I was disappointed with the level of cleanliness when I visited the Metrocentre branch. Food & drink spilt on the booth seats had gone unnoticed & so hadn't been cleaned. The friendly waitress showed my hubby & me to the booth, which I pointed out was dirty & had napkins on the floor, seats & condiments. We were moved to a different table, which too was unclean. Sticky table, napkins strewn on the floor again & even the menus we were given were grubby. I simply couldn't eat anything, with the view that if this is how they present front of house, then God knows what it's like behind the scenes. The waitress who attended to us was friendly & polite, but this didn't make up for the restaurant defecits. I expected better & didn't get it. You have been warned.

Went today with my daughter & friends for lunch. The bolognese was like gravy & spaghetti and my daughter couldn’t even eat it. Pizza was so bland and the chips were burnt. We got 3 pastas & one pizza & 4 soft drinks and the bill come to £82. Very over priced for poor quality food. Shame as this restaurant used to be lovely

I visited Frankie and bennies in the metro centre Wednesday evening with my friend and my two children. My friend asked at the front of the restaurant if the kids eat free was on due to it being half term. The staff were abrupt as if we had interupted something more important but then said yes. We were seated and 5 minutes later was asked what we wanted. I asked if we could have more time which we was given. The food came , the kids meals were mixed up and when I said the sides were mixed up the server looked at me as if I had just insulted her. She sorted out the problem and I said thank you. After we had finished we had waited over 10 minutes to get the table cleared as everyone was avoiding our table so when it was we asked for the bill. The bill had been calculated wrong with the kids meals still on there so we asked and the server replied " you didn't tell me you wanted that deal". Which we were abit taken aback by. They sorted it. We paid and didn't leave a tip on the card machine. And before we could say thank you the server threw the receipt at us and said nothing. As we got up and left noone said bye or thanks for coming. The whole experience was awful and made us feel unwelcome. I shall not be going back as the staff were rude and very unwelcoming. 👍🏻 Shame as the food was nice.

Ordered via Just Eat and waited an hour and a half with Just Eat saying the food would be delivered within 40-60 minutes. No communication, nobody answered the phone despite multiple attempts to ring restaurant. They clearly just didn’t check if they had any orders through, Bit of a shambles if I’m honest, don’t run a delivery option if you’re management team haven’t got the skills to run it.

Today me and my family came here to enjoy a nice meal. Greeted by a lovely girl who took us to our table. A few minutes later, our server came over who was ‘JEN’. Jen came over and asked us what we wanted, we said 3 children’s drinks and 2 refills. For her to say in a very rude manor ‘I don’t know why your having refills, they should be telling people we aren’t doing it because of bank holiday’ I said oh we rung up, spoke to the manager on shift and she did not mention anything. To then which ‘JEN’ said they gave coke (refills) out for GCSE people so didn’t have enough to give us ours. I think the shock on our face at how she spoke to my family, she then said ‘just have it’ as though it was an inconvenient to have asked for a Coke Refill. When we received our drinks and we were asked what we would like to eat, I said could we do the 3 course offer and the kids meals. She said to my family at our table ‘why are they telling people we are doing 3 course, I’m sick of telling people we aren’t doing it’ to which I replied, I rung and spoke to the manager and she was more than happy to do the 3 courses which we enquired about. ‘JEN’ then walked away from our table and said to her fellow team members ‘Why they telling people we’re doing the 2/3 course menu when we aren’t’ then said it to another member of staff and then again to another one. To the point she couldn’t have been anymore louder, making my family feel uncomfortable with her remarks through no fault of our own. 5 minutes later ‘JEN’ returned back to our table with the 3 course offer menu, placed it on our table and as I went to pick it up (JEN) took it out my hand and turned it over, slammed it down on the table, then said it’s that side in an un pleasant manner. At this point, we were in disbelief at how inappropriate ‘JENS’ attitude was. Few minutes later ‘JEN’ came over to take our order, she lent her knee into our chair (booth table 5) which wasn’t appropriate to do whilst taking our order. As we were saying what we’d like, she screamed in my ear whilst taking our order to the people at the bar saying ‘What they doing’. To which I said- Is it one of those days and then ‘JEN’ replied saying, I just don’t know why their telling people you can have refills and do the different this point the whole downstairs we’re looking at us, as though we did something wrong. At this point, I began to feel uncomfortable and in shock at how our server ‘JEN’ behaved towards us. As she took our order, then walked away. We were still mortified at how we’d been treated. Not only us but you could see staff members thinking the exact same as ourselves, as they were shocked. ‘Jen’started telling us about how she had to leave for her bus and another staff member was late, as took his car to the garage. It’s not what a family wants to hear whilst their out having a nice meal. Working with the public, she should have left her problems at the door, not gone on to us about her personal problems which was irrelevant to me and my family. A few minutes later, another server came over called Jade who couldn’t do enough for us. She went above and beyond for us, which changed our experience from our previous server ‘JEN’ and made it an enjoyable experience. Jades a credit to have to your team! Also massive thank you to Holly! Rest assured we will be back.

We both ordered a margherita pizza and it was one of the worst pizzas we've ever had. One had a small amount of cheese, the other had almost none. It was a thin, tasteless bit of dough and the tomato sauce did not have any flavour. The fries were scrawny. The only thing that had any taste was the garlic dip, but it still wasn't great. F&B's used to be great, but it's atrocious now. I will never go back. The price is shocking for the quality.

Visited with my wife and daughter and ordered a two course option. My daughter ordered a pepperoni pizza, my wife the chicken burger and I ordered the bolognaise . You can’t get a pizza wrong, my wife commented the chicken burger wasn’t great most of which she left and just ate the chips. That left mine, the bolognaise. It arrived looking like fettuccini pasta in gravy with the least amount of mince and a smaller sprinkling of cheese on top. It also tasted like pasta in gravy. I clear my plate always, I ploughed on but couldn’t finish it. To be fair the lady who served us asked me if the meal was fine so I told her and she arranged to remove it from the bill. Staff were great, food very poor. We won’t be back.

Food was absolutely disgusting, way overpriced and clearly never been anywhere near a "chef". Server was very pleasant though. Would liken this experience to the food served at a supermarket cafe but made with cheaper ingredients and triple the price. Lesson learned!

I ordered a "traditional fry up" and a black coffee. When Dan came back to the table to check that "everything was ok", I pointed out that I wasn't going to eat most of the meal, as it was disgusting. I told him the bacon was very undercooked and the sausages were tasteless mush, the worst I'd ever had. I told him that I was starving, having not eaten since the previous lunch time, so I felt I had to eat some of the meal, although I wanted him to take most of it back to the kitchen. I then suggested that he consider the TripAdvisor review that I was planning to write. I said that if the bill seemed reasonable to me, I'd write a positive review, mentioning how friendly, attentive and professional he'd been, but if I thought the bill was unreasonable, I might take a different stance. He said he'd talk to his manager. He brought the bill, and the manager had taken £2.49 from the total, which was almost the cost of the coffee, which was very nice, but I was still expected to pay for the breakfast, which wasn't.

My wife and I tried breakfast here I had a large breakfast and she had eggs Benedict all was lovely and the waiting staff were great.

Jenny was outstanding with her customer service. From start to finish. We went for breakfast and loved it! I’ll deffo return!

Visited the Metrocentre restaurant on 31/11/2022 with my partner and had ordered 2 meals. We were asked if we were happy to receive the pizza 7-8 minutes before the burger as it was already prepared, this was refused as we wanted to eat together. Our meals then arrived very promptly only a couple of minutes later. After starting our meals we found that the pizza was burnt and the burger grey with no colour and very undercooked after having a few bites! When the waitress came round we explained the issue and the meal was taken away, we refused a replacement meal and was therefore offered half price on the food… All in all we paid just shy of £20 for half a pizza eaten, a few cold chips and 2 glasses of coke (not acceptable). Around an hour or so later we had to abandon our Christmas shopping as I felt very ill (I had the burger) and have spent the last 24 hours on the toilet! Avoid this restaurant at all costs if you want to be fit and well this festive period.

£84 for a family treat. Food was terrible. Recipes obviously been changed, pasta over cooked and tasteless. Didn’t stick around for dessert. Prices shocking considering the quality. Only thing decent was the waitress who served us. I didn’t have the heart to tell her exactly what I thought of the food. Such a shame as we used to like this particular restaurant. Also no longer accept blue light card for discount, obviously don’t feel they want to thank their emergency services any more. Won’t return.

We went today with the kids for some lunch. The food was really good, we couldn't fault it. The waitress was attentive and nice to at the start. We paid the bill but had no change to leave a tip. Once the waitress realised there was no tip she couldn't have been ruder, her head went down and could barely speak to us. We were packing our stuff up and I noticed she said something to the manager as he looked over at us. I said bye and thank you but she couldn't even look at me. Made me feel very uncomfortable and to be honest we won't be back after that.

This widely known restaurant advertised as American-Italian diner was a massive let down, the food which was lovely was cold and overpriced. The staff at this branch were loud and rude. Have been to other branches of the diner and had a wonderful experience.

Today me and my hubby thought we would try something different big mistake we were seated quickly and drink and food orders taking waited nearly 10mins for to cokes and they were sat on the bar for half this time starters came Hubbie enjoyed his chicken wings my potato skins were awful burnt and hard couldn’t stomach them was looking forward to our mains which arrived very quickly really disappointed with burger it was really fatty and watery I had one bite and partner had one but struggled to swallow chips were ok sauce must have been left out as the top of them had a skin on just awful we did advise the waiter on this when he asked how was the food I was dying to get my desert as by then I was starving I ordered cheese cake salted Carmel and hubbie wanted fruit and yoghurt although we were then advised they had no yogurt so he got the same as my I enjoyed my cheese cake but by then i was so hungry my partner didn’t really enjoy and also said it tasted like the cake was cut with the same knife for the onions yuk

Our breakfast of eggs benedict was cooked by an artist! The waitress Jenny was a credit to the company, always there when needed, very friendly made us feel like part of the family. Highly recommended, will go back again without hesitation. Very well done!

Visited the restaurant for lunch today after visiting the cinema in the metro centre. Despite being busy we were seated promptly. We chose our drinks and meals at the same time. We were served by JORDAN A. She was really lovely and we had a good laugh about my daughters strange pizza choices. ( she like pepperoni and pineapple) The food arrived very quickly and was a good meal as usual. Jordan was very helpful checking our meals were ok and asking if we needed anything. Despite being super busy she cleared our plates away and brought the children’s puddings very quickly. I noticed that she was very cheery and bubbly with all the customers which was very nice to see.

Service was slow, food was cold and burger bun was sogging wet, had to be taken back to be told the lettuce makes it wet! (Never experienced a lettuce causing that much wetness to a bun before) paying the bill, was asked if I wanted change.

We went to Frankie & Benny's at the metro centre for an early birthday treat. Both myself and my partner had the 2 courses for £9.99 from their dinner menu. My partner had the chicken burger and waffles for dessert and I had the chicken burger and brownies. It was delicious. Burger was cooked perfectly where it wasn't under/over cooked and still juicy and not dry, chips were crispy, brownies soft and chewy. We were served by a very polite and helpful lady called Jenny. The place was filling up fast with it being lunch time but she was always dropping

Having been to Frankie and Bennys in Newcastle we thought we’d try this one .we were very well looked after from the start great service and really quick ,our server Miri was great very friendly and the food was very good we had the lunch time special excellent value ,we couldn’t take full advantage of it because the portions were so generous I had to have mine boxed up it was delicious .i would certainly return here it’s so reasonable compared to other restaurants around,can’t fault it

Went here with my wife yesterday for a bite to eat. It was busy so had to wait 10 minutes for a table. There is no waiting area as such, just a bar that was busy so we had to stand awkwardly and wait for a table. We then got a table and food was ordered. Food was nice and quick to come out. New menu doesn’t seem that different so had the chicken wrap and we both enjoyed it. Bit confusing on who our server was as a women took out order and then a guy brought the food over. Only thing that did annoy me was how many times we got asked if we had finished cuz they wanted the table, felt like we were being kicked out which wasn’t great. Don’t think we will go back, isn’t a great experience.

Stood waiting outside for nearly 8 minutes just to be seated eventually the bar man walked over I asked if we could sit up stairs and was abruptly told no it’s closed and led us to a dirty table on an angle not straight to the chairs put menus down and walked away I tried twice to speak to him he kept walking away sat down got some pasta and sauce on my boot of the leg of the table was the last straw got up and left

Good, but not great, considering the price. We had pizza, wrap, loaded fries and the salmon Mediterranean salad. Staff polite and efficient. Nice food, but a little expensive for what you get.

Visited here with my partner on Sunday afternoon. We were served by Ami, and I must say she was fantastic! Very attentive, polite, well mannered and all round gave fantastic service! The food and drink was lovely aswell. Will definitely be back to this branch!

Overall, a pretty nice burger and wrap meal for Frankie and Benny's. This one is located in the Metro Centre near the Cinema. I would probably eat here again, especially as you are able to use a tastecard.

We dinned at Frankie & Bennys for my daughters 12th Birthday, but we wont return. We told the waitress who seated us that it was her birthday celebration, but no fuss was made of her. The food was nice and can not be faulted. It was tasty and came to the table hot and quickly but the waiter was more interested in talking to the guy poring the drinks. I asked for tomato sauce, and Im still waiting... The service let them down in this occasion

Every time we have a meal here it arrives quickly even on days when it is busy. A credit to the staff who are great and friendly. Also by using a voucher for your meals makes the prices far more reasonable as full price can be on pricey side. Every meal arrives as ordered , unlike other places I've eaten and the waiter/ waitress does not listen and you get the wrong order.

We had the three courses for under £14 a head. Fantastic. Mark our waiter was very friendly, attentive and efficient. Service was very good. We would recommend this to anyone. Well done.

We ate breakfast here in a near empty restaurant. My husband was served the most disgustingly undercooked bacon, no trouble however for it to be taken back and cooked a little more. The orange juice was watery and disappointing and not cheap. My scrambled eggs were more like an omelette! They were also covered in chopped chives, not good. We didn’t stay for coffee as even though the place was empty staff seemed keen to get us out!

Visited with daughter in law and the 2 granddaughters on Monday evening. From the very outset, Ami was attentive and so polite and helpful and her customer service was exceptional, if only every establishment had an Ami.

We visited the Metro Centre restaurant after a disastrous visit to the one in Southport and it really was a game of two halves - a totally different experience.

We had never been to a Frankie and Benny’s before so we didn't know what to expect. We ordered and found that it was very good value. Our food come quite quick, and tasted really good. Overall, good atmosphere, service and food. Will come again

My friends and I decided to go for lunch here and have a catch up after our shoppig spree together, we hadn't been for sometime. Service and food was as good as ever! Guys were friendly and efficient. Will be back after our next shopping spree ha. Thanks guys.

We went to the metrocentre frankie and bennys after a trip to the conema. Our waitress was Natalie and all I can say is she was fantastic lovely personality and couldn’t do enough, even changed our sons garlic bread when it was a little tough. Thanks Natalie well done

We ordered the Viva la Vegan burger and ice cream sundae for dessert. Amazing food and the staff are so switched on, genuinely motivated and create a lovely atmosphere. Definitely going back.

We come to frankie nd bennys alot in the metrocentre and every time we are greeted in a very welcoming manner. One staff named jenny who I have know just by being a customer is always super helpful. She is easy to talk to and as I come in with my brother who is wheelchair bound and has learning disabilities it's nice to see someone go out of their way on a busy shift and talk to him. He thoroughly enjoys coming to f&bs; for food but loves to see jenny too.

Came in this morning for breakfast and greeted by a nice gentleman who interacted with my daughter and as a mum it is very important to keep the children happy and she was very excited to have her breakfast and colouring pack. A new manager called Nick was very helpful when wanting some extra eggs on our breakfast as my daughter loves them, very accommodating and helpful. We will be back. Food great as usual and service was fantastic.

As a quick stop off for dinner we received great service with nice tasty food at great value. Couldn’t ask for more

The starters came out cold and the garlic bread was drowning in grease.. The mains weren’t much better.. The 1 star was for the nice lady serving on! Absolutely terrible food and the new menu and deco are as bad as the food!

Service is canny. Called in Sunday morning for breakfast. Its what you'd expect, good fried breakfast, unlimited coffee refills, coffee was a bit bland.
