GG'S Caribbean Takeaway in Manchester

This is the only place I will endure slow service. There are all sorts of issues if we're judging this by fast food standards. I don't think it's occurred to them they're actually in the fast food business tbh. All that aside, it's easily the best Carribean food in Manchester, so I'll endure all the other stuff. There's only 1 GG's 😎

Wonderfull food , I usually get curry goat with rice and peas , dumpling and patty . Very clean place , sometimes a bit of a wait they are busy with phone orders but we'll worth it , no doubt I would recommend GG,S . I drive an hour and half just for the food . Staff are polite and sociable .

just ordered from here for the first time. i had a steak split and two dumplings. the food was tasty, fresh and seasoned perfectly and dumplings where the best ive had. actually quite shocked at some of the negative reviews after todays experience. il be back regular

My mum and dad have ordered from here a few times now and there’s always been an issue with the food or missing items from the order. Today my dad had to throw a whole meal in the bin because his chicken was burnt to crisp and there was barely any meat mostly bones. Lovely staff and service but just seems like they are overwhelmed with orders and mistakes are being made. Some of the meals have been lovely it just seems to be hit and miss.

Absolutely perfect, order pepper steak half rice chips 5/5 and chicken curry and rice 5/5 will be recommending and ordering from here again

Came nearly 1.5 hours late. Didn’t even eat it as I was already in bed when it came. Very very disappointed to say the least !!!

£18 for 2 meals to be thrown in the bin luke warm and didn’t taste fresh at all , tough chicken bland food.

This place has been around for a while, all the other Caribbean places locally are closed down so thought I would give this a try. Prices not cheap but feel it's the going rate these days. Jerk chicken was dry and looked oven cooked with no chargrilled taste. Curry mutton was tasty. Portions were ok, about average. Not in a hurry to return

Absolutely gorgeous. Had the curried goat which was beautiful, loads of meat this time 10/10 missed the dumplings but they soon rectified it. Thank you 👍🏻

Beautiful as usual. I ordered the curry goat. Only criticism is I wish they’d put more meat in than bone. But was still spot on 👍🏻

Pepper steak was decent, ordered rice and peas but got boiled rice, ordered steam veg, got none, also large portion was not large, dumpling was very nice. Disappointed and not worth nearly £15.

I ordered at 18:58 and didn’t receive my food until 20:53 which is absolutely ridiculous and freezing cold! Requested a refund at 20:36 due to waiting but was refused! Would rather the refund than cold food! What a waste!

3rd time they have got my order wrong this time asked for mayonnaise on my chicken split put gravy on it AGAIN for the 2nd time got oxtail and it’s basically just bones chips we’re not cooked properly AGAIN person on the phone not helpful at all DO NOT order from here if you actually want what you have ordered

Ordered jerk chicken and pepper steak food was bland and tasteless and left me with a sour stomach would not recommend.

Excellent food as usual if I could give 10/10 I would,I really look forward to eating a meal when I order from here cooked to perfection thank you very much.

Everytime I try to order, like now 5pm on a Friday, they closed, it seems that they open and close whenever they want. When they are open, never enough stock prepared always running out of something every day. Deliveries seems random, Uber was closed but just eat was open at 3. Phone lines sometimes work sometimes don't. When you do phone, you just get told to come to shop but then you get there and not got what you want. Should be able to place phone collection orders. As a ex-fast food manager, I have to say it's not really a great way to run a business.

Both times I have ordered now I have not received what I ordered. Plus missing items. Just very poor. Will not be ordering from here again.

Ordered a dumpling and veg didn’t receive with order which was disappointing rice was clumped together needed more peas in rice

the food was not great the rice taste burnt and was hard in the curry goat and we git a peppered steak meal which the meat was burnt and it was not peppery but overly sweet like that put sugar in it not nice have ordered from this same place probably 20 times in past few years and the quality has declined over that time

Veg and peas was missing i phoned up to be told there was no veg left and was only white rice false advertisement

Not happy with my order today the food looked like a left over 😕 very very very small portion .I have ordered here more than 5 times and everything awalys perfect 👌 but today not happy at all thrown my money away tonight.

Food arrived stone cold. The restaurant put the food had been delivered when it hadn’t staying they do that as the driver is on the way to the shop weird. Stated food would be warm and fresh as it’s under a heater. It was an hour later than delivery time so wasn’t total waste of money won’t order again

I had the pepper steak, rice and peas and dumpling , was so nice the meat just fell apart, bought extra gravy to dip the dumpling in which was unreal, loved it, will be ordering about 5 dumpling next time, will definitely be ordering again!

Ordered 6 items got one the rest wasn't with order the one item had been cooked god knows when and took out the freezer n left to defrost and was still frozen I rang n was told it is what it is never again will I order from here avoid at all cost

Food was over 45 mins late and cold I am not one to complain but this has happened on multiple occasions and when I’ve tried get a refund or explanation just refused. Shame as the food is good

Running a restaurant is hard, knowing our strengths and weaknesses is key. Hence why, I don’t recommend you to run collections/deliveries order because of the service offered. Waiting 2 hours and 15 mins for food is unacceptable.

Rude woman rubbish food Zero star

Food was very flavoursome however, it was STONE COLD. I was in disbelief at how cold the mac and cheese was. I actually phoned the store to find out why and he informed me that customers are expected to warm up the mac and cheese. Yes, the whole purpose of ordering and paying high prices for food to be delivered is because it is expected to be cooked. I’m very disappointed. I will definitely not be ordering from here again.

I never leave bad reviews or complain I usually just move Onto the next place but I need to with this place for a number of reasons, firstly the big guy there is really ignorant, he either hates his job or hates people in general. Secondly I suspect he makes the prices up, (especially if you’re an average white guy), he’s took the price menu down so you can’t even check anything, the prices have gone ridiculous, thirdly don’t touch the Oxtail if do happen to go in, it consists of huge pieces of bone with what can only be described as meat skin on them, I basically ended up with oxtail juice and rice, there was honestly no meat in the tray, the huge pieces of bone took up all the room, I don’t know if it was served like that purposely or that’s how it usually comes but I’ve never seen anything like it, no meat whatsoever, all for about 17 quid if you want a can of coke too. 17 quid for a my dinner and was still hungry after it. Joke of a place. And if you happen to walk in when there’s someone else in-front of you take a kip in the corner and tell him to wake you up when he’s done serving Jesus Christ. Possibly the worst take out experience I’ve ever had.

Awful restaurant. Do NOT order online you’ll be waiting a minimum of 2 hours. Paid for large curry goat basically got 1000 bones and minimal amount of curry. Paid for Mac and cheese which they did not have so they threw in two wings which do not mount up to the value of the Mac and cheese. Chicken split also had a bone in it which my partner nearly choked on. Avoid this place stop putting money into their establishment

Have you waiting almost 3 hours then phone to say they miss placed my order so it will take another 45min for one curry goat an chicken split absolute joke they have ran this place to the ground since taking over never again going here

The food was disgusting, I ordered oxtail but got beef stew with rice and peas, also Snapper fish which I received Salmon. Absolutely disgusting and Disappointing!

Delivery was late..food was barely warm..chicken wings were plain wings not jerk wings..the jerk meal there was no veg yet I called them over the phone first before I ordered and specifically asked for steamed vegetables..on tasting the food it was bland hardly any spice or flavour..the gravy tasted like it was full of sugar..the jerk chicken tasted of metal from what ever the chicken is cooked on..the chips looked like they were anemic and soggy..the pattie was dry and flavourless..some people may like the food but I won’t be ordering again that is safe to say and the only reason I ordered was because PEPPERS IS CLOSED IN NEWTON HEATH

We ordered 3 curry goats with rice. By the looks of what we got, they thought we wanted curry bone and rice. We have a full deconstructed goat skeleton in our bin and we’re alll very hungry despite spending £40+ on food. Staff huffed at us when asking for forks/drinks. Not impressed

Said the order had been delivered on the website (it hadn't) got no answer when ringing up the following hour resulting in me requesting a refund, ordering from somewhere else, just for it to show up after paying for another order.

My sauce on oxtail had leaked out of the unusal tray. I asked for large not the normal and the sauce that i had added on notes on 'notes' was bbq. Normally spot on here but dissapointed tonight as dry small food with bbq sauce that doesnt go with ox.

Jerk chicken was good. Gravy nice. Veg hardly any in the dish. Plantain and rice & peas dry. Not bad but had much better elsewhere.

Restaurant cancelled my order within 5 mins after accepting, reporting to Uber that I’d “called and cancelled the order” in order to be able to still charge. Was able to contact Uber and provide phone logs that this was not the case but a clear deliberate attempt at scamming!

Absolutely lovley food as always , love the goat curry and the dumplings are 💯
