Frydays, Seghill in Northumberland

I’ve just moved into the area… for less then £10, you get enough food to feed 2 people & the quality is GREAT. The kebab & battered chips were standout. So friendly & welcoming too. Going to be a new regular for sure. Ps - It’s cash only.

Service was ok but this place must of changed hands as it was once hands down the best chippy ..... fish have shrunk and the portions of chips have halved yet the price has doubled ..... I wouldn't recommend it again but would always tell people they had to try it once in there life Fish chips curry sauce plus a bottle of pop was £28 for two portions avoid disappointment and go elsewhere

First time ordering here. The best chippy I've ever been to. (And I've been to a lot of chippys!) highly recommend the mixed chicken donner wrap. Will definitely be visiting Frydays again, thank you!

It's one of my favourite chippys in the local area. Battered chips are a must, and the kebab meat is full of flavour. Great chippy.

He charged me £5 for chips and curry sauce in a small tin tray. He charged me £3 last time.Absolute rip off! Avoid!!!!

Food is dear I got two mince pies one chips a chicken pie with chips two gravy and a peas and came to £21 wot a rip off cheaper to get fish and chips from here

Sadly been here few times chips not cooked properly almost yellow on colour pie was awful and over priced for awful food I shall not be returning very poor quality

Alright chippy. The server was really trying to sell his battered chips, they were okay but basically just a different version of chips with scraps I guess. Would have preferred just normal chips but they ran out after giving my partner the last portion (or they were just trying to sell their highly regarded battered chips to me 😂).

Never heard of battered chips before but they are great. Not the same batter as the fish and it seems the orange battered chip originates from the black country

Good food and the owners are class always up for a laugh and you never have to wait long because they know what they are doing. It's always been a very good chippy this one.

What can I say but just the best every time, perfectly cooked super fresh fish and the battered chips are to die for. Chicken kebab is totally delicious too Good prices and big portions.

Been twice after viewing opening times online, both times closed. Please update opening hours info as do not live in the area.

They do not deliver and do not seem to have signed up to Just Eat or Deliveroo as a service, Well presented in sturdy box with huge portions - could easily reduce these (in my opinion) the battered chips were different - there was no evidence of 'batter' on them but they were a different colour to the plain chips - we had one of each so could compare - battered chips should actually have batter on them:) However tasted fine and fish was beautiful when we found it under the mountain of chips. would be an idea to offer delivery as parking to collect is not easy.

Did a brief stop here, before a Long journey. Staff were very friendly, takeout was quickly processed and I was out the door within 10 minutes.

Absolutely do not eat from here I went here on 20/05/2021 Had large fish and chips £7.50 and a small pot of gravely 80p The portion size is decent that’s the only good thing but the fish and the chips taste like pure grease no flavour and just soggy with greese As for the gravey I wouldent give it to a wild fox taste bitter and lumpy Please if u want a nice chip shop meal find somewhere else to go

Excellent fish and chips, the battered chips are firm favourites with the grandkids. Cod bites are a good size and their menu is quite extensive. Owners and staff are very friendly. Highly recommended

Good quality Fish and Chips, also battered chips and the usual range of chip shop goodies. Curry sauce is s bit mild for my taste, but everything else is good. Also do kebabs. Portions are HUGE!

Well I must say I love the chips and once in a blue moon you get a good fish i think you take a chance but every time I always take the chance and get the watery one. I don't complain I think us English don't as much. But these days fish and chips are costing a fortune £7 so really your paying that for a few chips and a lucky dip mind my dog loves it. Daylight robbery need a good chippy for a fish

Rang to place an order for delivery, reply was no problem what’s your address, so I told him (just along road in Annitsford) and because he didn’t recognise my street name I was told there wasn’t any staff and I had to collect, erm no thanks I’ll take my business elsewhere!
