An amazing place we didn't eat but the food being served to other customers looked lovely so next time with another chai latte will be breakfast oh staff amazing to 😁

What do restaurants have against seasoning their food??? The eggs were completely bland Bagels were perfectly toasted and service was great, but please season your food😭

Had a couple of coffees and a couple of cakes, was served by a young lady with black and blue hair with another taking a payment and both were lovely. Recommend me what to have and was very sweet. Iv only been here for a short amount of time but I would highly recommend them. Great cake. Good coffee and great service

Sandwiches nice and girl who served us was pleasant but coffee overpriced and awful. Ordered 2 regular cappuccinos both were so milky and pale were more like lattes and you couldn’t even taste coffee. The manager came out and said if we wanted an extra shot of coffee we should have ordered the large for 30p extra and that would have had 2 shots of coffee instead of 1, but because we didnt order the large and asked for the extra shot to be put in the small we would have to pay 1,25 per coffee extra so basically it cost £5 for each for a small cappuccino to have any taste of coffee and it still wasn’t great. There are loads of places to get great coffee in Nottingham, Fox cafe is NOT one of them, I usually go to other independent places and the coffees are great, so is the service. Visiting Fox was a big mistake, it will be the first and last time I visit. The manager was not at all customer focused and quite abrupt didn’t care or even accept or acknowledge that the coffee wasn’t right, they clearly dont t have any respect for customers as to act this way in a hospitality business is shocking. I have never experienced such a situation where you are forced to pay extra for a coffee to even remotely taste like it should. I suspect they are not tamping the coffee properly when making them either that or they’re using very low quality beans. Do yourself a favor and take a walk up the road you will find better service and produce and not be treated with contempt and their £5 sub standard drinks aren’t worth £2, Greggs would do a better job!

Fabulous decor, food and service! Lots of choice of panini fillings, salads and much more! The banana bread is divine! The only negative of this wonderful place is you often aren’t lucky enough to get a table because of how popular and busy it can get.

Hey, when I order a vegetarian English breakfast and bacon on an extra plate, I mean exactly that and nothing else. The bacon (1.5 slices) is then served on the same plate and costs an extra £2.5!!?? I have to order the second Americano three times... each time without milk. He is then brought (AFTER breakfast), WITH milk. I let the milk go back. The bill comes WITH milk, oat milk is charged extra. Too many people in service (5!) who don't coordinate with each other. We didn't have any fun. There was also no excuse for the disaster. Cutlery and salt would also be forgotten. When it comes to prizes: practice, practice, practice.

Can't review any of the food as they wanted me and my partner to sit outside with our baby in the rain because a baby's buggy is a health and safety issue apparently, 0 family friendly environment and will never bother trying to eat here again ive never experienced this before in Nottingham in much smaller restaurants and cafes and I'm very disappointed by this experience.

Lovely place to stop for lunch or just a coffee, reasonably priced, lots of choice.

Need a new chef. Massivley overpriced. Terrible breakfast. Sausages overdone, bacon overdone/burnt, tea wasnt hot hot so went cold quickly, lovely lad serving, they only do scrambled eggs no fried, no poached 😳🤷🏽‍♂️ surely frying a egg 🍳 is easier and quicker than scrambling. It’s probably why the rest of the breakfast was dry. Only enjoyed the toast with butter. Lots of potential with this place, and there was only one other customer here. Its got a coffee machine, can’t really go wrong with coffee can you. Maybe i just picked the wrong breakfast, please take the full english breakfast off the menu.

I went to the Fox this morning for the first time. Very impressed. It did take a while for my breakfast to come out of the kitchen but it was well worth the wait. The staff are very friendly and provide excellent service. The food was fresh hot and very tasty. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this place as an excellent choice for a delicious breakfast. A massive thank you to the whole team 🙏🏽😃👍🏽

Was slow service as it was clearly cooked fresh. We were in a bit of rush so tricky. Foxy breakfast was amazing though. Give yourself time and enjoy the treat of great food coffee or tea !

Went there today, waited ages for service that didn't come. Last straw was one of the staff told another waitress to serve people who came 10 minutes after us. Terrible service. We left and won't be going back. Overated dump.

We had a short but lovely time, popped in for a breakfast before taking the train, the staff was super accomodating with our time constraint. Food and drinks were delicious and pricing was super reasonable.

We went there for coffee and breakfast earlier this week. We did the breakfast paninis and food was great. Service was on the slower side despite being the second customers alone im the store

i’m from preston just been there once and’s everything was fabulous, the cake turn 10 off 10 the design of the coffee 10 off 10 everything is very special the design inside the coffee house was incredible , definitely I’ll go back there 💙🤗

Absolute rip off. The worst breakfast I have ever had. Scrambled eggs only no other egg options, you only get one anemic looking sausage and some thin cardboard like bacon. Disgusted that I paid £30 for two breakfasts and two glasses of juice.

A great place to have your breakfast in cosy surroundings. Lovely friendly happy staff. The internal decor is wonderful with lots of fox related art work. The breakfast was perfectly cooked, an excellent portion to set you up for the day and very tasty. If you are in the area and want a small pause in the day - for a drink or meal you have to come to the Fox Cafe.

Visited 02/06/24 Got here about 9.30am and was busy We had to sit on high chars.. not very comfortable.. I had a full breakfast and my wife had a breakfast panini... Both very nice.. Did ask for brown sauce . It tasted more like soap.. not very nice.(Only minus point) Also had a cappuccino each ,which was just lovely... Staff brilliant. Very friendly Will definitely recommend 10/10 Will will definitely revisit when in staying Nottingham again...

Had an amazing brunch during our stay in Nottingham. Great scones, delicious cakes, lovely staff. The interior is pretty charming, too, going hard on that Fox theming.

Frequent at the cafe often with my mum, very disappointed to find a live insect inside my cake. When raised issue with staff, they were not accommodating- will not be visiting again.

Just had lunch here with my Mum and sister. Between us, we have 2 vegans/veggie and a gluten free so it's always a challenge to find somewhere we can all eat. This place is amazing. I had the vegan board. It was a huge portion and every part of it was absolutely delicious. We also had a veggie breakfast and the gluten free cheese on toast which were of the same standard as the board. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful too. Will definitely be returning next time I'm in the city, cannot rate it highly enough!

Treasure Coffee Shop, various fox themes, you will be surprised when you order cappuccino with coffee, the staff is very friendly, I ordered a panini set, the taste is above average, as a person who does not like desserts (because most people in the UK The desserts are all too sweet), and I highly recommend their banana panini. It’s full of banana flavor and the sweetness is acceptable to me. It’s worth coming back.

we've known and walked past the fox so many times yet it was only about six weeks ago we stopped there for a morning coffee whilst waiting for our appointment at the peoples barbers ... dealing with the prosaic stuff first, the coffee and the earl grey both hit the spot, exactly what we need ... plus roxy (la chienne) got fussed over with water and treats ... anyway, after a busy afternoon in and around Notts, we decided to pop in on our way home for one of their extensive range of gin cocktails, prepared by the wonderful Megan ... we went with the menu for the first one, a nice mandarin infused cocktail with standard tonic, but as cocktail alchemists, we knew we could do much better, so we enhanced the next one with dandelion and burdock replacing the tonic, a hit with everyone (and now christened 'The Megan') ... anyway, so good was every aspect of these two visits that we've been back a couple of time since, and been overwhelmed by the welcome, the service and the lemon tart (just ask the girls across the street at space.nk willow and jess, i believe they loved them two) ... we haven't sampled anything else from the extensive menu yet, but will certainly be doing so on our next visit to Notts ... thanks so much to everyone there, much appreciated by Roxy & I ...

Nice little cafe but coffee was really expensive (over £4 for an oat latte) and it wasn’t anything exceptional. Also charges extra for plant milk which is a shame! But cool decor and friendly staff

Loved the atmosphere there. Very chilled, good background music not overly loud, and a generally cosy vibe. It just gets very busy and there aren’t many seating spaces. The staff is super friendly. The selection of sandwiches and panini is pretty large, with other options like salad and cheese and charcuterie boards. The panini was absolutely delicious, full of flavour. Would recommend!

I had the best Chai Latte from Fox Cafe. And the atmosphere and the service is next level.

The latte was absolutely delish, I came in for the morning to get some banana bread and latte so I could do some drawing and the staff were so friendly and polite, they were unfortunately out of banana bread but thats nothing they can fix on the spot so i went without! Next time I come in ill definitely be trying it!

The Fox Cafe is a lovely little cafe tucked away in the centre of Nottingham. Great atmosphere (Bob Dylan music playing throughout), some fantastic fox art & nick backs. The staff were very friendly & provide table service that never felt overbearing nor inattentive, the food was great and we could see that there were plenty of options for vegans (we had a meaty full English breakfast - the scrambled eggs were spot on!), the coffee was great and I also had a lovely peppermint tea. Only drawback is that it is so fab that it's quite busy, so whilst there was space for us there were people that had to be turned away as the space is quite limited.

I've visited The Fox many times, it's always the first place we go when visiting the city centre. The service, the atmosphere and food is fantastic. 13/01/2024 Just for a change it was the last place we went today and it's still as good as ever. We love the fox cafe.

Such a cute, quaint little cafe, just off Nottingham city centre. It was a pleasure to visit Fox Cafe and enjoy a cuppa with some cake. The decor was simply stunning and completely on theme with the style of the cafe- definitely worth the visit. I will definitely endeavour to visit again to try the brunch options (and perhaps update my review).

I love the Fox café! Whenever my daughter is in Nottingham, we come here. It's quirky and fun and holds a little magic in its atmosphere. The coffee is always good as is the food.

Service was fast and efficient, food was excellent and a decent portion. Biggest standout for me was the coffee, the mocha was perfectly balanced between coffee and chocolate and wasn't overwhelmingly sweet either.

We had a tasty breakfast at the Fox our bacon was overcooked but the sandwiches for our train journey home were delicious. The jazz was just right and the service was perfect.

The Foxy Breakfast was good value. Great coffee too.

Always try to make it here when I'm in Nottingham. It's always busy so can be hard getting a table at times and service is a little slow as a result. However, the food is fantastic, the banana bread is delicious! The décor is beautiful and the whole ambience is very cosy. Prices reflect the quality of what you get. Don't expect mega cheap, but it's not a rip-off by any means. A wonderful place, serving delicious food in a nice environment. Pop in for breakfast, you won't be disappointed.

Coffee is amazing. My favourite place in nottingham for a caramel oat latte. They do Bueno and other chocolate biscuit themed drinks that just taste so good. Usually quite busy but nice to go as a couple or with family. Food is nice too, would recommend. Cute fox decor & friendly staff <3

A very well balanced place. It has a lovely warm ambient feel to it with nice music playing in the background. The staff are absolutely amazing and friendly, the food and drink is brilliant, slightly higher than what I pay elsewhere but worth it. The manager is such a well dressed and nice lady. The cafe is decorated to my exact taste aswell with a fox theme, wooden floor and candle burning in the window. My favorite cafe was 200 degrees but the fox has overtaken it now.

Lovely bacon butties...... top out of City feel

Breakfast is overpriced for size and quality. Hash browns were dripping and soggy, the scrambled egg was practically water, lifeless unseasoned bacon, a single depressing sausage and only seeded bread as the toast option. The service was abysmal, staff standing unaware of customers. We were seated quickly but then waited 10 minutes to put in a drinks order which then took 10 additional minutes for a coke and a cappuccino. Following this we then waited 25 minutes for our food. Upon raising concerns regarding the food we were told "it's just how we make it" and it was only taken back when I picked up a hash brown and demonstrated that it was soaking wet. If you're looking for a good breakfast go to the hockey kitchen a few minutes up the road for a cheaper and much more pleasant experience.

Nice little independent coffee shop,I always try to find one when travelling about and avoid the usual Costa Starbucks and cafe Nero's that are everywhere..3.85 for a large americano 3.65 for a large cappuccino which was good value and lovely coffee too. Fox on the top is a great touch !

The best cafe in Nottingham, without a doubt. The food is such good quality, a great portion size and loads of variety on the menu! The staff are lovely - it's just a really good vibe. Caters for everyone - great Foxy breakfast for meat eaters, but also veggie options, vegan and gluten free! The outside are gets some late sun, lovely with coats on or when it's warm. We just love Fox Cafe, and wouldn't go anywhere else in Nottingham. ❤️

treat their staff absolutely horribly! they aren’t allowed food or even a coffee on their shift/break!!! can’t support somewhere that treats staff so bad on minimum wage!

One of my favourite cafes to visit. Cosy, lovely staff and yummy food. Especially the pate platter. Dog friendly too which gets bonus points. It rained while we were outside and the staff brought us all umberellas until we could get inside.

love love love!! great food, plenty of gluten free options including dessert. my friend fell in love with the banana bread. everything was tasty and service was 10/10. highly recommend for coeliacs
