pathia is my favourite.

I’ve been going here for years, and the curry is exceptional, the service friendly and the prices fair. They’ll adapt dishes if you need them. Delivery was fresh, scorching hot and delicious. If I wasn’t full I’d eat it again.

Food is very nice, fairly priced and always arrives earlier that predicted.

Ordered food last night, bhajis were way smaller than usual, (very greasy)… curry was half full in the tin (used to be really generous portions), rice was nice but not very hot at all neither was the rest of the food, worse thing was the naan bread was all dough and hardly any coconut… think I’ll go elsewhere in future!! It’s a shame because it used to be so nice-maybe the chef has changed

Definitely gone downhill lately. Ordered a meal for delivery and it didn't arrive.

Missed a curry dish from collected order. Was told it would 90 mins to deliver dish. Curry did not arrive. Don’t bother ordering. Bad service.

Spent a long time going from place to place until we found Goa Classic We enjoy the food so much we had our own 'Currython' and had it every night for tea for a week straight. We order a few times a week and over the last few years have NEVER had anything to complain about. Not once. We refuse to eat curry from anywhere else. Every time we order the food is consistent, it always tastes the same, same levels of spice across different dishes and it's always piping hot when it arrives. The salad is always fresh and crispy and the cheese naan breads are always soft and also piping hot. Their home made mango dip is a must try with your poppadoms ! Best curry we have ever had, and there's been a few !

What a poor experience with my local curry house. Ordered online 5.15 did not receive an email confirmation as stated. I rang them to check what has happened to my order at 6 they confirmed my order but that I had to wait 1.5 hours. Really!!! You are truly unprofessional and will never order from you again. There was no apology when I rang arrogant.

Perfect curry tonight and bread

Food was very nice and tasty. Unfortunately it was 40 mins over their stated delivery time. Order early,to make sure you get it on time during busy times.I do recommend Goa takeaway.

Ordered 2 hours ago and still had not turned up so cancelled order. Was very dissapointed as was recomended to me and really was looking forward to it. Was told it was the best indian food around but this time you let yourself down.

Goa is our favourite takeaway by far. Their tikka and korma is delicious and has huge chunks of tender chicken. The food always arrives super hot and on time. 5* from us! Thanks Goa!

I cant speak for all the dishes they do but the lamb patina, chicken tikka masala, chicken balti and onion baji and garlic nans are excellent!!!

The best Indian restaurant we have found so far in South Bristol. We've tried a lot but this one is another level in term of quality and for a reasonable price. The food is excellent and the delivery is quick.

If you enjoy a curry ,this is the place to go . just phone a order to collect or they can deliver .

This food is amazing. The onion bhajees are sublime, the lamb passanda is fabuloous. I would highly recommend this take away to anyone with even a semblance of a palate.

Ordered food online at 7.30. 2 hours later and a phone call which was apparently put for delivery 45 mins ago but still nothing. Won't be bothering again! Dominos for dinner instead after nothing came!

Love this place, eat from here often. However do not order Balti special mix. Worst "curry" ever no meat loads of tinned sweetcorn and a shed load of cabbage. So thoroughly disappointed ruined my night!

Amazing food and especially pishwari naan with any hot/spicey dish.

Sent us the wrong dish, prawn instead of chicken so my girlfriend couldn’t eat it. Then refused to do anything about it as apparently their driver would not come out again?! The one dish they did get right was terrible! Cant believe we had been recommended this place, something must have changed since then as like I said even the correct currry dish was awful, the sauce was more water than sauce.

Ordered a 'hot' Ceylon curry. It was mildly spiced, not hot at all. The meat was a bit tough. Disappointed.

Wide variety of dishes on menu and decent prices. Delivery is free on orders over £12 or can collect. Food has always been very good. Have tried most Indian takeaways in the area and this is the best.

5 star quality food but bear in mind this is NOT a restaurant! It's good Indian food cooked to order and take away. Delivery is also possible most of the time. The shop itself is large, airy and well decorated. There are newspapers to read or a small TV to watch whilst waiting for your food. Altogether a very pleasant experience. Lovely staff too. The food is excellent and the prices are competitive. I've tried a number of meals as have my friends. The consensus is that the Goa Classic is a little gem nestling among a disparate collection of shops on the hill in Brislington.

Can not fault this place! Just fantastic curries! My favourite and one I can highly recommend is the Lamb Madras...very tasty and a nice kick to it. The guys that run it are always friendly and helpful. Really good customer service. Is the best curry I can find from Bristol, so far. Good prices for quality and quantity of food that you get. Delivery time can be long on busy nights, so make sure you order an hour before you want food, but that's expected with a place as good as this and they always position the times correctly! Ordered at 6pm and still waiting for food at 19.35!!! Ridiculous time to be waiting for food to be delivered. Won't be ordering from here again, always wanted to try from here but now put off.

I've tried several currys from elsewhere, but nothing could match up to anything like this. Believe me when I say this by far the best curry you buy most likely in the entire Bristol, I personally have tried from various different locations, but nothing could be up to at standard as this. Service was top-notch, even at busy times, called on a Saturday, order was issued quickly, and delivered. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. A+++

Fast online ordering services and got 10% discount................ I ordered over online at around 5:55pm on Friday, and it was at my door by 6:35pm. Its a very convenient website and i will be coming back for more and ... That being said the service was good and the delivery driver was very nice.

1st time weve had food from Goa Classic-Had a great meal last night chkn bhuna and chkn korma along with sides, chicken was cooked to perfection succulent, tasty and melted in the mouth with nice blend of spices...thank you, thank you, thank you
