Shame they advertise they are open at 10 am on a Sunday. They are not. And this was on Remembrance Sunday

Cream tea was fabulous. Home made fluffy scones, ample clotted cream, portion of jam and a huge mug of tea. Great value for money at £6 a head.

Visited this lovely little garden centre today with my hubbie, sister and brother ( plus 1 very old doggie). Had a lovely lunch, portions were large and lovely, we all struggled to finish our meals. We had already seen the homemade scones and cakes on our way in, so decided to ask for them as a takeaway. The scones were massive and so nice, struggled to eat it 3 hours later. Lemon drizzle cake and Victoria sandwich also got great reviews from the others. The staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit to this dog friendly cafe and also to potter around the garden centre, so glad we stopped here.

2 of the main courses were unavailable. The vegetables for the lamb course were unavailable. Alternative vegetables were given which were undercooked and cold. Potato was tasteless and cold . Did mention it to waiter whose response was sorry. £24 for a piece of lamb is unacceptable as I didn't eat the vegetables or potatoes.

Staying overnight in Llandudno a date at Dylan`s and Menai mussels from the outset had always been top of the agenda. Having been unsuccessful in the past in securing a table at their Criccieth restaurant I took the opportunity to make an advance reservation. Arriving with my wife for an early dinner we were warmly welcomed and shown to our reserved window table with its lovely views out to sea. Relaxing in the comfortable seating on the ground floor we ordered aperitifs of a refreshing South African Longbeach chenin blanc and the excellent local Wrexham lager. To start the proceedings we chose seafood chowder (salmon, haddock, king prawns and clams), and plump Anglesey seared scallops. The main course selection being Dylan`s roast chicken Caesar salad and "The House Speciality" fresh Menai mussels, the principal ingredient of the delicious moules mariniere. These sweet and smaller version than the rope grown variety were absolutely first class with no hint of grit. As an accompaniment they were served with sourdough "Pan de Campagne" with a portion of skinny fries as a extra. The food was well prepared, nicely seasoned, visually appetizing, and most important fulfilled our taste expectations. An efficient and quick service from the friendly staff made the occasion even more memorable To conclude, a thoroughly enjoyable meal to complete our stay in Llandudno.
