I did orderd 4 pieces of chicken and paid plus the delivery when I ask 4 legs they send 4 breast ! I dind't order any because I DO NOT EAT BREAT! When I called them to ask any change or pieces or refund they was very very rude and said nothing we can't do it and they They hung up the phone rudely and left me talking to myself!!!!! i wasted my 14£ and not food and been tand to make matters worse I was treated like trash!!HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!🥲😫😢😢

had food loads of times young lady perfect the man cooking chips poor don't wank cook anything for customers or change oil as food gone down hill fish soggy chips packet bought so sad too see this chippy slowly disappear but 100k car outside so money we'll spent

Ordered 2 x Fish and Chips to be delivered on the Just Eat app just before 5pm on 27thOctober, the order was accepted and the app showed the food was being prepared due to be delivered around 5.25pm then nothing else happened other than the delivery time changed to 5.45pm. Time passed the meal was still showing being prepared until around 5.50pm when with no explanation the order was suddenly cancelled. If they were unable to honour the order in the first place why did they accept it and keep us hanging on for nearly a full hour during which time we could have ordered from another shop. We have had no apology from the fish and chip shop, no explanation why their service was so bad so we will never be using this fish snd chip shop in the future. MY ADVICE IS TO SHOP ELSEWHERE!

Great quality fish and chips at a great price. Clean modern outlet great service. Good choice of fish and many other fast food choices. Uber or just eats a+++++

I have been going here for years, 15, and always had good service and the food has always been without fault. HOWEVER, I ordered food in April 2023 and the fish was very, very dry and the chips looked like they had been left overnight. When I called to complain, the young lady was really helpful, but the 'boy' in the back ground was really rude and said, and I quote 'tell her she's lucky she got that food'. Okay, I work hard for my money and I am now lucky that I can take my business elsewhere. Elena's Kebabs! Miss you George, sorry your legacy is being ruined.

I ordered the southern fried chicken and for £5.50 I expected more than 1 piece of chicken it was also quiet dry and I had a 45-minute wait people who ordered after us got served before us and my favourite was the chips which were delicious.

Have been a customer of George's for many years and never been disappointed. Fish always great and good portions of chips.

Well, I was very impressed chips was cooked just right, and fish was fresh it arrived hot delivery was good too we enjoyed the food and will order again.

Dry chips. Soggy fish. Dry pasture been sitting there too long. Waste of money. Was really looking forward to it but gravely disappointed.

A typical local fish and chip establishment but the difference is the happy atmosphere, the fantastic fresh fish and the smiling service. That's why it is so busy. We had heard about it and drove past many competitors and we weren't dissappointed. Josaphine, the waitress darted about, answering the phone, helping behind the counter and chatting to regulars. The young kids all knew her. Delivery boys waited for their orders so it is obviously well known locally. The staff made the atmosphere and the decor was plain but we came for the fish and chips not the wallpaper. The batter was crispy and the fish white and delicious. Mushy peas and a good cuppa completed the meal. We will certainly return
