You could instantly tell he takes pride in what he does and genuinely wants every customer to have a great time. His knowledge of the menu was top-notch, and he offered recommendations with confidence and a personal touch, which really helped, especially since I was torn between a few options. At his suggestion, I decided to try the spring rolls with yogurt sauce, and I have to say — I was blown away. I didn’t expect a starter at a fast-casual place like GDK to be this good. The spring rolls were perfectly crisp on the outside, golden brown without being greasy, and the filling was flavorful, well-seasoned, and just the right balance of texture and taste. But what truly elevated the dish was the yogurt sauce — smooth, tangy, with a hint of herbs and spice that complemented the rolls beautifully. It was refreshing yet indulgent, and I honestly could’ve eaten a whole tray of them! Throughout my visit, Dale checked in to make sure everything was to my satisfaction, and he was managing the space with such ease — from keeping the area clean to ensuring orders were coming out promptly. Even while juggling other customers, he remained attentive, upbeat, and professional. He made every guest feel seen and valued, and that’s not something you get every day in food service. Disgrace, this is my third and last time in here. Everytime I get cold kebab no sauce even tho I payed extra, fries are cold, burgers too. You wait so long for food when nobody is here and don’t even see smoke or anything coming out the kitchen like it would all be microwaved. Everything like salt, forks etc is always hidden and need to ask to even get a fork with my food.

I got a German Donna kebab to takeaway. Don’t get me wrong the food was nice but when u got home I realised that I was missing chips. I had payed for two meals. Even tho the food was good i am still a bit disappointed that the chips we're missing and would like to hear back from GDK as I am not happy and don’t think I will be returning back

I recently visited German Doner Kebab on Renfield Street and was pleasantly surprised. It's definitely a step up from your standard late-night kebab joint. The restaurant itself is clean and has a modern, fast-food feel, which is a nice change. I ordered the OG Kebab and was impressed with the quality of the ingredients. The lean beef and chicken was flavourful and not greasy at all, which is a big plus. The waffle bread was unique and held everything together well. What really stood out were the signature sauces – the garlic and spicy ones were particularly tasty and added a good kick. The salad inside was fresh and crisp too. You can tell the difference in the quality. It feels like a more substantial and well-made meal. I also tried the chilli cheese bites, hash brown bites [ flaming flavour] and berlin bites as a side, and they were pretty good – cheesy and with a decent amount of spice. The service was quick and efficient. The staff were friendly enough, although it was fairly busy when I visited. I'd definitely recommend German Doner Kebab on Renfield Street if you're looking for a more premium kebab experience. It's a great spot for a quick lunch or a satisfying dinner. I'll definitely be back to try some of their other offerings, maybe the Doner Wrap or one of their Doner Boss Boxes. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
