Think it's over priced for what you get gone down hill a lot from previous experience service not like used be at end when me and family member when to pay they couldn't separate bill like used to young girl said don't do that anymore don't except nhs card cause new year don't have calculater to work our bill out to separate wasn't happy at all and en they tried charging service charge on our bill which was 16 pound wasn't impressed at all and definitely want be returning

Staff friendly but overworked. Burger was small and abit burnt..'Relish'was basically 1 tiny sliver of soggy shredded lettuce. No tomato/cheese/onion/sauce. I did ask was it supposed to come like this and I was given a small bowl of shredded lettuce. The halloumi was quite burnt and dry. The chips were nice but the portion quite small. Abit disappointing. I won't be rushing back unfortunately.

Great night on NYE Demi made our evening ver special. Such a friendly, pleasant young lady , nothing was too much trouble for our large party. Meals were all lovely and hot and very tasty .

Not sure what's happened to this once great family chain but its getting worse with each visit and that's not specific to any one out let. Nice guy serving but the food took ages and the quality has gone badly downhill. Will be avoiding F&B in the future.

Been dining at Frankie’s the past few weeks when our son is at Drama and the food and service is always brilliant and delicious.

Really lovely visit to Merthyr frankie & bennies. Staff were more than helpful. Lovely service. Very friendly. Had lovely little stories to tell my daughter about f&b’s naughty little Xmas elves that were hanging from the lights and ceiling. 😆 Takeaway dessert too :) thank you for a lovely meal.

Always had great service here, tbh we only go when there’s an offer in which seems to be happening more and more. You know what you’re getting, always clean, always consistent. New menu- horrible. Very little choice. Pasta pizza or a burger.

Worst dining experience ever. When ordering literally everything we selected on the menu we were told "i dont know if well have that" and then After waiting an hour and half and watching everyone who came in after us get served first we asked where our food was the waiter said he didn't know and asked the kitchen who didn't know either so we said forget it just bill us for the drinks but they disappeared for another while when my husband went to look for someone they showed up with our food stone cold and offered only a free drink as apology. Needless to say I sent my food back and didn't pay for it. No one knows what their doing there and you will be forgotten about it seems.

Tried the Festive Menu. Really enjoyed the festive meatballs. Sue was amazing, very attentive and friendly. Keep up the great work.

Emergency cord in the disabled bathroom was too high up. People need to be able to reach it if they fall.

Disappointing meal, I believe I was given breaded butter milk chicken instead of a chick breast. Service was shocking, waited a hour for food to be cooked due to just eat orders taking priority. (Although it was empty here) Following this we were given a desert menu, which followed another 35 minute wait?! As for atmosphere as long as you enjoy a phone constantly ringing you would love it here.

The man who served us was lovely, very personal had heard me calling my daughters name and addressed her by hers, warm, caring and without needing to ask for anything he would bring things before I thought. So lovely, havent been here for a long time but felt this member of staff really made the whole feeling a nicer one. 💙💙

Overwhelmingly underwhelming. Poor quality food, dirty tables, overpriced.

The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. Joe instantly accommodated my mother who is currently in a wheelchair so we were delighted with that. So a brilliant service as well as brilliant food. A very enjoyable experience and will come again.

Can’t fault the service of the staff especially the bar staff Gareth. But the new menu what can I say about the menu so much choice I couldn’t choose so I gave Tracy for a recommendation and she suggested the block party platter (highly recommend )

Amazing new menu. Block party platter was great and I even have supper sorted. Finished off nicely with a strawberry meringue sundae.

I've deleted my previous positive five star review. Today's visit confirmed a suspicion from a previous visit a few months ago. The standard has suffered a major decline since the new management took over. We had the Spaghetti Bolognese today and wondered where the meat was. Having eaten the pasta we discovered the Bolognese was so watery and oily it had sunk to the bottom of the dish. The music is far too loud, and the atmosphere is more reminiscent of a cheap nightclub. The only saving grace was the staff who are working hard to satisfy costumers despite the working conditions. This visit confirmed my commitment to eat at the much better Nantgarw restaurant in future.

Bit of a wait to be served but otherwise a nice time was had. Had to unfortunately send my food back as it was very cold as a long wait, but was immediately rectifed upon telling the lovely waiting staff.

Service very good and staff friendly but food (calzone) was served cold and with raw dough - very unpleasant and inexcusable given that restaurant was not remotely busy so kitchen staff not performing e en basic checks of food serving temperatures - I cannot recommend but I might have just been unlucky. Restaurant resolved by not charging for the uncooked food

I haven’t long finished work and thought a bite to eat before going home, when I walked in the atmosphere was amazing and the server Caitlin was even better, all credit goes to the chefs and Caitlin

I was totally amazed how delicious the food was after speaking to a chef called Scott as I ve wanted to try the Manhatten Calzone and don't like spicy food and know there was meatballs in it and the meatballs starter is spicy I thought this would be the same but he really put my mind to rest and I really enjoyed it and wish I had tryed it sooner so a big thanks to Scott

Loved the food, had the buffalo fried and have been talking about them over the past day to anyone that will listen. Also service was brilliant from Harry. Unfortunately I don’t live in the area so won’t be back soon but will hopefully be back next time I’m in Merthyr.

Myself and my partner visited Frankie & Benny's Merthyr yesterday and had the most amazing experience! Staff made us feel very welcomed as soon as we walked in, everyone was smiley and kind and polite! Callum couldn't do enough for us he was absolutely amazing and was so well mannered, he made our evening! Highly recommend and we will be returning very soon

A lovely place to go have food with the family. They sang happy birthday and brought out cake for them. The food was absolutely lovely and so was the staff. I would defo go here again

Never again, side of broccoli was frozen and was asked if we wanted it reheated or a fresh one, obviously we asked for a fresh one only to be served the same one! Absolutely awful and it's not a cheap place to go. Avoid! On the way out we spotted this note.
