Brilliant service from Aaron and a fantastic range of ice creams and selection of drinks. We got a hot chocolate, cappuccinos, and ice cream all of amazing quality. Loads of seating and sheltered outdoor seating was a lovely option. Would definitely come back.

We booked Gallone's for our son's birthday party and boy, they do not disappoint! Firstly, they were fully booked on our preferred date but went out of their way to arrange another slot to accomodate us. On the day, they handled everything! We hardly had to lift a finger. The kids had an amazing time. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, felt like we were among old friends.

We have visited Gallones quite a few times and love it. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Today my 8 year old had her birthday party there and I can't recommend it enough. The girls all had a brilliant time and Dawn was so amazing with them , it was excellent value for money and all the parents said how much the girls loved it .

During pandemic we would visit every weekend. We moved to milton keynes and occasionally still come back. The deserts are the best and generous. Great value for money and we love the hot drinks and venue. Martin and his young colleague are always friendly and remember us. Lovely place and customers always enioy it here. We look forward to our next visit.

Out for an afternoon walk and stopped for a cheeky hot chocolate with my daughter. At only £1 each for a lovely hot chocolate we had plenty of money left to buy a yummy slice of carrot cake each. £7 total for two hot chocolates and two slices of cake. What a bargain. There's many cafes in town where £7 would be the price of the drinks alone. The guys at the shop were very welcoming. Tucked away in the arcade indoor shopping lane it is not too noisy but still in the centre of town.

My family recently had a birthday party at home for my twin grandaughters birthdays. What can I say? From the first meeting to book the iconic "stop me and buy one ice cream cycle", the welcome was very inviting. The friendliness of Martin and Aaron was second to none. No detail of the booking was overlooked. We had every confidence that the girls party would be all the better for a delicious ice cream. We were not disappointed. If I could could give 10 stars I would. Thank you Martin does not seem to say enough. My family and I would have no hesitation in not only using your outdoor events service but coming in to enjoy the many varieties of delicious ice creams in your display. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I went in as my dad was getting a haircut next door. They service by both guys there was great and they were friendly and polite. I ordered Wimbledon mess and that was very nice.

I visited Gallones on Sat 5th Feb and bought 2 tubs 1l each in Flavours Pistachio and Caramel Chew. I just tasted and couldnt wait to write this review. Its so delicious that giving 5star doesnt do justice. The Parlour has a very traditional beautiful feel and the Owners hospitality is second to none. These people really know what icecream is! The flavours are just right not overpowering and the texture and taste beyond imagination. I cant wait for more! Ill be going to have their amazing icecreams soon to relish in the Parlour. Have been visiting here at least weekly since my friend introduced me to it telling me how much difference the staff made to her at a really tough time during Covid. It’s a friendly place to go where you can be sure of a warm welcome. Very kind, helpful staff who greet you by name, often with friendly banter, who listen and who soon remember your favourite drink & ask if that’s what you’d like. They wear masks & table service is the norm. When I feel fed up with things I make a bee-line for Gallone's and come out feeling much better.

We’ve been visiting here every week prior to shielding and can honestly say it is our favourite place when in Bedford for a delicious hot drink and amazing warm chocolate brownie. Martin and the team make you feel truly valued as loyal customers and has the ability to put everyone at ease and make them feel welcome. He is extremely patient and kind with all their customers. We’ve also had home delivery of some of the delicious ice creams. We can’t wait to return when life returns to a resemblance of normality.

Anyone that wants £1 coffee and the most amazing best ever brownies you have to come here. The staff are so friendly and will help you with anything u want and the manager is the nicest guy. He's always at front of house and makes the best brownies all gooey

My brother attended a birthday party at Gallones and had a lovely time! Will definitely be back in the future and also recommending this venue for other parties! Anna was exceptionally helpful with all the children and made the day so enjoyable!

An absolute favourite with us. Nothing is too much trouble. The prices are very reasonable and a great choice of flavours . If you fancy an ice cream in Bedford please support a lovely little shop rather than the more expensive chain desert shops it's worth it.

Fantastic 3rd birthday party for my daughter. Anna and Dawn were excellent at getting the children to listen to what to do with making the ice cream - dancing, playing games and organising the food, the cake and the party bags at the end. Once I had booked, Martin made everything hassle free with the food order and accommodated to dietary requirements with no fuss at all and even organised a large balloon at late notice with no stress. Completely stress free organisation with the opportunity for the parents to sit back and relax with a drink and ice cream whilst the kids were entertained :-)

I read a couple of negative reviews earlier, I would just like to say everyone is entitled to there own opinion but be assured the level of service you get in this premises is second to none and the ice cream is delightful, I have tried some of the other parlours but not in any of them have I ever felt so welcome, we have been back time and time again and will continue to do so because as locals we like to support our local community and on top of that my wife is addicted to the dessert I posted a picture of.Just in case anyone’s interested gallones can now be ordered through just eat which again is a good service to offer.

Extremely repugnant, it’s against my own levels of self-decency. came here for a quick dessert with the mates. remember chewing gum, to remove the awful taste of powdery chocolate from your pallet. other than that it was a blast fyi - they didn’t even give the right order.

We've been here a couple of times now and both times the service has been great. The staff are so friendly and helpful, making you feel very welcome.We would chose to come here over any other local ice cream parlours just because of how we were made to feel.

I took my Scouts here for an evening event. They learnt all about the history of ice cream and how it is made. They mixed up their own batch of ice cream. While it was mixing and freezing they played games in the arcade which is closed to the public in the evening- so very safe.They enjoyed the ice cream tasting and pie-face.Great evening - Thanks

We visited recently for my daughters 6th birthday party - the parlour also specialises in parties where you can make your own ice cream - and it was fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is coordinated really well. So relaxing for parents!! Would recommend to anyone.

They were very quick to accommodate my lactose-intolerant daughter, and explained (unprompted) where their ingredients were sourced from, and what options they are hoping to produce in the future. Brilliant service, and very knowledgeable about ice cream!

While visiting Bedford I thought I whould treat my wife to a special treat perhaps some Whippy Icecream the ouside of the shop looked interesting and clean, but on entering the shop there was not muchactivity going on, we stood at the counter for what seemed an age, listening to this woman having a verry detailed personal coversaton we were totally ignored we asked to be served and we were told there's no Whippy icecream the machine is broken .. We won't be back ..

We visited Gallones yesterday at lunch time, weather was hot and we just wanted to get away from the heat and the hustle and bustle of the town centre, we had never been here before but had heard some good things about it from friends, so we popped in, from start to finish we were made so welcome, Martin who we now know to be the owner is a lovely guy, he couldn’t have been more helpful to us, he gave us his time which I’m afraid you just don’t get in other places he was happy to say hello and chat to us, make us feel welcome, he let me try numerous ice creams before deciding what we wanted, we had banana, chocolate brownie and hazelnut topped with nuts sauce little smarties and a big dollop of cream it was a taste sensation.I would 100 percent recommend and we will go back very soonThanks Martin your a Star

We took our daughter here and she loved it , there looked a good range at reasonable prices, only downside was 1 toilet for everyone .

I have visited Gallones a few times now and although the amazing desserts should be praised, I have to say that the customer service I have received from all the staff had always been second to none! Very friendly team, very clean place and delicious desserts at reasonable prices!

Bedford seems to have had an influx of ice cream parlours over the last couple of years and while walking through the arcade I thought I'd stop in. There is a lot of choice and it all looks very nice and the lady working there was very friendly even if the two teenagers working there looked completely disinterested.

Visited Saturday, customer service is always outstanding. It was so hard to choose which of the 32 flavours to go for. We got to sample the Cherry Burgundy which was amazing. The mint choc chip and Sticky Toffee are my all time favourites 🍦

We called in for ice cream and coffee. We had a banana split and waffles and ice cream. Plenty of options to make your ice cream dessert as you would like it.There were two waffles with the waffle dessert and very tasty. Banana split with vanilla ice cream good. Good coffee too.

Portion size is tiny compared to other dessert places Staff are rude and don't seem to know what they are doing. Average. Won't be back

My son celebrated his 6th birthday at Gallones yesterday. He and his friends had a great time and really enjoyed making their own ice cream and all the party games. The staff were so friendly and helpful and put a lot of effort into making the party special.

Just had the most amazing waffle with vanilla ice cream, biscuit ice cream chocolate sauce and fresh cream. With gingerbread hot chocolate. Actually had two hot chocolate it was so good. Yes it’s December but try the hot chocolate. Back again soon

Had a birthday party, in the party room upstairs, for 12 kids. Great party host who kept the kids engaged from beginning to end, the kids had a blast and loved the Willy Wonka like Ice cream factory room

Really big portion and absolutely delicious. The guy serving us was really helpful and friendly. And we got 10percent off because it was a tuesday! Will definitely be back

Visited with my two daughters today. Service was excellent and the manager was very friendly. Ice cream was great quality and huge. Had a latte which was nice and the girls really enjoyed their ice cream. What was surprising was the price. Great value which would have been stupid cost in some other places. Well defo visit again!

Tasty and light ice cream, pistachio flavour was just flavouring not actual nuts, quite expensive but for two scoops you get a lot

WOW! What a fantastic party venue for all! We had my Daughters 8th birthday party here on Saturday, I literally turned up with 10 children and a cake and the rest was catered for! I even sat downstairs and had an ice-cream while the party was going on. The children were thoroughly engrossed for two hours it was fantastic. Dawn our party host handled everything she even set the cake up and took the pictures of us. I cannot recommend Dawn or this venue enough. What a Fun, Stress free, relaxing party it was. My Daughter was made to feel very special. What great value. Thank you guys!

2 scoops of ice cream with a teaspoon of sprinkles £3.95! To be fair cream was offered but the girls declined it. But even with a squirt of cream still ridiculously expensive. The ice cream had a good flavour and lovely texture.

My children are on half term and going round bedford town centre we came across gallones ice cream parlour. Of course I could not go past without my kids wanting to go in. The staff were very friendly and polite and let us know when they would be with us while serving other customers, which was fine as it gave my two a chance to decide which ice cream they wanted. They had a good selection to choose from and when we were served the scoop was cleaned every time time before another scoop was taken. We had waffle cones with scoops in but there was a menu to choose from so I am assuming they do alot more than just ice cream in cones. The price was reasonable to for the amount they got in the cone. We sat inside while eating and the tables and seats were very clean everywhere you looked. I would rate this very high for everything will be visiting again while passing through town or another half term treat.

Across Bedford we seem to be getting more "dessert bars", this is the only one worth visiting. The ice cream is brilliant and made locally. They serve nice coffee and other desert options. They also offer links to local schools.

So today my daughter celebrated her 6th birthday at Gallones Bedford...we weren't disappointed! Kat, our party host, was fabulous with the children.

My daughter and her best friend had a joint party at Gallones Ice Cream Parlour and they loved it. All the staff are really accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Dawn who lead the party was brilliant. All the kids had a great time learning how to make ice cream and creating their own flavour. They had pizza option as their food which was great. Their creation of ice cream was their pudding with lots of added treats on top! We had some very happy excited children by the end of it...I would definitely recommend a party at Gallones.

This was an amazing location for my son's birthday party something different and staff so helpful and lovely. Very reasonable prices too :) I could not recommend this place more brilliant time had by all even the parents not in the party room :) Dawn was wonderful too keeping 8 kids all occupied and enjoying themselves. I could not finish without mentioning how Amazing their ice cream milkshakes are I had two and will be going back again for more :)

My husband and I stumbled on this place as we were wandering around Bedford, what a find. Vast range of ice cream to choose from, excellent prices and extremely good customer service! Definitely recommend the banana ice cream! Will be back for sure.

I went to the ice cream parlour with my friend and the atmosphere and service was brilliant. The staff were very pleasant and served good portions. We sat in the parlour and it was like going back in time ... very vintage

I order a monster shake, which was suppose to have brownie and oreos, I only recibe one oreo in the top of the shake, nothing similar to the photo... As well my boyfriend order other and it don´t have the same things that suppose to have following the photo and the description of the monster shake.

While vacationing in Bedford, my wife and I decided to have an ice cream and, although skeptical on the chance to have a proper one in England (we are both Italian) decided to have a try at Gallone's, because of its very Italian name. We were served by a very English looking and quite courteous man, who answered my wife's questions about the composition of the ice cream served there (she cannot eat food including eggs). Finally we both had pistachio and a particular kind of chocolate that was eggless. Let us be honest: the ice cream was not up to the best artisan products available in Italy, but was surprisingly good. Indeed we had not expected to find such a good ice cream in England. I also took an expresso coffee that, although not strong enough for my Italian taste, was more than acceptable. As I was curious, I asked the kind man in charge of the place how was it that the place had an Italian name, whereas he did not look Italian at all. He told us about the history of the Gallone family, and what the Gallone enterprise is today in UK. It was nice to know about it. We thoroughly enjoyed both our ice cream and our stay at Gallone's (the place, by the way, is pleasant). And I want to thank both the kind person in charge of the place and his wife (who was helping him) for their kindness.

Just waked into the new ice cream parlour in Bedford and my daughter said can we go to Gallone's and l am so glad we did. Friendly service, helpful and relaxed. Nothing was any trouble. Good value for money and a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I won't bother going anywhere else next time.

Went to Gallones for my daughters party today, ABSOLUTELY recommend having a party here, the staff are friendly and helpful, ensuring everything is just right, the children were enthralled with the making of the ice cream, and utterly entertained for the entire 2 hours with the variety of activities.

Amazing icecream that tastes like the flavours they should be, my son said the lemon sorbet was the best he's ever eaten and he's eaten a lot of lemon sorbet.

As a young boy in Northampton, I always used to enjoy Gallone's Ice Cream. This is different, with a huge variety of flavours and ways to serve them. We have also enjoyed their milk shakes. The staff are always helpful and informative and the Manager was able to explain why the flavour of the ice cream differed from what I remembered from my youth. It was due to those ice creams being made on the day, for that day. This didn't spoil the experience at all as the modern ice creams have so many new flavours. Our family have made several visits and enjoyed each one.

I cannot speak any more highly about the deserts at Gallone's or the staff that serve it.

After a nice lunch at el Picante Mexican a short stroll away and great way to cool down ones palatte is Ice Cream !!! Great range on offer - great quality. Whilst there we booked our granddaughter's birthday party in this Ice Cream parlour.

Decided to book a birthday party for my 6 year old daughter and her friends based on a recommendation from someone else, and we were CERTAINLY not disappointed!! She has not stopped talking about it since she's been home and has told everyone it is the 'BEST BIRTHDAY PARTY EVER!!'. Lots of lovely texts off her friends parents who said the same and their children have been so proud of the pot of ice-cream that they made themselves! Educational as well as lots of fun, what more could you ask for!! Even my 3 year old son with a very short attention span was completely captivated during the party and the party leader Dawn completely included him along with all the other children as well as making a real effort to learn and use all the children's names without he need for name labels. A very lovely lady! Party games pitched to the right age, delicious food for the kids (and plenty of it!), designing their own ice cream sundaes for pudding and also making their own delicious ice cream that each child then gets to take a big pot home of (that they also get to go to a wall of Charlie's-chocolate-factory-style sweets to top it all off!) Thank you all for making her birthday really memorable!!

My 9year old granddaughter had her birthday party here today which was brilliant. Very well organised with plenty of activities, good food and of course ice cream making! Much fun was had by all and this was an excellent party for 8/9 year olds. Dawn who ran the party is a star, endless patience and very good at keeping the girls entertained. The highlight was making their own ice cream and choosing the ice cream combinations for their sundaes. Very welcoming parlour with great coffee and an endless choice of ice cream. Would recommend for great children's parties.

Lucky because I won a voucher for this place in a raffle. Decided to take our 4 children as part of a day of fun on number 3's 8th birthday. Although in my home town I was surprisingly unaware of this place until now. We had a great 45 minutes there. Lovely friendly atmosphere and amazing ice creams. Four very happy children. The ambiance is nice and the service was excellent and very friendly which made the experience all the more memorable

Visited on a Friday evening. Closed at 6pm but had just finished a private party, welcomed us in made us feel very welcome excellent desserts and a wide selection of ice creams very tasty. Tucked away in the arcade in Bedford a great find, definitely worth a visit.

Very expensive, charged £3.95 for 2 scoops of sorbet! My friend was charged a lot less £2.95 for a 3 scoop milkshake. When I questioned the pricing, the staff member just shrugged his shoulders. The pricing wasn't clear. I asked for a refund and was told I couldn't have one as manager was not present and I would have to wait for him to return. Waited 10 minutes and no sign of manager so eventually I just gave up. Will not be going back again. Sorbet not great, tasted a lot better from a supermarket! I can get 2 tubs of Sorbet for £3.95 from Aldi (much better) rather than 2 scoops from here. Avoid.

Excellent range of very nice ice creams ... not the cheapest, but certainly very nice. Staff were very attentive as well. Also do nice coffee at a very reasonable price! Will certainly go back and have some more of their ice creams.

Myself and my fiancee took a trip to Bedford on our day off for some lunch and shopping when we stumbled into this little gem. We went straight there after our lunch and had a crepe each which were made exactly to our liking. Food was delicious and the service is excellent, I've recommended this place to my friends and family and will definitely be visiting again!

Appalling service! We booked this venue for our son's 6th birthday 2 months in advance. 3 weeks before, they called to ask if we could change the time as they had 'double booked.' When we said no, they didn't reply to our messages for 2 weeks and then 1 week before the party said they had to cancel as they had double booked and the other party had booked before us...! We know this was untrue, as we were the only date in their diary when we booked. Cue one very disappointed boy and 14 disappointed friends. I can't comment on their ice cream but their lack of professionalism is appalling!

Great place nice location, nicely designed. Food was great had the crepe very filling. Milkshakes are also yummy well worth a visit.

We booked upstairs party room for son's 8th birthday. There was one lady who unsuccessufully tried to engage kids. Garlic bread was served cold. Parents stayed in pre party room, noone has cleaned our tables within whole party, we washed cups and tea spoons ourselves. It was freezing cold as well. The idea itself is good one, but they need better trained staff and look after guests and premises more. Kids at the end liked the party (guess they liked each other more than ice cream party)' thats why i gave two stars.

The staff are very nice and friendly I have to say but the choice of ice-cream flavours strange. They should offer some traditional flavours if they are a parlour. Three of the group wanted mint choc chip or plain chocolate. There was no mint choc chip or plain chocolate. There was a rocky road type chocolate but the group wanted just plain chocolate without the biscuit in. We were just told they didn't have that (in a parlour?!) Find it odd that there appeared to be mint choc chip in the freezer behind the cabinet for sale but were not offered that, just told out of it. We won't be back. Not everyone wants the novelty flavours!

This Ice Cream Parlour really is a hidden gem!!! So whether you want delicious ice cream with so much choice on offer in the form of Sundaes, Waffle or Pancakes or just a plain old cone, or if you fancy a coffee and mini pastry or a milkshake made with ice cream, Gallones is the place to go!! The staff are very professional, polite and extremely helpful, with wonderful recommendations if you struggle to decide on what to try.
