Starter menu has a loaf of bread and butter on it. I was very excited. The last one was sold to the previous customer. It's 3 hours later and I'm still coming to terms with it. The photo is off the loaf I didn't get. Otherwise highly recommend.

A lovely evening of great food and service. We have not been in a while and can say the food tonight was fabulous and the staff were very attentive and professional, The calamari starter is outstanding!! We had Calamari, Mackerel pate and white bait to start, with Rustic, Walk in wood and Coch Craig ( red dragon) pizza as well as "Dirty Pig" and all so hot, fresh and super tasty! Stuffed, happy and sleepy now, which is a perfect end to a lovely evening.

Excelent experience overall. I had the parmesan and herb crusted hake which was slightly dry and the crusting was not amazing, wouldn't have again (3/5), and tested the seafood (fish) tacos, which were really good (4/5) for quality and taste. It is slightly on the more expensive side for the town.

We sat on the terrace and ate alfresco as it was a lovely sunny and warm early evening. The oysters were sooo fresh! Local lamb tacos were tasty and scallops great all as starters. Beuatfresh fish dishes for mains and an excellent of both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks available. We were blessed with a top notch service called Naomi. Nothing was any trouble for her and her manner was friendly and quietly efficient which was perfect. Thanks so much to all at Dylan's for making this such a special trip to Conwy!

Visited the restaurant on a recommendation whilst visiting the area. The styling and ambience of the restaurant is very nice and clearly considerable time and money has been spent on the style of the restaurant and shop. We ordered the whitebait, chowder and calamari for starters. The whitebait was nice but the calamari had much too much sauce over the top and we actually paid for further serving without the sauce. The chowder was okay but too runny for a chowder. For mains we had the chicken basket, a pizza, the fish tacos and the linguini. The chicken basket and pizza were fine, pretty simple fare. The fish tacos were very lettuce heavy, fish light and, again, had too much sauce. These were disappointing. The linguini was the best dish of the meal. Overall the meal was disappointing as probably ranked the least memorable meal we’ve had whilst in Wales and by far the most expensive. The service was very friendly and, again, the styling of the restaurant is great. The food just didn’t managed to meet the same standard.

I visited the restaurant last January with my family and my groom's family, who is Welsh. I was impressed by the excellent food, with raw materials from the surrounding area, such as mussels, fish, meat, vegetables, cheeses. It was an enjoyable meal for all. There was no other restaurant in the country that I liked so much. Also the environment inside the store is wonderful.

I dined here with my friends for a 50th birthday celebration, and we couldn’t have been more thrilled with the whole experience. The food was delicious, so fresh and full of quality. The ambiance captured the spirit of North Wales. And the service was exceptional. Joe was our waiter, and was unmatched in terms of his professionalism and warmth. I ordered a dish that didn’t taste like I expected. When I told him it wasn’t what I was hoping for, he graciously offered to replace it with any other dish I’d like to try. He handled the situation masterfully, and made me want to visit again. I recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a delightful and delicious meal! Unmatched!

I cannot overstate the awesomeness of this place!! Arrived in a super-bad mood and to my horror we started being “difficult” customers, whining about this & that, requesting multiple substitutions, being unintentionally prickly with the staff, UGH, and yet they were all COMPLETELY unruffled, complied with all our stupid requests WHILE SMILING, and generally soothed us and made us feel welcome. I wouldn’t have been half so charitable!!!! Plus, the veggie burger was legit delicious — it’s insanely difficult to do a decent veggie burger — and I loved how many of the ingredients were locally sourced — especially the sea salt, which totally elevated the fries!

We travel to Conwy on a regular basis (at least once or twice a year) and one of our favourite places to visit is Vinomondo which is virtually next door to Dylan’s. We were really looking forward to having a drink on the beautifully advertised first floor terrace that overlooks the 13th century St Mary’s Church and Conwy Castle. However we were turned away twice! We were told ‘staff weren’t working outside’. We explained that we were happy to buy our drinks at the bar and take them up to the terrace, however the waitress responded by saying ‘no I can’t do that can I because everyone would get the same idea and I can’t say yes to everybody can I’. We were left somewhat shocked and disappointed by the poor customer service that we experienced and needless to say we spent another lovely evening in Vinomondo!! With such strong competition in such a close vicinity you would expect Dylan’s to be more hospitable with their potential new customers. We gave two stars as we felt it was unfair to give one star as we never managed to see inside!!

Efficient, friendly service. Food was pretty good, with a big choice (normally send alarm bells, but not in this case)… mains were £15 for a special and £25 for a Hake dish. Kids were happy too. Clean plates all around! Desserts were ok but way too expensive at around £10. Pints £7 ish… £125 for family of 4 (mains and 2 desserts, with drinks).

We decided to come here for lunch as a party of 7 (4 adults, 1 infant, and 2 kids under 5). The atmosphere was pleasant and there was lots of seating including outdoors with a view of the castle. We were seated promptly by the general manager who was initially welcoming. Our server took our order fairly shortly after and we ordered appetizers, a Limon carafe for the adults and a burger for the 2 kids under 5. We enjoyed our beverages and talked while we waited for our appetizers. It took about 30 minutes for the appetizers to arrive which, while the restaurant was busy, seemed excessive. Our choices, seabass tacos and the crab nachos were tasty though the nacho portion was small. We finished, then waited another 30-45 minutes for our mains which was very excessive especially with young children who can be antsy. All four adults were unhappy with the delay in the food service and communicated this with the floor manager and the bartender who alerted the general manager. The general manager was very defensive, argumentative and tried to blame our dissatisfaction on our children which was ridiculous. She claimed that a party of our size (really just 4 adult mains and 1 kids meal) should expect to be seated for 2.5 hours which was quite unrealistic for the lunch hour. She also claimed that in England this is typical (my sister and husband live here. It's not). She then claimed no one else was upset with the length of time for food delivery (there were other tables that experienced similar lengthy waits for mains and complained within earshot of our party). This is the worst example of a general manager I have experienced and was dismayed with her lack of empathy or understanding. The food was good. The service deplorable. On top of it all she yelled at us as we left the restaurant telling us "never to come back."

Called in on a busy Tuesday evening and managed to get a table for two upstairs. Loved the locally made Welsh weave on the seating. Great, colourful impact but also very special as I believe it's locally made. Quickly chose drinks and two pizzas 🍕 but had to wait for what seemed forever for the pizzas and also to pay for the bill. The waitress who brought the drinks was super friendly, efficient and very observant. Sadly, the pizzas were brought to us by a possibly new member of staff who just gave us the pizzas and quickly shot off!!!😯 (We were both wanting another drink and some fresh pepper for the pizza.) The efficient waitress quickly swooped in with the pizza slice for us (I wish the pizzas had already been sliced up as it was difficult to slice on a normal plate with upturned edges) and sorted us out. Anyway, the pizza was DELICIOUS!!! Not too hot, (even though it had fresh chilli 🌶️ slices, spicy beef mince, chorizo and salami) and very tasty, with superbly doughy base. I was a bit horrified to see the main waiter, prior to bringing our jug of water over, stick his fingers inside to fish out lemon slices 😳😳😳(suddenly realising I was potentially looking over so then switched, more hygienically, to a pair of tongues!!!). Perhaps avoid doing that in the restaurant on future🫣 My husband had been dying to bring me here since Dylan's opened in Conwy (we both absolutely love the Menai Bridge branch) but sadly I found the service so unbearably slow, even though it was only the main area by the patio doors which was full, the other areas just had a few diners. The food, however, I have to say, was faultless😊 and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Food was beautiful and tasty. My only criticism with the food was the goats cheese bruschetta - absolutely delicious, however, the amount of goats cheese on it is teenie and a bit ridiculous considering it is a main ingredient . Lovely atmosphere. Service - our whole sitting took over 2 hours. We felt like we were totally forgotten about. In fact our waitress came to us at the end and said “ I have forgotten about you, are you ok?” (This was after she gave us the desert menu and left us for a long period of time). The time we came to the restaurant - people were leaving so it wasn’t particularly busy. We felt like the staff were prioritising closing down rather than focusing on taking our orders and serving. Then it got to a point where we felt like the staff wanted us out all of a sudden. We’re both very quick eaters and never like to linger in restaurants so this felt really disappointing. If the service was on point we should’ve been out the very latest 10pm - instead it was 11. We had no apology for this.

Staff were all lovely. Food however was underwhelming and overpriced. I ordered the confit leek with goats cheese bruschetta as a starter. It tasted nice but there was such a small amount of goats cheese I thought I’d made a mistake and had checked the menu again. I ordered the beef burger and when I ordered, I was asked verbatim “would you like extra cheese with this”. The use of the word “extra” implied that cheese already came with the burger. Once it arrived I noticed there was no cheese. I appreciate that I should have fully read the menu and accept some responsibility for the lack of cheese. However, I think the waitress could’ve made it clearer. I was willing to overlook this as I was partially to blame, however no cheese in the world could’ve resurrected this quite frankly, sub- par burger. It was dry, lacked sauce and flavour. The chips were good though.

Unfortunately I can't rate the food as we didn't actually make it through the door to eat here. Came into a half empty restaurant at 1.40pm with staff stood talking at the bar area to then be told there were no tables until 2pm with no further explanation. I sent in an email to pass on how disappointing this was and was sent an incredibly flippant and dismissive response saying their policy is to take bookings/covers in blocks of 12 people every 15 minutes so as to ensure a smooth service. Also going on to explain that their were apparently reserved signs on all the empty tables we saw when we came in that I'd missed and that if I'd have asked them why when they told us we couldn't have a table they'd have happily explained their policy to us. She also then went on to tell me they served 140 people for lunch on Saturday? Highly irrelevant as we went in on the Friday but she clearly felt this was an important piece of information. We ended up going to Johnny Dough's at The Bridge and would highly recommend. The food was incredible and the staff were polite, accommodating and very friendly unlike the staff we encountered at Dylans in person and via email.

The worst service we've experienced in years. Had to get out of seats to ask for our meal after waiting a half hour. And finally, my wife's starter was delivered with her main course. Then had to goto a waiter to ask for our bill. When he brought it, amount was 133 pounds rather than 72 pounds.

Booked in with friends today, sorry to say I was left a little underwhelmed. I had a caesar salad. I was however, impressed when asked they could accommodate the fact I do not eat cheese. Sadly although it was freshly made the portion was small for nearly £18. To top it off we had requested if we could pay individually, the response was" I'm not a mathematician, you work out what you owe us." Then we all paid by card as they don't take cash. Sorry to say this is not good enough as some people who come as a group like to pay cash.

Welcoming staff. Diolch. Varied menu. Particularly enjoyed my taco starter and lovely (special) rhubarb and custard tart. 2nd time to visit and 2nd time we enjoyed it. I’d say the best of the Dylan’s restaurants.

A fine selection of foods to suit all tastes and at reasonable prices. Our waitress was charming and the atmosphere was perfect. A great night out.

Read the reviews and thought we could try for ourselves, had lunch on 15/04/24. We hadn't booked a table but were asked for a contact name and number, only reason would be for future marketing purposes. Ushered to a table upstairs, tables very close together, to maximise profits. The wooden table was extremely sticky, this I presume was due to the liquid wax not being rubbed in sufficiently. We had no longer sat down when were asked if we were ready to order. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio, a little expensive at £29.50 a bottle, average is normally around £25 and a small bottle of water, that only came with one glass, the waitress assumed that only one person was going to be having some! My husband and I shared the glass as it was too much hassle to ask for another glass. They then came back a couple of minutes later to see if we were ready to order and as the menu is extensive, takes a little time to read and decide. We decided on the mackerel pate and moules marinere for starters, which were fine and edible. The mains were a massive let down. My husband had a margarita pizza with added mushrooms, I had the pork. The pizza on arrival looked nice, if not looking a bit on the undercooked side as some of the cheese hadn't melted. This was in fact the case. The outer crust of the pizza dough was just cooked , however, the base under the topping was still raw and un-cooked. This would be due to the pizza ovens not being up to temperature and hot enough as it was lunch time service. My husband scrapped what he could of the cooked topping and pizza edges to have. No one came to ask if everything was okay as the tables were filling up. The pork that I had was on the other hand overcooked and dry, even with the sauce that has a skin on it and the potatoes were lukewarm and greasy. The only reason we didn't mention it at the time was it was incredibly busy with only 2 serving and to have to wait for the food to be rectified wasn't worth it as my husband as a type 1 diabetic had already taken insulin. Service was incredibly slow and a long wait between starter and main, even although we were asked when the starter plates were removed were we ready for the mains. This is only the beginning of the season, would not like to go in the height of summer!!! We are staying in Llandudno and had considered the Dylan's there but this experience in Conwy has put us off and will give it a miss. Overall the place is overpriced and over-rated for what you get, not a great experience as we had hoped for. A 2 course lunch with wine and a small botte of water came to £93! Needless to say we decided to have a sweet treat, coffee and brandy elsewhere! There are many more options available in Conwy, do research of where you want to eat before you go.

A very exclusive restaurant serving delicious dishes. It may not be cheap, but it's worth it. Located in the center of Conwy on two floors of an old tenement house. Beautiful interiors, decorated in an old Welsh style with many characteristic elements. Food tasty and fresh. Very good local beer. A lot of space on individual floors. I recommend

Excellent food and service. Not quite sure why a few have given poor reviews. The chowder and the steak were cooked to perfection
