The Pappardelle al Ragu is beautiful. Tender slow braised beef with a rich tomato sauce. It pairs gorgeously with a glass of red. I even had a couple slices of toasted ciabatta on the side to mop up the sauce (thanks for the bread, guys). A great, authentic Italian dining experience.

From the welcome at the door to the end of the evening, the service & atmosphere was welcoming & relaxing. The food was excellent, the pasta perfectly cooked & the cheeseboard was the perfect finish.

Amazing food, octopus starter was delicious

After a year without visiting Naxos (it’s not so fun dining out solo!) it was great to come back on a Saturday night and to discover a warm welcome, friendly staff and great food! A wonderful melanzana starter, great main of pork stuffed with apricot and spinach, topped off with a mojito cheesecake. Thoroughly recommended!

Waiting staff were very nice and clear with options on the menu, young man bringing our food over very friendly, would. come again

This is a fabulous restaurant serving Mediterranean food of the highest quality. Angelo as owner/chef certainly knows how to present really tasty food. Claudia, his wife runs the front of house with a small team who are friendly, helpful and efficient. My wife and I love the place. We visited with our son and his wife last Friday; this being their first visit and they too fell in love with the place. It is by far the best restaurant in Downham Market.

My son took me last Friday night for a mother's day treat! It was superb.

A wonderful meal for 6 last night. The food was superb, allergies catered for, excellent service and lovely, friendly people. The fact it was busy on a mid week evening says it all! Will definitely be arranging a return visit soon.

Food cooked ok ,but Vastly overpriced for what you get

Went to Naxos for the first time on Friday 9th February. What an absolute joy. Lovely place. Friendly staff and atmosphere was great. Food was lovely and not expensive. Thank you. Chris and Jo Bruce.

Fully booked on the Tuesday evening that we dined there. Busy vibe, but quiet enough to comfortably hold a conversation. Food was superb and the coffee even better. Recommended!

This was our first visit to Naxos. Both my wife and I have scratched our heads as to why we haven’t been there before. Essentially this is a fantastic little Italian restaurant. It is very clean and nicely furnished. The staff are very pleasant, polite, friendly and efficient. The menu caters for all if you like Italian/Sicilian dishes. We both had three courses and they were delicious, nicely cooked and presented. Sensible portions; not large pile it on the plate “Norfolk style ”. A good selection of wines and a good house wine by the glass. Peroni nicely chilled. This all made for a lovely Saturday dining experience. Now we have discovered it we will be back.

The food was delicious, portion sizes were good. Waitress was friendly, service great. We will definitely be going again. Looks like there are a lot of regulars, so I'd recommend booking.

What a lovely restaurant. The menu is well catered for and diverse enough for even the fussiest of eaters. Excellent and simple options but also delicate and unique plates as well. Family feel, lovely atmosphere, the food was freshly prepared and presented ever so beautifully. Very much enjoyed the lunch and being that we live only a stones throw away we are definitely going to return for a dinner as soon as possible.

With a romantic garden, this family run restaurant is a hidden Norfolk gem. From classic Neapolitan pizza and calzone to a ragu that amazes every time.

Average food for price, calzone and pizza had by party was bland in comparison to even a chain like prezzo. Atmosphere was very vibrant, had to wait ages between ordering drinks and starters

Wow! This man is a magician in the kitchen! The flavours are unreal. Yes, it is expensive compared to other local restaurants but it is exceptional and we only go here 3 or 4 times a year as a treat and have never been disappointed. It has a lovely relaxing atmosphere and we will be back again soon.

TL:DR; it's an experience. Check it out when you can. Imagine spending a wonderful evening by the sea after a long voyage. As you disembark from your trusted vessel, you can feel the strange, yet calming warmth in the air. You smell the welcoming seawater as you are wrapped in subtle hints of lemon as you settle down and enjoy an exciting, surprising, but relaxing array of fireworks inviting you to slow down to enjoy life in the present. Culminate it with the unyielding comfort of fresh sheets and the warmth of blankets on your bed combating your weariness as you head into the night to rest, in recuperation and in predictive anticipation of the sun rising again on the next day. I essentially described the experience of the symphony of flavors conjured by Mejillones al Vapor, Spigolla Olive e Capperi, and the Blueberry Panna Cotta in this restaurant's 3 course meal. I'm no food critic. And I'm not into seafood. But they made me see seafood in a new light. The food here is divine. 10/10 will return.

Perfect place for a special occasion meal.

Stayed with a mate again in the town and couldn’t get in the place we ate last time, so popped to see if we could get a table later in the (Friday) evening at Naxos. Walked in the door, smelled amazing, spied a kids meal that looked like heaven on a plate. The next three hours were the longest in my life! Meal time - wow!! Starter, amazing. Main, best pasta dish ever! Dessert, very good (not a dessert person, but v good). Next day, we were mulling over a curry or a return to Naxos. No brainier. We popped our heads in to book again. Another three hour wait for another unbelievable meal. Sea Bream to die for! Food, staff, value for money. Unbelievable!! I’d have gone back for breakfast on the Sunday if they were open. Can’t wait to go back

Nice Italian restaurant, the outdoor seating is great. The food is top quality. Nice selection of wines. And attentive staff. Paid parking is a street away and 1.50 for 2 hours.

Called there on a Sunday lunchtime without booking but they squeezed us in, couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Had the dish of the day Portuguese Stew as recommended by one of the regulars...fabulous lunch and extremely good value. Can't wait to call again when I'm in the area.

Every meal we have had here, as a family or with friends. Has been beautiful, authentic and Antonio and staff are so friendly andd helpful. I would most definitely recommend.

Amazing food octopus is mouth watering im from Cyprus and that is there traditional food and that was bang on 10/10 chicken rapped in parma ham 😋 with roasted veg on point and a lovely garlic butter sauce again amazing , my partner had garlic prawns were absolutely delicious and a vegetable tagine with cous cous again 10/10 definitely recommend naxos , shall be returning soon for seconds 👌👌👌👌👍

Disgraceful service! We booked a table for 4, in the name of Mr Aspinall, some 10 days ago to be in the garden if it was good weather. We travelled 30 miles on a very wet night on August 27th to be told our table was outside in the pouring rain! No alternative offered! Take it or leave it attitude. We asked if there were room inside. NO! No interest in us at all. They could have phoned us to say there was no room inside in view of the weather, but they couldn't be bothered. No text was sent or phone call made to us. No alternative was offered to us just go out in the rain and find somewhere else! We will not be trying to go there again. 4 very disappointed customers. Thank goodness for The Castle who gave us a very warm welcome and a lovely meal !

Lovely food and great service. House wine (a pinot grigio) wasn't great, but still drinkable and obviously affordable! Would definitely come again. *LOCKDOWN TIP* Remember that if you want to tip you need to tip in cash, as sadly you can't add this to the bill if you're paying on card!
