A lovely garden centre. Not a massive selection but have really good quality and gave my husband and I some great ideas. Will be going back with at least a trailer next visit. The plants and pots are really reasonably priced. The coffee shop is quaint and lovely selection of cakes yum yum. Along with a lovely hot coffee. Just hit the spot. Will definately be going again and recommend anyone to visit.

This small nursery on the A5104 Chester road near Corwen , offers an enchanting display of plants . Set out just how the amateur or professional would love to see them. The cafe itself has a wonderful appetising selection of home cooked meals . The cakes are amazing. Excellent table service

We have visited the cafe on a number of occasions when travelling in this part of Wales and it has always been a favourite of ours. We called in yesterday for lunch after booking the day before. I would think it is advisable to book at the moment as the covid19 regulations are making life more difficult for owners of all cafe's, restaurants etc. The food choice was excellent and everything we had was lovely and all served with a smile. Apart from the food the other thing that stood out was the attention being paid to keeping everyone safe in the light of the pandemic. There is hand sanitiser available at the entrance to the garden centre and several other places around the cafe. Between guests the tables and chairs were cleaned to what must be operating theatre standards! We are looking forward to our next trip out this way and will definitely be calling in again. A big thank you to all the staff.

We call in here every time when on a long day out in North Wales on the bikes. A friendly welcome is assured plus great coffee and piping hot food to refuel before the next leg. Also a firm impression that things are superbly managed at this time in terms of social distancing etc. See you next time!

I was working in the area for the day and needed something quick but local, as didn't have much time for lunch. A colleague told me about this cafe, so I popped in and enjoyed a warming pot of tea (with extra pot of water) and a piri piri chicken wrap & salad. Service was quick & friendly. Toilets were easily accessed inside the cafe and were nice and clean. Cafe was nice and warm as it was a cold day. I will certainly be returning when in the area, to include a visit to the garden centre.

As this cafe/ restaurant is in Wales, it is wonderful to hear the Welsh language being spoken by the staff, and I would expect the staff to use Welsh as the first option, obviously. The food is always “ best Quality”, its just sometimes even better! I look forward to my next visit to this gem!

A toasted teacake and scone plus two.pots of tea is mot really enough, in fairness to judge a cafe by but what we had was honesty just average. The garden centre is absolutely amazing, colour co-ordinated and all well maintained and not overly expensive. In view of all the other reviews we'll try the cafe again and for something more substantial.

Visited Planhigion Glyndwr for the first time today with my daughter and grandchildren. We all enjoyed delicious lunches in the busy cafe. The menu is extensive, the food nicely presented and tasty, and the service really good. The wet weather meant we could only take a brief look at the many wonderful plants on sale. A return visit is on the cards!

I am staying with a Welsh friend in the area who took me to the Garden Centre Cafe for breakfast in the morning. The food was well presented and well cooked, lovely freshly cooked bacon. We decided to call in again for late lunch yesterday and because we had liked the bacon we ordered bacon & egg with toast. This arrived with the bacon looking rather blackened and greasy. We decided to eat it as my friend being local did not want to complain. At the end of the meal and as I had left some of my bacon, I went inside just to point out that we were disappointed that it wasnt as good as on our previous visit. What a mistake! I went back to sit outside and was approached by one of the cooks who addressed me in Welsh until my friend pointed out that I am English. A while later when I was sitting on my own another cook came out and stated that because the griddle had been used all day, this was the way the bacon looked by then and that I had been the only one to complain! I felt totally humiliated and will not be visiting the cafe again during my stay. The Garden Centre itself has some lovely plants run by the very helpful proprietor.

Lovely breakfast here, served until 11.15, very reasonable price. The tea is very good and the whole place is spotlessly clean. All the people who work here are lovely, on the plant side and the cafe side. There were some gorgeous-looking cakes and the lunch offerings looked very appetising. The plants are very healthy, really good quality and something there for every budget and gardening skill level. Some particularly lovely trees on offer, apple, pear, quince, etc. The plant shop staff are very knowledgeable and kind about giving advice. Will be visiting regularly, it's a great experience coming here.

I drove to Llangollen Railway recently unfortunately all the car parks were full so I drove up The Horse Shoe Pass past the Ponderosa and turned left for Corwen, as I drove along other drivers were flashing their headlights I thought I don't know anybody in Wales whats going on. I found a nice straight piece of road and then my practiced eye saw a white van parked on the verge about half a mile in front of me. At least it was parked openly and not in a Horse Box.

A great place to stop and linger for a while. Our coffees and cake were delicious and homemade. The staff made us welcome and the cafe is surprisingly spacious. The lunch menu sounded good too. The outside sitting area is surrounded by plants so you can eat and choose your plants at the same time. The loos were also very clean - always a bonus in my book.My only criticism is that it is not well sign posted coming from the Chester direction. We overshot it. It's known as the Glyndwr but the Planhigion bit before it is a trifle confusing - especially at speed! We'll know better next time.

This is my first review so I hope I get the format right. My wife and I booked up the christmas dinner after speaking to a local about Glyndwr Plants coffee shop. They said that although it is listed as a coffee shop, the cooking is actually done by someone who demonstrates in the Royal Welsh show.I thought it must be worth trying out.The restaurant is situated at the far end of a garden centre. We browsed in the garden area and actually bought some lovely pansies which were very reasonable. The actual eating area was beautifully decorated and so welcoming. I can confirm the the chef/cook is to be congratulated the food was sublime. The roasted potatoes were really crunchy with a soft inside. The turkey was moist and full of flavour. The veg were just right. As you can tell we had no complaints, this was a memorable dining experience- great value too!!

Stopped at Glyndwr Plants Coffee Shop as it was recommended by friends. It is part of the Glyndwr Plants Nursery, a new building, large, airy and bright. Although we only had toasted sandwiches, they were freshly made and delicious, served with a small side salad. The cakes looked tempting, but we resisted. They also had Cawl (Welsh soup/stew) on offer but it was too warm a day for that. The staff were friendly and professional. This will now become a regular stop on our trips to and from Aber.
