This is now our go to food place if out in Maidstone. Each time I've eaten here, it has been great. You can tell the chef here cares about people enjoying their food.

I’m disappointed I haven’t tried sooner! The pulled jackfruit wrap was amazing. You can tell a lot of love goes into the food. With so many vegetarian options I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu.

We’ve eaten here a handful of times and it’s one of our favourite ‘real food’ places (great for a walk along the river afterwards too). We always have the wraps, chicken sharwarma and the beef version, both great. My friend enjoyed her chicken & chorizo wrap. They’re a generous size and filling! They’re also very aromatic tasting rather that hot or super spicy, and all made from scratch so be happy to wait 10/15 minutes or so, maybe longer if they’re very busy. Defo going to be back 👍🏻

Have eaten at Funky Feast in Lockmeadow and also got a delivery and both times the food was delicious and the service was fantastic!! My wife and son both have gluten intolerance and the chef was clued up and told me exactly what I can and can't have. The chicken sharwma with all the fillings is absolutely delicious and the jollof rice with garlic prawns is a must!! Will be ordering from here again 100%!!

This guy can cook, excellent value food. Would be very happy with these dishes in any quality restaurant and they would cost twice as much, highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing food! Can't recommend enough. Ordered the Lemon chicken olive tagine and although certain things weren't available the great chef made me something up similar and was out of this world!

Was at Lockmeadow this afternoon for The Vintage & Retro Fair and decided to give this place a try after checking out the various food outlets. Had the Chicken Shawarma Wrap and Chunky Chips. All I can say is, the food was absolutely delicious, and I will be visiting again soon!

I had a halloumi wrap (the picture is a chicken shawarma wrap) and it was probably the tastiest wrap I have ever had. The staff are friendly and helpful. Being in Lockmeadow it's not particularly atmospheric, but it was quiet and clean and airy, and enabled us to get a burger at the same time and follow it up with cake without having to move seats.

wonderful food and good service. the falafel wrap was lovely and crispy. my absolute favourite was the chicken and Chorizo wrap, wonderful taste and the meat was so tender. price was great aswell. I've tried a few of the other food at love food and funky feast was by far the best.

Just stopped by here after cinema in Maidstone. And WOW were we glad we did. Chicken and chorizo wrap was fantastic. Falafel wrap just a good. 👍

Eric is a legend an absolute star, now as a Turk I absolutely love Lebanese food and all the other dishes that Eric has on the menu. That shredded beef wrap just hits different with the coleslaw, hummus and all the lovely rainbow flavours and colours. Nom nom. Will be back again and recommend it. Gorgeous.

Honestly... This place is on another level. Why it isn't frequently mentioned as the best place for food in Maidstone I honestly don't know. Eric the chef and the team at Funky Feast always create brilliant food. Best advice I can give you is to ask to be surprised or for the special. You won't be disappointed!

Top of the line DELICIOUS! Superb tastes and combinations. I had the Olive Lemon Chicken with Couscous. The flavors were amazing! The chicken was tender in a complex flavor broth. Just right on salt with aromatic, sour and bitter hints. Loved it! Also ordered the Pick 3: Chicken Schwarma, Squid, and Sweet Potato chips.

Wow, wow, and wow. That was completely unexpected. I have not had that good of food in some high end restaurants. It is such an unassuming food court, but it is a gem.

I eat at funky feast quite a lot, 100% the best place in lockmeadow. So many flavours and the food is cooked perfectly! The chef is so friendly too and does all he can for you. I really recommend it😍

I can't believe we stumbled across this place, the food is as eclectic as it is amazing. We had 6 dishes in total each and every one was extraordinary, so I can't pick favourites but you need to try the salt and pepper squid, patatas bravas and the red wine chorizo (if you have a propensity for salty foods!) I would highly recommend Funky Feast and I shall be eating here much more in the near future 🤠

Delicious food and good service. There are good gluten free option's and the chef understands gf requirements and cross contamination to prepare food. The jollof, prawns and lamb are delicious and portion size is great. An absolute gem. Can't wait for the next visit. :)

We chanced this place and we were really glad we did. The lamb was everything I was hoping for and the chips, the chips were amazing. Fat and crunchy but soft too. I highly recommend this place and their deal is good too!

What a fantastic find today. We tried the chicken shawarma, which was very tasty and flavourful. The patatas bravas were crispy and very tasty, and the crispy falafels were perfectly cooked too and professionally made. There was plenty of food, and none went to waste. We will definitely be back again. Thank you Eric.

My friend and I both had Chicken Shawarma as per my brother’s recommendation… and let me tell you, it’s the nicest Shawarma I’ve ever had - possibly the nicest wrap I’ve ever had! The meat is tender and juicy, but the spice balance is incredible. The fragrant Middle Eastern taste really shines through, and then you get the crunch and tang of the pickled slaw. Highly recommend this place, and the especially the Shawarma!! Will be going back to try the Tegine.

By far the best mezze platter I have ever had. Now I don’t want to go anywhere else for my Middle Eastern fix. Awesome food made by an awesome chef!!

This has to be the main reason for my fiancé and myself to drive from Tunbridge Wells to Maidstone, not to visit the Odeon but eat this amazing food! New menu today, Tagines are superb! Do yourself a favour and visit Funky Feast, the fusion menu on offerwill make you melt away to a different country with every bite!!

Eric came to cook an outdoor feast for a group of 14, to celebrate our friend's upcoming nuptials. We couldn't have asked for more. He tailored a menu to suit our preferences and went above and beyond every step of the way. The food itself was beautifully presented and tasted absolutely delicious.It was my personal highlight of the weekend (and the leftovers were great too!). He cleaned up after and left us to it to enjoy the rest of our night. I highly recommend booking Eric for a special occasion, or just to have a night off - we will certainly book him again in the future!

Not sure how come they have 5 starts, maybe they bought them or people who give 5 starts has a strange taste buds. I ordered today loads of different foods and was exited to receive it. When it came I lost appetite just looking at it. Everything was packed in same box, I like my salad or houmous cold but since they save on boxes I guess they just dropped everything in same. Honestly it does look pretty disgusting when everything looks like some sloppy mess and you just understand where's what. Everything is ruined as its on top of each other, tastes are mixed together and as I said your salad and houmous is all mixed with hot fish and meat etc. I really didn't like it, some things taste weird some bland. It was a very bad order and I definitely won't be ordering again I'm sorry. All of this was over £40!!!! Dogs dinner more like. I THROWN everything in a BIN! PS Thanks for your reply which looks like business promotion😆 🤣 but I'm okay and I don't need anything free Thanks anyway. I assume try packing differently for takeaway deliveries.

Out of all of the vendors at lock meadow FF was the last one that I tried. I must say the flavours of the meal I had were wonderful. I have no idea why I had not eat there before now. Will not be the last lunch time visit.

This has got to be the best place to eat in Love Foods @Lockmeadow. Great food every time. Love their cheesy cauliflower steak, their Lebanese shredded lamb, the Shawarma chicken. The chef and other staff are extremely warm and friendly. The portion they serve is extremely filling and super healthy as well. We love coming back here again and again.

I don't do often reviews but this place deserves one. Food is simply delicious, really tasty and healthy too. The lamb is literally to die for. Try it and you won't be disappointed. By far the best food you can have in Maidstone

Eric saved the day after being let down at the last minute and I’m glad we were as his food was fantastic! Amazing flavours and colours as well as travelling all the way from Kent to The Cotswolds! Would highly recommend!

Went here last night. What incredible food. A real treat, when you know the food has been made with love and tastes sensational. All the food combinations were interesting and favours worked well together. I had the mixed base with halluomi and my husband had the 5 hour slow cooked Lebanese shredded lamb. The chef obviously knows his stuff. He was also very knowledgeable about allergies and my coeliac hubby was able to have a gluten free feast in confidence. Will definitely go back here again. Lots of veggie and vegan choices.

Eric catered our event and I'm really glad he did. He was really helpful and it was super easy to arrange everything with him. There were lot's of vegan and gluten free options - everyone was really happy and asking were the food was from :-) The breakfast was absolutely delicious especially the pancakes and fruit compote which was a big hit. The lunch mezze was really tasty and fresh and beautifully presented, perfect for us. I would 100% recommend and if we come back to Maidstone we will order again for sure ! Thanks Eric.

They do quite a few vegan options and they were very tasty and filling. We had a mixed based and falafel. The lady serving us and the chef were very kind and nice to talk to as well and the prices were good.

I would recommend to anyone -especially the ones looking for healthy and/or veggie options as it’s really hard to find healthy veggie food that’s this tasty! I will definitely be coming back.

Tried funky feast at Lockmeadow Food Hall that recently opened in Maidstone, delicious 😋 We had a bit of everything to nibble, my chili prawns were lovely and my husband enjoyed the falafels. Dips were fantastic too. We're now even considering to have funky feast as our weekly delivery chef!

The best chef I have ever had in my life. My husband and I, hired Eric for our 3 year old birthday party. Total guest number was about 30 people. The food was exquisite and felt like heaven in my mouth. The guests were amazed and kept talking about food all day. They were very professional and always kept kitchen clean and tidy. The food was served at the correct temperature and in a timely manner. The fine dining experience was out of this world and I would definitely hire again if I host any parties in the future. Worth every penny and highly recommended!!!

Amazing 50th Eric and his team pushed the personal chef boundaries to the limit , arrived drinks severed, social , food off the clock , cleaned and gone . Eric was catering for a private function for 70 guests and it was absolute pleasure working with Eric - from the very beginning whilst planning the menu options to the very end when he was cooking his pretty and delicious food to our guests. Had so many good comments about his food from guests after the event. Communication was quick and easy, and he left the kitchen clean and tidy - same way as he found it. Def will contact him again if any other functions in the future. Highly recommended 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Super easy to communicate with, flexible on changes we asked for, came on time, and the food was SO tasty and in line with high end restaurant and fantastic value. Presentation was also fab. Eric and his team provided the most incredible food and service for my parents recent 50th Wedding Anniversary meal. The food was faultless, the service exceptional and they went above and beyond at every opportunity. I cannot recommend Funky Feast highly enough.

Eric is a true professional. You can expect Michelin quality food alongside a very friendly and professional service. For my husband’s birthday meal, he adapted the menu to cater for what we wanted. He was great to deal with throughout. And they left the kitchen cleaner than they found it!

Eric did two meals for me on consecutive nights . The first a formal indoor dinner and the second a barbecue and both were first class. He was a pleasure to deal with, couteous and attentive, and the food and service was excellent. I will definitely be using him again
