Our first time for a few years , it has changed so much only came to look what is like now . We ordered a tea cake and two teas £9 . The tea cake soon arrived (quite large ) nicely toasted with lots of butter. Lots of people were eating breakfasts which we will try next time . The restaurant is massive against how small it used to be . We will definately be back .

Had afternoon tea with friends. I came here for Christmas afternoon tea in December and it was really nice. So came back with some other friends, for an early afternoon tea. We booked it for 1.30pm at about £13 per head. It was really good; lovely food and an endless pots of tea/coffee. Service was very good, even though they were 4 people understaffed. I will definitely be returning! I would recommend going. 😀🍰☕️🫖🧁

A group of 14 friends went for Christmas lunch and it was outstanding. The food was lovely, the Christmas menu had lots of choices and everything looked good. They had gone to some trouble to make the table settings look great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. This is the second year that the Red Hatters have been here for Christmas lunch and I’m sure we will be back. We would highly recommend it

I've used this restaurant twice with my young family and both times now we've bought the children's snack box, it's not a cheap option at £6.49. But every time the tiny sandwich that comes with it has been inedible, the bread is dry, no butter and the tiniest slice of ham, clearly not fresh.. (See photo) the cheese sandwich on the previous visit just as bad.. Very poor value, poor quality and stale..

Today I was taken here for lunch, by a very elderly couple. Two of us ordered fish and chips. One looked okay, but mine should never have left the kitchen. It was immediately obvious that there was almost no fish, as it was very, very thin. Grossly overcooked, when I gingerly cut into it, the rock-hard batter flew onto the table. I shovelled this back onto the plate, once I had rescued what I could. Under different circumstances, this plate would have been returned before even touching it. As their guest, I did not want to possibly embarrass them . Truly dreadful, chips overcooked to dark brown as well. Horrendous meal.
