Absolutely delicious, great staff and proper draft beer. The soup was just amazing. Diabetics beware. There's a lot of sweet stuff, as is Thai. But oh, so yummy. Book by phoning. We used the website but it was full and they sent an email back cancelling us. But they let us use the reception table in the end. Truly superb.

We are not local to the area and was driving through and found this place on Google. What a find, throughly enjoyed the lunch special and whilst not local we are only in Worcester, so will definitely return!

Great food,great service. Went for the lunch time special. Two courses for 12.95. I had battered squid to start,very nice. And chicken massaman curry with boiled rice. Fab presentation. My wife had prawn toast and chicken satay to start,followed by red Thai curry,she enjoyed it as well.

Food and service excellent but room needs updating.

We went here for our Valentines Lunch due to babysitter commitments... The food was absolutely gorgeous... It was 2 courses for £12.95 pp but we added an extra starter as we couldn't decide and then shared them all and the mains. Service was great.. Will definitely be coming back for the value and the quality of food 😊

The food is nowhere near the standard it sure to be. I ordered a takeaway and I arrived to collect only to be told they calculated the price incorrectly. I am sorry vendor but that is your problem not mine, however they refused to release the food until I paid what they asked for

Food was good, nice atmosphere, very busy, a nice selection of food, but felt bit crammed in so staff couldn't quite get to you to serve you, decent price as cost about £35 per person for a 3 course meal, drinks (some being cocktails). Would go again.

We eat in this place once or twice a year and find the food and service consistently good. It's situated at the back of a pub and once inside you enter a really nicely decorated room with Thai pictures etc. They do Enville ale on tap which is a bonus as well. Service is friendly and the food is always tasty and hot. We find this place to be reasonably priced and we will definitely be going again.

Just had a lovely meal here but unfortunately it does come with a couple of words of warning. If you are gluten free the menu choice is severely restricted with only 3 or 4 starters and only the curry for main. There was a little lack of attention to detail, having to ask for cutlery, when another table was cleared the mess on the floor remained and the gents had a rather unpleasant odour. The restaurant is obviously popular and I would go back, but if there could be any improvement in GF choice I'd go more often.

My wife and I are regulars here for the lunch time special menu. We recently visited as a family birthday meal 6 adults and 2 young children. Price presentation and service of food was excellent as normal. Restaurant has be closed for a short period due to family illness but now open again and pleased to say offering normal high level of hospitality . Never really ate Thai food until we tried here. It was lovely and service is always great here.

I just love this Thai. Dont expect to be here long because the service is that quick we are normally in and out in about 1 hour . The food is all pipping hot, fresh and full of flavour. Although when full it can get veryyyyyy LOUD as the room is only small. Staff are friendly but some ask you for numbers on the menu when ordering , which i never know as i always just ask for what i want. Make sure you book or you will not get a table on weekends. The best Thai around here and ive been to Thailand alot so recommend the food for authenticity.

What a hidden gem, I never knew that this place existed, invited by a work colleague. Wow, please do try, beautiful place, fantastic food, and prices weren't bad either. It's best to book up , it's very popular.

We had a buffet for 48 people to celebrate my son's 18th birthday. The food was outstanding- we had a choice of starters, curries & rice. The staff were extremely attentive. We'll definitely be going back.

We have just come back from our son's 18th birthday meal which we held at Sommai Thai. I can't praise the staff enough for the delicious buffet they provided for 48 of us & for their attentiveness. Everything was absolutely perfect.

Before last night's rude experience from owner of restaurant, sommai was a favourite of mine, I've been a regular customer for many weeks now, as I thought I had found the perfect thai restaurant to suit my vegetarian dietary requirements, and always thought how friendly the staff was, unfortunately this is no longer the case, sadly the waitress that normally looks after us was not in, which is why we had the not so friendly service from owner, the owner has 0 customer skills, she is rude and can't take any critism and shows no remorse to loyal customers, this woman does not deserve a successful business, she does not care for the customers and begrudges you if you don't spend a fortune, she should be grateful with any amount spent in my opinion, just a warning if you do come to this restaurant and you find any faults with food, it's prob best to not say anything, because owner will not care and will expect you to pay double for replacement and will not say sorry, I'm sure I'll get a reply with sarcasm and hopefully you will be able to witness your selfs how rude she is.

Usually love this place and the customer service so it's sad we had such a bad experience this time. Our food which usually is delicious was over cooked. My meat was very dry. I did not eat it for ages as it was so hot but once I did I called the manager over to get it sorted, thinking it would be a simple swap. However we was both shocked and appalled how we was spoken to. We was told next time I would get charged to replace it as she was saying I had eaten too much (three pieces of meat) and not said anything sooner. It ruined what is normally a nice night out and I was expecting some kind of compensation but they still charged full price and did not say sorry. Infact she shouted something to her college in her language that we suspect was an insult towards me after I explained our dissatisfaction. Also I have attached a photo of the a piece of chicken of my second plate that looks like it had blood in it. Don't think we can return after that experience.

Fantastic atmosphere and excellent food! Delicious and displayed beautifully. Had the set menu to experience multiple dishes and was blown away by the quality and flavour. Highly recommend!

We’ve been to the Sommai Thai now on a number of occasions, and we’ve always had a fantastic meal. The lunch time menu, although much smaller than the main menu, still has plenty of choice, with tasty food at a fair price!

Authentic beautiful food presented with stunning garnish. The atmosphere was good and the waitresses were is traditional dress. This is off the beaten track and at the back of a pub, so inknew it was going to be excellent because they neednto be due to the location. Not to be missed, I will be back.

Visited the Sommai Thai for the first time after reading the reviews. The meals we had were fantastic great choice of meals from the menu. Considering it was the first weekend after New Year the restaurant was full. Would not hesitate to go back. With drinks the meal cost us £109 which was not bad for the four of us. If you love Thai food you will like Sommai Thai. Would recommend.

Thai at it's best. Also not expected to find it where it is at the back of a pub. Every new years eve we go and still as good as ever.

Yet again we have been for the truly amazing lunchtime service. All of the food is piping hot and delicious. The service is always exceptional and the price is amazing - starter and main for £12.95 each. The atmosphere even on a Tuesday lunchtime is wonderful and we cannot recommend highly enough. Having travelled through Thailand extensively it is always exciting to find real Thai food with the correct flavours. The food at Sommai Thai is good honest Thai food. I had the Massaman and it was flavoured beautifully. There is a good selection of drinks and we really enjoyed the cocktails. Service was spot on too. I will always visit when I am home. Thank you.

Visited the other night & ordered a set meal for two as part of our group, they brought the mixed Thai platter out, which was lovely. Beautiful to look at & tasted amazing, but when our main dishes came out, I found a long blonde hair in my food. Such a shame as no one wants to find this, I called the waitress over & showed her. She apologised & removed my plate, & then came back & said I took it to the kitchen but none of us have blonde hair were all dark, well I said its not mind either. When the bill arrived I noticed no deduction off the bill so I called the manager over who said I'd asked them to give you 10% off your bill. Which she sorted. Usually the food is spot on, & the staff.

We came to celebrate a birthday. We ordered the starter platter. It was ok. Chicken was a bit dry and some of the fried items were a bit overdone. For mains we got Thai red curry with coconut and steamed rice. The rice was great. The issue was the red curry. It was rather bland and not spicy at all. Now we have an average spice tolerance but this was equivalent to eating a chicken korma from an Indian. The staff were good and very polite though. Except the one older thai lady who ignored our request for some water when giving the mains. Overall I don't think we would return. The food didn't blow us away. We have been to other local Thai restaurants where we have had a much better experience. However they was rather busy and got the food out quick too which was good. Draught beer was also very good but could've been poured with a better head.

Dreadful service in the evenings Clueless waiters apart of 1 😂😂😂avoid eye contact, don’t pick up glasses or empties Randomly bring unasked stuff out multiple times but then don’t bring stuff asked you asked for multiple times , then as we didn’t want to pay for something we didn’t order and as they over clutter your table we accidentally broke a glass which we apologised for which was before all the incidents with the rest of the dreadful service when the drinks first originally came out 😂😂😂which they then think is purposeful Try their best to overcharge you Don’t ask if you want condiments then suddenly there’s a limit on ordering condiments Manager asks them to clean up which they surprisingly do when busy however when it’s quiet they won’t do it by themselves, a lot of training needed We used to come a lot and the manager used to be quite nice when it wasn’t as popular due to the good food. Disgusted and won’t be coming back.

My family have been using this Thai for a few months and up to now we have always raved about how fantastic the food is. However, tonight they have truly let themselves down. Our rice was forgotten from our order, which we went all the way back to pick up. After returning, the two curries we had tasted exactly the same, the sticky rice we went all the way back for was undercooked in the middle, along with the potato in my curry. Such a shame, I hope that this an isolated issue. The starters we had were delicious though, chicken in pandan leaf and the Thai soup.

We'd not been here for a few years but time hasn't changed the Sommai. The food tastes fresh and spicy whilst the care that goes into the presentation is exceptional.

Very pleasant evening, menu is extensive and all of our choices were excellent. Particularly liked the beef green curry.

Nice little place. We had the sharing platter. The presentation was the best bit but there wasn't no real flavour, nothing standing out and the accompanied sources were a bit bland too. However the main course was was great. I had the fish no. 27 on the menu but really all our main dishes were flavoursome and satisfying. Table service by the proprietors was excellent. A good family dining experience.

I'm not a That curry expert but this ain't a curry. I ordered a jungle curry. From my experience, the sauce is supposed to be thick and the flavour spicy. Neither of these came with this curry. Instead I got a watery mess. How is this supposed to be a curry. It was a less spicy version of Tom Yum soup that I ordered. Mixed it with rice and guess what...yeah soggy rice! Called up and they said it was their take on a jungle curry. No no no...you are a Thai restaurant and you are Thai people...I'm sorry...this is not a twist. It is a mistake. Won't be going back! Whilst I may be ignorant...it also states that jungle curry is supposed to be highly spicy. Your curry is not spicy. It had no flavour at all. Your tom yum had more spice than a jungle curry.
