Best chips I've had in years, go try them!

We visited on Sat eve just before closing, staff friendly, haddock and chips twice went down very well, very tasty, would've given 5 stars if they had remembered to give us the mushy peas that they charged us for

Not great, the young girl serving was fairly rude and the chips were very dry, probably from the day before (we went at 12pm). The fish was good and made to order.

We had some lovely food here. Fish cooked to perfection and chips really tasty. My son had a cheese burger which he loved. Staff were really friendly and had a lovely indoor seating space with some highchairs for little ones and a toilet which was convenient for us as we needed to wash hands after an afternoon on the beach. There was also an adequate outdoor seating space with a few tables and chairs.

We were a party of 8 visiting the area including 2 small children and decided to eat inside. Food was average but not expensive and cost £55.00 for all of us to eat there. Was expecting something a bit more due to this being located in the bay and local competition. Chips and the mushy peas were too dry and the fish batter was far too thick, which was very crunchy. When the food was ready they did not have any small sausages for the children and substituted this for a large sausage betwen the 2. Unfortunately the children didn't eat this and they said it was too spicey. I'm not sure if the small sausages are the same. Staff were pleasant enough and accommodating. Would suggest that they check their stock before confirming and paying for the order and not at point of serving whilst we were all sat down for 15 minutes waiting for the food to arrive. Overall was a quick place to stop to eat at a reasonable price. .

Excellent fish and chips restaurant . Everything cooked fresh on ordering . Brilliant prices . Friendly staff . I go often with my family . Food is delicious . I took my friend there on Tuesday she said it was the best fish and chips she’d had . I will be returning soon with my grandchildren they love it there

Ordered on Conwy Eat, dessert was unavailable and offered a refund on those items. Food arrives, chicken curry, chips and rice but chips were missing. Tried to call twice to resolve and been told management will call back to issue a refund but not had a call. £16.50 for Curry and Rice essentially (Although this was nice)

The food I ordered was second to none outstanding, it was piping hot, food was absolutely delicious, delivery man was also outstanding polite just lovely. Going to be my go to every week now, well done everyone you deserve everything that comes to you x

I can’t rate atmosphere as I had a takeaway. A bonus when picking up is they do a curbside pickup option so you don’t even have to get out of the car. I read a number of reviews for various fish and chip shops in the local area as am here on holiday so didn’t know the area. I chose based on previous reviews and I have to say was not disappointed. I ordered Haddock, large battered sausage and large chips to share with my wife. The portions were a good size, the batter wasn’t greasy at all and chips were tasty. Price was very reasonable as would have cost nearly double in my home town of Portsmouth. Very pleased I picked this place.

The eat in part was quite basic but adequate. The 2 girls frying and serving were very friendly and have excellent service. I purchased a take away and the fish and chips lived up to their reputation.

Chips were lukewarm and scraps. Didn't taste nice or fresh. The curry was horrible

Fantastic friendly restaurant. Excellent value and quality. An OAP portion is offered, with a smaller fish, and is available to anyone. This was a perfect size for me! All freshly cooked and lightly battered as requested. Also dog friendly....we will be back!!

So happy with this takeaway 4th time here and still the same me and my Fiancé both has a large sausage and chips with curry sauce it was out of this world the curry sauce tasted amazing and I would recommend coming here anytime

Waited a long time for my food and the chips were a little hard not soft and fluffy.

Walked in late tonight just before closing. Staff still happy to serve chips which were lovely and hot. Definitely come again :) Place was clean and tidy too thank you 😊

Yum Yum. Cod, Haddock, large chips and mushy peas. The only downside is that we both ate too much. Will definitely order a home delivery again

Hello guys, we visited this shop at the weekend and I must absolutely commend the customer service! Affordable, friendly, and professional. Dog friendly for those interested 😁 We were served service with the most beautiful smiles. All the ladies were polite. The food, well that was delicious!! The fish was amazing!!

Absolutely amazing place. Services was amazing couldn't have asked for anymore from them even asked how meleted we wanted our cheese and chips. Food was impeccable. Definitely recommend there homemade fishcake only 10p more than a normal. Amazing price for what you get . Very clean and the staff deserve a pay rise 👏 🙂🙂

Very good clean shop. We went for fish and chips and were very impressed. We had a menu with fish, fries, mushy peas, buttered toast and tea and it was very tasty. We recommend. The nice lady explained things very well and was super nice. We will come back.

First time I've been there, will not be the last, absolutely stunning. Service was great, nice welcome soon as I walked in, staff were happy and the place was spotless. I ordered the Cod Special, (Fish, Chips, Peas, bread and butter and a cup of tea.) Waited no longer than ten minutes and it was undoubtably the best Fish & Chips I've had, stunning. Could not fault it in any way. Thank you, it was a pleasure eating there.

Friday 26th August I visited here and had something to eat with my wife the grandkids and my inlaws, very friendly,very clean, food was fantastic also they were able to offer something for my inlaws who are vegetarians and the kids were well catered for. It takes a lot for me to leave a review and I haven't read any on here before putting my opinions on but will revisit when I'm back up that way again

Travelled from leeds to stay nearby for a long weekend, came across the shop on a walk, amazing food and really decent portion sizes! Very friendly staff, really enjoyed our food.

Could only sit outside with a wooden fork but the food was piping hot both fish and chips were good

I never have the motivation to leave a review but after having ordered and paid for just a bag of chips, I had to leave after a 20 minute wait because it still didn't look like they were going to make an appearance. Total lack of organisation. Went round the corner instead. Today about 4.35pm (when ordered). I left at 5pm.

Several times we have eaten here, mainly take away but also to eat in. Always friendly staff, exceptionally so to everyone who walks in the door and very accommodating. Lovely fish and chips, and well priced, never had to wait long! Always a must when we are in Colwyn Bay.

Waited half an hour for sausage and chips with no warning.. it's not like it was even busy in there. I was walking past and thought I might have a chippy instead of going to the kfc over the road.. by the time my lunch break was up I didn't even have time to eat my food.

One of the only fish and chip shops showing open on a Monday afternoon, so we stopped in on our way through. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and the place was virtually empty. Despite this, the service was pretty slow and it took around 15-20 mins to get our food to take away. The food was served in sturdy trays wrapped in paper, with a plastic fork. Between us we had fish, chips, peas, steak and kidney pie, sausages and gravy and it was all really tasty.

The best fish and chips I've ever had, the chips is so fresh and delicious, not frozen chips and the fish is out of this world. Service was good and swift.

Just had Fish, Chips & Peas. Everything fresh and the batter was lovely and light. The Best in the area, without doubt. And I've tried them all. Lovely service too. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Just been back today June 3rd different staff. Unfortunately the Chips were dry and rather shrivelled..so I have had to amend my review. I'll be back next week or two with another update.

Proper Fish & Chips. If you're in the bay / old colwyn and fancy some traditional fish and chips then go to Freshmans. Coming from a local these guys do it the best

The meal was OK But the rudeness of the manager was another thing !! I was horrified when I asked for a receipt how rude the manager was & said I couldn't have one because I'd paid contact less I didn't even get to see the contact less machine, I could of easily paid £30!! I'll have to wait now & check with the bank Won't be going there again!!!
