First time tried here. Not the best fish. Still looking for a half decent chippy in North London. Still on the look out.

Our local chippy. So happy they’re round the corner.

Gone downhill. 2 chip shops in the local area. This one is more expensive but the food used to be better. Not anymore. This is the 2nd time in a row that I've been overcharged for a sausage in batter that's been sat there way too long. The batter is hard and chewy.

Delicious fish ‘n chips, crispy batter, large portions, lovely staff, smiley & friendly. I ordered on app but stilll had to queue so I might as well have just turned up anyway? But excellent food will use again! 👍

I don't really like giving 1 stars because Waiting for over 10 mins starving hungry without an order with 3 members of staff didn't acknowledge me is really poor. It was like you all kept looking busy whilst I couldn't get my order, very disappointed as I had to catch the train to go somewhere else. Edit review 27th Jan 2025. Hi there just to simplify your statement I don't even love given 1 star, clearly if you look at my profile not all of them are 1 stars. Also to answer your question this wasn't to do with me talking pictures that day as this isn't my issue.... This is about you and your staff on 17th January times Between 17:35m to 17:50pm go check the CCTV if you don't believe me, I obviously didn't have time to complain because I had a train to catch with the way London trains are you Just never know. Also to note of what I'm trying to achieve here is no one shouldn't be waiting more than 10 mins for to get served because all staff dodging me pretending to be busy because of laziness and very bad customer service. And if you want to argue with me then why open if you wanna cause drama. In other words don't make a hungry guy pi$$ed off for a long time.

My order didnt turn up and it said it was delivered at 8.23pm I don't know how this could have happened as they wouldnt know the code.

We go here every Friday without fail and wouldn’t go anywhere else. The quality of their food always takes us back. The shop is very clean and always very busy, the staff always are very attentive and friendly and always make sure everyone is served promptly. I couldn’t recommend this place enough and my family would not go elsewhere. Thank you so much for your delicious food!

Best fish and chips in the area. Highly recommend, their spicy wings are delicious and needs to be tried. The couple who own it are very friendly and welcoming.

I discovered this amazing place a few days ago . The food was fresh and you can tell the staff take pride in there work as it reflected on the quality of food i was served. The fish was nice and flakey and the batter was so light but crispy . The chips where lovely and fresh and the underated addition where the hot wings. Wil certinly be visiting again

Had skate chips and chicken my skate was lovely hot & cooked just right and chips were hot too but unfortunately my husbands chicken was dry as it wasn’t very hot normally it’s put into the pan to reheat and crisp skin etc but don’t think this piece was heated enough

How did the chips taste? Nice but not really crispy on the edges and kinda greesy. Also, I just feel that their "large" is such a small portion compared to other placed as well as costing so much more. £5.50 for a "large" is extortionate.

Never arrived! Called the fish bar and it had been collected but has never arrived. Just Rubbish from Just Eat.

Always great quality fish. Must just buy regular chips as large is too much for two! Friendly service.

I ordered a large order in advance for a family gathering. My order was prepped and ready and deliciously hot and fresh. The service was lovely too. All done with a smile. I highly recommend.

I had a chicken burger meal with a side of cod and all I can say is that it was the best burger and fish I had ate, it tasted so good and so fresh that I will defo keep on coming back!!!

Honestly, the fish and chips tasted off this time round, like they had been fried in bad oil. the chips were limp. The haddock didn't seem to be haddock, more like Cod. Usually excellent fish and chips but, not for me today 😔

Delicious cod and chips freshly cooked to order. Friendly cheerful staff late on a Wednesday evening. Nicely decorated and it's obvious they care about the place. I will definitely go back again next opportunity.

Usually really good from here, but tonight the fish was wet and spongy (actually horrible) and there was salt and vinegar on the kids meal and not the portion of chips. Overall disappointing.

Worst cod I’ve had in years, ordered a large cod that was wafer thin , it was all batter , never again will I order from here

Ordered for 18.45. arrived at 19.27 . tried to call restaurant no answer. ordered from another place and then my order at this place changed to being delivered. First time ever had an issue with late delivery in the 4 years we've been ordering from here. put it down to it being good Friday. food was great as always and was hot and crisp- could fault that at all.

Very unhappy with the cod and chips ordered from George's.It was stone cold and the batter on the fish was chewy and tasted as if it had been sitting around for ages and reheated

Food was delivered on time and piping hot. The fish was large and cooked perfectly and was very tasty. This restaurant is consistently good service and food, best fish shop around here.

Undercooked chips, dripping in oil, bland half cup of curry sauce, very small cod roe, but the battered sausages were fine. This is the 4th time I've tried them, due to the excellent feedback, never again.

Ordered 5 items and only 2 were delivered plus an item I did not order. Phoned the restaurant and they placed blame on the delivery driver for delivering the wrong order. Whilst they apologised for the mistake, they did not offer anything to rectify/correct it. It was just an “Oh well, take it up with Just Eat” kind of attitude. Definitely will not be ordering from here again.

We did not receive the can of drink as per meal deal. This is unusual as regularly order from George's as food quality is so good.

The fish was lovely batter crispy and the fish was delicious. Also it was nice and hot. Loved the chips and plenty of them. Best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time, i would highly recommend George’s fish and chip shop!

Tasty chips and the Cod was perfect

I Have had good food from this fish and chip shop in the past, unfortunately today we ordered fish and chips via Just Eat the order was accepted by Georges and according to the Just Eat app it was being prepared then nothing happened for 50 minutes at which time they cancelled the order, the order was 2 fish and chips which I would have expected a fish and chip shop to have easily available. Hence the marking, lowest score for food because we never received any, lowest score for service as we received no service and lowest mark for atmosphere because we didn't experience any!

Always a family favourite, and now they deliver. The food was hot and delicious, their cod is the most perfectly poached in batter.

First time that I order from this restaurant, the food came hot and tasty. I will recommend this place to anyone.

Recently moved to the area and have to say, coming from the fish and chips town of Whitby… This was one of the best fish and chips I’ve had. Gorgeous interior and generous portions! Staff were lovely, all family run. Will be making this my Friday night regular!

I met the rider outside my flat but he rode off without giving me my order !!!!. He eventually came back but this meant the food was not as hot as it could have been.

Ive been buying from George’s for a while now and honestly can say know other chippy beats this place. The food is always freshly prepared and always pipping hot. The staff in this chippy are so friendly and polite I honestly love them all. Thank you for always giving me the best service and food! Will recommend this place over any fish and chip shop in enfield :)
