We were due to visit the restaurant on Saturday night but unfortunately had to cancel due to Coronavirus. However, arranged to have a takeaway from the restaurant at home. The food arrived at home piping hot an tasted delicious. We should all try to support our local businesses when we can. A big thank you to all the staff at Giuseppe’s and we wish you well during this difficult time.

A lovely, modern restaurant inside Best Italian food we’ve eaten in a long time! Fresh, hot dishes. Good friendly, timely service we’ll be revisiting soon.

We dined here twice within two weeks and on both occasions everything was very good. The first time was as part of a largwparty (23) for a Birthday celebration and despite a couple of minor hitches we enjoyed very good fod and service. We returned just over a week later for dinner for two. Again the food and service was very good.

I'd booked a few weeks in advance which was lucky as the restaurant was very busy. The new menu is great and the staff were very helpful in explaining the different choices on the menu. Food was fantastic, ambience fantastic and staff as always brilliant

Modernised Italian restaurant, decent food and comfortable surroundings. We are there recently and the food and drinks great. Each dish exactly as you’d expect it to be, well presented and tasty. Busy place too, however does go quiet quickly after about 9.30, so better to go a little early.

Met friends for a belated Christmas get together. Good service from friendly staff. The set menu is fantastic value. I found my pasta somewhat short of salt which added on the plate isn’t quite the same but in these days of cutting down on salt, fat etc I guess it’s the trend. The lamb chops were enjoyed with a good selection of veg.

Found this little gem a few months ago and have been several times since the best Italian in Bolton and for a matter of fact Bury as well . Superb creative menu which is always being updated and the staff can't do enough for you, Magnifico

We visited Giuseppe's on Xmas Eve - I had chicken and mushroom risotto, my husband and son had steak and my other son had meatballs - along with garlic breads. The food was delicious and the service welcoming and attentive - a lovely evening out with a great ambience.

Went here as a group of six for an early dinner, before going to the Barlow. We ordered fairly quickly and were shown to our table. Garlic bread starters were excellent and the calamari was OK, but not to everyone’s liking. Main course were a mixture of pastas and fish. All were large portions and very tasty. The lasagne was a bit too dry. But otherwise excellent. A red Italian wine was very good accompaniment. A pleasurable meal. In nice surroundings.

We have visited Giuseppe's on several occasions. Giuseppe is alway very friendly and welcoming. We usually order a cheeky Focaccia with rosemary and sea salt whilst deciding what to choose this time. We've never been disappointed yet.

We were staying at a nearby popular hotel but decided to dine here. Good idea. Service prompt after warm welcome and order taken about 5 minutes later. Fantastic ribs and meatballs and both our risotto dishes were excellent. Piece de resistance was the fabulous sticky toffee pudding. Very reasonable price and thoroughly enjoyable. Definitely on my revisit list.

We are considering moving into the area and I had heard lots about this restaurant so we thought we would give it a try.

Very clean, very good drinks, lovely service, food was extremely good, starters were excellent, desserts excellent main meal one very small criticism veg was over cooked. Would I reccomend a very big yes Will we go back, also very big yes

We went for a 50th Wedding Anniversary meal and it was amazing, the staff were very friendly and attentive we weren't kept waiting too long between courses and nothing was to much trouble,the food was excellent everyone enjoyed all the food and we had 3 courses we ordered quite a variety from seafood, to pasta to lamb will definitely be going back highly recommend Xx

Dined in this friendly restaurant on Saturday July 19 ,dining with children aged 2 and 3 can make us feel uncomfortable but all the staff here are fabulous nothing is too much trouble. The food is delicious and the owners and staff make you feel at ease. What more could we ask for.

We went in a group of 13 people I must say this experience at this restaurant was nothing short of amazing we will definitely be going again 🙂

Good food and service, interesting wines. Husband enjoyed the fillet. Just need to work on the salads. OK not a great issue for most but some just like something light and ...presented with care.

Came in as a family with two small children, one of which has a milk allergy and this was happily catered for.

I visited the restaurant with my daughter on a Saturday evening. On entering the premises we were greated with a pleasant welcome and a great atmosphere. The owners made a point of welcoming us personally which made us feel appreciated. The menu had all the favourites and the specials sounded lovely. I chose a fillet steak. It was cooked to perfection. The waiting staff were very efficient and attentive during service. My daughter enjoyed her meal too which is sometimes difficult with her limited tastes! Drinks in the bar area later were very relaxing and a great choice of gin. Prices were as expected but I would have paid more for the quality of our experience that evening.

We went to Giuseppe's as a large party yesterday for mothers day. The restaurant was full but the service was faultless and the food was great. There was a really good atmosphere and all the mums were getting spoilt rotten! Nothing was too much trouble and the team were bending over backwards to ensure everyone was having a good time. I'm a bit fussy how I like my steak cooked and it was cooked exactly how I had asked. The trio of ravioli looked great too. I will definitely be booking for next year.

We didn’t book but were found a table by the manager who was very pleasant. Unfortunately that was the best part of our visit. The food was very poor quality & not worth the money, I doubt if the chef (loose term in this case) has been cooking for any length of time, if I’m wrong then he needs to retrain. Obviously I won’t be visiting again, entirely due the the chefs lack of ability to cook what is a very simple menu.

Nice clean restaurant, friendly atmosphere and friendly owners and staff. Meal excellent and portions large, had to request a doggy bag.They have a gin menu to boot.

Not been on a Saturday before and it was heaving and really loud especially as we were sat in the bar and in the restaurant next to a lady that laughed like Basil Brush all night !!!

Lovely welcome. Calm environment. Friendly staff,attentive but not intrusive. Wonderful menu. I had the vegetarian ravioli, which was delicious, with lovely fluffy parcels filled with olive, asparagus and I think, aubergine. My daughter had pizza that has a lovely, fresh, light base. My starter was grilled aubergine, gloriously presented and delicious.

Mother's Day meal, amazing food, excellent service nothing too much trouble despite it being packed, great atmosphere and fantastic hosts. Everyone had a great time, especially the mums.

Sometimes you have to visit a restaurant more than once to see whether the good service that you had last time was a fluke. Not so in this case. Everything was fantastic once again. We booked Saturday night at 7pm for four people. The place was very busy when we arrived, however this did not detract from the service that we received. All the staff were very friendly and they couldn't have been nicer to us. After 20 mins in the bar all four of us ordered something different from the menu and all four of us were very happy with the food quality and taste of the dishes. I had a PIZZA MISTO CARNE with a Tomato sauce base, mozzarella, meatballs, chorizo, salami, beef and chilli. It was wonderful! Such a change from the normal pizza toppings that you get. To give you an idea of price, the four of us had a shared starter (two tomato garlic breads) a main course each, two rounds of wine and beers and two vanilla ice creams all for £96.40. That's very good value. Food was hot and tasty and service was impeccable. Keep up the good work Giuseppe!

Have lived in the area for 8 years and only decided to call in to Giuseppe's this week. We arrived without a booking on a busy Friday night, but the staff fitted us in none the less. Food selection was good and the quality was high with generous portions. Every member of the staff, from Giuseppe himself, to the waitress and the barman, had a beaming smile on their face. You don't see that very often and don't forget we were complete strangers to them. We had a lovely time at Giuseppe's and we will definitely go back. It's not 'Gordon Ramsey' but it is good value for money. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

1st time here, Christmas Day meal for 2 and wow what a meal, if I could give 10 stars I would,I like my food and was not carried away by it being Xmas day. The chef or chefs on the day need praising, the service was excellent and wine was also very good, the overall experience was wonderful, will I go back a massive yes. Cleanliness was also excellent of the establishment, thank you Giuseppe for an excellent meal

Started with bread and olive oil and balsamic vinegar and olives, then a delicious chicken dish, then crepes with chocolate very moorish. Staff were pleasant and owner was in attendance. Everyone who was with us enjoyed their food.

Cant recommend Giuseppe's highly enough, had a family meal (10 of us) there. Fabulous choice of gins and cocktails and the food was absolutely gorgeous, nothing was too much trouble, we were made to feel very welcome, this restaurant is our top choice for Italian food.

Unfortunately I can’t have dairy. But the staff and chefs were more than happy to change a few things of the menu for me. This is very difficult normally at Italian restaurants. So I normal avoid them But in this case they couldn’t of done more for me.

We had a lovely meal here on a chilly Thursday night. We started the night in the bar with a gorgeous cocktail in front of the warm and cozy fireplace. I highly recommend the pink gin cosmopolitan! We were taken through to the main restaurant area where we enjoyed a gorgeous meal. The atmosphere in the restaurant is friendly and inviting only enhanced by the charm of Giuseppe and his excellent team. We look forward to returning soon!

Cold December evening drinks in the cold bar area before our meal in the restaurant. The starter was terrible, the staff took it back. The main meal was bland. Didnt eat that. Safe to say won't be returning

Food was excellent as usuall, excellent service as well although a little bit rushed, me and my wife had pan fried cod wrapped in bacon which was spot on.

Lovely atmosphere. Food was fantastic. Been back since and had equally as good a meal. Would be happy to recommend to anyone. Steaks cooked to perfection. Pizza fantastic as was the risotto.

What a great evening at Giuseppe's. Very, very busy when we arrived on a Saturday evening for an 8 pm reservation with friends. We got seats in the bar and the staff were great, the bar area quickly cleared as people were seated in the dining rooms.

Visited Giuseppe's restaurant for the first time last night celebrating our daughters birthday. It was great to find Giuseppe once again.!! The food was lovely fresh and very hot. The restaurant is beautiful with a lovely warm atmosphere and a great bar area. We will look forward to returning again.

Really impressed with Giuseppe's- visited with friends and family…lots of kids and mixed ages/varied dietary requirements in our group. The staff were very welcoming and looked after us from start to finish- the restaurant is lovely inside and very inviting. Food was excellent- meat and seafood dishes were very impressive and there were a couple of veggies in our party who were equally well catered for. Will be returning over Christmas- it's the perfect setting for a festive get together.

Tried this place for the first time tonight. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. What a gem of a place. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. Would highly recommend this restaurant and will defiant return

We went here with 2 friends last night and had a very enjoyable meal and the four of us ( 3 of which work in the catering industry) commented on the quality of the food which was very good and the choices on offer was quite extensive and reasonably priced and the waiting staff were very attentive. The thing that did detract from the evening was the rather large party seated next to us who were VERY VERY VERY loud and at various parts of the evening it made it very difficult to talk over the table. I understand that people want to enjoy themselves when they go out but they should also be mindful of other people as well. This party wasn’t the fault of the establishment and as we were leaving we were informed that the party of people had been asked a couple of times to quieten down but obviously they didn’t do as asked so it was very nice to leave within minutes of finishing our food and had this party not been as loud,then perhaps we may have stayed longer and had a couple of more drinks but sadly this wasn’t the case and the restaurant cannot be responsible for other selfish people.On the whole we had a good evening and we will return one day to try it again and hopefully the ignorant,loud people will not be there.

We visited Giuseppe's last night and have to say it is above and beyond exceptional, the food & service here is as good as it gets!

Wow, what can I say, we had a fabulous time at Giuseppes. We booked fairly last minute with a party of 11 and nothing was too much trouble. It was our daughters Birthday and the management and staff really made her day. She has a gluten intolerance but there was plenty of gluten free meals to choose from which you don’t always get at every restaurant. All our party enjoyed their freshly cooked meals which were piping hot, staff were lovely and polite and couldn’t do enough for us. Well done Giuseppes, you are now our favourite Italian restaurant and we will be back very soon

Perhaps a little better than the average Italian - the garlic bread was fine, the minestrone was fine the spaghetti bolognese was a bit heavy, the tiramisu wasn't very nice. The staff were polite young and unsure, the boss was stationed behind the cash register all night - perhaps needs to be more visible on the floor cosseting his guests?

We enjoyed Giuseppe’s today the atmosphere was welcoming , all the staff were attentive & the service was very efficient .Food was served hot & good quality .

My partner and I have just returned after experiencing a wonderful meal at Guiseppes restaurant. Guiseppe and his lovely staff were very hospitable and couldn't do enough to ensure our comfort and enjoyment throughout our visit. My partner and I shared the baby squid and snd king prawns with chilli and garlic starters, which were both delicious. Our nain couse of sword fish was as equally tasteful and the portions were very generous. We shared a bottle of ribero duero spanish red, which was amazinging rich and well worth spending a little more than the average bottle of wine. After our main course, we were both satisfied and too full to order any of the scrumptious deserts. Well done to Guiseppe and his crew for delivering on both food quality and top notch service. We came here with friends. Large selection of find but was quite expensive. The bar area is quiet dark which made looking at the menu quite hard to read. If you have mobility problems make sure you ask for table downstairs. We had garlic bread with tomatoes which was the best I have ever tasted but the plain garlic bread was a little dry. We had a minestrone soup and a mushroom halloumi dish which was lovely. But a little to much rosemary for my taste but a generous portion. I had lasagne which sadly was very dry and overcooked to my taste not a lot of sauce and the top very crispy and chewy. We also has chorizo chicken. It was nice but a little to much chorizo for my partner. But he did enjoy it. Would def come.here again. The staff were attentive but one girl didn't have much product knowledge when we asked a question. Was a pleasant evening with home cooked food and would go back again

Visited Giuseppe’s restaurant with my family. Great atmosphere and lovely staff. The menu offered a wide variety and excellent kids menu, but we opted for the Special’s Menu and it didn’t disappoint.... The lobster marinara was amazing. The plate was loaded with a huge lobster tail and plenty of prawns and mussels. Great food, will definitely be returning soon!

Visited this restaurant for the first time Sunday evening - the first thing I noticed was the stunning setting with fantastic views. Not to be disappointed upon entering the restaurant which was very cleverly set out. Great first impression which just kept exceeding our expectations

My friend suggested we eat here when I visited her yesterday. We walked in and I took an instant liking to my surroundings. I took a while to choose, as I thoroughly enjoyed reading the menu, which included a list of ingredients. The staff were friendly and patient. We both opted for the tuna steak. A delicious meal, lovely presentation with tasty ingredients. Next time I will not be driving so I can try out the various gins. An absolute pleasure.

we visited giusepees restaurant tonight and The inside of the building was just as stunning as the outside. As soon as we arrived we was welcomed by the bar tender who had no trouble recommending what flavoured gin would get the night going . After taking our order we enjoyed our drinks and I had chicken with peppercorn for my main which was delicious and then for dessert. ferror Roche and banana and butterscotch ice cream.. Overall not only was the food exceptional but so was the staff - we even had seats facing the open kitchen ..Attention to detail was their as staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel welcome as soon s we walked in. We will definitely be back and will recommend to all our friends and family.

Four of us went for an early dinner as my grand daughter was staying with us. The staff were very attentive, and happy to make recommendations , and very patient with us changing our minds over what we wanted... there was so much that appealed to us all it was hard to stick to a choice ! We eventually had the garlic prawns,really good with the chilli, the mushrooms were delicious and plentiful, as we all tried one ! My son had the penne puttanesca, as a starter ,as he's always wanted to try it . We also had a half and half tomato and cheese garlic bread. Two of us had the lobster ravioli , as recommended by Wendy, absolutely lovely. Then the pizza and carbonara hit the spot as well. Only the younger nembers of ggd party could manage dessert, both of them went with the nutella pancake, which they demolished. A lovely family evening , great food and service, very reasonably priced. We will be back soon.

We arrived at the restaurant to a warm welcome. We sat in the lounge area and had delicious appetizers along with great wine reccomended to us by Giuseppe We then went into the main restaurant where we had a really tasty meal. I can reccomend the "king prawns" they were delicious as was my main pasta course. We all thourally enjoyed our meal brought to us by attentive staff in a great atmosphere. The restaurant is first class.

Had a superb meal on the 8th July at Giuseppe's to celebrate my husbands birthday. Had pre dinner drinks in the superb lounge and then went into the restaurant and had a very leisurely meal. Staff very attentive.yes can highly recommend.

Called in for lunch and found the restaurant itself to be stylishly decorated and Giuseppe himself (I presume) very welcoming.

We’ve eaten here numerous times as we’re local, and it never disappoints. Service is always attentive and quick, and the food is well cooked with decent portion sizes. We’re always welcomed by the owners and any special requests are always honoured. Nice area to sit out in the sunshine for a drink, and a decent selection at the bar. Great, well run restaurant with reliable, tasty food. Highly recommended.

My husband and i went on saturday for my birthday. It was recommended by a friend. The restaurant looks smart and felt friendly. Our table was ready on arrival and our order wasbtaken promptly. I had pate to start and my husband had minestrone soup both of which was delicious. I then had the gorgonzola chicken and he had lasagne which he said was the best he had for a long time. The service was good on the whole however we were then left and not asked if we would like a dessert or coffee.We waited quite some time but then asked for the bill and left. This however is my only criticism and would go there again.

Food and wine was very nice, the service was great and you're not mithered which I like. Decor very nice too and plenty of space between you and the next table. Cannot fault tonights meal

Me and my partner had a very enjoyable meal last night at Guiseppe’s. The food was extremely well presented and delicious. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive. The atmosphere was good and the menu was extensive and very reasonably priced. Looking forward to our next visit.

Called up for Sunday lunch and had another fantastic meal at Giuseppe's we both had the chicken with different sauces ,I had the blue cheese and my wife had the pepper sauce which she said was the best she had ever had anywhere. I started with the fish soup recommended by Giuseppe's himself and it was incredible ! definitely the best I have had anywhere.We had the wine of the month a full bodied reserve red which also went down a treat/.can't wait to go again as its always a real treat for the taste buds.

Visited Giuseppe’s Italian restaurant this weekend with our friends, hadn’t been since it was the Spread Eagle many years ago, when we lived just around the corner! Was so happy to see it brought back to life by such an amazing friendly couple, love the refurbishment.

Had a lovely meal with family on Saturday evening, the food and services were superb despite the restaurant being extremely busy. The seafood risotto was the best I'd ever had and my nephew loved the pizza carne misto. Very friendly atmosphere and attentive staff (without being intrusive). Have recommended to many of my friends and colleagues since my visit (advised them to book as clearly a very popular restaurant).

We along with our guest's visited the restaurant 31st May. We were very pleased with all aspects of food and service. The staff were attentive to our needs but discrete once we were satisfied with the various courses and condiments. From my perspective I would highly recommend this establishment. Whenever we go to Giuseppe’s, we have always left happy , filled with delicious food. Our children love it there and the food and so do we . The staff is friendly and always super welcoming .

Sat 2nd June . First visit since the opening under the new owners. Very disappointing to say the least. Had to wait over half an hour to be shown to our table, then had to ask for our order to be taken, a 40 min wait for our starters to arrive and so it went on. The young staff were doing the best they could but didn't seem to have anybody experienced to oversee them. The food when it arrived was just ok. We did get a free bottle of wine as way of an apology but the night was spoiled by the poor service.

Just eaten an excellent meal here. Fabulous choices on offer, Smart place but with a lovely relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. We'll definitely be visiting again!

We ate here on the 30th May around 7pm, to our surprise (and joy) it was quite busy for a mid week day.

We had heard that it was worth the trip, so last Saturday we travelled from South Manchester and we are glad we did.

Another great experience. The food here is second to none. 4 clean plates including those of 2 usually fussy teenagers! Chefs and staff excellent. Have recommended this resteraunt to everyone I know. Well done Giuseppe, keep it up!

I have visited Guiseppes several times now since it opened at the end of last year and I have to say the restaurant is beautifully decorated, there is a lovely atmosphere, the service is excellent and the food fabulous. They have an excellent choice of gins to chose from in the bar. I had home made asparagus ravioli last night... it was I think, the tastiest pasta I have ever eaten. Would highly recommend this place.

Went here a few weeks ago with family including siblings and elderly parents. We were very well looked after from start to finish. Staff obviously well trained and made good efforts to accommodate us in an area where my parents could easily access - they are getting on a little. Staff attentive and pleasant, food excellent and very tasty. Good atmosphere - a little noisy later when a large group of ladies insisted on talking over each other and just got louder and louder. Anyway back to service and food - excellent. Thanks, will visit again.

We dined early midweek and enjoyed a range of pasta dishes , pizza and delicious ribs. The restaurant is cosy and welcoming and the food great for a mid week treat.

What a lovely place! The location is beautiful and the building is very inviting. The staff are attentive and professional and it is well priced. The chicken liver starter was delicious as was the goats cheese ravioli. The only reason it’s four not a five stars is the baked Alaska wasn’t great.

The ,meal was quite delicious but the evening was marred only by the very loud Guiseppe who appeared to like to keep his staff under control by his loud manner, wasn't to keen on the area we dined in, it was a bit claustrophobic for my liking i was too close to the next table but the restaurant was full and no other free table

My review of Giuseppe’s Restaurant is very much overdue as the first time we were waited on was in January for our daughter’s 18th birthday. Our friends and family from around the North-West were very much delighted with the generous portions of fabulous Italian food and accompanying wine, all at an excellent price. All in all, it was a very special evening, shared with great company in a lovely yet vibrant atmosphere.

We loved Guiseppe when he was at Baracco, we loved Guiseppe when he was at San Marino and now it is really, really good to see that he now has his own place with his own name up. We've been here a few times now and every single time it's been brilliant: fantastic Italian hospitality and cuisine. The tomato garlic bread has the most flavoursome topping I've ever come across, the fish is so fresh it's still flapping on your dish, I love the Mediterranean style vegetables that come under the main dish, there's some truly delicious wine on offer and of course the Italian hospitality is second to none, making for a great atmosphere and a great evening out every time. The decor is really good and there's a nice bar area too. And, of course, we love Mrs Guiseppe too.

Tried booking on Sunday for 6pm.

It was my first time visiting the restaurant and i was not disappointed. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious. The calmari which I had for my starter was one of The best I've ever had!! (Especially since I've been to Scily and many other Italian restaurants). I noticed that the staff were quite busy and didn't engage with the customers very often but apart from that, the staff were very helpful.

Fabulous food, fabulous atmosphere, fabulous drinks, fabulous staff. Really good evening. Waiters and waitresses couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. Highly recommend.

Food was excellent again. Service superb without being intrusive. Friendly and welcoming. Chicken livers and sea bass were delicious. Risotto very good also. We also took pizzas away as friends were visiting for a late supper. These were also superb. Thank you

We have visited many Italian restaurants both here and in other countries..... this one is by far the best for ambience, decor, servic3 and if course the food. We travelled from another County and were recommended to come here and weren't disappointed. The home made Tiramasu was fantastic . Definitely worth the visit . Great access roads, parking and taxis so no excuse not to try the great variety of Gins.....
