Giggling Squid - Harborne in Dudley

Had a fabulous lunch here. Food was hot and tasty and presented well. Service was friendly and quick. The Manager was very attentive and checked we were having a good experience. Ambience lovely too.

A lovely restaurant and a gorgeous meal. Staff went above and beyond to give us a littlr special treat for our anniversary. We will definitely be returning.

An efficient method of getting people through 2 courses in good time. Nice clean and well decorated space including toilets. Happy with food. We had pork skewers and a mushroom dish for starters. Prawns and Thai red curry very good. Service could have been a bit warmer.

First visit on Friday evening - booked online, welcomed warmly, shown to a good table by the pass (disguised by a wonderful wall of silk flowers). Ordered glasses of rose wine and sauvignon blanc which went well with the food, Thai garlic hake and pad Thai prawn and jasmine rice. Generous portions of tasty, well presented food. Service very professional, not obtrusive but effective. such a pleasant change. finished off with mini chocolate melt pudding and coffee and a liquor. What a great evening. will definitely be back.

Every visit to this branch of GS is a joy. The staff are wonderful, so friendly, with a warm greeting and fabulous service. The food is always excellent, having travelled extensively in Thailand, this is some of the best Thai food I have eaten anywhere. We went for a friends Birthday which I casually mentioned and when desert arrived, so did the wonderful staff with a special treat, singing Happy Birthday which made my friends day. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, the decor is beautiful and stylish, first rate food and service.

We went to the giggling squid for a meet-up with some family friends. There were eight of us in total. When we sat down we were told we had 1 hour and 45 minutes before someone else needed our table. For us this was fine. However if someone tells me I have a certain amount of time I don’t expect it to take ages to get menus then ages to get drinks and so on. The food was excellent. The kids portions were absolutely huge and our family friends got a takeaway box for the rest of the lovely kids food that two of their children had left.

The food was superb, the service exemplary and the atmosphere delightful. All in all this was a wonderful experience and I cannot recommend it enough. 5 stars 🌟

Great food, reasonable price and quick, friendly service. Only downside is the parking near the Harborne Hugh St. But that doesn't reflect badly on Giggling Squid. Honestly is probably the best Thai food I've had out of the fair few I've been to. FYI- had the Hawker set (lunch menu). Would definitely have it again.

We visited this Giggling Squid in Harborne on 9th February and Best was the server for our table, this amazing lady did everything perfect, the way she spoke to us, explaining the menu and table service were truly 10/10. We visited Giggling squid Harborne more than a few times since the opening back in 2021. Always enjoyed the food and service in fact we celebrated my birthday in the past and received acknowledgement and a little cake from the staff. However today despite informing the restaurant that this wss a special birthday lunch, it was disappointing to find that there was no birthday acknowledgement or any little cake which we found very disappointing as it is this kind of attention to details which makes restaurant stand out from the competition. No longer special venue for special celebration hence the overall low score.

Beautiful place. Delicious lunch (Hawker Set: Chicken Tom Kha Soup, Minced Chicken Gra Pao , Prawns Wok Fried with Ginger, Special Fried Rice). Lauren, who served me, was very friendly and helpful. I’ll go back soon to try more dishes, and will recommend to friends.

Beautiful food and venue, just a shame one of the servers was rudely trying to rush us out when we wanting a relaxing meal. However Mew was our primary waitress and she was wonderful!

Took forever to get our drinks, the food cane out quickly my seafood main was way too salty. I definitely get the concept but after visiting a few times I'm just not impressed with the food.

Lovely spot for lunch with friends for a birthday treat. Lovely settings and great food. Total bill with drinks was £80 for 3 which was very well priced. Highly recommend the lunch tapas - a great way to taste all the lovely options available.

We had heard good things and already have their cookery book and then had an opportunity for a lunch and we were not disappointed. The decor and atmosphere is very nice and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The menus are very varied and the food was very tasty. We ordered from the lunch tapas menu and everything was very tasty - squid, satay, wings, roast duck, gra pao, prawns. Shame the dumplings weren’t available but will be back to try them again another time. Highly recommended.

Lovely setting with a fantastic spiral staircase. We ordered various dishes including the shared mixed starter that was splendid. Lovely food plenty of garlic and would definitely return.

My first visit. A couple of things not available off the menu but atleast the food is so popular its running out. My meal was hot and delicious. The interior is stunning. Staff very attentive and friendly. My one and only criticism, a service charge added to the bill is an American habit we can do without. I'd like to leave a tip because my server deserves it, not because it's on the bill...does my waitress have to pay tax on this? Does she even get this service charge?

Lovely venue. Went on 3rd Nov to celebrate a birthday. Ate upstairs and our server was amazing. So attentive and friendly. And we got free ice cream and a happy birthday song! A great evening and fab food too.

First time trying the Harborne branch of giggling squid, interior was very impressive. Service was quick and attentive. We had starters and mains which were nice, not a huge Thai curry fan but still enjoyed it. Did feel it was a bit pricey for what we had, especially with the 10% added to the bill. Defo worth a try but I won’t be rushing back.

My daughter and I went for lunch and really enjoyed 5 tapas plates. The food was sooooo delicious. The service was helpful, interested and the staff were delightful. We only had just over an hour and we didn’t feel rushed but enjoyed the lovely surroundings, staff and food.

We had to change our booking twice on the night and the staff were brilliant and respectful in changing and accommodating us. The service was not rushed and just perfect. Our host Best was really knowledgable and helpful with ordering and recommendations too. A great first visit.
