We ate here last night at the last minute- very friendly, attentive staff, great service and reasonably priced food. And for God's sake, if you do eat here, make sure that at least one of you has the bread starter- never had anything like it before ! It was fantastic.

Can’t rate the food personally as they forgot to send my order to the kitchen and I sat for an hour waiting whilst tables around me came and went and got their food. I was a table of 1 so probably not a priority however also an easy order! The table next to me had to send their burgers back so perhaps I was lucky! After an hour of no attention whatsoever (my glass had been empty for 20 minutes - that’s an easy sell!) I’d had enough. There was only 2 staff on - a lady who was very helpful but seemed to be stuck downstairs and a guy who decided he should have a 20 minute chat to a customer rather than actually serving the rest of the people in the restaurant - customer relations are important but not when you are alienating everyone else! Overall, very disappointing especially as I was looking forward to the chowder!

Had two great meals here during a week away with my family. First time sat downstairs with the dog, was quieter but a good environment for those with little companions. The second time we sat upstairs, fab atmosphere, attentive, friendly staff. Food service was a little slow but food was delicious and fresh so no complaints. Highly recommend the seafood linguine and the bread and butter pudding made with barabrith. I was worried it would be too heavy and didn’t order it, lucky for me my husband did and it wasn’t heavy at all, it was gorgeous! (Luck for me my husband is happy to share)

Voted with my feet Nice looking place but…. We wanted coffee & cake but they had no cakes despite the other part of their shop having some, strangely we were told to get them from there! We didn’t bother, we had driven for over 4 hours and were tired, so we just ordered coffee. At this point I wished we had left and gone somewhere else. I ordered a flat white and a latte, it was terrible they both looked & tasted the same, all milk and not a hint of coffee. I saw little point in complaining as it seems that’s how she makes coffee judging by the ones I saw afterwards. Another couple came in and tried to order cakes as well and were told the same thing. We had planned to dine there but decided against it. Voted with my feet £7.25 for 2 dreadful coffees

Nice late lunch here. The tomato soup and chowder starter were both nice, and came with a tasty slice of bread. I had the chicken and chips basket, which was just ok. The brisket burger was nicer but missed something to make it special. The service was nice but slow. Overall it is nice and I would come back and try something different. They are dog friendly in certain areas.

Hands down the best dog friendly place I have ever eaten at. Your so limited to places to eat when you have your fur babies 🐾 with you. Pubs and cafes tend to be the main options. It's refreshing to be able to eat at such an establishment with a dog. The food at Dylan's is amazing. The staff are attentive and friendly. I'd definitely visit again. Only disappointment is the shop next door was shut when we came otherwise would have loved to pick up some bits from there.

Now, as someone who enjoys a bit of culinary adventure, we’ve been meaning to pop in for ages. You see, we’ve already sampled their deli in Menai Bridge—top-notch stuff, that—and so when we found ourselves in Conwy for a spot of lunch, we thought, why not? Service? First-rate. Attentive but not intrusive, which is precisely how it should be. We ordered two pizzas—now, as a family of pizza obsessives (my grain-free wife included), the bar was set high. Very high. Woodland pizza and a Margherita (or “margarett” if you’re feeling nonchalant). Both arrived, and I must say, even Naples would nod in approval. Genuinely some of the best pizza I’ve had this side of Italy. Crisp base, perfect balance of toppings—nothing too clever, just honest-to-goodness pizza. Now, I must address a small confession: the cappuccino. Yes, I know, after 11:00! A shocking faux pas by Italian standards, but bear with me. This cappuccino was a triumph. In a world where Costa and their kin seem intent on mutilating the poor thing, Dylan’s has crafted a cup that could restore your faith in the drink. Forgive me, Italy, but this was worth it. In short, if you find yourself anywhere near Conwy, a detour to Dylan’s is not just recommended—it’s necessary. Especially if you fancy some properly done pizza.

First, the good stuff. Dyl’s brisket Burger was very nice but a small portion for £21.95. Cuban Calzone was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The bad stuff. Pints of lager/cider priced just under and just over £7!! The massive mark up is talking the p***. Also, I didn’t know that this place is card only until I’d ordered my meal (the staff didn’t mention this) I made the decision to stay but I hate when the choice to pay cash is removed from us. Due to this, I will only ever rate somewhere 1 star. If they accepted cash, this would be a 4/5 star review.

Came here as a group visiting and ordered our food it took them 1 and half hours for the food to come out they never came and check up on us before or after we got the food, did not refill our waters, the service was not good. Then the food came and it was honestly extremely underwhelming not as good as expect after that 1 and half hour wait. This place is a millennial nightmare, posh, sad decorations that seem random and not placed correctly, trying desperately to appeal to the “water theme” of this area. The food was greasy as ever, whether you ordered tacos or pizza, the grease dripping off was HORRIFIC. not many places to eat here.. but save yourself the trouble.

Apart from that everything else was brilliant. The restaurant is lovely with plenty of seating up stairs which gives a nice view of St Mary’s church. Visited the restaurant on a recommendation whilst visiting the area. The styling and ambience of the restaurant is very nice and clearly considerable time and money has been spent on the style of the restaurant and shop. We ordered the whitebait, chowder and calamari for starters. The whitebait was nice but the calamari had much too much sauce over the top and we actually paid for further serving without the sauce. The chowder was okay but too runny for a chowder. For mains we had the chicken basket, a pizza, the fish tacos and the linguini. The chicken basket and pizza were fine, pretty simple fare. The fish tacos were very lettuce heavy, fish light and, again, had too much sauce. These were disappointing. The linguini was the best dish of the meal. Overall the meal was disappointing as probably ranked the least memorable meal we’ve had whilst in Wales and by far the most expensive. The service was very friendly and, again, the styling of the restaurant is great. The food just didn’t managed to meet the same standard.

I cannot overstate the awesomeness of this place!! Arrived in a super-bad mood and to my horror we started being “difficult” customers, whining about this & that, requesting multiple substitutions, being unintentionally prickly with the staff, UGH, and yet they were all COMPLETELY unruffled, complied with all our stupid requests WHILE SMILING, and generally soothed us and made us feel welcome. I wouldn’t have been half so charitable!!!! Plus, the veggie burger was legit delicious — it’s insanely difficult to do a decent veggie burger — and I loved how many of the ingredients were locally sourced — especially the sea salt, which totally elevated the fries!

We travel to Conwy on a regular basis (at least once or twice a year) and one of our favourite places to visit is Vinomondo which is virtually next door to Dylan’s. We were really looking forward to having a drink on the beautifully advertised first floor terrace that overlooks the 13th century St Mary’s Church and Conwy Castle. However we were turned away twice! We were told ‘staff weren’t working outside’. We explained that we were happy to buy our drinks at the bar and take them up to the terrace, however the waitress responded by saying ‘no I can’t do that can I because everyone would get the same idea and I can’t say yes to everybody can I’. We were left somewhat shocked and disappointed by the poor customer service that we experienced and needless to say we spent another lovely evening in Vinomondo!! With such strong competition in such a close vicinity you would expect Dylan’s to be more hospitable with their potential new customers. We gave two stars as we felt it was unfair to give one star as we never managed to see inside!!

We decided to come here for lunch as a party of 7 (4 adults, 1 infant, and 2 kids under 5). The atmosphere was pleasant and there was lots of seating including outdoors with a view of the castle. We were seated promptly by the general manager who was initially welcoming. Our server took our order fairly shortly after and we ordered appetizers, a Limon carafe for the adults and a burger for the 2 kids under 5. We enjoyed our beverages and talked while we waited for our appetizers. It took about 30 minutes for the appetizers to arrive which, while the restaurant was busy, seemed excessive. Our choices, seabass tacos and the crab nachos were tasty though the nacho portion was small. We finished, then waited another 30-45 minutes for our mains which was very excessive especially with young children who can be antsy. All four adults were unhappy with the delay in the food service and communicated this with the floor manager and the bartender who alerted the general manager. The general manager was very defensive, argumentative and tried to blame our dissatisfaction on our children which was ridiculous. She claimed that a party of our size (really just 4 adult mains and 1 kids meal) should expect to be seated for 2.5 hours which was quite unrealistic for the lunch hour. She also claimed that in England this is typical (my sister and husband live here. It's not). She then claimed no one else was upset with the length of time for food delivery (there were other tables that experienced similar lengthy waits for mains and complained within earshot of our party). This is the worst example of a general manager I have experienced and was dismayed with her lack of empathy or understanding. The food was good. The service deplorable. On top of it all she yelled at us as we left the restaurant telling us "never to come back."

Called in on a busy Tuesday evening and managed to get a table for two upstairs. Loved the locally made Welsh weave on the seating. Great, colourful impact but also very special as I believe it's locally made. Quickly chose drinks and two pizzas 🍕 but had to wait for what seemed forever for the pizzas and also to pay for the bill. The waitress who brought the drinks was super friendly, efficient and very observant. Sadly, the pizzas were brought to us by a possibly new member of staff who just gave us the pizzas and quickly shot off!!!😯 (We were both wanting another drink and some fresh pepper for the pizza.) The efficient waitress quickly swooped in with the pizza slice for us (I wish the pizzas had already been sliced up as it was difficult to slice on a normal plate with upturned edges) and sorted us out. Anyway, the pizza was DELICIOUS!!! Not too hot, (even though it had fresh chilli 🌶️ slices, spicy beef mince, chorizo and salami) and very tasty, with superbly doughy base. I was a bit horrified to see the main waiter, prior to bringing our jug of water over, stick his fingers inside to fish out lemon slices 😳😳😳(suddenly realising I was potentially looking over so then switched, more hygienically, to a pair of tongues!!!). Perhaps avoid doing that in the restaurant on future🫣 My husband had been dying to bring me here since Dylan's opened in Conwy (we both absolutely love the Menai Bridge branch) but sadly I found the service so unbearably slow, even though it was only the main area by the patio doors which was full, the other areas just had a few diners. The food, however, I have to say, was faultless😊 and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Food was beautiful and tasty. My only criticism with the food was the goats cheese bruschetta - absolutely delicious, however, the amount of goats cheese on it is teenie and a bit ridiculous considering it is a main ingredient . Lovely atmosphere. Service - our whole sitting took over 2 hours. We felt like we were totally forgotten about. In fact our waitress came to us at the end and said “ I have forgotten about you, are you ok?” (This was after she gave us the desert menu and left us for a long period of time). The time we came to the restaurant - people were leaving so it wasn’t particularly busy. We felt like the staff were prioritising closing down rather than focusing on taking our orders and serving. Then it got to a point where we felt like the staff wanted us out all of a sudden. We’re both very quick eaters and never like to linger in restaurants so this felt really disappointing. If the service was on point we should’ve been out the very latest 10pm - instead it was 11. We had no apology for this.

Staff were all lovely. Food however was underwhelming and overpriced. I ordered the confit leek with goats cheese bruschetta as a starter. It tasted nice but there was such a small amount of goats cheese I thought I’d made a mistake and had checked the menu again. I ordered the beef burger and when I ordered, I was asked verbatim “would you like extra cheese with this”. The use of the word “extra” implied that cheese already came with the burger. Once it arrived I noticed there was no cheese. I appreciate that I should have fully read the menu and accept some responsibility for the lack of cheese. However, I think the waitress could’ve made it clearer. I was willing to overlook this as I was partially to blame, however no cheese in the world could’ve resurrected this quite frankly, sub- par burger. It was dry, lacked sauce and flavour. The chips were good though.

Evening meal for 4, plus wine, 2 courses. £272. Food good, menu selection varied and good local produce. Not a 5 as the bread had to go back as burnt, 2nd time was better but still burnt. Great location, overall enjoyable

First visit there for lunch today with a friend over from Australia. Very disappointed. We had to wait 90 mins for our food. I've never had to wait that much time before in any restaurant. Really disappointed 😞

I went into Dylans Conway with my partner today without booking however tables were available. Although we were there in person the waitress asked me to provide my name and phone number. This puzzled me as I didn't see any good reason why this would be necessary. Neither was I provided with a good reason why this personal detail was needed. By saying I didn't see any good reason to provide this information and that I wasn't willing to provide it, I was refused being able to stay eat. Unessary control and poor customer service imo.

Food was excellent and are waitress was very helpful and pleasant, but the whole experience was ruined by the manager telling us he wouldn't take our money (cash) at no point during the evening were we told it was card only ,I had the correct money I didn't need change ,he still refused to take my money and it got very uncomfortable as I really didn't want to use my card as I was very close to my limit ,I was in conwy as an entertainer / reenacter for the pirate festival this has put me off dinning out in conwy in the future ,

Went into the shop in the afternoon and was amazed at what was to offer, so much so we went back to their restaurant in the evening and were once again blown away. The food was amazing as was the service from the restaurant and shop staff. Will definitely visit again and recommend to everyone!

Unfortunately I can't rate the food as we didn't actually make it through the door to eat here. Came into a half empty restaurant at 1.40pm with staff stood talking at the bar area to then be told there were no tables until 2pm with no further explanation. I sent in an email to pass on how disappointing this was and was sent an incredibly flippant and dismissive response saying their policy is to take bookings/covers in blocks of 12 people every 15 minutes so as to ensure a smooth service. Also going on to explain that their were apparently reserved signs on all the empty tables we saw when we came in that I'd missed and that if I'd have asked them why when they told us we couldn't have a table they'd have happily explained their policy to us. She also then went on to tell me they served 140 people for lunch on Saturday? Highly irrelevant as we went in on the Friday but she clearly felt this was an important piece of information. We ended up going to Johnny Dough's at The Bridge and would highly recommend. The food was incredible and the staff were polite, accommodating and very friendly unlike the staff we encountered at Dylans in person and via email.

Stopped here for lunch, no tables immediately but were able to book and return after a short wait. The service was great and the food was delicious. Busy but not overcrowded or loud.

We had mussels and lamb tacos. It was good but somehow we expected more. The portions weren't exactly huge either.

Lots of tables upstairs, we sat near the glass doors with an amazing view of Conwy castle. In good weather, the outside seating would be nice. My starter scallops were delicious, and I like the smaller portion of seafood linguine. My husband's beef dish was mediocre and my son wasn't too keen on his pizza. Kids dessert was very good value and son described his brownie with ice-cream as yummy, my burnt cheesecake with gelato was spot on. Restaurant was very busy. The girl who served our mains wasn't very friendly but the other girl was super helpful, didn't get her name but we gave tips because she's the one who brought us our bill.

We tried to book a table but they were unable to accomodate 6 of us despite a totally empty restaurant. Went to the takeaway and bought Welsh cakes 🤢🤮 my poor Welsh granny must be turning in her grave. Tried to buy something for my partner who is coeliac but was told there was nothing. All in all a total disappointment.

We came to the restaurant for an early dinner. The view and the interior were lovely. Menu was limited - sadly we couldn’t find any chicken dishes (not in a sandwich). I ordered beef brisket - it was served as a sandwich in between two ciabatta slices. It was soft, but the taste was sweet due to the chutney, and very disgusting due to the blue cheese. It wasn’t specified clearly, so I was hoping this cheese would be served separately and I just wouldn’t eat it, but nope, it was inside. The taste was very very bad. And the price was £14. Chips were served without any sauce, and no sauce was offered by the staff. So, it was very dry. Coffee was very bad and sour, had to ask for some milk to mix it together. Pavlova dessert for £8.50 was my biggest disappointment. It should be called micro-Pavlova. It’s the tiniest Pavlova I’ve ever seen, and so overpriced! Overall, can’t recommend - neither for the drinks, nor especially for food. Service charge 10% was already included into the price.

The food from Harbour View is good, a favourite chippy of ours in the area. However on our most recent visit the customer service was that poor we were going to walk out. Young adults behind the counter who didn’t seem to care about providing a good service, no welcome or hello upon entering, our order was taken but not even a thank you for an almost £50 order. It was sad to see just eat drivers being completely ignored by staff, a driver was trying to ask questions in order to pick up the order he was delivering and no staff acknowledged him so he picked the order he assumed was his and left. I’d advise improving customer service to encourage customers to return here. Fully understand the pressures of this environment however a customers experience should always be the priority.
