Great service, great food, authentic cuisine, very accommodating

Okay so, i had come to Wales to have a birthday weekend trip with my friends. Decided to have the dinner at Abbasi’s where our whole experience was spoiled by one staff member named Karishma. She was the rudest person ever and I wonder what she is even doing in the hospitality business. She has no sense of communicating with the customers. Initially, she refused us a table saying that the restaurant is too busy when there were ample empty tables. After requesting a lot, she gave us a time slot for 2 hours later which was 8.30 pm and said we have to finish and leave by 9.30 pm and even if the last order is at 9.30 pm, she asked us to empty the table by 9.30 pm and leave. When asked for a senior on duty, she said she is in charge and we have to deal with her only. Later while having our dinner, we saw her making bad faces at us and gossiping with her other colleagues. Absolutely pathetic! However, i would like to mention that the food was okay, not bad. There was another staff named Reshma who was very sweet and handled our table very nicely. It was only due to her that our experience was a bit better.

Only place that would serve us past 9pm after a very long day in the mountains! Great service and food.

Outstanding Indian meal. We eat a lot of Indian food around the World and this is up there. Will be back. And as a bonus you can take your dog..!!!

Wish we'd read about the poppadoms. The tray of sauces was meanest ive ever been served - not enough for 4 poppadoms and not very nice - out of a jar ?? No diced onions not lime pickle. We complained and were offered the option to buy more ?? So, a sorry start and a very mediocre meal for the price after that. We declined to pay the service charge which is added to the bill. Won't be returning

Service excellent. Food was bloody great. Mutton madras for the win So full of flavour and just the right spice. So happy could of had 2 .

We went in, and it was quiet. It soon started to fill up, and the atmosphere was good. The food was excellent. It was the first time we were asked for our desired spice level. We decided to stick to mild and medium so we could share the dishes. We only spoke with one staff member, but she was very friendly, polite, and kept the other diners informed as the place filled up.

Such a beautiful meal. They cater to whatever spice you want, I had a medium spice butter chicken, a bit out the norm but it was absolutely perfect. Also they are dog friendly! 😊

Excellent place, I don't eat out very often but what a great meal. Highly recommended. The curry was very tasty and the service was very good. It's dog friendly too.

We loved Abbasi’s, we came at a very quiet time in march but that only meant we were wonderfully looked after… The food is fantastic, particularly the Mutton Karrahi. We’d never had it before and I’m so glad we chose it. We only popped in for a quick dinner but will definitely be back when we come again next year.

We visited on Sunday 2nd of March and the lady on front of house was wonderful. Very personable and couldn’t have been more helpful. Our curries were delicious and we ate every last morsel. The portions were large and great value for money. We will definitely be coming here again!

Vegan aloo pakoras were freshly made, crispy and absolutely delicious! Vegan channa puris were exceptional too - and service excellent (but it could have been a bit warmer inside and the chairs are a bit hard!)

Fabulous setting and absolutely wonderful food. Super fresh and tasty and the exact right amount of spice. Great service and good range of local beers too.

We had the best curry we’ve ever had in this restaurant. Puris were amazing. The daal curry was delicious as was everything else we tried. Service was attentive and friendly and the bill was very reasonable. Will definitely be going back when we come to Betws again.

The food was delicious. Kids weren't too kern on the paneer. Was annoyed that a service charge was added automatically! The 2 kids sorbet cost more than a main meal 😆 wouldn't go again, not worth the money.

Where to start……. This restaurant is a disgrace to the good Indian restaurants that we all know and love. Not one part of this place is authentic, other than the authentic Tesco bought frozen rubbish. The food is clearly frozen since it came so quickly and lacks any sort of taste. The mango chutney is thicker than Anne Hegartys waist line - Tesco bought. Poppadoms were bland - Tesco bought. No draught beer which is simply unacceptable for an Indian restaurant. Nearly fell of my chair when the bill came up to £60 for two of us with one drink each and no starters. They must be making a fortune upselling Tesco ready meals. On top of this the place was empty and blasting music and the waitress was sat on her phone when we were sat with dirty plates. I am no Indian but I am an expert in the curry department, just read my previous reviews and I am telling you now AVOID this horrendous joke of a curry house. As always, up the tics.

Ordered a few dishes and in one of the curries there was one piece of chicken that was berry chewy/squeaky uncooked. The flavours were pretty bland and the dishes came out tasting very similar. Nothing to write home about and personally won't be visiting again. The lighting is very doctors surgery and it has no real feelings or ambiance

Not your typical ‘curry house’ but man, the food was spectacular. Real homemade, fresh and packed with authentic flavour. Highly recommended. I went in feeling grotty with cold, but the veggie madras and pakora had me buzzing! Bravo! And the waitress, whose name begins with K, was lovely too.

We were recommended this while staying a few nights in Betsy and it certainly didn't disappoint! Both staff members were lovely and attentative and we thoroughly enjoyed the food! We recommend the Aloo Pakori and the as vegetarian I had the Butter Paneer. Really good value for money seeing we had starters, mains, sides and beers! Thanks for having us! :)

Strongly recommend you don't bother with main courses but just get a series of starters. We got several chaat, plus a lentil curry, and it was all superb (and all vegetarian). Different textures, temperatures and flavours. Very unusual, delicious.

Food was really really bad. Ordered a paneer masala and Bombay aloo and was shocked when it came out in under 5 minutes, clearly this was because it was not even remotely freshly cooked. Which was confirmed with the taste, paneer pieces were almost cold in the middle whilst gravy was hot. The aloo was the same. I felt really unwell afterwards. Oh and there was a hair in my food. Extremely bland too. Not the best customer service skills at front counter either, not sure why they ask for personal details. Would not recommend. Was not happy that a 10% service charge was added without asking.

Really delicious, high-end Indian cuisine

A great meal. I'm not a spicy meal fan but my partner loves Indian food. I had a medium biriani and it was wonderful. No litres of perspiration flowing from my head just a nice heat in the mouth and an enjoyable meal. We really enjoyed all aspects of the meal and the staff are very helpful with the selection (and checking up on me). Recommended.

An incredible spot for Indian cuisine! Mutton Seekh Kebab and Chicken Rogan Josh stood out as absolute highlights. The flavors were perfect, truly delivered on taste and authenticity. Highly recommend authentic desi khana!

We were here over the weekend to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. We originally looked at a different restaurant down the road that is very popular and has rave reviews but after standing for over half an hour with no table we headed to Abbasi's. What a treat. The lady who welcomed us in had limited tables but was extremely accommodating and saw us to a table. The food was delicious and the service was quick, efficient and warm. Very pleasant evening and would absolutely return again. The price was more than reasonable and only a short distance from our hotel. 4 min drive/12 min walk. My husband even got a takeaway Mango Lasso and he was chuffed.

This was very good. I took a couple of friend for a curry when they stayed in Penmachno. Easy and free parking. An excellent meal and plenty of freshly cooked food. Highly recommended here in the Conwy valley.

The place was empty and we were directed to a table for 2 which was so close to the wall. I asked for the table next to it which was not allowed as to it was a table for 4. We normally order side orders etc but the table we had was so small I didn’t want to.

Absolutely brilliant went there last night for my boyfriend birthday,couldn't fault it 1 of the best indians weve been to,staff lovely and friendly food delious outstanding thank you.

Three of us ate here on a Saturday night and were very impressed. The food is lovely, authentic Indian food. Lamb was deliciously tender. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Will definitely be back.

Probably the worst Indian takeaway that we have ever had! It was very similar to a frozen ready meal and I’ve actually had tastier curries from Tesco! Also super expensive….£12.50 for a curry and the cartons weren’t even full! Very disappointed and we will not be returning!

Went for dinner with my family. As looking for a nice Halal restaurant. The lady at the reception was very friendly. Service was excellent. Food quality was excellent as well. Definitely recommended. Nearby parking was very good as well £2 only from 6pm-8am. You can also walk around to see high street.

Reasonably priced, good quality food. Large portions, friendly staff, can be a bit crowded & noisy when the place is full tho. Vegetarian and vegan options clearly marked on the menu. You can choose your food to be mild, medium or hot. Dine in or take out options.

I don't like to give below 5 unless it was a poor experience. Overall this place is lovely. Nice and clean, friendly and efficient staff. The food tasted nice and was nice and warm. Only one thing which I could be totally wrong about is with regards to the food. I asked for mushrooms with my chicken balti but they didn't do it. My partner also asked instead of lamb could she have a chicken korai which they don't do either. This has led me to believe these are premade Currys . overall a really lovely night.

The rice may be undercooked or overcooked, leading to a grainy or mushy texture.The biryani may not have enough spices or flavor, leading to a dull and uninteresting taste. Not worth for the money as u already have biriyani.

Ordered a bunch of vegetarian dishes and was completely disappointed. It was written as it was the best and authentic indian cuisine but wasn't. We ordered Puri Chholey spicy but it was more tangier and non spicy. Vegetable biryani was not actually a biryani, it was sticky rice more like pulao. Don't ever order poppadoms, it was okay. Naan was great, but the paneer butter masala was sub par.

What an exceptional place! We wandered in late in the evening and were hoping to still get a meal. Not only were we greeted with warm smiles and amazing aromas wafting from the kitchen, but the great welcome was followed up with THE most fabulous dishes. Cooked to our liking and served in a promt, hearty manner. Beautiful place, beautiful people, beautiful food.

We had the absolute pleasure of dining on this restaurant one evening. The staff were extremely helpful, very nice and very good. The food was excellent too. We had an entirely lovely experience all round. We would highly recommend eating here.

Abbasi's for fantastic food and service! Great atmosphere and very welcoming with traditional music and all staff very attentive. Highly recommended this restaurant to anybody. We are a family including children which they will cater for if needed. Wide variety of food available. We had fried fish kebab, Chicken Tikka and Chicken biryani. All tasty and freshly prepared as to our spice strengths.

Food was a pleasant surprise, the flavours rich and (in line with order) spicy, and the service staff was v friendly and attentive. Prices are relatively high, though.

We had a delicious meal! They serve my favourite drink: mango lassi. The food was excellent and we got a box to take the leftovers home. The staff was kind and service was quick. I do recommend eating here.

After a long Sunday's hike on the mountains, we were looking for somewhere that still served dinner after 9p.m Abbasi's were the only ones still serving still in the vicinity of Capel Curig and Betws y Coed. It was well and truly amazing food and hospitality, highly recommended 👌
