Amazing place, I’ve been coming here for over 6 years. Great drinks and snacks, wonderful service from the owner Zoe but also, all other staff- you’re really welcomed in. And the evening events such as wine tasting are epic!

Lovely relaxed café atmosphere, with pleasant staff and great (but not intrusive) music. We had coffees and shared a meat and cheese platter — simple food done really well. We didn’t sample any gins this time - but will be going back.

Oh what a lovely little gem of a place. Zoe and her team have an amazing selection of food, gifts and drinks. She makes everyone feel welcome. Pop in for a coffee and cake or something a little stronger.

Really noises and smells of garlick. Not very polite.

We stopped here for lunch on our way down to Cheltenham (it's not far from the M42) and what a delightful little find it was. The host could not do enough for you without being imposing. She was also very knowledgable about the gins she stocked, of which there were over 100, and made great recommendations. Would definitely recommend.

Such a lovely cafe - decor and shopping selection are great but please please get some dairy free milk alternatives so we can come for coffee!

Great to see the Alvechurch Square businesses open, Cafe life, active, on a slightly blustery week day, enjoyed a warm and friendly welcome, excellent coffee and cake, and a great sense of normality... definitely recommend even if your not a Gin or Whiskey drinker, there's great local produce, including Withybed honey, which is especially distinctive imho and a great selection of preserved goods.

Enjoyed a few treats from this place and last year (life before Covid!) I thoroughly enjoyed the event hosted here, Supper Club. I have previously purchased a gift hamper and it was spot on as I had some very specific requirements. Lovely place, lots of amazing products, great and personal customer service. Look forward to my next visit.

Zoe from Gin & Pickles is starting to do again her supper club evenings again. The caterers are Canary Kitchen. We have been to two so far and last nights was simply superb. Each of the courses were truly stunning and left my wife and I wanting more of each. These were accompanied by cocktails and drinks which slipped down a treat. Great value for money At £50 per head inclusive, although we added a cheeky additional glass of red wine each. Zoe is a great mine host! Left feeling very satisfied and will definitely return soon.

Our second time. Last time a gin tasting with food. This time a food tasting with gin, wine and cocktails. Same outcomes. Great, food, great wines, great atmosphere and a huge asset to the area. Buy locally and support a wonderful business

Love it here! Vast selection of gins and other beverages, tasty deli counter and nibbles too, as well as sweet treats galore. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff too

Amazing food accompanied by fantastic drinks during our recent Supper Club experience! Highlights would have to be the tofu choc mousse- so silky and smooth- and the Cotswolds Cream liqueur. Zoe’s little deli/ bistro manages to create ambience and deliciousness with impeccable service. Love love love!!

Went out with some friends for a meal found gin and pickles on arrival into Alvechurch popped in for a cheeky gin. Very welcoming great selection of drinks. Will definitely go again

One of the nicest delicatessen style coffee shops that I have visited. Proprietress is an absolute delight and coffee was delicious in a big mug.

What a lovely delicatessen with an amazing range of delicacies to choose from - many local. But sit down and have a coffee and cake or better still a cheese and meat board with a pint of one of the local beers. Would we go again - YES!!!

Visited late afternoon on a Thursday for a cheeky gin. Just made it before it shut at 5pm. But they had Gin tasting that evening. Great selection of Gin. I chose Cotswold Dry with Ordinary tonic. Also humus and crackers to keep us going till super. Very friendly welcome and well informed about their gins - a good selection available to buy, and tonics. Also stocked cheese (3 of them Welsh) and chocolate and other goodies. Wish it was closer to home.

Gin and pickles is a great addition to the village, I went here the day it opened, and it has gone from strength to strength. Zoe is very welcoming, everyone is treated individually, and for a gin lover, like my friend, it’s paradise! We had a cheese & meat platter, which was good, with delicious bread. We’ll be back ! (Actually we were the next day ! )

I love this little addition to the village Alvechurch - a friendly place where they serve the best selection of gin and tonic’s of anywhere I know & also a tasty range of nibbles, platters, mezze, cheeses etc I highly recommend a visit!

Love popping in with my son for a coffee and a pastry, though it is hard to leave with out something tasty. My son loves the olives and the selection of cheeses are worth the visit. If your thinking of having an family free evening the staff is more than happy to help you put together a cheese plater and some tipples to compliment it all.

..went yesterday to finally have a look.. delightful and delicious choice of meats and cheeses..gin a plenty and good knowledge of products..served with a soft smile too...great to sit in or outside too..back for some food today...also variety of IPA and ciders too

We happened upon this place by accident when we stopped off as part of a canal boat holiday. We had a wonderful time here trying out different gins. The prices are very good £4 for a single and £7 for a double and the drink comes with all the condiments to bring out the best flavours! They also have really nice items that you can buy - such as gin themed cards, miniature bottles and printed bags. The selection of gins to either drink on the premises or to buy in large and mini bottles is just awesome. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheeses to buy! My two favourite things in the world - gin and pickles. What's not to love!! I tried the Salcombe gin which contains 13 different botanicals - loved it! The service is also great here - strongly recommended to visit!

I visited here yesterday for afternoon tea and had a lovely time. The service was excellent, staff were welcoming and friendly and the food was amazing especially the scones! Overall I would highly recommend!

Really lovely place. Zoe (owner) did a good job. It’s like Harvey Nichols of Alvechurch. Massive choice of gins and not only. Fabulous cheeses and other items on the shelves. Also Gin Testing Evenings are a big asset to the business too. Fantastic place to be!!

I went with a few friends from the gym. I had a great time. Gin cocktails were tasty, which says something as I don’t really like gin!!!

I went for a light lunch with some family. Cheese scones and the cheddar were delicious. Fell off the wagon a bit for dry January and ordered a gin - the Seville orange was delicious! I’ll definitely be going back.

Fantastic, super friendly and down to earth comfortable atmosphere. Vegan friendly. Can eat and drink in. Take a reusable cup for take away hot drinks.

This is still new and learning - so don't expect an extensive menu yet. However the ambience is great, service is friendly and there are plenty of edible treats to buy as presents.

Great new deli in Alvechurch. Great coffee and a huge selection of gins, wines, cheeses, chutneys (and more) that you won’t find elsewhere. Everything you’d expect from a top deli! Highly recommended.

Always a very friendly welcome, have been 4 times now, always great coffee or gin! Extremely useful for Christmas meal ingredients and presents. Recommend for nice cheese and posh condiments.

Booked a table for 4 for an early evening drink and food with friends. Drinks were gorgeous, the gin choice is just right. The staff were happy to help us with our choices to suit our palettes. We ordered a platter of cheese/meat/vegan for 4, presented lovely, if I was to be slightly critical I would say that I would expect some 'pickle' of some sort on the platter, a bit more bread and maybe some crisps, it just didn't feel like there was quite enough food to soak the Gin up, but this certainly wouldn't put me off coming again as I really enjoyed it, I just like to give a good, honest review. Only other 'slight' critism is that we got a little chilly but it was a really cold night. Lovely selection of goodies to buy for gifts and for own consumption! A lovely little place. Will return to try more gins.

Excellent service, selection of cheeses and local beers. Fresh breads, croissants, and a good selection of gins and wine. They also sells nice hot sauces, dips, and relishes.
