Furzedown Hotel in Great Yarmouth

Had a two day break. Breakfast was great. Nice bar looking out onto the seafront. Looking forward to staying there again.

Had a meal here today and wasn't dissapointed. The staff, service and food were excellent. We had Turkey, ham and cheese pie with chips, peas and gravy and it was delicious. I highly recommend the food here.

Stayed for one night from walking into checking in at reception to checking out at reception was excellent the lady was so nice.evening meal and breakfast was excellent would stay again

Having recently stayed at the Furzedown Hotel, I must say that I had a very enjoyable stay. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond especially a lady called Caroline. She was very polite and helpful. I will definitely be returning. Thank you ☺️

Restaurant was very well run table's well spaced out same in the bar, food was excellent and well priced, staff very friendly, will go again.

This is a well run family hotel with a fine restaurant to boot. We stayed for four nights and ate here on most evenings. Our compliments go to the chef who has a good eye for detail and is generous with the portions. It is difficult to know what to recommend because all the meals were exceptionally good. Some rooms offer fine views towards the sea and Venetian waterway across the road.

Unfortunately I cannot share details. Re this Hotel. As on the 20/7/24 I rang to book a room. This for the 15th to 17th August. Was informed it was booked and would recieve a confirmation email also gave them my telephone number. Non received. Contacted again on 22/7 when gave email again told would recieve confirmation. Nothing recieved. Sent them an email on 23/7 by Saturday 27/7 Still nothing recieved If they don't want my custom just say so. After reading the reviews this was the reason we looked at this hotel. But unfortunately my experience does not appear to be like the other guests.

We stayed at the Furzedown Hotel for one night with my baby granddaughter. There is ample free parking around the back of the hotel. It is on the seafront, just a short walk to all that Great Yarmouth has to offer. We booked a triple room, which contained a double bed and a single bed, a wardrobe, a chair, a dressing table and bedside cabinets. In the bathroom there was a bath with an overhead shower, a toilet and a basin. They also provided toiletries and towels. The room was on the third floor. The room was very clean with comfortable beds. We had a lovely sea view. The staff were all amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. Genuinely lovely people. Breakfast was delicious, we both had the cookie breakfast and my granddaughter had fruit and yoghurt. The coffee was especially nice. We really enjoyed our stay. The WiFi was almost nonexistent upstairs, the Tv also didn’t have an internet connection but this didn’t bother us.

Room a bit small but adequate. Breakfast good.

Friendly, quirky, comfortable beds and excellent brekkie. Nerve-wracking narrow driveway to the rear car park and no signage confirming the hotel name (says Garrods bar) but sweet staff and all good where it mattered.

Had a lovely weekend away room clean and tidy staff fantastic breakfast was amazing will recommend to family and friends and will be staying again carpark very small but not a problem parking on the front off hotel just had to pay for parking view from room was lovely thank you for a lovely weekend

Super lovely hotel! Such a well deserved bank holiday break and couldn’t have stayed anywhere better in Great Yarmouth! Very welcoming and friendly staff, vey attentive as well in the restaurant and professional! Fantastic quality food as well! Drinks were excellent too. The rooms were very clean and comfortable beds, with such a stunning view from our room at the front! I will 100% definitely recommend to anyone who is going to stay in Great Yarmouth! Me and my family shall be returning the next time we visit!

We stayed here over this bank holiday weekend for two nights. We booked two rooms with breakfast included. The rooms were clean and we had a lovely sea view. The location is excellent as you can leave your car in the carpark or park on the main road, although parking charges apply in certain areas and walk along the beautiful renovated boating lake and along the sea front. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food in Garrods bar and restaurant located in the hotel its self was absolutely delicious. The choice of breakfast was excellent and really well cooked. Especially the eggs Benedict. For a three star hotel it’s a lovey place to stay and not bad value at all.

Excellent food in Garrods Bar and Restaurant and portions definitely on the large side. Room very clean and tidy, good bed, shower over bath and loads of hot water. Kettle and tea and coffee in the room if needed. Hoghly recommend
