I go every Thursday for the Excellent quiz, Last night I dropped my debit card under the table, The Landlady was great...she got my number from the booking and rang me just as I got home and arranged for me to collect it the following morning..which I just have. Great service and saved me loads of hassle cancelling the card etc.

Food going down hill rapidly. Was always great, but things have definitely changed, and not for the better. Not the management I'm sure, probably the brewery burning the candle at both ends.

Excellent service from staff and Landlady Joanne! It's our go to place for food, and the lovely friendly atmosphere. Have been a few times now and will keep coming back.

To provide some context, I emigrated from the UK last year. However, whenever I come back to visit family, I always make sure to visit my local pub, The Gardeners Arms. On Saturday evening, after my late-night walk, I noticed that The Gardeners Arms was still open as I was on my way home, and I thought to myself that I'll pop in for a quick pint for old times' sake. I ordered a pint and sat in a booth by myself, reminiscing about the old times I had in this pub. However, at some point during the evening, a scuffle broke out among a small group of people. My dad messaged me asking how my night was going to which I replied with "It's kind of going like this..." and sent a small clip of the fight happening by the front door. I said that it was unusual for such things to happen here as it had always been a very friendly pub. Eventually, the fight was broken up by some of the regulars who managed to separate them. The next day, after spending the day watching rugby, my dad and I stopped at The Gardeners Arms for a drink. We ordered our drinks and sat down in a corner to discuss the game. Shortly after, one of the barmaids came over and joined us. During our conversation, the topic of last night's incident came up. We all agreed it was unusual for such things to occur in what had been a family-friendly pub for the 30 years I've been visiting. After the barmaid left, I remarked on how professionally she had handled what appeared to be just a casual conversation. However, things were about to take a turn for the worse. The landlord, Andy, approached our table, looked directly at me, and aggressively stated, “GET THE F*** OUT NOW!” Stunned, I replied, “What?” He repeated, “GET THE F*** OUT. NOW.” In shock and disbelief, I asked why. He accused me of 'taking videos of people' and claimed that it was illegal. As I stood up to get my jacket, we had a brief exchange of words during which I argued that it was ridiculous to be kicked out and barred for such a reason. I explained that the video was not posted on social media - it wasn't shared on Facebook, Instagram, or anywhere else; I sent it directly to my dad. Despite this, Andy got in my face and squared up to me, which was completely out of order and unacceptable. I got my coat and we left. First of all, I was not taking videos “of people”; I recorded a fight occurring in your pub. Secondly, contrary to what you might think, it is not illegal to record what I perceived as a serious situation - a fight breaking out in your pub. If you believe otherwise, please cite the specific law I have broken. Thirdly, documenting an escalating fight, where fists or glasses might be thrown, could prove valuable should the police require evidence. I have been coming to this pub for the best part of 30 years. I've celebrated birthdays here, brought my nieces and nephew to meet Santa, attended Halloween events, watched countless football matches with friends, and enjoyed hundreds of family meals. However, after the recent incident, I will NEVER visit this pub again. The landlord’s actions and words were categorically unacceptable and out of order. You should never resort to swearing at people or aggressive behaviour; it is utterly unprofessional and a disgrace. As a result, I have contacted Marston's directly and filed a complaint because what happened is absolutely disgraceful.

Arrived here to my pet hate in pubs....lots of reserved tables for tonight's quiz. Joanne, the landlady came over for a chat and I mentioned the reserved signs. She took.ours off. We had food off the specials menu. We had the belly pork which was lovely. Very well.presented and tasty. Will be back

Such a lovely pub 😀 very friendly and dog are welcome as well which is good, the landlords are very lovely and helpful the staff are lovely and friendly I enjoy going all the time I've had a few meals there as well and they are very good 👍. And the prices is good as well,

Tonight was such a pleasurable experience. My family and I have had an excellent meal. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and even though it was a little busy the staff went well out of the way to make sure that my 2 young children were comfortable, and had colouring pens a paper ( something some may say is standard but from experience is difficult to get at most places). The food came out quickly and service is always with a smile here. I have been coming here for nearly 20 years and the latest managers are really doing a top job, employing great staff and focusing on what really makes a great locals pub. Really appreciate them turning the pub around and making it a safe environment for my family to come👌

Very disappointed. Booked a ‘table to dine’ online to arrive between 7.15-7.45pm. Arrived at 7.30pm and a young man showed us to our table and gave us cutlery and menus. No warning was given that we needed to hurry up and order. Went to order the food at 7.50pm to be told that the kitchen closes at 7.45pm. The man was not apologetic whatsoever and quite rude. Something similar happened previously also where we booked to eat, giving our phone number, only to be told when we arrived that the kitchen was closed due to staff absence. No one thought to inform us despite knowing about our reservation and having my number. Won’t be bothering with this place again.

We can highly recommend the Gardeners Arms in Thornton Cleveleys. The staff are very friendly and you are made to feel welcome. The establishment is clean and tidy and the drinks are very reasonably priced. Wainwrights and Neck Oil are my husbands choice and Pinot Blush is mine - a large glass of course! The food is excellent and caters for all tastes including children. awe both opted for the Hot Dog with chips. Wow, if you have small appetites share one between 2. In saying that, it was superb and will know next time we visit. Like I say, highly recommended by both of us and it’s a 5* review for the Gardeners Arms in Thornton Cleveleys which are only given if well deserved.

This is a very nice pub, however, they do deserve places for their regular customers even when they are not in the pub. Being asked to move because we were sitting in a regular place was bad enough but being told the table had been "reserved" once the regulars had come in and were heard complaining about us sitting in "their place". What a total farce. Won't be coming back grr

We was greeted at the door with a warm welcoming by the host I believe her name was Jo, we then got a table and proceeded to order our drinks, the atmosphere was electric, everyone was in good spirits, the food was piping hot & absolutely delicious, we ended up staying as a band was playing that same evening, thanks again to all the staff

Great menu at very reasonable price. Portions just right for lunch. The couple running the pub could not have been more friendly and helpful. Looking at the menu and special nightly offers I am not surprised it is a popular venue. It deserves to thrive as I am sure it will. With pubs closing this needs to stay open.

Lovely pub , friendly staff and good pub food Cask beer is always in excellent condition and they have a great selection of draught beers , lager , cider bottles etc and a fabulous array of spirits etc on the back bar Andy and Jo are brilliant hosts and nothing is to much trouble We enjoy every visit Thank you for all your hard work

We visited today and were blown away by the outstanding service afforded to us and our 2 year old. They went out of there way to make our experience the best possible by setting of the booth tv with kid’s programs, giving us toys for our loud 2 year old and making our meal as comfortable as possible. Tremendous service- thanks and we will be back again.

We popped in here at lunchtime. We were made very welcome by the landlady. Our food was OK, but when we asked for salt, we were told that they had run out. My Sunday lunch was very bland without seasoning, the food was nice but was totally spoilt. The place was a bit tired and needed some decorating. I understand places are struggling financially at the moment, but get your basics right.

Stayed at the caravan park but ate here a few times during our stay. It was significantly cheaper than eating on the park and still felt like a treat! (The Sherry Trifle cheesecake was TO DIE FOR!!!) We were really looked after and the team made a fuss over the children, when our waitress saw me feeding the baby she offered to take my lunch back to keep it warm until we were ready! Such a sweet gesture and really appreciated!

Stayed at Cala Gran over a weekend for a family celebration and booked the Gardeners Arms for a celebratory meal out on sat 22/04/23, it was a short bus ride away so was perfect. There was a group of 30 including children. The manager Jo was the perfect host, she had decorated the area where we were seated and had even bought the birthday man a card, this was unexpected and a lovely gesture. The food was delicious, very tasty and perfectly cooked and presented, they even called your name when bringing food to the table, never had that happen before and made you feel welcome. Everyone enjoyed their meal very much and all left happy and full. All the staff were very pleasant and welcoming and we all felt at home, there was live music on that night but unfortunately couldnt stay as we had younger ones with us much to all the adults disappointment. Jo you and your team were the perfect hosts and we will definitely return, i am actually very disappointed that your place is not my local, we all are. Thankyou so much for your fantastic welcome and hosting skills to us all. I would highly recommend you pay the Gardeners Arms, fleetwood rd, N a visit wether you are staying at the caravan park nearby or just simply passing, you wont be disappointed, thankyou jo and all your amazing team x

Staff are really lovely and accommodating! they have really food food and a good pint! i would definitely recommend it!

Whilst the staff behind the bar were ok, the food served was really poor. For starters the crispy mushrooms were wet but ok. We ordered 3 Chicken madras curries - all of which came with rock hard naan bread. Our other two meals we’re surf and turf - both of which came with rock hard stale chips and tough 8oz streak that was over cooked from the requested medium. Sausage and mash was also part of our order - the sausage felt dry and stale and had to be wetted by the included gravy. The mash was mash! We wouldn’t go back or recommend here again.

We had a brilliant time and the food was great thanks to Jo and Andy and all the staff, top class! Food was great and the kids were made up which is seriously important!!

Clean, friendly staff, great selection of drinks and food to die for. The staff made us feel welcome from the second we stepped in. We had booked a table and the landlady came over straight away to apologise that the family before us had ran over. But within minutes she had cleaned table and set it all up again for us so by time we had got our drinks at the bar the table was ready. Visited teatime yesterday with hubby & pooch, had curry & a pint, could not fault it, I thought Carling was included in the £8 meal deal, but it wasn't, the staff behind the bar changed it to Fosters without a quibble, they were so delightful, they are a credit to the landlord & landlady, also a very friendly & welcoming pub, we will back for steak night.

New local as Iron Horse has gone downhill (literally). Not overly busy therefore food was good and hot. Fish and chips were spot on. Beers ok too. Plenty of room and clean and not overloaded with young children as no kids play area thank goodness.

This is a nice pub that serves decent food at reasonable prices. It's relatively modern inside, contrary to it's well worn exterior. The food was standard fare but it was tasty and we didn't have to wait too long for it.

Waited nearly an hour for food to be served! Drinks prices had risen considerable since our last visit and they tasted flat.

We went for our evening meal last night. Wouldn't normally order steak from a pub but my husband said he fancied the rib-eye. So we both had the rib-eye. Very nice piece of meat cooked exactly how we asked. Came with chips, peas, onion rings and tomato. The chips were amazing. Great value for money.

Second visit since the refurbishment. The Lunch dinners club menu 3 courses excellent value for money all three course arrived prompt and pipping hot good quality food and service with a smile lovely waitress.

Have eaten here regularly in the past, on my most recent visit I had the vegetarian lasagne and can honestly say it was the worst meal I've ever had! The lasagne was so devoid of filling it looked like a pancake. I'm just sorry I didn't complain at the time but was feeling a bit worse for wear with a toothache and just wanted to get home. Plenty of other decent places to eat around here so will not be going back to the Gardeners Arms.

After refurb went for breakfast like normal, you have ruined it sausage have become chipolata size your bread is crap, bread with a breakfast should be TOASTIE bread (hence the name TOASTIE ) not a bloomer,since when do you have chips with breakfast, Oh that's American what that saying when in Rome do as the Romans do (p.s were in England ) the coffee was stone cold needs to be in a mug NOT WIDE NECK CUP as this goes cold to quick. Me and my wife decided to see what the pub was lime after the take over by marsdons and the refurb.

Kept seeing this restaurant advertised, so decided to try while our son and his wife were over from Spain. And we weren’t disappointed!

Our first visit to the newly refurbished Gardner’s Arms was on Wednesday when it was Curry night and really enjoyed it, so tonight we took family with us for a meal, the food was not that good, steaks only just warm and not very nice quality ( we were told the butcher will get asked about them )

After closing for a refit recently visited here. Gone from sizzling chain to mars tons. Carpets new. Food would have been ok but was cold as was the room temperature. Staff were really lovely though. Adjustments needed and will revisit mid January when hopefully teething issues will have been sorted

Just visited the new Garderners arms in Thornton, The refurbishment looks absolutely amazing, nice clean inviting environment. The new menu is well priced and tasty really enjoyed my visit. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Was served by a lady called Amy made us feel very welcome and made such a memorable experience will definitely be visiting again 10/10 for the new Garderners!!

Have visited here a couple of times and have enjoyed all meals. The roast dinner is really lovely and great value. The staff are friendly and work as fast as possible. One niggle with the roast is no stuffing :(

we went in here the other day and fair enough its a bit shabby looking but was clean and tidy. my hubby had the steak and unicorn ale pie and I had the Lancashire hotpot and oh my god, it was the best an amazing food we have ever tasted Real home cooked food. we wouldn't have known they were there if my hubby hadn't walked past and seen the board, you could do with something on the tables to tell us customers what is on there otherwise we would have not known. we would have payed double if we new it tasted like that well done gardeners arms and chef who cooked them. This is the place to go if you want proper home cooked amazing food. and we cant wait to see what else is on there next time we go its going to be are place to go from now on if its like that we can not wait...….

Been a regular here for a long time eaten at least twice a week ,Gone downhill since change of menu ,Tried lots of food since only thing worth eating are the sizzling fajitas bring back the sizzlers .Staff dont seem to care waited 50 mins for meal staff going round asking everyone if all was ok avoided us never came near ,We are your bread and butter not holiday makers from the caravan site,Remember that wont be eating in here till things change pity its our local we only live over the road ..

This pub used to be a sizzler but is now owned by the milton pubs group.

My daughter and I came here tonight to dine . The food that I ordered was amazing and cooked to perfection presentation of the meals were excellent and the meals were served by very friendly staff. Russ the manager was very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend this pub as they do excellent food with excellent customer service.

Stopped here for lunch, about 11:30 asked about the menu, told we only do breakfast until 12:00 then the main menu is available, nowhere on the menu does it mention anything about times. Since it has changed branding the menu choices have gone drastically downhill, not as much choice. And it looks like smaller portions. Will NOT be back in a hurry

We have been going here for years and always enjoyed it until today. It has changed hands and the menu has changed. We waited nearly an hour, we were not Informed there was a wait or else we would have gone else where. Oh how I wish we had. They no longer do sizzling platters so the plates were cold, the gammon was Luke warm and served with a salad and the most awful chips imaginable. Nobody came to see if everything was ok. When they came to collect the plates we told them of our complaints and the waitress said Everybody is saying the same. Will not be going again for definite.

I. Have eaten at this pub lots of times, too many to count, they had lovely menu food served piping hot on iron sizzering skillets. The best meal was the mixed grill, the regular size not the giant size excellent must have had it 19 times and faultless.

Decided to go gardeners today with my family as we've been here quite a few times.quite disapointed with the meal we all ordered the steak and hunters for£7.99now i know that not expensive but for what you got we was still hungry when my meal arrived it looked like it had been half eaten they forgot to put the side salad on which i asked the staff about they had forgot to put it on.when i asked about it he brought a dish out which consisted of 2 cut up tomatoes and a few salad leaves bar staff very friendly but theres was one of the staff with a smelly aroma which put my daughter off her food it was that bad! over all we wont be going back

My wife and I visited The Gardener's Arms on the way back from a day off in Fleetwood. Great pub food. Big portions and a wide-ranging menu. Friendly service, too.

Called in at the gardeners arms for a spot of Sunday lunch, ordered the Sunday dinner half a chicken, when the food arrived it was reformed chicken steak, we told the waitress we had ordered half roast chicken, she apologised, and said the cook had done the wrong thing ?, we waited 15 minutes for our half roast chicken to arrive, but it was delicious, nice and crunchy, not pale like in some pubs, the veg was cooked, not hard, so will order that meal again, pity they got it wrong in the first place.

As locals, we visit the Gardeners Arms about once a fortnight - sometimes for breakfast and sometimes for lunch. We have found the food to be tasty and hot and the service from Russell, Sarah and the team is always fast and friendly. We have found the 2 meals for £7.50 to be really good value - there aren't many places around here where you can get x2 fish, chips and peas for that price. We've even had these as take aways!!

On an evening awaiting the Illuminations dropped in to the Gardeners which had plenty of parking available. Plenty of people were in the pub eating and drinking equally. The menu was typical pub food but none the worse for that. The restaurant had a little canteen feel about it but the order was taken and fairly quickly the food arrived. Steak with scampi and chicken which in fairness was quite nice, good portions and well cooked.

I went in here for the first time in a long time. It hasn't changed a great deal, but the new menu was good. I had a good value Burger with chips and a drink. Two Friends had similar and we spent less than £20. I get that there is cheap pub food and good pub food, but this was surprising for the price. Much better than you get from some competing chains.

Had sizzling plates - steak, chips, mixed grill etc. Quick service. Good food at a good price. Would certainly return.

Went the other night and found its now changed, very disappointed. Tried to set a tab up as we always have done, cant do that. One of us wanted half rice, half chips, cant do that as the rice comes in bags?
