Freddies Food Club in Glasgow City

Have been ordering from Freddies for years, but food and prices are awful. What has happened to you???

Ordered from this place on just eat. Gross food, completely inedible. Binned upon a few bites. Very disappointed, and been left hungry as ordered very late. Will never order from here again.

I was eating my food when I saw it was overcooked coincidently i got overcooked as the building was on fire

Put a menu through our door at 10pm, rattling the letterbox which made the dog start barking and woke the baby up, cheers lads.

Missing things in order when eventually arrived. Kebabs tiny. Frozen chips instead of chip shop chips. Has went downhill. Won't be back .

We used ordered from the one in Great western road and we were upset when it got burnt down, recently we heard that they opened in Drumchapel. We ordered chicken kebabs, pizza and chips and it was disgusting. Chicken kebabs taste awful and greasy, chips soggy and pizza I would not call a pizza! It was undercook soggy blop. Never again!

Don't order from here the girl who does orders robbed me and got my order wrong I called they say my fult she is some stuipd worker and should get a new job food was Cold to

Hopefully this is only a temporary location at Garscadden Road due to the fire at Great Western Road. Inside the 10 o'clock shop isn't ideal but the staff and food are a tremendous as ever ... Shish Kebab is amazing.

Visited Freddie's last night on our way to Balloch for a nice run in the car. My daughter and I had gone to McMonagles for the first time in probably 20 years and it was closed for refurb for one day! Upon my daughter asking "is there anywhere else", I said, "well there used to be a cracking chippy at the roundabout but haven't been there in a very long time", so we drove along. New owners since my last visit all those years ago but I certainly wasn't disappointed. Our Single Fish suppers (with a gravy on the side) were still toasty warm when we got to Balloch (Duck bay area) and we thoroughly enjoyed them sitting on the wall, overlooking the Loch. Food was excellent, price was decent and the service friendly. What more could you want?

Binned, foods not good especially curry sauce it was tasteless thick gloop not for me

Just got the most amazing pizza cheese, tomatoes & onion. Honestly beats Dominos ... shattered but really had to take the time to review & very fast delivery ******

Avoid this place. Gave my mum food poisoning and my parents have used it for years.

Really hope this place reopens in the future, it had the best food in this part of Glasgow

Each time i come back there is a new disappointment. A 20 min wait for just a bag of chips in practically an empty shop.

Ordered 2 large kebabs and 2 sauces and was charged £18 inc delivery. The exact same order on just eat inc delivery is only £15. Apparently just eat haven’t updated their “new menu” which is more expensive. Or maybe they are just making their prices up as it suits them…

Their Fish is nice, Chicken Nuggets are nice, sausage suppers aren't that good neither is their batter, I think the batter should've been cooked longer or made differently as I bought a sausage supper and the batter just fell apart and tasted horrible. And that's not the way I like my sausage suppers.

Shocking service just waited an hour and 30 minutes to be told when I phoned back that they didn’t have a order for me Absolute joke

Pizza and kebab are delicious and will go back again

Has an unfair reputation at times where people like to put it down because it’s the biggest in knightswood. Lots of fake reviews here. I’ve been ordering from Freddie for 10+ years, maybe once out of those years I’ve been let down. Some people don’t understand food, if it’s not yellow they won’t eat it. Confused by real Food. Overall food is good. Chicken kebab is top notch. Guys will adjust order to suit you. Price is fair due to the quality. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered a 10"pizza...took an hour and a half to arrive...when I called to enquire about estimated delivery I found the guy answering phn rather rude and abrasive...told me it was out for delivery, yet it took another 30mins to arrive...This establishment is less than 10mins from my home...when the food arrived, the pizza was barely cooked! The base was not cooked!!! Was equivalent to having a sandwich with bit of cheese on!!! Will not order from here again, nor would I recommend...poor service and extremely poor food!

Wide variety of foods, my favourite south Indian garlic chilli chicken, but so much to choose from pizza's, kebabs chippie foods, ice cream mmmm

Just got two large chicken kebabs, large chicken pakora and large donner. I can honestly say it was the best takeaway we've had in a long time and all for under £25. Massive portions, tasted fresh and the chicken pokora is the benchmark for all other takeaways. Drove from dumbarton and it was worth it. Only place I'm going from now on, highly recommend.

Every time a get a burger from here i always ask without salad or onions and surprise surprise Every time a get home there's always salad and onions on the burger. Last time am ordering from there

Great service, food is quality. order on just eat though as the staff do not listen to what you want, nice people but a bit DEAF :)

Greasy food pretty much a chippy with not much else also this place needs the environmental health looking into the food quality and how long the ice cream has been in the freezers they can't make pizza as its not tomato base sauce and just awfully bad I recommend you avoid this hell of a place please.

Food inedible fish supper and sausage supper binned, won't be back didn't even ordered a fish suppe,r should have been a black pudding batter was like sponge.

Got 16 inch pizza and 2 bags of chips pizza amazing as usual chips could have been a bit better to many ends .

First & last time I'll buy from this place I wouldn't have fed it 2 a dog. Then when complaining that it was 're heats greasy disgusting..Chips were all different colours they blamed it on the potato suppliers.The attitude of staff was a disgrace.I was 2 walk back a 15 min walk in freezing cold to get the same food made by the same person ,No chance Customer service is nil eventually after 4 calls & a wait they got a delivery driver to pick up that what they called food & I got a refund

Worst pizza ever unless you like a breadstick base with a sugary sauce . Stodgy, Bland pakora. Went straight in the bin.

Randomly called me when the place isn't even open. I've never heard of this place so I have no idea how they got my number, why they're calling me or how they got my number. Very unprofessional to be calling random folk outside of work hours, regardless of how they got my number.. strange behaviour.

My son ordered a buffet for his 30th birthday party ......food was an hour late ,which ment the disc jockey had to wait ..at my sons expense, When the food EVENTUALLY arrived they had forgotten to send rice for the currys . After phone calls the rice EVENTUALLY arrived . Sorry freddies food club NOT GOOD ENOUGH . If you are going to provide this service ,the least you can do is GET IT RIGHT ,!! I wouldnt recomend freddies for this service

Their Veg Biryani is the best and always a huge portion.

Got 14 inch pizza today 01/03/21 it was very poor, ordered double chicken, ham and peppers on it, not much of anything on it. I will not buy again from here.

No fritters. Poor service. Chips OK but £1.75 a bag.

One of the best 3 in one type takeaways in the area. Unfortunately they regularly forget to include items you have ordered, usually sides like poppadoms, coleslaw etc. 8/10 times if you order from the chippy and ask for salt n vinegar they forget to do that too. A real shame as the food is excellent value for money. If ordering you need to spell out what you want and I advise checking your items BEFORE the delivery driver leaves whilst dropping it off.

Fantastic pizza: it goes all the way to the edge and is one of the best ones I've ever had. God help you if you have to talk to them on the phone, though--they're the most rude place I've ever encountered. Only order online if you can help it.

7 bits a chicken per curry every curry every meal!

Ordered two tango ice blasts, chips and cheese and chicken nuggets with chips. The delivery was early to my surprise but I was immediately disappointed when the two tango ice blasts we had ordered had not arrived with our food without explanation the delivery man wasn’t short to rush off after being quite rude. The food had came to over £10 despite us not receiving the ice blasts we had ordered. When we sat down to eat the chips where stinking and the cheese was rock solid, food has now gave me stomach ache. Safe to say I will never order from this place again.

I love freddies but was majorly let down tonight when I phoned and ordered my food and was told it would be 45 mins, gave it 55 mins phoned them back and they had said it left the shop at 7:35 it wouldn’t be long as the driver was only out with 2 and 1 was only along the road, left it another 10 mins phoned the shop back and that’s when the driver chapped my door, I said to him that I had phoned the shop and they said he had left half an hour ago and hoping my food wasn’t cold which of course was freezing, SHOCKING!!! Waste of money and my time! So guys if you want hot food I strongly advise you to order else where, just to mention this isn’t the 1st time this has happened hence this review,

Love the fish and chips. Not a bad item on the menu.

Asked for mixed veggie pakora and they charged me for chicken pakora prices. When we got home the portion was reasonably poor compared to other places.

Don't order baked potato with chilli why I thought chilli had mince but of it baked potato with chilli con carne not!!! what I got was asked potato with spicy beans yuk to both

Waited an hour for fritters and they are under cooked and full of grease disgusting to satay the least I am disappointed the last time I ordered they took 14 pound order out of my bank 3 rimes I have contacted Freddie’s about this matter and waiting on another portion of fritters I am watching the time as I’m about a minute drive away and I can say I will never use them again .

Don't go there if you value your health

Massive menu with lots of curries, kebabs, pizzas, fish and chips and ice cream. However food is just okay and prices are high compared to some of the local competition. On top of that there has been historical rat problems here that led to a closure in the past. Still puts me off!

Rubbish the chip shop stuff is always greasy and cold charge you £2.30 for ltre of irn brew which is robbery won.t be back

We don't say we are going for food, a curry or a munch. We just say we are going for a Freddies.

Cold, wrong items, missing parts of the order. Was in there waiting nearly 20 mins, shop was messy, staff were rude, they tried to add up the order in their head so end the end it took 3 of them and a calculator to decide it'd be best if they use the till. We were ordering 6 things, 4 from the chippy section & 2 pakora wouldn't like to think how they would be able to deal with anything larger.

Got a good selection of foods. You get what you ask for and not much more can be said about a fast food takeaway.

Lovely food as always can't fault that. Delivery experience is one of the worst from any takeaway , on many occasions we've gonna to sit down to our usual Saturday takeaway from Freddies and some of the family had there order or part of there order missing more often that not this is the case .

Best curries, pizza, kebabs, in fact everything is gorgeous. Also very friendly staff and the nicest delivery guys aswell!! Highly recommended!!

They got my order wrong over the phone, then in the shop. When I then asked them to correct it the person on the phone said 'what you want me to do about it' - as a result of them getting the pizza wrong the rest of the order was then cold. Waste of time and money.
