Fabulous meal. Travelling from Australia it's always a bit of a special treat to try Indian in different countries. Our meal was excellent. Full of flavour and spice. Thoroughly recommend Abbasi's if you are visiting Betws-y-coed!

Delicious starters, very fresh tasty. Lovely rice pudding, lots of flavour. The staff were brilliant, offered lots of advice, knowledgeable about the dishes.

I got to Wales 3 hrs later than expected with most places finished food orders at 8pm! I am very happy about this now as I would not have ended up eating in Betws or in Abbasi's. It's not a huge menu so they are able to concentrate on wonderful flavours of northern India. I had THE most delicious medium spiced mutton kariahi with the unusual matar pulao rice. Great tastes and made with Welsh mutton! The ladies were friendly and helpful with my choices. No photo as I was too busy eating! 🤣

Do not go!!!Easily the worst Indian cuisine meal I’ve ever had. We were a party of 5, told we had a time limit to eat. Ran out of time so we had a takeaway instead. (£154 order) The staff were lovely but… The naan bread was uncooked, 2 of the dishes were uncooked. Some of the dishes were inedible. Dhal was liquid and clear. The Mutton Rogan was a spicy curry, not Rogan Josh. We actually threw away at least 80% of the whole meal, even though we were all famished after a hard day on the mountain.

Lovely vegan options, food tasted good with great flavours. .

To start, the good: we arrived late on the evening and this was the only place in town still open and serving food. We didn't have to wait long for our food and the staff was warm and welcoming. Good presentation and clean restaurant and bathrooms. The not so good: the restaurant was cold, as in the ambient temperature. None of the heaters were on and the couple next to us we wearing their jackets, we regrettably didn't bring ours in from the van. We ordered three dishes, one chicken, one veg and one mutton, but they all came in the same sauce, with nearly identical flavor, texture and presentation. For the price we paid, it was a bit of a let down to essentially have one dish. I'm the end, we felt it was overpriced for what we received and wouldn't return if other options existed.

This is a spot we always come back to in Betws-y-Coed and have very good curries, especially the mutton. Good selection of beers. Does get busy in peak periods so I recommend booking!

Lovely Curry. I am a big fan of the mutton curries. Not something you see in many places. Always a stop when we are visiting betws-y-coed.

ordered from here had to wait a long time we ordered 9 curry’s and they was all different however nothing was named on the pot and every single curry tasted the same with very little flavour would not recommended at all

The service was excellent, the food was delicious. My thoughts would be that a Mild curry would be hot enough for most people, I ordered the Hot and it was too much. I would gladly come here again and recommend to my friends. I wish them all the good fortune

Beautiful food, amazing service

I’ll be honest. I have had better Indian food but I have also paid more and travelled for it. I had heard mixed reviews of this place but the bad ones are wrong. Fresh and authentically flavoured dishes. Reshma gave excellent and attentive service, as did all the service.

Delicious food, we especially enjoyed the starters of shami kebab and chole puri, they were very tasty. The spice level was below what we expected but we still really enjoyed the food. The service was very friendly.

It was worth it to choose Abbasi’s Indian restaurant for our dinner. Perfectly balanced Indian test. Staff were very welcoming and polite. Specially thanks to IAGO. he takes care of us. This place is a hidden gem in North Wales for ones who is looking for AUTHENTIC Indian ( no fusion from neighbouring brothers) . We have been here on holiday for long weekend and been craving for ghar ka khana which Abbasi’s satisfied with their soulful food. It was just what we needed after long day! The staff was friendly , accommodating and served with smoke which makes the experience even better. I couldn’t take photos as we were super hungry and the focus was on feeding ourselves.😂 Thank you for looking after us. Much appreciated 🙏

Do not waste your time and money dining here. Rude and incompetent staff. Took an hour to get food and when it came it was tasteless and greasy. Staff couldn’t be bothered to serve and when asked for some more drinks it was like playing twenty one questions and still the drinks came wrong. What’s the point in hiring staff if they don’t know what drinks you serve. We also pre booked a table and recieved an email response to confirm our booking, only to show up and not be booked in. To top it off we were say right by the toilet doors that someone would be in and out of every two seconds. We had to go to the bar to ask for the bill and then they wanted to add a service charge. When asked to remove the service charge due to the lack of customer service we were met with attitude and rudeness. The best part of the meal was leaving.

We ordered a takeaway by choosing a specific time but when we reached to pickup, food wasn’t ready and we were told to wait 15 mins. It was hard to find a place to park for waiting. We ordered biryani, but it was more of a soggy and watery pulao. Wasn’t tasting very good as well. The dal we ordered wasn’t cooked well and it felt like sticky and slimy. Overall not a decent experience. Perhaps it’s easy for restaurants like to get away with this type of service as most customers are tourists and management don’t care if they want to come back or not. We don’t recommend this place.

Delicious food….was quite pleasantly surprised how good food was as the rating isn’t doing any justice. Very nice staff members as well.

The food was average, and unfortunately, one of the dishes was served without any salt. There was no acknowledgment or apology for the oversight; instead, we were simply provided with salt to adjust it ourselves. Additionally, the attitude of the serving staff felt unwelcoming, which impacted the overall experience. Based on this visit, I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending the place.

Surprised to find such a great authentic Indian restaurant tucked away in North Wales. Absolutely top class. Couldn't fault a thing. Brilliant.

I am half-Indian and eat and cook a fair amount of curry. This was a memorably excellent meal. The place was bustling on a Saturday night in the Easter holidays, and as they also do takeaway I'm sure the kitchen and staff were under pressure. Waiting staff were apologetic about waiting times - but they weren't even that bad! In terms of the food - everything was clearly freshly prepared. The ingredients were right. The poppadoms came with a tray of chutneys that were either home-made or doing a very good impression of it - a hint of lime running through the mango chutney. A particular highlight for me was the kheer (see photo) - an Indian rice pudding dessert. It had been made on the spot and was piping hot - and it had the distinctive flavour of jaggery. Wonderful. Highly recommended.

This was one of the best curries i have had in the UK. Highly recommend you try it.

Busy on a Friday night, but our food came quickly. Portions were generous and delicious, and properly spiced. The butter naan in particular was really good. We will be happy to come again!

Went to Betws-y-Coed for a couple of days p&q and decided to give it a try based on the reviews. Called in just after the restaurant opened. Food was exceptional and service was prompt and very friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended. Would definitely go again if I'm in the area.

Myself and my family were staying in Betys for 4 days and we are here 2 out of the 4 nights. Definitely the best food we had in Betys, everything was delicious! The staff were so lovely and accommodating, can't recommend this place enough.

Okay so, i had come to Wales to have a birthday weekend trip with my friends. Decided to have the dinner at Abbasi’s where our whole experience was spoiled by one staff member named Karishma. She was the rudest person ever and I wonder what she is even doing in the hospitality business. She has no sense of communicating with the customers. Initially, she refused us a table saying that the restaurant is too busy when there were ample empty tables. After requesting a lot, she gave us a time slot for 2 hours later which was 8.30 pm and said we have to finish and leave by 9.30 pm and even if the last order is at 9.30 pm, she asked us to empty the table by 9.30 pm and leave. When asked for a senior on duty, she said she is in charge and we have to deal with her only. Later while having our dinner, we saw her making bad faces at us and gossiping with her other colleagues. Absolutely pathetic! However, i would like to mention that the food was okay, not bad. There was another staff named Reshma who was very sweet and handled our table very nicely. It was only due to her that our experience was a bit better.

Only place that would serve us past 9pm after a very long day in the mountains! Great service and food.

Wish we'd read about the poppadoms. The tray of sauces was meanest ive ever been served - not enough for 4 poppadoms and not very nice - out of a jar ?? No diced onions not lime pickle. We complained and were offered the option to buy more ?? So, a sorry start and a very mediocre meal for the price after that. We declined to pay the service charge which is added to the bill. Won't be returning

We went in, and it was quiet. It soon started to fill up, and the atmosphere was good. The food was excellent. It was the first time we were asked for our desired spice level. We decided to stick to mild and medium so we could share the dishes. We only spoke with one staff member, but she was very friendly, polite, and kept the other diners informed as the place filled up.

We loved Abbasi’s, we came at a very quiet time in march but that only meant we were wonderfully looked after… The food is fantastic, particularly the Mutton Karrahi. We’d never had it before and I’m so glad we chose it. We only popped in for a quick dinner but will definitely be back when we come again next year.

We visited on Sunday 2nd of March and the lady on front of house was wonderful. Very personable and couldn’t have been more helpful. Our curries were delicious and we ate every last morsel. The portions were large and great value for money. We will definitely be coming here again!

Vegan aloo pakoras were freshly made, crispy and absolutely delicious! Vegan channa puris were exceptional too - and service excellent (but it could have been a bit warmer inside and the chairs are a bit hard!)

We had the best curry we’ve ever had in this restaurant. Puris were amazing. The daal curry was delicious as was everything else we tried. Service was attentive and friendly and the bill was very reasonable. Will definitely be going back when we come to Betws again.

The food was delicious. Kids weren't too kern on the paneer. Was annoyed that a service charge was added automatically! The 2 kids sorbet cost more than a main meal 😆 wouldn't go again, not worth the money.

Where to start……. This restaurant is a disgrace to the good Indian restaurants that we all know and love. Not one part of this place is authentic, other than the authentic Tesco bought frozen rubbish. The food is clearly frozen since it came so quickly and lacks any sort of taste. The mango chutney is thicker than Anne Hegartys waist line - Tesco bought. Poppadoms were bland - Tesco bought. No draught beer which is simply unacceptable for an Indian restaurant. Nearly fell of my chair when the bill came up to £60 for two of us with one drink each and no starters. They must be making a fortune upselling Tesco ready meals. On top of this the place was empty and blasting music and the waitress was sat on her phone when we were sat with dirty plates. I am no Indian but I am an expert in the curry department, just read my previous reviews and I am telling you now AVOID this horrendous joke of a curry house. As always, up the tics.

Ordered a few dishes and in one of the curries there was one piece of chicken that was berry chewy/squeaky uncooked. The flavours were pretty bland and the dishes came out tasting very similar. Nothing to write home about and personally won't be visiting again. The lighting is very doctors surgery and it has no real feelings or ambiance

Not your typical ‘curry house’ but man, the food was spectacular. Real homemade, fresh and packed with authentic flavour. Highly recommended. I went in feeling grotty with cold, but the veggie madras and pakora had me buzzing! Bravo! And the waitress, whose name begins with K, was lovely too.

We were recommended this while staying a few nights in Betsy and it certainly didn't disappoint! Both staff members were lovely and attentative and we thoroughly enjoyed the food! We recommend the Aloo Pakori and the as vegetarian I had the Butter Paneer. Really good value for money seeing we had starters, mains, sides and beers! Thanks for having us! :)

Strongly recommend you don't bother with main courses but just get a series of starters. We got several chaat, plus a lentil curry, and it was all superb (and all vegetarian). Different textures, temperatures and flavours. Very unusual, delicious.

Food was really really bad. Ordered a paneer masala and Bombay aloo and was shocked when it came out in under 5 minutes, clearly this was because it was not even remotely freshly cooked. Which was confirmed with the taste, paneer pieces were almost cold in the middle whilst gravy was hot. The aloo was the same. I felt really unwell afterwards. Oh and there was a hair in my food. Extremely bland too. Not the best customer service skills at front counter either, not sure why they ask for personal details. Would not recommend. Was not happy that a 10% service charge was added without asking.

Really delicious, high-end Indian cuisine

A great meal. I'm not a spicy meal fan but my partner loves Indian food. I had a medium biriani and it was wonderful. No litres of perspiration flowing from my head just a nice heat in the mouth and an enjoyable meal. We really enjoyed all aspects of the meal and the staff are very helpful with the selection (and checking up on me). Recommended.
