Had a lovely delicious Sunday dinner here. The food was perfect.♥️ Staff were friendly and very welcoming One of the nicest pubs in Bedford. Will definitely be going back again.. Thankyou

Sunday lunch at it best ,well presented, lovely roasties,meat cook to perfection, seasonal veg,one of the best cauliflower cheese I've had , Yorkshire pudding,gravy ,Mel and her team,,service with a smile ,great atmosphere,great selection of drinks,if your looking for a traditional pub roast dinner look no further

Absolutely beautiful pub. Love the abundance of fuchsias and other flowers, so great to see so much Bee activity. Great service and Absolutely wonderful atmosphere. Reasonable pricing and lots of great events coming up. I went in by myself and was worried at first, but the welcoming bar lady and amazing regulars put me at ease. Thank you so much. Would love to come for food one day.

Dog friendly, live music, lovely staff, Stella Artois on tap and very good wine - can't ask for much more!!! Flowerpot also has a lovely rear garden with booths.

Quiet when I went in and didn't try the food although menu looked good. Dog friendly which I like. Beer garden, clean and well presented bar. What's not to like! Obviously been a pub a long time. I will be back

Never have I walked into a pub with the bar staff starring at me asking what I want. Even before I've found a place to sit. It was weird. Just let me sit and then I'll come up and get a drink. Beer weak too. X

We didn't eat here, but arranged to meet here first. The atmosphere was amazing, and the bar staff were brilliant. I had two pints of London Pride, and my friend had neck oil, IPA. I have to say it was the best served pint I've had in a long while. Will definitely return. The atmosphere was smashing with the live music. This pub is a credit to those who work there, clean and tidy too.

We had 3 roast dinners all cooked perfect and tasted lovely, amazing roast potatoes too, and the desserts were lovely in particular the sticky toffee pudding, staff were very friendly and helpful, definitely worth going and will be going back soon.

Lovely clean and friendly pub with a good selection of ales, we only popped in for a quick drink. However, we will be back for food as what was being served looked lovely.

Great local - local! I was in here with a few friends, 8 of us in total for a pre-curry drink.. Our host was super engaging, fun and friendly and the beer was well kept, a thoroughly enjoyable visit to what I would call a traditional local pub.

I just want to say I didn’t try the food so I can’t speak on that. I have never been so disappointed. The staff are horrendously rude and I note the pub is covered with pictures mocking children and the treatment of children which seems to be in line with what others have said here and how my friend’s child was treated when we visited. It’s not a joke when you are actively treating those individuals badly. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in all of my life, I certainly won’t be putting myself or others in such a position again. Truly awful.

Well done to the flowerpot team last night 01.07.2023 on an exceptionally busy night. Gearing their customer service to attend to the many not the timewasting demands of a minority 2..

We attended for a birthday party with our kids 3 boys, we were told they will make an exception and they'll allow the kids there till 8 if they stayed outside as its a private function, luckily the weather was fine otherwise we would have had to leave there and then. The kids were outside playing tag, not causing any issue when they were told to stop running around. When confronted the staff advised incase they break a glass? Despite their mum playing and monitoring the play at the time.. Goodness knows how any family friendly pub runs. This was meant to be a lovely family evening out for a good friend's birthday but because of the staff, we felt very uncomfortable and un- welcome, so we left early. If you have kids don't bother you be be made to feel like you're a nuisance. This is a place that I will never enter again, and I will advise others of our really upsetting and uncomfortable experience. Understand if you don't allow children, but you do. Please don't pretend you're doing anyone a favour by extending the hours children are allowed to be within the pub if those extended hours are sitting in a seat in silence. I don't live by the rule that children should be seen and not heard and I'd rather have been told if you are! If you were to discriminate against any other demographic you would be taken to court, I never expect to be spoken down to for having children and I do not expect my young children to be spoken down to for simply being young children.

It breaks my heart as I have a few great memories from Flower Pot and lots of my friends would go there. Love the live music but the service is getting consistently appalling. It's not the first time that the lady behind the bar made me cringe but tonight she's been super rude to two of my friends. Both well behaved and not drunk. 1) refused to serve a drink because it's two much hassle and " if other people would see it everyone would want one", "you should have asked for the beer first before other drinks" and being generally seriously abrupt! It seems customers are a nuisance and should not bother the bar stuff. Don't get me wrong, I used to work behind the bar, I know it's hard and I have lots of respect but at the same time I cannot accept a poor service and "can't be bothered" attitude because it's not how it works. So so sad. I will be avoiding Flower Pot.

Very nice place, clean, well decorated with friendly staff and good drinks. We stoped just for some drinks in the patio to recover some energy after our travel to the town but we enjoyed the athmosphere.

Known this pub many years, just recently returned to Bedford and dropped in for a pint with some friends. Lucky for us live band, atmosphere rocks and staff always upbeat. Some good beers on tap.

Fantastic pub in Bedford. Saw a great band recently playing some cool tunes. Great beer served by friendly staff. Nice garden at the back to have a cool drink.

The service was good.Pleasant and attentive. The meal was no better than average.

We stopped today for a quick lunch to come away experiencing one of the best lunches we’ve had all year! The food was piping hot and very tasty (nacho cheese sauce - yum!) and the lady behind the bar had immaculate costumer service, would recommend this pub to anyone (lovely decor!) especially dog owners - Minnie had a chicken breast, water and offers of treats from the bar! Will definitely return - thank you

Nice English pub.lagers and ye old ales and some cooked foods . Choose a quiet time ,small inside.

One of the best pubs in Bedford

Absolutely lush roast, also their Christmas platter is banging. Great open mic, good selection of drinks and lovely staff. We’ve not long moved to Bedford but this place is firmly one of our favourites.

Our first time there and we only had a drink, but I liked the thoughtful and engaging way the staff had. The place was tidy and clean, and seemed even homely and just very welcoming!

Great atmosphere, good crowd - never any drama. They do amazing and affordably priced food too - the beef pie is the best I’ve had in years. Definitely recommend 👍🏻

Great live music pub. Good beer, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. New winter menu, looks fantastic, also Xmas party menu is available. Kitchen open Wednesday to Saturday and Sunday roasts etc.

This pub will always have a place in my heart. It's possibly the best pub in Bedford town to go to for live music - even if I am slightly biased, as I am one such musician you may find performing in there! The refurbishment was long-awaited and it has succeeded in adding an air of sophistication, which elevates the overall experience. The kitchen as also now opened, and I can recommend the lasagne, it is outstanding. The staff also never serve you without a warm greeting and an omnipresent smile. See you at the bar!

Although some parts of the interior are a little basic this is a lovely pub for a drink and has a really nice friendly vibe. There’s frequent events and live music and the staff are all welcoming with the whole place being clean. Certainly somewhere I would recommend visiting if you looking for both a relaxing drink or a fun night out.

First time visit to this nice pub for socialising with friends. Very friendly n cool staff. Love the atmosphere. Nice beer garden at the back. There’s live music as well. Even though not much variety they r offering for drinks but hay still we had good time n I really like this place.

The refurb is amazing! Gorgeous pub with great outside spaces and friendly staff. Jam night on Thursdays and Band night on Saturdays are always good fun. One of my favourite Bedford pubs!

Friendly, good atmosphere, Thursday night is open mic night for any age with talent, the mic host gives it energy and life.

Not been here for a long time, came in for a quick drink and wow how amazing the refurb looks, two ladies behind the bar were delightful so helpful, will definitely be part of my regular Friday night treat. Thank you ☺️

Nice little pub, had to do track trace. Bar person showed us are table explained how we could order drinks. Had to wear a mask when walking around the pub. You can't buy drinks at the bar. We had nachos and cheese dip. A good selection of beers.
