I love Jen Chang’s, Jen change gives me life. I always look forward to a Jen changs, I have starved myself all day looking forward to this and it did not dissapoint 10/10

Delicious food piping hot and very adequate portions for the price

I Came to wales to work for a week just outside of Meyther, after one of my days I went down into the town and stumbled across this place looking for food, having had a few bad Chinese's of late I thought I’d give this authentic looking place a try after seeing it had been in business for over 80 years! I visited on a Wednesday evening and there were 10 people inside ordering takeaway at 2030 which was a massive green flag to me! Wow , I will travel back up north at the end of this week wishing I could take this gem of a place with me! Theee freshest most tasty Chinese I’ve tasted for years! I highly recommend the Szechuan chicken and chicken chow mein, good prices too 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

'Classic' chinese takeaway, been there for years, great service (inc delivery) & the food is always good, well recommended. #UPDATE# Went there 7pm last nite 13/10/24, VERY busy but service was still as good, no problems.

Lovely Chinese but omg chips are gone worse and worse over the years so white raw undercooked and mush terrible chips need to sort it asap as Chinese is lovely

Food absolutely horrible, noodles were tasteless,sauces disgusting and rice not much better won't be ordering from here again

The food is delicious and the sweet and sour soup is the best.

Chip were nice but the house special fried rice and beef chow main were so dry I couldn't eat any of it so disappointed will never buy a takeaway from there again

Food tasty and hot, quick amd friendly service

I had Pork Fried Rice, absolutely fantastic, could eat three large ones, chicken and cashew nuts was tasty once I removed the peppers (I can't stand peppers), and the made us specially chicken and sweetcorn soup. Really good portion sizes, will say that they would benefit from having spicyness ratings on the menu (I'm very delicate) Staff were friendly, but no dilly-dallying. Cash Only

It was fab, 30 years ago. Best curry sauce and crinkle cut chips. Now..........? Update: 6th April 2023 - Best chips in town, have them open in a cone with proper salt and malt vinegar, huge portion. Best Chinese in town too, great portions and good big menu. Curry sauce pushing g towards "Hing Hongs, the best chinese curry sauce in the UK ever" (no longer available, God Bless Mai and the team) but needs to be a bit healthier and needs more pepper/chilli heat, that's my only negative, but over all very, very good. Get in there, you will not be disappointed.

Ordered a few things. Missis picked it up. She got home missing the special curry but they stuck another rice in instead somehow. The rice was drier than ghandi flip flops. The noodles are greasy and the chips tasted like they was cooked two days ago. Worst Chinese I've ever had. Revolting stay clear.

Lovely Chinese best in Merthyr. Genourous portion size. Food is always hot when I get it back, so doesn't need reheating. Chips are always a favourite with us as they are tasty 😋 Would highly recommend!

The original and the best Chinese takeaway in the South Wales valleys. For decades Jen Chang has provided good food served by polite and efficient staff. Highly recommended.
