Glentworth Fish Bar in Coventry

Very disappointing since new management took over.

Never received order ,dont pick up phone ,just eat useless.ripped off £17

The courier kept me at the door for 5-10 minutes insisting that i give him a four digit code that was not on my just eat email. i gave him the last four digits of my telephone no. but he continued to wane to see my iphone and ipad entry. Cold food

food was delicious, hot at the time of delivery 5*

The time started off between 17:45-18:05 it kept getting pushed back and arrived 18:35

chicken kebab was so tasty would definitely reorder and perfect chips good portions for the price

Always been pleased with the meals from here but I ordered a beef & onion pie, got pastie & normally a regular chips served 4 people generously but we barely got four serving a bit disappointed but either way the food was excellent as usual thank you

as long as it was nice hot and nice to eat.

How can glenworth charge a service fee for poor service the order was small

First time visit. £7.20 for large mixed meat and chips in a tray. A mountain of food was served up and inhaled quickly after returning home. Delicious in every bite: quality chips, well seasoned meat and fresh salad. Staff were efficient and very friendly. Very impressed. 10/10 will return regularly.

This place is fast becoming one of our families favourite go to places for take away. Affordable and good quality. Staff and management are always polite and happy to chat too. Keep up the great work guys :)

Food was piping hot and delicious

unfortunately the chips were very bity and hard, I have always used the Glentworth, but the last few times the chips let the meal down, very thin and bity needs some improvement, sorry.

always inconsistent. the chips are weird like they undercooked. kind of soft on outside hard on the inside. fish batter was slightly overdone and bland. so frustrating because the first time I ever ordered here it was one of the best I ever had. in nearly 2 years it's been horrible almost every time. they need to sort themselves out.

GREASY FISH, SOGGY BATTER, BATTERED SAUSAGE HAD SOGGY BATTER TOO, CHIPS OK, CURRY SAUCE NICE, CHICKEN NUGGETS POOR QUALITY

Delivery terrible. Driver carried food sideways in warming bag causing grease and food to spill out of container.

Not good chips were horrible and the batter on the fish was stodgy couldn’t eat it,only ate a few chips and hardly any of the fish,won’t be ordering again

Called them up because my large mixed kebab was a couple of slices of kebab in a pitta , also forgot my curry sauce , man I spoke to on the phone who I believe to be the owner was rude on the phone , food was okay , owners attitude stinks

Chips were overcooked & hard and crispy most of them thrown in the bin. Mushy Peas had a funny taste - (Tobacco) - again in the bin.

Chips not good. Mainly battered bits

Not much to say except the chips were a mix of rock hard and rubbery, resulting in one person chipping a tooth and another with a cut gum, probably reheated from the lunch time or previous day, pretty poor considering it's a chip shop.

So, being my local chippy, I had to bustle my way in amidst the 2-3 just Uber eat delivery guys - no offence, but surely a real life customer should take presidency? After waiting 3-5 mins to even being acknowledged, doesn’t seem long but when your own in a chippy, that’s long! And then to be told off! Yes for asking why are they being served before me? Was told to LEAVE by the aging manager! The somewhat short of customer experience assistant stated you’ve only waited a few mins, what’s your problem?!! My problem is that you are rude, ignorant, and devoid of any customer etiquette, and I’ll not be returning, and will encourage all my neighbours to do so too. To survive I get local business go online to support growth, but with your attitude towards real life people in shop??? face fronting customers, and with stink attitude? let’s see how much longer you wrap chips! A very annoyed local resident !

food was disgusting phoned the place and they have spoken to the supplier. food was cold and the chips looked old and dry. nervet order from there again

I thought that I didn't receive my curry sauce but as I was on the phone to a lovely person called Nikki I turned my food over and it, it was there Nikki has great phone manners and a credit to Glentworth.

Very nice food recently moved to the area so took a risk off the reviews and only went for them cos the replies to the bad ones sure did make me giggle haha. Will be our go to chippy now. Thank you x

9/10 - almost everything was perfect, but I think the salad on the burger was a bit old and on the verge of going a bit rancid, so had to scrape it off. Overall very good.

Wrong order delivered, rang chip shop, they got onto driver, he came back with correct order after a while. Food only warm, had to heat it

The delivery driver was incredibly polite and insisted that my grandmother use both hands to lift our order from the bag, because of it's weight. A real gentleman.

Great food in there most Fridays good food and service

Food was late from 1st estimated time but kept informed throughout. But it was well worth the wait best fish and chips I have had in a very long time and the curry sauce was delicious. Definitely worth a visit highly recommend their food and planning my next meal from here already.

The scallop was so thin the battery fell off the potato was wafer thin and cold and the Baggott and pea batch was cold I wasn't able to eat anything I have had to bin it

Took 2 hour to deliver. Food was stone cold. Chips were not cooked long enough, was still hard. Didn't put enough meat on either. Would not recommend or use again.

driver could not find me had to go out stand on corner and wave to him never mind got my fish and chips they were still hot enjoyed them

unfortunately the courier didn't have a sealed cooler bag so not as hot as normal pity

I have been going to this chippy for a while now, I normally drive and pick it up as just eat are unreliable and let this shop and food down, the food the prices and the people in the shop are just all amazing

Food was cold .No salad on the kebabs only cabbage .way too much salt . Donner meat was not awful.Fish wasn't of good quality .

Just Terrible! I don't know whats changed buy they've gone from my favourite chippy to the worst over night. my daughters chicken nuggets were like pencil erasers. my kebab meat was dry and cold was like eating something that had been swept off the floor and my partners burger was cold and overcooked we didnt eat anything it all went in the bin... 0 Stars! I don't know what's changed but I'll be going elsewhere from now on.

The chicken was burnt it was black couldn’t eat it disgusting the other meat was fine it put me off it wasn’t worth the money won’t be having that any time soon

Excellent service & the food is just amazing. Always cooked beautifully & hot when it arrives. Nikki is just fab & always makes sure our order is spot on like she does with every customer. Best chip shop around by miles!

Food, as with the majority of time, a very high quality. Fresh, hot and tasty. Only problem is the delivery service but tonight everything went well.

Nikki done a wonderful chippy for us. Food was spot on & reminds me of the beach every time we have one. My eldest is disabled & very very difficult but when it comes to Glentworth, they get your order spot on. We’ve had various different deferent items from the menu & we’ve not experienced any problems. Staff are amazing, food is just Wonderful & it’s the best chippy around.

Nikki & Sam are amazing at Glentworth Chippy. The food is always spot on and so tasty. Can’t fault that place at all. It’s our favourite place to go after trying so many others. This is definitely the best chip shop around

NO FAULT TO THIS RESTAURANT!!. Feel bad for restaurant and staff for this. This is 3 hours after order was placed. Driver never showed up to restaurant. Had a message from restaurant to say to cancel order but can’t do that without losing my money. No food delivered and still out money. Bad move from just eat. A refund would be the least you can do but the betting is, probably won’t get that. Bang goes £25 while the driver still gets paid. Extremely bad service from Just Eat!!

We had to drive and get our food ourself as it was 45 minutes late , called the restaurant they said system was down amd couldn't deliver, so we had to go and collect, food was cold and we had to reheat which made the taste not as fresh as we expected, this is second time this has happened with just eat order, its disappointing , would rethink to order from a different food delivery company

First time order from Glentworth Fish Bar, will certainly order again. The Fish and Chips are lovely, very big portions and the curry sauce was great.

Never usually comment but ordered faggots and chips which cahoots were that hard couldn’t cut them and chips were slightly under cooked and ware hard

Food good but took a long time to come, delivery time postponed several times.

The haddock was superb. A huge piece of quality fish. The chips were surprisingly disappointing both in terms of quantity and tepidity. They simply didn't retain their heat on the eight minutes journey. A friendly and constructive suggestion: wrap your offerings in tin foil!

The food was 10 out of 10..couldnt fault anything..

Excellent food. The Mediterranean chicken kebabs are beautiful. Loaded with meat and so tasty. Definitely be ordering again .
