3°. time here, amazing food and great atmosphere, for me it's the best sushi place in Birmingham. The space is small but very clean and tidy (I would recommend to make a reservation before going in).

A hidden gem What a fantastic place to live and experience the Japanese tradition. I liked the fact that this place is been run by personnel who follows the Japanese tradition in contrast the rest of the more commercialised ones. Will definitely be visiting this place from now on

Wonderful and authentic Japanese cuisine

This is one of the best sushi places in Birmingham. The quality of food and service is second to none. I could not recommend this place any more!

Food was absolutely delicious. Very authentic Japanese cuisine that is very reasonably priced. Small intimate setting with floor seating (Japanese style) or table seating. Menu was extensive with plenty of vegetarian options. Service was immaculate. Definitely recommend, and I will be returning!

The service at this establishment was impressively fast, and it also came at a reasonable price point. Even though the place was not particularly crowded when we arrived, our orders arrived within mere minutes after we placed them. This promptness added to the overall positive experience. With a hearty thumbs up and my wholehearted recommendation, this place is certainly worth a visit.

I lost my airpod case outside this shop, after spending up to an hour looking for them the kind staff member approached me outside and asked me if i lost an airpod case. Lovely place to eat. Went for a double date and the food you get for the price is brilliant. Good quality and great selection. It is however cash only so you need to bring some change with you. Friendly staff and service pretty quick.

The restaurant is a treasure if you live in Solihull and outside Birmingham where There are shortage of good options . There are no good sushi restaurants outside the centre of Birmingham except Fukuoka! Their sushi is tasty and presentation is great and the restaurant itself offers Japanese and western style seating options. Recommended

Exceptional authentic japanese food. Lovely experience, food came out really quick, bit on the expensive side but worth it. The unagi (eel) and octopus balls were divine. Would definitely recommend. Recommend to book before hand as they only have 4 seating tables and 2 floor tables.

The best food I’ve tasted in such along time. My favourite place ever takeaway or eat in. Only flaw is it’s not always open.

Great range of sushi, not as many non-sushi options. I enjoyed my teriyaki salmon bento box and liked that there was the option to sit at a traditional table. However, my friend and I found it to be a bit pricey for what it was, and it was frustrating that we were not able to pay by card!

Used to be good but just spent £40 on the worst meal we've had. They forgot 2 portions gyozas we ordered (4pcs each) so we had to go back they wouldn't deiver - when we went back they literally gave us 2 gyozas 😂. Didn't give us a dip with the tempura which made it not worth eating... chicken skewers were not chicken and were horrible! Whole thing went in the bin. Don't go there!!!

Food was ok, katsu curry portion was tiny, sauce was thin. To be honest, very underwhelming and expensive. Sushi was small.

Food is decent enough, but lacks that authentic Japanese touch. I come here to get as close to the flavours as I can without having to go into Central Brum.

Everything was amazing, I started picking things at random that I had never tried. I will be back, can anyone recommend a random dish to try I will add it to my review. The Japan's recipe for the beer is great, even if it is made in Wolverhampton, well if you want fresh food and beer we can really wait for it to be delivered from Japan. Again amazing.

Possibly my favourite Japanese restaurant in Birmingham. The interior is small but fits the ascetic well and is decorated beautifully. The food here is delicous and Ive never eaten anything bad in the many times Ive been here. The staff are hard working and helpful and the range of drinks available is great. Menu is reasonably priced, only minor downside is that they are cash only but there's cashpoints close to the restaurant. Highly recommend if you find yourself in or around the Shirley area

Halal restaurant! Has a great selection on the menu. We had teriyaki chicken rice which was fresh and tasty, dumplings which were decent and a selection of smaller sushi rolls. We had the floor table/seating which was unusual but made for a nice experience! Everything was freshly made. I'm already planning my next visit...the larger sushi rolls are more expensive but they are BIG so can't wait to try them. Restaurant is small (about 8 tables only) so book in advance for busier times

Excellent food and service. Lovely little place with a wide selection of Japanese dishes. We took fired tofu as starter and then bentos. I took the eel, my wife salmon, our friend chicken and my daughter, who isat is vegetarian, the tofu. They were all great and nice to see. Be aware that payment is only cash but there is an HSBC 100 meters away.

The food here is exceptional, its halal and light and full of wonderful authentic flavours, its a small restaurant with about 4 regular tables and 2 tatami traditional floor tables, and I wouldn't want it any other way! The presentation of the food, the flavours, the service, the price its all class!

Authentic Japanese dining experience and plenty to go for vegetarians too. Great service as well. The restaurant must try some other sauces other than sweet teriyaki - it does get monotonous if you're not having sushi but overall great food and nice ambience

Went in on the spur of the moment after reading the reviews....wanted a quick meal soon after they opened...just a couple of starters as I was not hungry ...they fit me in and I was really pleased I took the chance...amazingly fragrant and tasty food served by charming polite staff...thoroughly recommend. Ps - do book coz whilst I was there, it got quite busy very quickly.

Excellent food and really good value for money. The wait time was over 30 mins for food tonight but I'm not sure if they were just having an especially busy night. Pretty small seating space too so booking is essential.

Very authentic Japanese food. Busy when we were there, and service was a bit slow (though the waitress was constantly on the go) but excellent otherwise. Don't be scared to try the eel, it's delicious! Remember to take cash with you; they don't take plastic.

The sashimi is really fresh, made some very good nigiri too! I would recommend the yakiudon, which means stir fried udon with Japanese soy sauce. The music used in the restaurant was some of the Japanese pop songs I used to listen all the time when I was in high school. Reminds me of some good old days back in Hong Kong. It was all in all very nice experience having dinner here.

The restaurant is a hidden gem if you live close to south of Birmingham or even if you are a bit further away from the centre. There are no good sushi restaurants outside the centre of Birmingham except Fukuoka! Their sushi is tasty and presentation is great and the restaurant itself offers Japanese and western style seating options. Recommended

Small, but lovely place. Aside from standard tables, they even have 2 'traditional' low tables which seat 4 people, where you can sit on cushions on the floor to enjoy your meal in true Japanese style. Food was excellent. There are a few parking spaces out the front as it is set in a row of shops. They only take cash though, so go prepared, or you'll have to walk down road to the petrol station to use the free cashpoint there like I did.

The Bento boxes are great. Lovely appetisers too. A nice authentic alternative to Wagamamas. The only way they could be better is if they did Ramen!

They are really not serious,we made 20km to eat sushi 2 times,and they were close...2 times close door but on google map they wrote opening time and everyday are open🥺🥺🥺

Oh god, this place is incredible. Prices are great, atmosphere is cosy, and food is to die for! If you like sushi, you must try Fukuoka. Booking is essential. Place could do with having its process modernised... Online table booking would be nice. Also, cash only when I went last time, which was fine as they warned me when I booked. But, y'know...

Food is absolutely great. Very well decorated place but small. Good service overall.

The sushi was very tasty however we had to sit on the floor to eat so that is not so good for the older people. The other food was ok and the parking was good as well. It was quite small but that gives it a cosy touch. Not good for too many people.

If you know Japanese food then this place is the worst one you will ever eat at. We had a noodle dish and it was a straight to wok noodle bag and some veg with soya sauce. I don't normally write reviews but thought I should to save you around £40 for a meal for 2 which is robbery for what they give.

This place was surprisingly very good. It Was a last minute decision since we do not knew the area but it turned out good. Need a high chair for babies though.
