The food was good and the restaurant has good vibes

Was treated to a delicious lunch by my colleague/friends and thoroughly enjoyed the meal, atmosphere and service. Highly recommend the place great fusion menu you won't be disappointed

Oh dear. Miserable staff. Overpriced (microwaved?) food and unfriendly dining experience. I visited yesterday lunchtime with a friend and ordered starters of Thai Fish Cakes. They had very little taste and their consistency suggested that they had been microwaved. Unattractive and unappetising. Main course of Chicken with Cashew Nuts. “From the Wok”. Well, I don’t know when the chicken had seen a wok but my friend and I both commented that they seemed reheated and, like the first course, was tasteless. £86 later… we left and won’t return. The ‘batter’ was lukewarm and lacked any crispness. I seriously doubt it was freshly cooked. The attitude of the staff - barman; waitress (with black framed glasses) and the waitress who took our orders - was really poor. No feeling of being made to feel welcome or valued customers. Every interaction was met with a scowl or a grunt. If you’re considering a visit - I would think again. Overpriced, poor quality food and staff who clearly didn’t give a damn about the experience of the customers.

The food here is of the highest level and if you love Thai food it's a must. The staff are always lovely and highly accommodating to our needs, and the lady that always serves us is lovely. Set in the grounds of Ramside Hall the restaurant is beautifully designed and decorated and is located next to the spa.

Great pan-Asian food, high quality and a wide variety. We were a large group (27) and all food was served at pretty much the same time. Only downside - lighting wasn't great and it was a little bit dark. Otherwise I can definitely recommend

Staff are INCREDIBLY rude and unprofessional. They made fun and laughed at my young daughter for simply pronouncing a word wrong when ordering. They got the chef out of the kitchen and got her to tell him what she was ordering so he could also laugh at her. It made her feel very uncomfortable and self conscious. Do not visit here.

Visited for weekday lunch. Service was good. I had a pork starter and beef main course. The starter was okay. The beef was tough and chewy and served with an overpowering sauce. Overall, the meal was average which was a shame because I had high expectations.

A couple of points - firstly this is not a cheap restaurant and secondly it's primary function is to cater for hotel guests and spa users, not casual diners. I booked at least two weeks in advance and requested a table for five people. Upon arrival we were shown to a very large round table in the corner, the size of which could have easily accommodated eight possible ten people at a push, not conducive to conversational dining and exacerbated by noisey acoustics and droning background music which would have been better suited to a Chapel of Rest. NOW TO THE FOOD - I started with hot and sour chicken soup, I say soup as not once in my seventy years have I been served soup that can only been eaten with a knife and fork - a few large chunks of chicken and some whole button mushrooms in what seemed to be a bowl of slightly spicy stock. Needless to say it went back and to be fair I wasn't charged for it, although I suspect it didn't go to waste as my main course had chicken and mushrooms in it 'say n'more'. The other four starter ranged from just ok to very nice in my wife's case, she had the Pork rib. I won't go into minute detail on the mains, save to say that one was Sea Bass so doesn't count but the other four were quite frankly nothing more than food I could knock up myself with a few vegetables, a chicken breast and bottle or sachet of sweet & sour, teriyaki or black been sauce. Don't get me wrong, the food was quite passable, just not worth twenty quid a pop for a main course. Staff were very friendly and pleasant but seemed a bit thin on the ground and not very attentive. Drinks at a bit over six pounds for a pint of never seen before Lager is only to be expected.

Visited this restaurant whilst staying for a 2 night stay in at Ramside as an early 50th birthday present. Love Thai/asian food so so had been looking forward to this on the 2nd night of our stay. Well dont know where to start we were seated facing the kitchen door and next to a fire exit....and access to spa...this was a thoroughfare for all the staff from the pool...emptying bins. . filling up water jugs...and coming and going.....as well as those is sweaty gym gear in shorts going to the gym through the restaurant....! There were work men using this exit too....did not feel at all special for my birthday treat.....felt like a swimming pool cafe not a restaurant. There was also a big screen with football on ...not the ambience i expected for an evening restaurant! Ordered starters of satay chicken and fishcakes.. just ok....mains of padthai and black bean beef...both awful. The beef was cold...and the noodles hot..but sticky like they had been reheated... Expensive meal for really dreaful food. We did speak to the manager to raise concerns....he did offer us complementary drinks.. (bottle of fizz and a pint)but said the restaurant was a spa and the thoroughfare was to be expected....bit seemed surprised by staff in and out! Will not return to either the hotel or restaurant...there are better places for both food and accomodation. Really dissapointed.

Waiting 15 minutes before drinks an hour for starters and another 30 minutes for main not good. Had to go to bar to get second round of drinks. Squid starter like rubber and beef main very chewy. Zen in Durham a much better option

Visited or my daughters birthday. Arrived and were seated had to wait a bit for drinks which didn’t auger well. Waited another 10-15 minutes before order taken . A full hour before starters, apology prawn crackers just before they arrived. Squid like rubber bands wife and daughter happy. Main course another thirty minutes. People who had come in after us served food well before us. Main course beef and black bean also very chewy (chef on a roll) bill came and told we wouldn’t be charged for the complementary prawn crackers 😂. Won’t be back Zen in Durham much better food and service.

My recent visit to Fusion restaurant left me with mixed feelings.The restaurant aimed to create a relaxing environment, but the loud conversations emanating from the kitchen and among the waiting staff created a contrasting atmosphere. While I personally didn't mind the hustle and bustle, a livelier music selection could have enhanced the overall ambience. In terms of decoration, Fusion restaurant adopts a fairly modern style. However, a visit to the bathroom revealed a subpar tiling job with sharp and uneven edges, posing potential safety hazards. The loose, thick and unattractive silicon job around the sinks left me questioning the detail in the restaurant ' s maintenance. Initially planning to only enjoy a cup of coffe, hunger prompted me to peruse the menu and order a bento with noodles, beef,prawn salad,fried prawns and duck spring rolls. Unfortunately, these failed to leave a lasting impression. The sauces played a crucial role, salvaging the tasteless prawn salad and somewhat rubbery beef. The fried prawns, dipped in chilli sauce( my preference over the provided mayo) were decent, while spring rolls was good but slightly dry. The real disappointment came with the noodles, which had an off putting, moldy taste. For a restaurant boasting a 2 aa rosette rating, I expected a better service approach. No one enquired about the food, dessert options or offered a greeting. Despite the presence of several staff members, they seemed preoccupied with preparation or appeared disoriented. While acknowledging that experiences can vary, my first visit to Fusion left e fairly disappointed. I may give it another chance, hoping that my initial encounter was just an exception. For now, however, the overall experience fell short of expectations.

Visited Ramside Hall today for lunch. When we arrived, we discovered major refurbishments taking place. A workman directed us to Fusion restaurant nearby. Our initial ‘welcome’ was less than friendly unfortunately. Lady with glasses. Once we were seated, I had a question about something on the menu. I was speaking with the young lady behind the bar when the lady with the glasses came over and rudely interrupted our conversation without apology, telling the barmaid that she needed something doing. The barmaid and I were surprised by her rudeness. Anyway, food was good quality but expensive. Too many people wandering around with loose robes for my liking. The robes have belts for a reason for goodness sake. We won’t be back.

This was our first visit to Fusion. Food was good staff very friendly. I reserved a table for two for my wifes birthday. After seeing the photo on line of the restaurant, you can imagine my surprise when we were guided to a table under a TV and in an area full of people who obviously had been to the gym or work, dressed mainly in track suits and trainers ... looking very casual and relaxed ... some quite vocal. Unfortunately, we were dressed for an occasion and felt rather out of place. It was only when we queried the photo to a member of staff that we were told there was another area at the side... which was the picture online and was what we were expecting rather than next to the bar. It was too late to ask to be moved as we had started our meal. It won't stop us coming again, but it would have been nice if we were given the option as to where we could sit ... maybe when I booked ... or told sports attire was the dress code ... not such a good look in your 70's.

Quality of food was absolutely excellent, included in the spa deal alongside Ramside Hall. Honey maple tofu from the vegan menu was absolutely fantastic. Only room for improvements was based on the service - had to go to the bar to be served and pay our bill after waiting a lengthy time at our table. Fortunately we also looked online ahead of our visit so knew there was a vegan menu to ask for, however this was not given to us!

Went for a meal here and was very disappointed. Wanted to try some starters and asked if the vegetarian food was cooked in separate oil to the meats and was told that it's not. I'm so glad that I asked or else I would've ate food that was advertised on the menu as vegetarian but it wasn't. Don't know how they can sell something as vegetarian and cook it in oil that is cooked with meat. I then asked if it's possible to cook it in separate oil and they said no!

We were staying and came a couple of times. We sat once in the restaurant area and once in the bar - both were comfortable. The food here is nicely flavoured and presented and the service is good but it is slightly overpriced. I was a little disappointed by my cocktail which was very alcoholic but sickly sweet and I had a glass of what was supposed to be dry Prosecco but again it was on the sweet side.

Great restaurant linked to the Spa at Ramside Hall Hotel. The Asian afternoon tea experience as part of a couples spa day is highly recommended. Specie mention to Dao who as well as being an excellent and attentive host in the restaurant, resolved a minor issue that came up promptly and with excellent customer service. She is a credit to credit to the organisation.

Stayed the night at Ramside Spa Hotel to celebrate our daughter's 18th Birthday and decided to book to have dinner at Fusion. We sat near the screen that looks out onto the spa which was a bit strange. You would have thought this would be blocked out so you are not watching people swimming etc. Anyway, the rest of the decor was really nice. We asked for the prawn crackers , chicken satay, sushi, cantonese chicken, beef and ginger, ramen noodles and battered prawns. We had to ask for the crackers to be changed as they just didn't taste right. We couldn't figure out whether they were just old, or if it was the oil they had been cooked in because the second batch that came out were just as bad. The beef and ginger wasn't very pleasant, the cantonese chicken was good. Everything else was ok. For the bill, £130ish (4 of us) it just felt a bit expensive for the quality of the food. Next time we stay at Ramside I think we will stick to the Rib room restaurant. The staff were all friendly that we encountrered.

Bento box delicious really really good prawn crackers with an, i think sweet chilli sauce. Wine very nice too and ice cold water for the table. Very quick service and food piping hot. Asked for the aircon to be turned on/up as the the heat was unbearable, unfortunately they couldn’t accommodate (said it was broken). Asked for the dessert menu but sat waiting so long we decided to leave due to the stifling heat in the restaurant. Very good food but not sure I would return.

We were happy to be seated without a reservation. The starters were good - chicken skewers and crispy peking duck. The main courses were underwhelming for the price.

I had the noodles with prawns and it was completely tasteless with about 3 prawns. Very overpriced at £20! I've had better pot noodles.

No Asian restaurant worth their salt should be serving dim sum like this. Torn, thick underdone dumpling pastry and overpriced. I’ve spoken to staff about this the first time it happened. Yet weeks later nothing has changed. This poorly served dish cost over £10. When I spoke to staff about this it was shrugged off. Do better! The people of the north east deserve better than this. Demand better dim sum!!

Best Asian food I've had in the UK.

Delicious food and welcoming, friendly staff. You'll definitely enjoy your meal here. The interior decor is fantastic as well.

We had booked the restaurant for a party of approx. 14+ and Fusion did not disappoint. We were welcomed by the team upon arrival and the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. Holly Robson, Jess Burns, Charlotte Pattinson and Leah Durry attended and catered to all of our requirements, the ladies went above and beyond whilst dealing with all 14+ individual requirements. The staff are a credit to the hotel and restaurant and can not wait to come back.

Waited a while for lunch and breakfast to be seated and seen to by staff. However once the ball gets rolling it's a 5* experience.

Me and my partner visited the restaurant after being giving the surf/turf and bottle of wine voucher as a gift. When we arrived we ordered a pint of cider each which cost £5.80 a pint which was quite expensive but it was a nice pint. We had a table for two reserved and we’re told the voucher entitled us to anything on the menu upto £90. The surf/turf meal plus bottle of wine would of came to over £100 so wanted to order that but we were told we would of had to pay extra as prices have gone up since voucher was issued, so they would not match the deal, which we did not agree with but did not want to complain. In the end we had about 4 pints each and a very enjoyable main meal which was black bean sauce for myself with sweet potato wedges and for my partner noodles,rice and French fries. All of the mains were delicious. For desserts we ordered the 6 mini deserts and all were very nice. All in all we had to put about £20 to the voucher which we did not mind as we thought we were going to have to pay for drinks away where. Not our normal establishment we go to as little more on the expensive side but the food was great and if you have the money worth a visit.

As a member of the spa, Myself and my husband eat in the Fusion restaurant regularly. The food is excellent each and every time and we always enjoy the relaxed atmosphere here too. We would like to give a special mention to Sarah Rutherford who in our opinion is an absolute diamond. Sarah always goes above and beyond to provide the most impeccable level of service. From always greeting you with a smile (no matter how busy she is) to remembering exactly how you like your perfect cocktail made, Sarah never fails to make our time here wonderful and she is an absolute credit to the team.

A really disappointing dinner, especially for the price. The service was pretty terrible, everything felt rushed and like they didn't really care if we were there. No one came to check on us once and they were just fairly unfriendly. The menu is a bit misleading, Vietnamese spring rolls come deep fried, which I've never seen, and there was no warning about just how spicy my curry was going to be. I'm OK with spice and it was inedible. Only my wife's main course saves a star, as the seabass was tasty.

The food is really bad here have been 3 times and each time was terrible. Servers are nice and the food comes out fast but the meat is so fatty and chewy. The dim sum is a mess too. Everything just tasted really fatty, too sweet and not the type of fresh tasty asian food you’d want on a spa package!

We are staying at the Ramside Hall and as previously have eaten in this restaurant. My wife had a mild Thai curry and I like something spicy so had a red curry but asked them to make it more spicy so I could enjoy a more authentic experience. They didn't disappoint and the curry was delicious, very hot but not ridiculously so. We also had their cocktails, mine promised 'a happy Thai experience ' so I was a bit confused about what to expect but it was delicious. We had coffees as well which were nice. The staff are very friendly and efficient and the restaurant is very comfortable. It isn't cheap though but you are getting good sized portions and very nice quality.

Tasty food, had 2 course meal as par of spa package. Good cocktail choices.

Staying in the beautiful TreeHouses at Ramside, we chose the takeaway option for Fusion restaurant. Prawn & Mango Bang Bang salad was essentially a bag of small prawns mixed with a bag of lettuce , a few pieces of mango and a very watery sauce. Not worth the £19.50 charged. The Hot & Sour Tom Yum soup was appalling. Was as if it was a dissolved stock cube , some whole mushrooms , two cherry tomatoes & a couple of pieces of chicken….outrageous that this can be sold at £7.50! Won’t revisit the restaurant

Visited 26 September for Dinner with my wife and thoroughly enjoyed the meal, with great service. The staff were young, but very enthusiastic. Unfortunately, the night was slightly spoilt, whilst eating a very nice fillet steak, when on several occasions, a visitor to the spa wandered into the restaurant, to the bar wearing only a bathrobe unfastened, showing off a well tanned belly!!! Some might see it as a bonus, not me. Sign of the times maybe?

Twilight spa evening, rubbish meal.

The food itself is actually really nice but the service and atmosphere completely ruins it. We came as we were at the spa and had afternoon tea and it was literally the worst dining experience I have ever had. Dinner and brunch was better but...

Food was good but let down by the fact that our table was beside really sweaty diners in a bare feet and bathrobes. Asked to move tables and was refused. Can't be hygienic!!

Came her for dinner was amazing. We were met by a very friendly host to take us to our table, sat us down and explained the menu package we were on. The waitress service was excellent from taking the orders to bringing the food out...

Horrendous service as usual 😂😂 it’s beyond a joke at this point, as a member of ramside for years I keep trying to give the place another go but yep… third time I’ve walked out! And the manager never seems to reply or be remotely...

I think I am wasting my time here as many bad reviews not acknowledged or responded to but here goes …… One of our favourite restaurants but not patronised for a while for a variety of reasons and I honestly cannot believe what it’s been...

Adequate. Fusion suggests a mix of influences from different cuisines however Fusion at Ramside provides well known dishes from Japan, Vietnam, China etc. Food was quite sweet, not really authentic. Wine list well priced but uninspiring. Service was odd, clumsy even. Would not go again.

Amazing food and fast and friendly service as usual here. Loved the Massaman and katsu curries, and wok fried greens are to die for, as is the mango and coconut creme brulee! Just fantastic asian fusion!

Order incorrect as others have found. Very young inexperienced waiting staff. Sushi far exceeeded expectations, as did mains. Starters wrong and bland. Squid bland and overpowered by lacking flavour batter. Vietnamese aren’t Vietnamese spring rolls…. Which should be fresh and fragrant and NOT fried. Vietnamese...

Ignored for a while on arrival, drink spilt over one member of our party, food order incorrectly taken, food scant on arrival (one piece of uncooked pepper, two minuscule pieces of broccoli, no mushroom and a leaf of pak choi does not a Teriyaki Don...

We visited Fusion during an overnight stay at Ramside Hall back in February, the hotel deal included credit to use for dining at one of the hotel restaurants so we chose this one. The food albeit expensive was fantastic, full of flavour and very well...

Very overpriced. We have had better street Thais. All looks nice and edible but come away feeling robbed! Duck was dry and mains disappointing

Great service. Nice food. People in bathrobes in the restaurant look somewhat unusual but it's okay. Unsure where is the entry to this place. I ate in the bar section 2 times, but I think the proper restaurant section was behind the bar walking from the hotel. Not much logic in it in my opinion, confusing and bad zen.

We had a dinner in Fusion whilst staying at Ramside Hall for two nights. The food was excellent, well prepared and presented, in fact there was too much that we struggled to finish it all. Service was very good our waitress and the restaurant Manager...

We had lunch in Fusion whilst visiting the spa for the day. At lunchtime, it’s informal so gowns are fine - but you will see non-spa customers in their normal attire. Prices were good and the menu is pan-Asia. We had the bento box which...

Very expensive, mediocre food, tiny sub-standard portions, shabby presentation in tupperware, food wasn't even bought plated!

i had the gyozo and the wife deep fried crab for starters. Was bland and given my love for gyoza i was more than disappointed, esp given the price tag. the mains were the bigger let down- raman was bland as was my pad thai....

The food was very good and loved the setting but the service was worst I have experienced for many years. We have been to many 'top' restruants in the area but this was extreamly poor. Areas of concern are below - - no one asked...

Stayed at Ramside Hall for the spa break & dined at the Fusion restaurant for the evening meal and breakfast next morning. Service & food were excellent. The Bento box was excellent value but make sure you're hungry, as there's a lot of food. Breakfast...

Fantastic meal. Service was super and food was amazing, the best Thai meal we have ever had! We have eaten in some lovely Restaurants over the years but this was one of the best. Service was top notch ! Lovely happy staff and very friendly...

An OK experience! The food was nice, although portions were small for the price. The service was very slow, we were told because of being very busy. With one exception, the service wasn't great either. My tom yum soup was nice, but the tempura prawns were "meh!" My pad thai was small for £17.50 but was tasty. Possibly because of the slow service, we ended up drinking 2 bottles of Pinot Griot at £28 each adding to cost. Thankfully we were in lovely company.

The menu choice is extensive, but on the expensive side, for what you then actually get. The service was very, very, very, very slow. One waitress apologised, others did not seem to be that bothered. Took a long time to take our order. Starters came in about half an hour, then mains about an hour later. Quality of food was not the best. The tempura prawns looked liked they had been purchased from M&S and the spicy mayo was just mayo. My husband and I ordered the Pad Thai, which was ok but not worth £17.50 in either quality or quantity. The bento box dessert to share was nice. Having been to several other Thai restaurants in the North East and beyond, Fusion is at the bottom of my list for service and quality of food, but up there in terms of expense (I do not mind paying for quality and service). Not sure I would go again.

Shrimp and prawn crackers are cracking

25th BIRTHDAY RUINED! Service slow to start, forgot to serve water had to ask twice, ordered the teriyaki chicken, it came scalding hot with shrivelled vegetables like it had been reheated. The chicken was swimming in a soup of teriyaki sauce, which was inedible as it was way too overpoweringly sweet. Trying to get notice of the staff but repeatedly ignored. Ended up sharing my partners pork dish which was OK. Finally they came to clear the table, where I explained the dish was inedible, they continued to get the manager. The manager approached and continued to tell us that teriyaki is meant to be sweet and they have sold many tonight With no complaints. I continued to tell him I am a chef for a Japanese restaurant myself and know it wasn’t acceptable, the sweetness needed neutralising with mirin. He then said ‘the wok must have not been wiped I’ll let the chef know ’ and tried to walk away multiple times during the conversation. Did not care at all and was completely in denial.Another half a hour wait for the bill. Overall food poor. Service was poor. Management poor. Would not recommend anywhere. Would have been better off getting food from nudo or another fusion chain.

We visited fusion on 21st December at 7.30pm as part of an over night stay at the hotel. We have visited many times before and we got married at the hotel too, however this visit was not up to the usual standard that we have experienced before. Our table was ready and we were promptly shown to it with no issues, apart from our starters were served as we were still eating our appetisers. I did say to the waiter that I was not ready for my starter yet. This was ignored and I was served my starter anyway. I ordered from the vegan menu, the healthy vegetable sushi was amazing as always. No complaints about the main either. My husband ordered the honey chilli chicken, which was over cooked and very chewy. This was a one off as he has ordered this many times before and it is usually cooked to perfection. After our mains we ordered a bottle of wine. This was brought to the table and just plonked down in the middle. The waitress didn’t check if it was the right bottle or did she pour a glass for us to try. It was not served in a wine cooler and was not poured for us. Not really the end of the world but it was definitely not the standard of service that we are used to when visiting this restaurant. We had finished our bottle of wine and had not been offered anymore drinks or deserts so we decided to leave. This was all mentioned as we left and we received an apology from the lady who is usually front of house. It was disappointing as this is a special place to us and we visited as a Xmas treat and it was my birthday. There were some fantastic Carol singers who came into the restaurant to sing and the Xmas decorations were really nice. Hopefully this was a one off and the (new?) staff will be properly trained in service for next time.

Fabulous food always, service is quick and attentive too. Visited for a family birthday (which I mentioned in the booking form) and they delivers a birthday cake unexpectedly which was a really lovely touch

Warm and friendly staff. Slightly overpriced, however I was happy to pay due to the location and service. Would revisit again.

Just returned from a one night stay at the Ramside hotel in a superior room. Checked in early, room was ready which was good,went straight to the spa for a swim,was disappointed to only be allowed an hour as it wasn't very busy. Booked fusion restaurant which we were told by reception wasn't available until 8pm which surprised the staff in there as it had been quiet all night with plenty of empty tables. Food was good but a little expensive for the amount you got. We had earlier looked at the carvery which didn't look nice at all,all under the heat lamps at 4pm.looked very dry. Our room was very nice with a view over the golf course but was very hot could do with air conditioning . There was confusion nicer the breakfast which we had pre booked, reception said we could only use the buffet but this was rectified by staff in the fusion where we did eat. It was ok but nothing special,bacon was dry and eggs overcooked, granola and fruit was drenched in maple syrup. Overall expensive for what we had but would return if we were allowed longer in the spa.

We came here on a couple of occasions as we are staying in the hotel. The first time we had crispy duck followed by a Massaman curry. I asked for my curry to be made more spicy and it was perfect. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the food. The second time we wanted a light bite and we went for a starter portion of duck salad and some salmon nigiri. Again the quality of the food was excellent and the portions generous. We also tried their cocktails which were very well made. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices are ok too. All in all we were very impressed.

The food at this restaurant was absolutely incredible, the salmon was gorgeous! Kendra did an absolutely amazing job looking after us. .. to the management, it’s hard in hospitality yes, there are no staff, yes. But there are things you can do to protect the staff you have, maybe don’t feel the need to book every room and every table out. There is poor decision making here, that is resulting in some of the team constantly getting slammed, looking at the reviews below - it’s not their fault they’re “not interacting” they’ve been on a 10 hr shift, you can see it. Again , the food and service was amazing, we had a genuinely incredibly stay. But I couldn’t help but look around. X

Initial service was fine, orders were taken in good time. We were never asked if the food was nice/if we enjoyed it, plates were taken from our table without any interaction. When we finished the mains we were left completely, we weren’t offered dessert menus or any more drinks, we had to grab a member of staff for the bill after half an hour of being ignored (we were right next to the service station they were avoiding all eye contact), once we had the bill we yet again had to call someone over to eventually pay. Inattentive at best and rude at worst, completely spoilt the evening and left with a really bad taste in our mouths. I would advise you avoid this restaurant.

Wow every hospitality venue needs an Alison, Alison went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time here, super friendly and attentive !! The food was amazing too. Thank you so much, we will be back for sure !! :)

Really nice little restaurant staff very friendly on arrival and drinks order taken straight away. We had starters and main while in the restaurant which was very nice. Thia green curry was very watery but was still very nice. The cost of drinks is very expensive £9 per cocktail. Food was also very pricey but I would visit again.

Totally tasteless food. Nothing comes as described on the menu. Can only imagine someone with no clue of what this food should taste like would like this place.“Spiced roasted nuts”with no flavour which when questioned they dumped a load of chilli flakes on top of. Spicer Sweet potato fries and cumin mayo.. Again no spice and just heinz mayo from a bottle. Then when asked they said they dont do whats on the menu.Our starters carried on the same way.. chicken satay which had no taste, on top of supermarket coleslaw which was very odd. My partners char-sui was just plain belly pork with some hoi-sin sauce. Absolutely no char-sui taste. Our mains which were overpriced and tasteless and watery. Only nice thing were the cocktails unfortunately.

Visited this place while at our stay at ramside hall. It was a little last minute so we didn’t have a reservation. There was an area for non reserved tables. These tables seemed less improvement and the furniture wasn’t as good as the other tables in the restaurant. The service was quite poor. Not like the rib room we had a meal at the night before which was amazing. Firstly it is overpriced for what you get. The nearly £20 curry had very little chunks of veg ect that was advised with it.The water Jub and glasses were dirty. The water was warm in the jug so we had to send it back to get iced added. The service was slow even thought It looked not very busy. The waiter took the order but didn’t take the menus with him. Another waiter brought over the water and I had to ask them to take the menus away as they walked away from the table. The massaman curry was amazing with flavour. The salmon was also really nice. The waiter came back to get the dishes but didn’t ask how the meal was or if we had a nice time. The service was very medioca. No enthusiasm. Seems unhappy to be working and having a job. Overall the food was nice and service was very poor for the overpriced menu. Wouldn’t go back in the future.

Food and staff really very good

Really not impressed with our experience at Fusion. I had read mixed reviews in advance and hoped the best for our visit but unfortunately we came away disappointed. We were seated and given no menus until I asked 15 minutes later. Starters arrived and were tasty however we then waited an hour for our main courses. When I asked about the delay we were told the ‘salmon takes a bit longer’-salmon should take the shortest time to cook! When the mains arrived they were scalding hot and had clearly been reheated in a microwave as no food from a pan is that hot. The teriyaki tasted like a microwave meal and the vegetables were shrivelled from being reheated. Very unpleasant. The curry was fine-nothing spectacular. For the standard of the hotel and price of the food, I would expect a lot more from this restaurant. The staff were sweet but everyone seemed to be young and inexperienced-there seemed to be no one taking charge. Breakfast was slightly better although our orders were wrong which meant one of us waited an extra 15 minutes for their meal. At least the staff seemed a little more capable and in control. We enjoyed our stay at Ramside but it was let down significantly by our dining experiences.

Really good food and ambiance, it's well worth the money.

Huge portion size, tasty food but a little too much chilli. We ate tempura prawns and duck pancakes for starters - both delicious and huge in portion size. Chicken chilli honey dish and teriyaki chicken. Both very nice but too much chilli on the chicken dish which prevented me from finishing it. Dry chilli not fresh so quite fiery and unnecessary. The bar staff were nice and the mocktail was gorgeous. I would recommend and would return.

Afternoon Tea- service was very slow despite only 3 tables in. Couldn't see the bar for empty glasses from the spa. Was presented with the food but the wait staff didn't explain what anything was so it turned into a bit of a taste test. Savoury items were lovely. Scones came with a pot of marmalade which was very weird. Asked for a side plate and was told it was under my tea cup, which was a saucer. Was given a giant spoon to eat a tiny cheesecake in a shot glass. Overall food was decent but it was like they didn't understand the concept of afternoon tea and service was slow.

Interesting menu, our food was very tasty. Friendly and attentive staff and a good cocktail menu. Cannot fault it!

Great good came quickly a bit too pricey for the quantities

Really love this restaurant. The service was first class and the food delicious. Great to see Tom again, excellent restaurant manager - very professional, as, in fairness, were all the staff. We've been away too long and hope to return soon.

Staff are lovely, particularly the lady running the front desk of the restaurant. Food was of such a high standard. Very pleasantly surprised!

We were staying overnight in the hotel so I booked to go to fusion restaurant before check in time. We turned up at 1343hrs….and waited. And waited. Staff were milling around deliberately not making eye contact. Waited longer. When it got to 1355 and no one had even acknowledged we were stood waiting I asked a member of staff what was happening as we were 10 minutes beyond our booking time. He completely blanked me, and wandered off. Eventually someone came to ask if we had booked a table. Is it not just basic manners for ANY member of staff to have said “we will be with you soon”??? Should I be having to point this out? Bearing in mind this was our first interaction with anyone at the hotel it was VERY disappointing. If I could have left and gone elsewhere I would have. The person seating us didn’t actually ask where we wanted to sit and seemed annoyed when I asked to sit at a table beside one he was trying to sit us at. It wasn’t bigger or anything, but again the attitude of the staff let it down. Thankfully things improved we got two bento boxes and the food was beautiful. It’s such a shame we were ignored as for this reason we won’t be returning. I’m the morning we had breakfast and we were the only ones in. No one actually explained how it worked (I am still unsure!), which again I feel could’ve been done better, but the morning staff actually acknowledged us so it was an improvement on our first experience.

Excellent food, great staff, looking forward to another visit

Bento boxes portions were so small. Bento box were £23. King prawns did not look like king prawns and only got 1 spring rolls, 2x small fish cakes for bento box. Had better portions else where. Definitely not worth the price.

Really disappointed with a recent visit - zero customer service/attention to detail. Appreciate the waiting staff are busy but it felt as though we were invisible. I had to ask for a menu, then after being sat there for about half an hour ask to order our food, then when we'd finished eating we were sat with dirty plates in front of us for about another half hour - absolutely ridiculous. No one asked how the food was, if we wanted another drink - honestly couldn't wait to leave! In the end I just went up to pay because I was sick of waiting. Probably the worst service I've received. The food was average - spring rolls good, pretty sure there was no tofu in the bao bun I ordered but since no one came to check I couldn't be sure. Ate in the Rib room on the evening and that was much better. AVOID!

Service was first class all food ordered was excellent and our waitress Kukky was very special a big thank you from the Murray family. We will visit again.

Will never eat here again. Waited 25 minutes for a drink to arrive, the fried starter was over cooked and they served chicken in my meal when I explained I don’t eat meat. They then tried to explain it was egg, not chicken, which was total lies. Had stomach pains and felt sick since eating there.As for the ambience.... when you’re there for a relaxing spa experience and treatment the last thing you expect is loud shouting from the kitchen. The shouting went on for a good while too.The experience in the restaurant made it feel more like Spar than spa. Really let the place down.

Rosie was particularly nice to not just our table, but every other table around, she deserves a promotion she is a lovely girl.

I loved Fusion before it close so it was great to see it back open. The restrictions meant everyone has to be outside but they have set up heaters and a nice seating area which would greatly increase capacity if it where to stay and would be great in the summer. The food was fantastic as usual I would recommend the Bento Box and the cocktails are also very good. Since the picture they have set up more covered areas outside :)

Really poor night service not great pints warm wine not good I requested at heater got no heater we were put at a table that was sticky some of our food was cold and raw not been cooked the soup still has but of gelatin in it we waited at least 30 for our drinks after we ordered I was angry at to price to I mean how can you charge people to same big prices as inside when you sitting on sticky table It was a birthday celebration to and it was very disappointing!

Second weekend of takeaway from Fusion. Quality of food is excellent.

It was my wife's birthday on thursday and to celebrate we wanted to go to the spa and have a fusion meal, but due to circumstances being what they are, we were happy to just have the food ordered from fusion, and boy they did not disappoint. All the food we had was absolutely fantastic, we can't compliment the chef's enough. My wife says that the satay was one of the best things she's ever tasted and as always the thai green curry was amazing. We were absolutely stuffed by the end. We will definately be ordering fusion takeout again.

We thought we'd give Fusion takeaway a try and we weren't disappointed. The food arrived slightly earlier than the estimated delivery time which suited us as we were desperate to dig in. The portions were big and the mains had loads of chicken and steak with delicious sauces. We were missing a few items, which you come to expect when delivery is just starting but it was quickly rectified and didn't spoil our enjoyment. I think we've found our new place for our weekly treat. Keep up the good work and amazing food

So we ordered food at 4:30pm today for the food to come at 8:30pm. So the they ring at 8:35 saying we don’t have the starters you have ordered. 4 hours later? This isn’t some little takeaway, we have paid over £60 for 3 people this is an absolute joke. Don’t go here they obviously they don’t care for their customers
