Food was great , duck pancakes and ribs superb , but we were put in a downstairs room which was very cramped … tables wedged in very close together.. staff helpful and friendly. The meal was all rushed , as soon as we had finished our main course we were brought the bill and ask to vacate quickly as they had people waiting for tables… we hadn’t event finished our drinks or asked for the bill …

We visited here after watching a Youtube video. I got the 3 meat dinner with rice, it was pretty good. It was the service that was not that great. We got shuttled upstairs in a cramped area. The waitress didn't speak English very well (I know, it's Chinatown), and she had a lot of tables to do.

Fabulous experience in this restaurant. Situated in a nice area and food was simply amazing. Staff were also really helpful from the moment we have entered in to the restaurant. Only the thing which we were not happy was had to wait longer to deliver food, but it is ok.

My husband and I got lucky this extremely busy Saturday evening and got an outside table so got to also enjoy the Chinatown vibe. Outstanding dinner, authentic feel with the minimalistic attitude service included, wine tasted fine and ambience was just perfect. I can see there are some unimpressed reviews on this restaurant but come on people it’s the whole charm of chinatown it’s a no nonsense area with amazing food. Stop complaining and embrace the vibe. We’re definitely going back!

I came ti this restaurant 12 years ago and it was great. Now, This place just like tourist trapped. Over priced , they tried to charge you with every single things. One tea pot £10 with one tea bag in. are you kidding me! Foods were mediocre. Only good was roasted duck that’s it. They will also add the tip on the bill. If you crave Chinese food stay out of this tourist area. I feel they don’t care much about the quality & service.

After visiting China Town in London multiple times, I’m yet to find a restaurant that I’d be willing to go back to. We visited for my uncle’s birthday. My cousin found this place on TikTok and it also came highly recommended by one of her friends so we thought we’d give it a whirl. The décor is very basic with uneven carpeted floor and tatty chairs. They also have a downstairs dining area, where the toilets are located. The table had ten seats, but it was a very tight squeeze it would’ve been better suited for 8 people or 6 people comfortably. The service we had was different.. for the lack of a better word. We had multiple servers; one lady who struggled to speak English who kept giving us bottled water whenever we asked for tap water. A gentleman kept shouting when greeting our table. As the table was so small, they kept putting down more drinks on the table without taking away any of the empty glasses so there was no room for the food when it arrived. The starter came out fairly quick, unfortunately there was only enough seaweed for four people and there was only six chicken satay sticks, when there was ten of us. It took a while for us to order our main course but when we did the food came out hot and some dishes tasted nice, but the curry was unbelievably spicy and some of the portions were really small for the price that was charged. When it came to payment, the waitress got very confused as half of our party wanted to pay on payment in cash and the other half wanted to pay one payment on card. But we got there in the end. It’s unfortunate to say we won’t be going back. Overall, a discombobulated meal, that took way longer than was needed with unnecessary fuss and average food.

Good Chinese Cantonese food, chicken with fried rice tasted typical, fried seafood noodle too despite very greasy and vegetables also good. Very pricy though (90€ for 3 with mostly one dish per person) due to 12.5%tip automatically and place not really up the price (a bit dirty). Very friendly and fast service though

We checked out the food and reviews prior to going. All looked good. The food was a 7 out of 10. The service started out great but then it took a turn for the worse. We waited 40 minutes for my sister’s Peking duck. I saw 2 other customers served duck before she was and they came in after us. It was very frustrating. They gave no explanation. I give their customer service a 2 out of 10.

This restaurant is well known for its roast duck. The verdict is what impressed me the most was not the duck but rather the service. The duck was more fatty & less crispy than Gold Mine. The sauce was richer in soy sauce flavour. This restaurant does not serve dim sum unlike the Gold Mine. If I were to come back to London Chinatown, I would opt for Gold Mine for the duck but Gout Seasons if I am looking for good service.

We were sat downstairs and served very quickly. Sadly the lady was not very welcoming and it turned out worse when we « complained » about the squid being too « greasy » - we know it’s deep fried but this did not taste nice. She offered to exchange which was ok, but it was a fuff around us telling something about it! Customer service? Service not great could be acceptable if food is amazing, but we have had much better Chinese for the price.

We went as a group of four friends to Four Seasons having read good reviews. The food, however, was awful. It was lukewarm and had seemingly been cooked much earlier as the meat was dry and tough. The rice didn't consist of whole grains, but rather a mix of broken grains. All in all a great disappointed and at a considerable price. We won't be going again!

Slap bang in the middle of Gerrard Street, with delicious looking ducks hanging in the window, this is one we have been meaning to try for ages and we are so glad we did. There have been some no so good reviews lately, but I have to say our experience was really good. We were warmly greeted and shown to a table of our liking (not wanting the first table we were offered near to the front door). We were looked after very well and were served by friendly, funny, helpful staff, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Then there was the food - the steak fillet with ginger and spring onions, although not cheap at £20.80, was worth every penny - plentiful, hot and absolutely delicious. If I had to choose my last meal on this earth, this could possibly be it! We also had char sui pork and shredded chicken noodles. We thought we had over-ordered, but found we tucked it all away, without feeling bloated - just right. There were quite a few Chinese people eating in here, which we took to be a good sign as well! We will certainly be returning. Thanks Four Seasons staff.

Disappointed. Heard much about their famous duck and roast meats. So ordered roast duck and rice £15.00 The portion of duck was small served on oval style plate smaller than a normal plate. The duck itself was tasty and sauce sweeter than normal. However, the same from the Wonkie, wardour steet is less than £10.00 on a normal size plate and was double the portion. I would say that the difference in taste was not that great to warrant the hype about 4 Seasons.

The level of poor service simply should exist in this day and age. We ordered our food which came in a timely manner, the portions seemed small but ok we can live with that however the rice was cold. When letting the waiter know, good reply was "I don't know why it's cold, that's the kitchens remit, I don't do the cooking" (in Cantonese) and refused to change the rice. Completely ruined the end of a great family day out. Will never visit again. Plenty of other great restaurants in China Town. Shame to the name of Four Seasons.

Much positive buzz about this place doesn't really come to light for me. Small, brightly, lit, and noisy. Service is brusque to say the least. Peking duck was completely dried out. We booked in to the Four Seasons for Dinner on Friday the 8th of March after seeing lots of social media posts and videos talking about the amazing duck and pork belly on offer. You can see these hanging in the window which definitely entices you in. we were seated at nice spacious table in the middle of the dining area, however it took around 10 minutes for anyone to come and take our drink order which was a little frustrating as a group that came in afterwards who were known by the staff had their drink order taken and delivered to the table before we were even spoken to. When the waiter did eventually come over we ordered a large bottle of water, and a portion each of the two meat combo on rice. The food then arrived and looked really good, however on picking up one of the pork ribs, my wife noted that it was cold. I touched my pork belly and noticed that was barely lukewarm. I caught the waiter walking past and asked if it was supposed to be cold, to which he replied "yes" and carried on walking. A little taken aback, we then checked the rice which was dry and hard, clearly having either been left out for a while or reheated. I stopped the waiter and told him the food is cold and the rice dry and hard, to which he asked if I would like it microwaved. I said, no I would like it fresh as rice should not be reheated. He took the plates away, and came back less than 5 minutes later and placed down the exact same food. My wife picked up a rib and this time it was steaming hot on one side, and the other cold, showing it had been microwaved. At this point we lost all faith and said we would pay for the water but not the food, which they agreed to and apologised, and we left completely disappointed. We looked around and could see others having the same food which was completely different to ours, you could see the rice was fluffy and there was steam coming off the food even after several minutes, whereas ours was nothing like that. Were we just given this because we were tourists? Who knows, but it definitely left us feeling very flat as we don't get to come to London often. It seems other reviews say similar to our experience, so it seems the microwave element is a big feature unfortunately.

We are visiting London in April to go to a show and wanted to have dinner in Chinatown on the Saturday evening. Were looking to go to Four Seasons. Can't book on-line, need to phone to make a reservation. We phoned multiple times over a four day period, it was engaged on each occasion. Finally got through to find that they don't accept reservations for 2 for the date and time we wanted ! Found somewhere else where we could make an on-line reservation in minutes. So doesn't matter how good service and food is if you can't actually book it matters not.

We were fooled by the long queue. The food was expensive and pretty rubbish. It felt like my crispy beef had been microwaved several times. The 6 spring rolls were tiny with a thumbnail of grated carrot for some crazy price like £12. We were really hoping for an authentic high quality Chinese and ended up with a £136 bill for a poor quality takeaway. The pretty unfriendly waitress also tried to charge us a service charge twice, such was the tourist trap vibe.

Our waitress was very friendly and helpful taking time to talk us through some of the dishes. We had some very good shredded pork fried noodles, lovely prawn dumplings with spicy sauce, tasty barbecued pork (char Siu) and a fabulous half roasted duck Cantonese style on the bone. All the dishes were extremely generous portions but it was so good we ate too much. Wine was good value. We would definitely return again for lunch.

Was on the way to meet some friends in central so popped in for a quick lunch and ordered roast duck & roast pork with rice, which was very underwhelming. The duck was mostly skin/bone/fat and was given 4 small slices of roast pork, I left hungry. Maybe cause it’s the Chinatown branch, I queried this with manager and he said this is standard, wouldn’t recommend again and will go elsewhere. The Queensway one is much better in terms of service, quality and quantity.

Went today for two portions of three roast rice; there is a lot of hype around this place both on Instagram, local news and blogs - there was a queue outside with a 20 min wait (great sign). Looking at the menu we had to choose to get either a platter with the three meats (£18.80) and a separate order of rice for two (£14.80 for special fried rice) or two orders of the three roast meats with rice combo (£13.80 each). I asked the waitress whether getting the 3 meat platter and rice separately rather than two combos, would mean a bigger meat portion which would justify the greater price and she said yes. So I went for the more expensive separate order rather two of the combo meals. What came was a small portion of meat. Not enough for two people and I very much doubt that it was a larger portion than getting the cheaper two combo meals (or they would be ludicrously small)…but it was £6 more expensive. The quality of food was good, not the best but not a disappointment. With a 12.5% service charge automatically added to the bill and an additional £4.20 for Chinese tea (one tea pot, charged twice) we paid £42.53 and left hungry. Will not be returning in future. I’m sure there are better places in terms of value without compromising quality to go to in Chinatown for roast duck, roast pork belly & char siu. Clearly Four Seasons, Gerrard St does not need to maintain a solid customer base given all the hype. The chap working front of house managing the queue outside was lovely though!

We didn't have a reservation but were able to get in. Had some lovely starters, Prawn Dumpling soup and Fried Peking Dumplings - both of which were delicious. For mains we had half a boneless duck and stir fried pork noodles with cashew. The duck was sublime, probably best duck I've ever had. The noodles looked atrocious to be honest but the taste was spectacular and that is what matters! We had a particularly bad experience here. The food wasn’t as good as our local takeaway… which isn’t the best ☹️ . Overly expensive for the quality of food. It wasn’t helped perhaps by the location of our table. Upstairs by the mini kitchen area. During our meal we shared our table with two other couples. That wasn’t particularly an issue though, as the two couples that joined us were very interesting and nice. Would I go again? No, absolutely no. We’ve wanted to eat in Chinatown for a couple of years. ( we visit London annually just before Christmas). Would we bother again? Probably not without a good recommendation of where to eat……

Amazing, exceeded expectations. Highly recommended. I was nearly put off by some of the negative reviews but so glad I took my son for a Chinatown experience. I’ve been dreaming about the roast duck ever since (I’d recommend the ‘signature’ roast duck over the aromatic...

Not recommended at all. Food very bland, apart from the duck and pork. Portions good size and got a carry out, only to be charged 10p for the privilege. Challenged this, staff got rude and would not remove. I even said if you don't remove,...

The food was ok but the service was very bad. We've been here a few times before and the service has gone downhill. And they wouldn't let us take the tip off the bill. Even after we told them the service wasn't good.

Ricky Tam made our dinner memorable when we stopped for dinner. We sat outside on a hot evening, the food was delicious and Ricky was very personable giving us tips to maximize our experience in Chinatown. If we're in London again we will go back.

The roast duck and egg fried rice were good. Service is average. Decor and overall atmosphere are really bad, conversations are only possible by yelling. Toilets so-so. Huge queues which given the overall experience are not justified

The food was fantastic, but the service was awful but the service was lacking. The waitress seemed handling too many tables, so we had to ask several times for water, chopsticks. Despite the great food, the inattentive service made the experience less enjoyable.

Phoned at 11.55am yesterday to check availability for lunch on the same day .I was informed they could accommodate a table for two at midday (so 5 minutes away ) I politely said we would need a little time to get there and would arrive in less than 30 mins but I was informed if I couldn’t get there within 15 minutes I could not have the table !!I have never experienced anything quite like it and absolutely appalling customer service !Having since read many of the poor reviews they obviously did us a favour and we ended up enjoying a fabulous lunch at the OWO !Hospitality is supposed to be about accommodating guests requests the best way possible but not here!!They obviously don’t want or need the business and I certainly won’t ever be spending my hard earned money at any Peninsular Hotel if this is the way they treat there customers !!! Good day !
