Fu Kwai in Wigan

Been in a couple of times now food improved. But my Chips were cold in the week So went in last night to get takeaway just mentioned my Chips were cold when I got home the other night.For the young English girl to question how could they be cold and how far did I travel. Does not matter how far even though I only live behind the shop for her to question a customer her attitude was rude. Disappointing for a staff member to speak to customers abruptly. Not good when there is competition near by. Respect the customers

The food was excellent. The staff are very efficient too, no standing around waiting but constantly doing something. Prices are very fair. Would highly recommend ordering anything from the menu here.

Ordered chips and peas recently and they were awful. The peas looked liked death and the chips warmed up. All went in the bin. What has happened to this once great Chinese?

Fish was not cod and was terrible, the chips were warm ups from dinner service, went in the bin, disappointed as this was once a good chippy.

Order placed 18.34pm,told ready at 19.00. Arrived at 19.04pm no acknowledgement. Stood in a queue. Did anybody bother to ask phone order or no??? 👎 stood for 30 minutes while staff shouted out orders for people arriving after me!!? Absolutely kaos. No management skills and no control of anything front of house eventually served with the staff having no knowledge of my order??? THEN MAGIC!!!! MY ORDER WAS IN THE WARMER ALL THIS TIME. to top it off whilst waiting a guy complaining about no pork dish to be told ohh ok an extra 3 quid???? He said no way as my other food is now cold. Answer is rid yourself of the woman screaming into the cooking area and ignoring customers on arrival and retrain the English girl to look up and acknowledge people. FOR ME, NEVER AGAIN EVER !!

Great food is best in the area. We don't go anywhere else.

This takeaway Chinese has gone from good to great over the years since the 80's. Credit to its owners.

This is a typical Chinese restaurant where you can find some quick food and beverage. As this restaurant is just over the road, there is no hassle of ordering food and getting them home. You can't sit there and eat as there is no space and sitting arrangement but you can order the food and take it away.

Made mistake coming here again. Keep thinking it might improve but never does. Everytime I ring to place an order they tell me 10 minutes but can guarantee it is never ready when I go to collect. Food gone really poor. They charge a fortune for dishes but mostly made up of veg. The chips look over cooked but always seem raw inside, not very pleasant. Not going to bother or waste my money again.

Good food & efficient service. Suggest a couple of menu additions: Duck with Orange Sauce & a mixed ribs combo starter?

if you want the juiciest salt and pepper chicken and salt and pepper chips that actually have flavour and aren’t dry this is the place to go.

Absolutely delicious food, lots of selection, the food is always fresh and full of flavour. Would definitely recommend. The pink menu on your website needs updating though, as the prices have recently changed.

Poor service, food has gone down hill since it was taken over. Prices have really gone up as well.

Was staying in travelodge near by. Saw this wee Chinese takeaway thought to try it on my 2nd night. Great wee place walk in order. The food was still very hot back to the travelodge. Enjoy it very much.

Has Fu Kwai been taken over by new people? We have been using this Chinese for years. But for the last few weeks the Singapore curry isn't the same. Not quite as good.

Great food, but could do with a good clean. The dirt on the windows was rank. Which worried me a little

Banging Chinese!! chip shop style counter love this place its a little Gem!

Walked in waited and waited no one came to serve. Called his telephone number he came out told him that it was me calling to get bloody served. No apology just took our order. Wont be back no matter how good it tastes as man was just rude making us wait as ling.

The best Chinese in the area by far! The crispy chilli shredded beef is amazing and great salt and pepper chips. Yum.

Chips not the best. Special in blackpepper sauce decent amount of meat and far to much veg which left no room for any sauce so.meal.was absolutely dry wouldn't come here again

fu kwai is a lovely chippy in Lowton a personal favourite of me and my family with the owners living near just implants the positivity even more. with great food and prices you just cannot go wrong.

Moved to this area about 5 weeks ago and after reading the reviews thought I would try it So glad I did it is tremendous really good food and not bad prices would highly recommend

Gravy was disgusting as we're the ribs, chicken fried rice was half decent, won't be going again.

Gone downhill over the years owners just dont seem to care anymore . Hit and miss more of a miss than a hit . Take your chances elsewhere
