Pleasant cafe with friendly service but every item at breakfast seemed to be a different temperature. Nice coffee though.

We've tried to get in here every time we visit our daughter at Uni in Notts. We managed to get in for a cheeky coffee and cake before the train on my last day with her. When our drinks came, my daughter's was wrong. I explained to the waitress what she'd actually ordered. I was gobsmacked when we were told that she "wouldn't charge us this time, even though she'd had a sip"! I let it go, but then when she eventually came back with the correct drink, she lectured us again- saying that she got into a bit of trouble. I stepped in and said that she did order the drink she wanted, the waitress must have misheard. She then lectured my daughter on projecting her voice more! Unbelievable!! Ruined our last hour or so together and just not necessary or appropriate. I suggest you read the order back to your customers to make sure it's correct, as most cafés do. Not worth the wait to be spoken to like a child.

Great food, relatively fast service and a buzzing atmosphere. Fantastic location in the centre of the city. I'd recommend Fox Cafe on your next visit to Nottingham. You won't be disappointed!

I had the fox breakfast, nice but I felt it was well over priced for what was on the plate. Staff was great. Very small place and not enough space when eating as seats very close together.

Overrated. The cafe is busy and we waited for so long. Our food was cold when we got it. Some bacons were totally burnt. They hid it under. Can’t believe a cafe can serve black bacon.

Service was friendly, and the coffee was good The food was underwhelming. Dry sausages and claggy hash browns. Maybe I came in on an off day…

If you ever in Nottingham please visit this place , It's a absolute delight and if you live in Nottingham lucky you . Good things come in small packages it's a beautiful litte cafe great . Great atmosphere , service was friendly and efficient . Food I had a lovely breakfast panini, a great smoothie ( blue FOX ) the bannana bread was one of the best I've ever . Just like Arnie I'll be back .

Went for the breakfast paninis, shared half each with a friend so we could try both. Well worth it, vibrant flavours! Now the foxes smoothies are a must! The yellow fox definitely gets my recommendation. The banana bread though was the star od the show!! Top notch. The full English breakfasts also looked pretty great at the other table in there!

Nice atmosphere but didn’t stay long enough to try the food. Tried to order something to go and was told to wait by the door with a menu. Stood there for nearly 15 minutes and no one came to take my order. There was only a few people in the cafe and wasn’t busy at all. The staff would look at me but no one bothered to actually come over. Poor service and ridiculously overpriced.

Went this afternoon with 2 friends and can absolutely say the food was excellent, best chicken liver Pate I've had in years !!! Very friendly staff thank you and we be visiting again very soon xx

City breaks are the best, and when you can find nice places to eat, just like the Foy cafe make them even better. We visited on a Friday about 10.30 so had no wait to be seated, massive choice of food and drinks. Music in the background was nice, staff all attentive too. We've tried to visit a few times and always been greeted with quite a big queue, so no surprise how nice the food was.

Cute little cafe, loved the English breakfast although I wouldn't recommend the hot chocolate.

A great little cafe with adorable fox themed decor and latte art! The sharing charcuterie boards are excellent for an evening aperitif. On another occasion I’ve had a great working lunch here where I ordered a full English breakfast. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and buttery. Great veggie and vegan options too.

I absolutely love the Fox Cafe and come in most weekends to have a coffee, something to eat and read a book. Weird service today from older waitress when I asked to sit at the window table, I was told - “ well that section can sit three to four people so Id need to put you at a one person seat” This cafe has always operated on a first come service policy and I’ve sat at that seat with other strangers before. It’s soured the experience as there’s some lovely sweet girls that work here and I love the atmosphere but to be told I couldn’t pick a seat is seriously weird. Especially when it was 4pm and the place was pretty sparse and no one else was waiting!! Told my friend about this and she described the same waitress saying she’s had frosty service before so maybe not just me! Sad fox cafe, I’ll go somewhere else where I can pick my seat

A very welcome change from the pseudo coffee shops who claim to be American or Italian.... Attentive staff, nice decor. Unique Staff are always happy and smiling. Thanks for keeping your standards over many years.

Who doesn’t love toasted banana bread? Brave people - door open- wow! Now An update - I’ll toasted banana bread! However people watching has improved - the kids in earshot next to me appear to be on a first date! It is quite touching!

Came with my sister and baby nephew. Not much space, but staff were accommodating and wasn't made to feel awkward for having a baby with us. However wouldn't visit with kids in the future. Is more of a grown up/solo treat vibe.

I can’t rate the food as I wasn’t able to stay long enough. Upon entering I was confronted almost immediately and told that I couldn’t bring a pram inside. My child, who was only a few weeks old at the time, was sleeping and I was asked to leave them to one side while I sat with the rest my family. Needed to breastfeed but couldn’t do that comfortably without ‘getting in the way’. Staff suggested that I sit on one table with one child and husband sit with our son elsewhere. What if I was on my own? What if I was a wheelchair user, would I have to be put to one side while my family enjoyed lunch together? It wasn’t even busy, only two other people seated inside! I was given a telephone number and asked to call to speak to a manager even though I asked for an email address. When I called, every time I called, no one answered. The cafe cares more about covers than customers, simple changes to the layout of seating would make it more inclusive. For one of the few step free access cafes, it’s appalling that they discriminate against customers who need mobility aids. The member of staff I spoke to was understanding but their manager has made the rules on seating very clear and if you need a little more room, go elsewhere.

I recently had a disappointing experience at your establishment. After enjoying a pumpkin latte and a salmon bagel, I had a reaction to dairy despite having communicated my intolerance multiple times. When my food arrived, it contained regular butter, which I had to ask to be replaced, highlighting a lack of attention to my dietary needs. Unfortunately, I started to feel unwell, and while the restroom was out of order, the manager kindly allowed me to use it. I’ve visited several times without issue, so I was surprised to feel this way. However, the manager insisted it wasn’t their fault and suggested my discomfort might be due to personal stress, which was disheartening. Additionally, I was charged the full bill while I was in the restroom, and my companion paid without my input, as I just wanted to go home. They even offered me paracetamol and tea, which was a kind gesture, but it didn’t fully address my concerns. While the manager apologized, I felt the overall response could have been more empathetic.

Nice bar close to Nottingham city centre. We stopped to have tea, two biscuits and read a book. Nice atmosphere.

What an absolute gem! Wish we'd found it Saturday as it would have been perfect for late lunch! But, thankfully we did find it Sunday morning. A very warm welcome. Gorgeous fresh cooked food and a really lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Fabulous café in the heart of the city centre. Try the fish board👌 The venue is quite small and it does get very busy, so be patient. However, the staff and the service is excellent.

Great find by accident. Strongly recommend this delightful coffee shop/ sandwiches for lunch. Very tasty and well made food - flakytuna in good quality sourdough bread and salad.

I popped into this coffee shop once when visiting nottingham, the coffee is amazing and the staff are always so sweet, we now come to this cafe every time we visit nottingham.

This is such a gorgeous little cafe, the decor is so cute, the staff were very friendly but the service was quite slow, i understand we went on a busy day but later orders arrived before ours. The seating was a bit scary, it was skinny, backless, tall stools against a bar facing the wall, for a cup of tea and a chat with a friend it was perfect but we were having a meal so it was a little cramped. The food and drinks were delicious though, I had a panini and a smoothie and they were totally delicious I am drooling just thinking about eating it again.

Everything was fantastic - from the decor, atmosphere, service and food. Couldn't fault it. Its not to be missed. I cannot rate this place highly enough.

We really enjoyed our visit to Fox Cafe. There were plenty of vegan options for me to choose from and we absolutely adored the fox paraphernalia all over the cafe. I wish we would have gone one more time during our trip so I could have tried more of the menu — I guess that will have to wait until our next visit!

Elite Banana bread and decent coffee. The staff are lovely. Kind of cramped on the inside but not beyond cosy. I’d love to return to try more. The lady with the blue bits in her hair is fantastic at her job.

What do restaurants have against seasoning their food??? The eggs were completely bland Bagels were perfectly toasted and service was great, but please season your food😭

Had a couple of coffees and a couple of cakes, was served by a young lady with black and blue hair with another taking a payment and both were lovely. Recommend me what to have and was very sweet. Iv only been here for a short amount of time but I would highly recommend them. Great cake. Good coffee and great service

Sandwiches nice and girl who served us was pleasant but coffee overpriced and awful. Ordered 2 regular cappuccinos both were so milky and pale were more like lattes and you couldn’t even taste coffee. The manager came out and said if we wanted an extra shot of coffee we should have ordered the large for 30p extra and that would have had 2 shots of coffee instead of 1, but because we didnt order the large and asked for the extra shot to be put in the small we would have to pay 1,25 per coffee extra so basically it cost £5 for each for a small cappuccino to have any taste of coffee and it still wasn’t great. There are loads of places to get great coffee in Nottingham, Fox cafe is NOT one of them, I usually go to other independent places and the coffees are great, so is the service. Visiting Fox was a big mistake, it will be the first and last time I visit. The manager was not at all customer focused and quite abrupt didn’t care or even accept or acknowledge that the coffee wasn’t right, they clearly dont t have any respect for customers as to act this way in a hospitality business is shocking. I have never experienced such a situation where you are forced to pay extra for a coffee to even remotely taste like it should. I suspect they are not tamping the coffee properly when making them either that or they’re using very low quality beans. Do yourself a favor and take a walk up the road you will find better service and produce and not be treated with contempt and their £5 sub standard drinks aren’t worth £2, Greggs would do a better job!

Fabulous decor, food and service! Lots of choice of panini fillings, salads and much more! The banana bread is divine! The only negative of this wonderful place is you often aren’t lucky enough to get a table because of how popular and busy it can get.

Hey, when I order a vegetarian English breakfast and bacon on an extra plate, I mean exactly that and nothing else. The bacon (1.5 slices) is then served on the same plate and costs an extra £2.5!!?? I have to order the second Americano three times... each time without milk. He is then brought (AFTER breakfast), WITH milk. I let the milk go back. The bill comes WITH milk, oat milk is charged extra. Too many people in service (5!) who don't coordinate with each other. We didn't have any fun. There was also no excuse for the disaster. Cutlery and salt would also be forgotten. When it comes to prizes: practice, practice, practice.

Can't review any of the food as they wanted me and my partner to sit outside with our baby in the rain because a baby's buggy is a health and safety issue apparently, 0 family friendly environment and will never bother trying to eat here again ive never experienced this before in Nottingham in much smaller restaurants and cafes and I'm very disappointed by this experience.

Need a new chef. Massivley overpriced. Terrible breakfast. Sausages overdone, bacon overdone/burnt, tea wasnt hot hot so went cold quickly, lovely lad serving, they only do scrambled eggs no fried, no poached 😳🤷🏽‍♂️ surely frying a egg 🍳 is easier and quicker than scrambling. It’s probably why the rest of the breakfast was dry. Only enjoyed the toast with butter. Lots of potential with this place, and there was only one other customer here. Its got a coffee machine, can’t really go wrong with coffee can you. Maybe i just picked the wrong breakfast, please take the full english breakfast off the menu.

I went to the Fox this morning for the first time. Very impressed. It did take a while for my breakfast to come out of the kitchen but it was well worth the wait. The staff are very friendly and provide excellent service. The food was fresh hot and very tasty. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this place as an excellent choice for a delicious breakfast. A massive thank you to the whole team 🙏🏽😃👍🏽

Was slow service as it was clearly cooked fresh. We were in a bit of rush so tricky. Foxy breakfast was amazing though. Give yourself time and enjoy the treat of great food coffee or tea !

Went there today, waited ages for service that didn't come. Last straw was one of the staff told another waitress to serve people who came 10 minutes after us. Terrible service. We left and won't be going back. Overated dump.

We had a short but lovely time, popped in for a breakfast before taking the train, the staff was super accomodating with our time constraint. Food and drinks were delicious and pricing was super reasonable.

i’m from preston just been there once and’s everything was fabulous, the cake turn 10 off 10 the design of the coffee 10 off 10 everything is very special the design inside the coffee house was incredible , definitely I’ll go back there 💙🤗

Absolute rip off. The worst breakfast I have ever had. Scrambled eggs only no other egg options, you only get one anemic looking sausage and some thin cardboard like bacon. Disgusted that I paid £30 for two breakfasts and two glasses of juice.

A great place to have your breakfast in cosy surroundings. Lovely friendly happy staff. The internal decor is wonderful with lots of fox related art work. The breakfast was perfectly cooked, an excellent portion to set you up for the day and very tasty. If you are in the area and want a small pause in the day - for a drink or meal you have to come to the Fox Cafe.

Visited 02/06/24 Got here about 9.30am and was busy We had to sit on high chars.. not very comfortable.. I had a full breakfast and my wife had a breakfast panini... Both very nice.. Did ask for brown sauce . It tasted more like soap.. not very nice.(Only minus point) Also had a cappuccino each ,which was just lovely... Staff brilliant. Very friendly Will definitely recommend 10/10 Will will definitely revisit when in staying Nottingham again...

Had an amazing brunch during our stay in Nottingham. Great scones, delicious cakes, lovely staff. The interior is pretty charming, too, going hard on that Fox theming.

Frequent at the cafe often with my mum, very disappointed to find a live insect inside my cake. When raised issue with staff, they were not accommodating- will not be visiting again.

Just had lunch here with my Mum and sister. Between us, we have 2 vegans/veggie and a gluten free so it's always a challenge to find somewhere we can all eat. This place is amazing. I had the vegan board. It was a huge portion and every part of it was absolutely delicious. We also had a veggie breakfast and the gluten free cheese on toast which were of the same standard as the board. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful too. Will definitely be returning next time I'm in the city, cannot rate it highly enough!

Treasure Coffee Shop, various fox themes, you will be surprised when you order cappuccino with coffee, the staff is very friendly, I ordered a panini set, the taste is above average, as a person who does not like desserts (because most people in the UK The desserts are all too sweet), and I highly recommend their banana panini. It’s full of banana flavor and the sweetness is acceptable to me. It’s worth coming back.

we've known and walked past the fox so many times yet it was only about six weeks ago we stopped there for a morning coffee whilst waiting for our appointment at the peoples barbers ... dealing with the prosaic stuff first, the coffee and the earl grey both hit the spot, exactly what we need ... plus roxy (la chienne) got fussed over with water and treats ... anyway, after a busy afternoon in and around Notts, we decided to pop in on our way home for one of their extensive range of gin cocktails, prepared by the wonderful Megan ... we went with the menu for the first one, a nice mandarin infused cocktail with standard tonic, but as cocktail alchemists, we knew we could do much better, so we enhanced the next one with dandelion and burdock replacing the tonic, a hit with everyone (and now christened 'The Megan') ... anyway, so good was every aspect of these two visits that we've been back a couple of time since, and been overwhelmed by the welcome, the service and the lemon tart (just ask the girls across the street at space.nk willow and jess, i believe they loved them two) ... we haven't sampled anything else from the extensive menu yet, but will certainly be doing so on our next visit to Notts ... thanks so much to everyone there, much appreciated by Roxy & I ...

Nice little cafe but coffee was really expensive (over £4 for an oat latte) and it wasn’t anything exceptional. Also charges extra for plant milk which is a shame! But cool decor and friendly staff

Loved the atmosphere there. Very chilled, good background music not overly loud, and a generally cosy vibe. It just gets very busy and there aren’t many seating spaces. The staff is super friendly. The selection of sandwiches and panini is pretty large, with other options like salad and cheese and charcuterie boards. The panini was absolutely delicious, full of flavour. Would recommend!

I had the best Chai Latte from Fox Cafe. And the atmosphere and the service is next level.
