Foxy Wings in Bedford

Food arrived and was underwhelming. Items were missing and clearly hadn’t been packed by Foxy Wings as they were part of a meal deal. Manager hid behind the fact that we ordered through Deliveroo and didn’t offer in any way to rectify the situation we were in. Told us to seek a refund through Deliveroo. However that does not help the situation in that moment….. family still hungry!! Overall the most expensive burgers we have ever eaten!!!!!! After being such huge supporters of this individual business and even crowdfunding this space I am hugely disappointed in the lack of customer service. I have recommended this restaurant numerous times. Missing items is not the issue, how management deal with that is the problem. Very very poor! If Foxy Wings choose to use Deliveroo then they must be prepared, particularly as an independent restaurant, to consider how your reputation could be damaged in situations such as this. The management were completely inflexible and didn’t seem to see the issue. Getting a refund in a couple of weeks time doesn’t ensure we all enjoy and eat a celebration meal together now!

Not eaten there only had drinks, choice of beers really good especially the Bosko 6.8% mmm

Decent grub... the moderate sticks... man alive they were good, not a bad dish between me and my mate sharing though so well done

First time there and it definitely won't be the last. The food was fresh, ingredients first class and well presented. Such a great mix of flavours. Staff were very polite and helpful and the restaurant is located in a picturesque area of Bedford. Well worth going and looking forward to going there again soon.

First time here, was pleased with the food, only thing was the service was slow.. The restaurant itself is a very relaxing atmosphere and decor is nice.

The customer service, music and interior design was on point. The food was good too I highly recommend the gong bao wings. Everything tasted good except for the chips as were too salty. We had the lunchtime meal deal for £7.50 which was very reasonable. The waiter was very friendly, attentive and really passionate about the food.

Excellent restaurant. Visit last Friday night for dinner with no booking. Greeted warmly and received great service from our waitress, Betty. Great food arrived (it was delicious). This is an independent restaurant in Bedford Town located in a modern building which is kept surreptitiously clean even during the busiest periods of service. An absolute gem. If you are looking for good service, good food and good vibes, dont bother going anywhere else in town.

Honestly the best wings I have ever had!

Wings were excellent for the whole party, really stand out. Cauli was very good too and the vegetarians felt strongly catered for. Sides good (fries, rice, cucumber salad) although note the kimchi is very small. Drinks took a long time to come and cocktails had mixed reviews with some of us liking them and some indifferent. Waiting staff friendly. Overall experience was something different, with very good mains, and fun.

I was asked out for a meal here and really didn't know what to expect. I found a wonderful, welcoming restaurant with attentive, friendly staff and excellent food. I was very impressed with the decor and the amazing plants. I will certainly be going back here again and urge others to try it.

My family and I go to Foxy Wings quite regularly and it suddenly occurred to me that I haven’t written a well-deserved review. We visited again last night and as always, the experience was fantastic! The decor is trendy and unique, the food is unbelievable and the service, particularly from Aprille, was the best! She was attentive, professional, funny and polite. I’m not even vegetarian, but the Gochujang cauliflower wings and the new chickpea and feta salad was unbelievable! When the meat-free options are just as delicious, you still leave the restaurant so satisfied. And don’t even get me started on that Nutella and Oreo brownie. My husband is still raving about it! Foxy Wings never disappoints!

This is a great place, and there are so many things to like about it. The decor is colourful, fun and imaginative, and the staff were very welcoming. The food was lovely; the menu has obviously been created by a chef who loves food and has a keen understanding of flavours, and the use of mostly local produce was an added bonus. I had the the chickpea salad and the smokestack - both fabulous. I can't wait to go back and eat my way through the rest of the menu! The only little niggle I had was not being able to find a cocktail that I liked the look of, but was a tiny hiccup in the evening. Both my companion and I enjoyed the evening immensely, and will be going back. Soon.

Went in as we wanted something different was lovely decor the food was great just had to wait a bit long for service but would definitely go again.

The food in this place is amazing, we ate 2 times from them, one in the restaurant and one an take away order, both experiences where amazing. The staff where very friendly and they could do the special exception to acept our assistance Dog to the venue💜 The only thing I can say is the place it's a little bit noisy and bussy so recommended to book a table.

Service was really good, food was good but I've had better wings and for the price (5pound for three flats...) you'd expect them to be god teir wings but they were just okay... the beers they had on tap on the other hand were exceptional. Overall probably wouldn't visit again too expensive for a cheap cut of meat. They are making some serious mark up.

We decided to give this restaurant a second chance after having a bad first experience of front of house staff . We walked into the restaurant and we're told To take a seat and the waitress would be with us shortly . We waited for 10 minutes and weren't seen so we decided to move into the centre of the restaurant to make ourselves more visible and we're again ignored repeatedly by 2 waitresses who walked past us several times and failed to come over to serve us . Unfortunately we won't be returning

This used to be a really nice place to dine in. I have delivered from them a few times now and disappointing to say, each time it just gets worse and worse. Assuming the kitchen is no longer ran by black people. Very small portions sizes. Very over done chicken. Very unsatisfying. Won’t be ordering from or eating in again. Was very promising but has quickly gone down the pan in recent months 👎🏾

Really great food - it’s nice to have some wings that have had some love. The buffalo burger was great - appreciate them using thigh rather than the bland breast. Service was excellent too. They were genuinely interested if we enjoyed the food. Gave our son a Bueno brownie on the house as it was his birthday. Thanks Sam and team 👍🏻

2022: Just tried this Bedford gem after hearing rave reviews. I can confirm it lives up to the hype. I wish I'd taken pictures of the interior as it's very groovy (murals painted by Katie Allen, Bedford's resident artist)! We loved the atmosphere and the food was incredibly tasty - all very flavourful, delicious and innovative. We ordered the Plain Jane wings with the Sriracha & honey sauce, their corn elotes, the miso greens and a salad. Every dish was wonderful; the wings are next level and well worth it. It's slightly on the pricier side vs other eateries in Bedford but as I said it's worth it. We came in with our 18-month old daughter and they took excellent care of us (high chair available, kids' menu, very thoughtful and kind service). Edit March 2023: we come here all the time, the food is still incredible. I just had their new Umami Tsunami burger, I couldn't slow myself down to savour it, it was too delicious!

We went there Saturday night and waited about 15 minutes for orders to be taken then another hour to be served any food! They simply can not manage it on a busy night.Ordered large portion of chicken wings for starters for 9 pounds and that gives you 7 pices of coated wings and they call it large! Honestly, did not like them, they were hard, dry and didn't taste anything special. We had Burgers for mains and they were ok nothing special, they had vegetarian options too which were nice. You could have KFC quarter of the bill and enjoy it more and I mean it.Staff was very friendly though have to say.

A truly brilliant local independent, serving great wings with a range of options to suit every taste and age. Locally sourced beers and ingredients, in-house recipes, caters to all dietary requirements, and a great atmosphere to boot. If you get the chance to sit outside with a beer and wings on a sunny day watching over the river, it's well worth the trip.

really slow service - waited 15 minutes for two bottled drinks and an hour for two wraps! they didn’t actively check up on us and there was no communication between staff. when the food eventually arrived, it wasn’t even a ‘wrap’ it was chicken on top of a naan instead of inside! there was chillis and tomato hidden underneath which wasn’t mentioned on the menu. the chicken was extremely hard to cut because of how much batter there was - and they weren’t possible to eat by hand. will not be coming back again.

Everytime we come home to bedford we make sure to take a trip to foxy wings! Perfect service and food everytime, we suggest trying the honey siracha wings!

Went here on a Friday evening with friends. It was very busy which was great for the atmosphere. The food was great. My only slight criticism was how slow the service was for drinks. Would go back though.

Wow! Absolutely loved this restaurant. Great vibe and fab setting beside the river. Great menu. We ordered a selection of the wings (strips). Meat was tender, flavoursome and delicious. The hot wings were hot! Would definitely return.

Going to "Foxy Wings" is always such a magical, fun and uplifting experience. The food is absolutely delicious and filled with flavour. The customer service is outstanding.

The pheasant staff went here for our staff party. The food was great, the staff were lovely and we had a great time. Would highly recommend

Staff were lovely, service was good, food tasty, would have been four stars, but The menu was printed in a fine dark grey font onto a coloured background. The lighting was at ambient level I struggled to read it . I was so embarrassed having to leave the table and stand by the front windows trying to decipher the text. I’ll not be returning soon

Loved it! I do prefer the summer wings (Indian summer wings) but the new recipe wasn’t bad either. The burger was amazing and so was the dessert. Their hot chocolate was really fancy and pretty but it was pretty watery. Will be back!!

Surprised this isn't a chain yet - but give it a few years and they'll hopefully expand like Nandos! Lovely food and great sized portions (don't fear the small portions will be too small). Nice selection of draft ales and beers too.

One of the best chicken wings around town. The location was great near the river bank. The staff were friendly and they offer great hospitality as well as food and beverages.

What a shame. Food was tasty however the service was awful, we were one of only 4 tables yet the staff had little interest in us taking an age to take our order & then a long wait on the food to arrive. We never asked how the meal was or if we required any other drinks or deserts. Disappointed overall

There is nothing but great things to say about this place. The staff are amazing, super friendly, welcoming and nothing is ever too much bother. The food is incredible, amazing flavours and all cooked to perfection in house. Top tip? Get a cocktail! The mint choc chip martini is amazing 🤩

Fantastic place, the dishes are changed regularly and it's all mega tasty. The selection of beer is incredible, the cocktails are delicious and staff friendly. The venue affords a nice view for watching the world (and the river) flow by you. Ordering through go-getters is also a boon if I can't get in to town on a busy work day. Stay Foxy Bedford!

This evening, my family & I dined at Foxy Wings, where we have been many times, and our experience remained delightful and pleasant in more ways than one. Greetly nicely at the door, helpful & friendly. We were served by Sam this evening and he attended to all our needs and was extremely polite and efficient. I also noticed him cleaning all the tables quickly and continued to close the far door properly that wouldn’t shut on its own. Kiddos to all the staff. Overall, excellent service & delicious food.

We were planning on going to another place to eat but we’re taken by surprise at this restaurant we tumbled upon. What unique combination of Indian and African cuisine, scrumptious food and great service by Sam who looked after us! Good ambience, comfortable seating and reasonably priced. Consistently smashing it. Exciting menu, great ambience, friendly team, and seriously good food. Love the gongbao chicken and umami cauli was excellent! Next looking to trying the guizhoi cheese sticks! New system of having waiters take your order makes everything smoother, previous app based system was a big frustrating. Foxy Wings! We come here every other week, the food is always incredible and the drink choices are great. Pomme Spritz (also highly recommend the new Smokin' Paloma cocktail) for me and my partner loves the Braybrooke Helles. We had the new Umami Tsunami burger (which was incredible) and the Korean wings🍗, honestly it never misses. Also Sam our server today was super friendly, great service!☺️ We'll be back! One of our favourite places to eat in Bedford! Highly recommended and I've already got work colleagues to come over from Northampton. 🤣

As a frequent customer, both in the restaurant and home deliveries, I can honestly say that every time has been amazing, I love trying the menu specials when they come out and have my favourite classics too. Highly recommend the bacon buffalo burger and the sriracha honey and Gong Bao wings (Cauli or chicken!!) The staff are always warm, welcoming, friendly and efficient, nothing is too much trouble. The Decor and location are just perfect. Good vibes and food, always.
