Sunday meal quality markedly worse than mid week take away. Expensive luke warm microwaved food with a centrepiece of salt and pepper chicken also microwaved resulting in chewy chicken in a soggy batter. Only Chinese I have ever thrown in the bin

We had a family get together and decided to all get a takeaway from this place. The crispy seaweed (fried cabbage) was thick chunks of cabbage, not the thin ribbons I'm used to from other places. The crispy Shredded beef was absolutely soggy, The beef in black bean sauce was just in a thin watery gravy, absolutely tasteless. In fact, considering the price of the takeaway, we were all absolutely horrified at the lack of quality in the food. Very disappointing and will not be going back

Had some food delivered and WOW what a shock! All the food was dry! Hard egg fried rice in places, crispy mushrooms (microwaved) just the worse meal I’ve ever had! Girlfriend couldn’t eat hers as it was cold in the middle! Shocking!

So disappointed. Used to be such a good restaurant that served fabulous food. Unfortunately that is not the case now. Late delivery, missing items and tasteless food. The curry tasted watered down , hardly any curry flavour in the sauce, the lamb dish with ginger likewise . Hardly any flavour , minimal ginger. The spare ribs were ok but very fatty. The only good meal was the chilli prawns Certainly won’t be in a rush to order again.

This review is for the takeaway only . We have been using this place for quite a while and the food is good but lately the delivery times that you are given is nothing like the actual time your food arrives. I appreciate that Fri and Sat is a busy time for any takeaway but giving unrealistic delivery times is extremely annoying especially as they have already taken your money if you order online . Waiting times of 40 to 50 minutes are not acceptable. Just be honest with people and let them know how long they are really going to have to wait . Regrettably I won’t be using the takeaway service again .

We are a usual customer of theirs and the food is always on point. We recently ordered one of the set menus for two people and thoroughly enjoyed each and every bite! The staff on the phone and delivery service are very kind and helpful!

Practically inedible…even the fried rice! This is the take away I am reviewing not the restaurant…they are separate businesses. This was honestly the worst takeaway I have ever had and I like a take away! The duck spring roll starter was ok but I assume that is because the takeaway chef only had to heat this up. Three portions of fried rice were hard…the rice not even cooked and the chicken was cold. The curry sauce…oh my lord…I wanted to scrape the inside of my mouth out to get rid of the taste. Anyway…just to summarise…this is somewhere I will not be visiting again. It is the third chance I have given as I want to support local businesses but this latest experience is the final straw. Finally…the restaurant Yeung Sing is very good…please do not confuse the restaurant with the take away they are completely different businesses .

Sweet and sour chicken balls without the sweet and sour sauce is really just very expensive chicken nuggets. And that's basically what I got. Received a tiny tub of sauce with it, enough for a few balls at most, but barely half of the dish. Way smaller than I'd ever received from any Chinese takeaway before. (Maybe that's why they sell extra sauce as a side for £2.20 a pop?!) Made for a very bland and over-priced meal. Wouldn't order from them again.

Takeaway ordered for 6pm on a Saturday so ordered mid afternoon as knew they might be busy. After 30 mins waiting and furious was ready to walk out but bought off by a family member with a good bottle of wine. Got home to find one dish missing , Satay chicken tough, two main courses very lacking in flavour. Not planning on returning in the short term.

Was told there would be a 20 minute wait so was supprised when it came within 5. When we got the food home my curry was tasteless and the chicken looked a little raw .My husband's chicken in black bean sauce was also very dry .Where is the sauce The rice was very sticky Not nice Won't go again.

Found this beautiful place a year ago. One of the best meals ever. The original rib is to die for. Every meal I've had has been perfect. Great flavour and huge portions. As for the owners and staff they are so warm and friendly. Even the delivery drivers have great customer service. 10 out of 10.

Lovely takeaway if someone ever takes an order3 of you. I went in for to order a takeaway but after discovering the chap before had waited 15 to place his order I thought I might be waiting some time. It's a great place 3get a takeaway if you have 4 hours to spare. And if you are lucky enough to get someone to take your order you can gaze upon the people they really want to eat which is in the restaurant

Raw food, unable to contact them and pointless response. Never again will I eat with them. Refunded 10 quid out of a 20 quid order and has the front to still charge for the delivery of raw food, 100% not accepable

We use the takeaway service and the food is always excellent, however, after being told hubby is pre_diabetic,we thought we would have to sacrifice all this tasty food. But NO! We asked if there was anything he could still eat and they were incredibly helpful,mark went through the menu and the young lady rang us with a list. We lost the list! But hurrah, Go Sing had kept it and saved the day again. This is above and beyond service and we are extremely grateful. 💯 Service.

The Go Sing takeaway part of the wonderful Yeung Sing Cantonese restaurant, has been amazing during this year of lockdown. Once again we had a delicious meal delivered to our door, hot & on time. I've had food from this takeaway many times. The food is a higher standard than usual takeaway restaurants, I wouldn't go anywhere else! ( restaurant standard) . Exceptional food and excellent service . I would highly recommend.

I seriously can not understand the negative reviews. I’ve had numerous takeaways from here over the last few years and they have all been fresh, hot and full of flavour. As an avid Chinese takeaway food fan I have no hesitation in recommending Go Sing. Of course they get busy...it’s because they are so good!

This takeaway certainly does not serve ‘the Worst Chinese food ever’. This is an unbalanced and spiteful review. Aside from the fact the owners in our community offer exceptional customer service, particularly if they have (rarely) got something wrong and will personally speak with the customer, the food is consistently of a high standard and delivered promptly and hot to your door if you opt for delivery, in one of their significant fleet of little delivery cars, impressive for most takeaway businesses offering delivery to have this many vehicles. When the time comes and their restaurant, Yeung Sing, opens its doors again, you will see this positive attitude to customers come to life. An authentic and enjoyable experience, as a takeaway or a meal in the restaurant. My family and I are are regular customers and wholeheartedly vouch for this.

My takeaway was always fresh, hot, and delicious. Never really been a fan of chinese food before but this made me a convert. Excellent service and brilliant food. Couldn't rate them highly enough.

I would avoid this place, had a delivery the curry sauce was like dirty water, the dishes we ordered were just like.microwave meals dry and tasteless. Save your money eat fresh elsewhere

Ordered take out from here as a treat and was really impressed, food turned up exactly on time and was really good quality and very generous portions. Will deffo order from here again as it's hard to find Chinese Takeaways that deliver to the Village where I live on sites like Just Eat and FoodHub but thankfully they have their own website.

Our usual Chinese takeaway was closed so we decided to try this one. My husband went to pick it up and had to wait 20 minutes despite pre ordering it. We was given drinks as an apology but this did not excuse the food. My chow mein tasted burnt and had no flavour, the prawn balls were dough like and overcooked, the rice was undercooked, the ribs were chewy and the chicken dish tasteless. I ended up eating the bag of prawn crackers for dinner as everything else was inedible, really disappointing ☹️

We've only been in Bingham for 6 weeks and we've already gotten take out here 3 times. The food is delicious, the cost is fair, and everything is hot and fresh when we get it. My favorite dishes are: duck spring rolls, egg fried rice, and chili and garlic prawns, one of their specialty dishes... but we've tried many different menu items and they're all delicious.

Waited 2 hours for a takeaway when assured it’s would be within the hour. Follow up call said it would be a few minutes more, 25 minutes later still waiting....

I know they are busy but...crispy duck was very crispy and came without pancakes, chow mein was burnt and dry. I know they can do better as we have had some nice food from them in the past. However, will not be going back for a while.

I ordered a Chinese for my husbands birthday. I ordered early for delivery in the afternoon to be delivered at 5.30. The phone operative had my details on file so I didn't clarify my address with her so I was expecting the delivery at 5.30. By 6.15 I was waiting for the take away and so we called the take away from which the operative said that they had tried to call me and they had cancelled my order and she said that we were not welcome to order at this take away again. As my phone had runout of charge I did not receive a call and I was shocked and dismayed by this treatment. Me and my husband decided to go down to the take away and find out what happened. The manager said that there had been a miscommunication as the operative did not have my address on file. The manager said that it was a misunderstanding and that she would give us a full refund and cook our meal while we waited. In her haist unfortunately we did not get our full order and the quality was poor chein mein was dry the prawns were tiny burn and Had a thick batter. We did receive a refund for the meal but it totally spoilt my husbands birthday treat. This is not a good way to treat local people. We will never go back to this take away. The quality and service has declined over the past year and businesses should not get away with treating local people like this. Avoid where possible to not be disappointed.

Tonight’s take away was disappointing I order the Hong Kong sweet and sour pork which was over cooked so the meat was very hard, my other dish was the king prawn chow main which was vermicelli noodles not the usual thicker noodles, and the only vegetable was a few slithers of onion, it was also very dry. Other than the meal, service was very quick and friendly.

Ordered and was told 30-40 mins, came quicker. Food was delicious and I highly recommend it. The delivery staff are really friendly.

Ordered a takeaway but had to collect as they didnt have any delivery slots, i didnt mind as it gave me chance to look inside and very impressed, looks beautiful. We ordered Chilli garlic prawns, crispy aromatic duck with pancakes, Prawn sesame Toast sweet and sour chicken balls and curred char sui rice, it was beautiful the prawns were outstanding. Food was nice and hot. The portions are just right the right size for 2 people not too much. Just one point why the odd number of prawn toasts, 5 to be precise so we had to cut it so we had equal amounts as its sooooooooooo nice. We are hoping to visit the cocktail bar for just a drink and also have a meal in the restaurant. Very Happy with the service and food.

Just had lovely meal , service excellent , we hadn’t booked but they fitted us in ,first class lovely old fashioned service and piano player brilliant . Lovely night be back soon .

Thought valentine's night would be busy,so pre-ordered takeway at 6pm for 8pm. Was waiting 30 minutes once i got there. Not drink offered, had to keep asking. Absolute joke!!! Never again Other people in the same position

I have been very greedy and had 2 takeaways from Go Sing the past week, both of them extremely delicious. Totally in love with their pork curry, chicken fried rice and prawn balls. Perfect. Highly recommend, been ordering from Go Sing for years, it's the best.

Really disappointed in the quality it was awful! Ordered 5 different dishes, crispy chilli beef - not good. It was extremely salty. Peking Chicken - bland chicken in what tasted like Uncle Bens sauce. Crispy seaweed - almost burnt. To top it all they all came in pre packed polystyrene containers with what looked like a machined seal! Poor quality and very disappointed. I always go to U Canteen in Nottingham which is proper Chinese food and always served fresh. I wouldn’t bother with Go Sing! Seemed to have English staff too!!

Sunday buffet in the restaurant always excellent...Was expecting the same quality on our first ( and last!) takeaway on a Saturday evening . Ribs ordered, was substituted without notification by chicken in an anonymous sauce. Several items supplied in lightweight plastic containers with thin heat sealed transparent plastic film covers looking suspiciously like those sold in high street frozen food outlets.....did no dare to put these on a heated plate warmer unlike the customary aluminium ones. In general , neither the quality and quantity expected

Food is always good which is why we use it but hebservice just gets worse. On occasions when they have delivered they have forgotten things and it’s always late. Tonight we decided to come t as did t want to wait the 2 hours for it to be delivered. They told us 1 hour when we ordered. We arrived at 7.45 to collect as instructed as it was carnage! They clearly can’t cope with the workload as we left with our takeaway at 8.30.. wish we hadn’t bothered, it was painful. My advise don’t use at peak times.. we certainly won’t make that mistake again!!

This is the best Chinese take away around. The quality is excellent and consistent. The bar is also good for waiting 😏

Went to go sing restaurant last night (saturday) and had a delicious meal. Food was great, atmosphere buzzing and service superb so friendly and attentitive. Had a lovely evening pianist was playing all adding to the great atmosphere. Very reasonably priced we will be visiting again soon

Placed quite a large order in house for a takeaway and was told it would be 25 minutes, not that long considering how busy the restaurant seemed. Returned at the specified time and our order was ready as promised. Returned home to find that unfortunately one of our dishes was incorrect. We called the restaurant and Nigel could not be more helpful, the dish was replaced at no extra cost and delivered to us within 10 minutes of making the phone call. Really went above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. It did help that everything we ordered was excellent as well! Would recommend to anyone.

We have been to this restaurant quite a few times now and have never been disappointed. The Sunday evening eat as much as you like is especially good, as are the set meals on the normal menu. The ambience is very good and the service very polite and courteous. You are never rushed to pay your bill and leave. The only criticism we have is getting our order across to one of the staff at the last visit - the Chinese waitress could not differentiate between 'Pork' and 'Prawn'. Other than that, thoroughly recommended.

Let down by the staff. Website stated open and when i arrived the place was closed. I asked if they could still do the food but due to a large booking tgey could not do it.

We didn't realise there was a takeaway part to this resterant, ordered lemon chicken, egg fried rice, crispy beef, and other dishes hubby ordered can't remember names. This was by far the best Chinese takeaway we've ever had! No grease , perfectly cooked, highly recommend , you won't be dissapointed

We had a new menu pushed through the door and decided immediately to give it a try. (Haven't been in this area for many years so was going on long past experience) The food was absolutely delicious. I think the best take-out I've ever had. Well done, Go Sing

This restaurant has been beautifully decorated, the food is delicious and lovely staff, sadly let down last night by a couple of quite basic errors. There were 3 of us at the table for some reason our meals came out at odd intervals one person had her entire meal, I had half of mine, the other half of it arrived after a wait of 2-3 minutes and the third had a considerable wait for his which had to be sent back because it was cold! My friend asked for salt, pepper and vinegar which was duly produced, to my absolute amazement the vinegar was brought to the table in a plastic 'Chip Shop' bottle!

This place is hands down the best Chinese food in Nottm. I get takeaway every few months and it is always top quality food.

Gentleman who answered the phone and took my order was very polite and efficient. Food was ready by the time my other half arrived (too lazy to head out myself...), which was nice and handy. To top it off, the food was delicious. All round a very good experience. The restaurant side of the business, Yeung Sing, is lovely too. Consider me a regular from now on!

I've eaten at Yeung Sing before in the restaurant and was pleased with both the service and quality of the food. I have also had several take aways from Go Sing, their take away arm of the business. I felt that they were a safe bet from my previous experiences as food has been of a pretty consistent standard. That was until last night. Myself and my partner ordered take away, we called up and were abruptly asked "is that Ryan?" by the man that answered the phone. No one named Ryan has ever ordered from my number before and it wasn't exactly the manner in which you expect to be greeted when you call to order your take away. Once we'd stated that we weren't in fact Ryan we were placed on hold. The ordering itself was like pulling teeth with the person taking the order not seeming to know the dishes on the menu to which we were referring. That got us on a bad footing to start. But far less forgivable than this we received our take away and the food was really poor.The salt and pepper pork ribs were seriously undercooked with the meat in places still raw. The assorted starters were greasy and overcooked. I was surprised that they didn't come with any dipping sauces either. Then on to the main event, the House Special Roast duck (the dish they didn't seem to recognize) was unpleasant. The duck was soggy, the skin had not rendered or become crisp. The pineapple on which the duck was sat was well past its best. The second I opened the dish the smell was reminiscent of rotting fruit. Then to accompany the duck a favourite of mine, Singapore vermicelli which the noodles were over boiled leading them to clump together so the spices, meat and prawns were not evenly spread so in some parts you'd have a clump of spice and the next would be plain boiled noodles which sort of just dissolved in your mouth they were so overdone. I'm hoping we just caught them on an off day but I would be seriously reluctant to give them another go after the really poor standard of food and service.

I love the food from Go sing. I've tried all kinds of dishes and can't fault the quality of the food at all. Unfortunately it's a victim of its own success, delivery wait can be VERY long at peak times

Having had several meals from the takeaway service, I can say with confidence that the food is excellent. We order a variety of meals and they are all good. The staff on the phone are very efficient and professional.

We have been going to this restaurant for years, but more recently ordering take away. I'm sorry to say that the crispy duck we had last weekend was the worst we have ever had. Actually it was so bad we left it. Having been to Manchester recently and eating the best crispy duck ever, I asked if our half duck could be served in one piece for us to chop ourselves. When I saw what we had been given I almost laughed out loud because it looked so awful. Horrible dark dry pieces stuffed into the take away tray. I haven't been able to get to the restaurant since then as I have been away, but I was very disappointed, wasted our money, and never want to repeat the experience.

The phone service was excellent (very friendly) and the delivery was very quick. The food was alright, however, aspect of the meal (crispy chilli beef and the sweet and sour chicken) were rather chewy and needed reheating which was a bit disappointing.

Tried this for the first time recently and we were not disappointed. Not the cheapest but the food was really tasty and well cooked. Delivery was prompt and courteous. It took a while to get through on the phone but once answered, everything was straightforward. We shall definitely use this take away again.

The restaurant decor is trully amazing the staff in the restaurant are attentive if you cant see what you want on the menu they will still cook it for you we had mixed orderves for 2 ,very generous portions and more than we could eat the batter was light and fluffy and the breaded prawn was also light and very crispy i cannot stress enough how good the food is here i also love their little water decanters x i can tell you i live in west sussex i have visited twice and both times i have eaten on my own and with my adult daughter ,i had orded different food both times and i cannot fault anything that they cook the service the staff the food all fantastic and to the owners i would like to say what a lovely loving couple they are ,it doesnt matter if they are busy or not they make you feel at home and for that i thank them so much xx

Ordered takeaway and phone service was really good and delivery was on time, however, was really disappointed in the food the curry was full of oil the sweet and sour had no sauce and chips were really over done. Also the containers are abit pointless as the curry sauce still pours out and dosnt keep the food very warm. To say it suppose to be restaurant standard the food is very average.

Summary - great food as always, but what is going on with the phone line?? and didn't feel listened to when complained about how frustrating this was - sorry. If you don't mind a potentially very frustrating customer experience (dependent on how busy they are) then you will have good food in the end. If you want to read the detail! - We tend to get takeaway once every 2 months or so from here. Since the 'go sing' rebranding I have tried on 3 occasions to order food over the phone. The first time I gave up after 15 mins in January and went to a local burger restaurant opposite instead. Second time - waited 20 mins on the phone - gave up but came down in person to order as was really looking forward to the food - staff were very apologetic and lovely, made me feel very good and said they were trying to fix the problem of the phones. 3rd time - tonight - started at 6.20pm - 6th in queue, at 6.36 made it to 1st in the queue and then waited 9 minutes at 1st in the queue - nothing - phoned the sit down restaurant on another phone as was getting concerned (and hungry) and they took the order over the phone - very pleasant on phone all fine - told to pop around 25 mins later. 7.05 turned up and reported the phone problems to the manager - who said they were trying to put two lines in place and that they were busy but I didn't feel like I was being listened to - sorry that is the impression I got. He went to check on the order - 12 mins maximum we were told. Still waiting at 7.30 (25 mins later - we got the food). Which incidentally was lovely as always. Some of the best food but tonight was a shambles customer service wise and the phone line problems have not gone away. Please sort ASAP. If this was sorted I would love to give it another go. I was embarrassed tonight as we had guests who had travelled to enjoy a nice meal with us.

We called up to place an order after hearing that the Go Sing was back to its previous best before it closed down last time. When the phone line said we were 9th in the queue i decided to hold thinking that it must be good. After waiting 10 minutes and still being number 9 in the queue i should have just hung up. With there being 6 of us wanting Chinese and wanting to support local businesses i continued to hold. After 35 minutes i was finally first in the queue, only to then be told "Sorry we can't take your call at the moment, please leave a message" I was honestly gobsmacked, who is going to leave a message after 35 minutes to wait for a call back after that waiting time already? I hung up and went down to the restaurant and the manager was on the front desk (an English man). I told him about what had happened and he assured me that everything was ok and that they we're too busy at the moment. (the phones were off the hook behind the desk at this point) Well why don't they let people leave a message immediately rather than wait half an hour for nothing.He was not apologetic in the slightest and no apology either. Eventually after getting no where after 5 minutes of conversation he just asked if i wanted to order. I decided that i would rather support a different local takeaway than this ungrateful disgrace of a manager and left. We went to India in the precinct and had a great meal with amazing customer service which it always is. In a time when independent local businesses want us to support them i can honestly say i have never been treated like this before. And all they needed to do was have an answerphone stating they were busy and to leave a message. If you plan on ordering and put on hold, do yourselves a favor and hang up and take your business to one of the many independent takeaways in Bingham and give them your money. They will even be pleased to see you and thank you for your custom.Never again!

I can honestly say it's has been my once a month, my special occasion and 'i'm taking you to 'Go Sing' because i'm sorry and i know you love it' restaurant for 20 years. 95% of the meals have been fantastic. Massive paper-wrapped prawns compared to most restaurants and never had a bad crispy aromatic duck. It's now my daughters favourite birthday meal restaurant and can't wait to go back. Authentic atmosphere and furniture.

A cracking takeaway service! Food is first class as I'd expect from being a customer previously. Prices aren't cheap but you get what you pay for, good quality food.

We have waited 10 years (since moving here) for a decent chinese takeaway and FINALLY it has arrived.This takeaway is connected to the Yeung Sing restaurant so no surprise that the food is top quality.The service is also great - it was a busy Saturday and I even received a courtesy call to let me know the delivery would be a little late.Everything we ordered arrived, it was hot well presented and incredibly tasty.
