We have been coming here for four years, was our fav restaurant in China Town. Last three visits the salt & pepper squid came out cold, which means its chewy, very disappointing. I told the waiter tonight he just grunted at me. You come here for the food, not the service but when food is cold, you don't come back!

Slap bang in the middle of Gerrard Street, with delicious looking ducks hanging in the window, this is one we have been meaning to try for ages and we are so glad we did. There have been some no so good reviews lately, but I have to say our experience was really good. We were warmly greeted and shown to a table of our liking (not wanting the first table we were offered near to the front door). We were looked after very well and were served by friendly, funny, helpful staff, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Then there was the food - the steak fillet with ginger and spring onions, although not cheap at £20.80, was worth every penny - plentiful, hot and absolutely delicious. If I had to choose my last meal on this earth, this could possibly be it! We also had char sui pork and shredded chicken noodles. We thought we had over-ordered, but found we tucked it all away, without feeling bloated - just right. There were quite a few Chinese people eating in here, which we took to be a good sign as well! We will certainly be returning. Thanks Four Seasons staff.

Saw this was voted No 1 by Time Out so decided to try it. Nothing much to look at outside or inside but food was amazing. Service was good too, very friendly staff. Just read some recent reviews and was shocked to see negative ones. We couldn’t complain about anything. Would definitely return if back in London.

We had waited about 20 mins for a table then were told to head upstairs Crammed in like sardines no room at all Ordered our food You do get quite alot of the main dish Quite rude staff didn’t ask if we liked it, wasn’t offered a fork had to ask then they have a nerve to add tips onto the bill of £8 just for them to bring the food to the table - If I had good service the tip wouldn’t be an issue but I wasn’t happy about that Could only serve big bottles of water £5 each absolute rip off The food was nice and tasty but that’s about it I don’t think a drink and a main meal and rice warrants a bill of £66 Wasn’t really happy and definitely won’t go back So to me this is just a tourist trap so view your bill !!!! Not the cleanest of places either

Disappointed. Heard much about their famous duck and roast meats. So ordered roast duck and rice £15.00 The portion of duck was small served on oval style plate smaller than a normal plate. The duck itself was tasty and sauce sweeter than normal. However, the same from the Wonkie, wardour steet is less than £10.00 on a normal size plate and was double the portion. I would say that the difference in taste was not that great to warrant the hype about 4 Seasons.

The level of poor service simply should exist in this day and age. We ordered our food which came in a timely manner, the portions seemed small but ok we can live with that however the rice was cold. When letting the waiter know, good reply was "I don't know why it's cold, that's the kitchens remit, I don't do the cooking" (in Cantonese) and refused to change the rice. Completely ruined the end of a great family day out. Will never visit again. Plenty of other great restaurants in China Town. Shame to the name of Four Seasons.

Much positive buzz about this place doesn't really come to light for me. Small, brightly, lit, and noisy. Service is brusque to say the least. Peking duck was completely dried out. The other fixins, especially the hoisin sauce were very good. Also had the shrimp toast. Very good, but not particularly memorable. Saw some vegetable dishes go by that looked very good though.

We booked in to the Four Seasons for Dinner on Friday the 8th of March after seeing lots of social media posts and videos talking about the amazing duck and pork belly on offer. You can see these hanging in the window which definitely entices you in. we were seated at nice spacious table in the middle of the dining area, however it took around 10 minutes for anyone to come and take our drink order which was a little frustrating as a group that came in afterwards who were known by the staff had their drink order taken and delivered to the table before we were even spoken to. When the waiter did eventually come over we ordered a large bottle of water, and a portion each of the two meat combo on rice. The food then arrived and looked really good, however on picking up one of the pork ribs, my wife noted that it was cold. I touched my pork belly and noticed that was barely lukewarm. I caught the waiter walking past and asked if it was supposed to be cold, to which he replied "yes" and carried on walking. A little taken aback, we then checked the rice which was dry and hard, clearly having either been left out for a while or reheated. I stopped the waiter and told him the food is cold and the rice dry and hard, to which he asked if I would like it microwaved. I said, no I would like it fresh as rice should not be reheated. He took the plates away, and came back less than 5 minutes later and placed down the exact same food. My wife picked up a rib and this time it was steaming hot on one side, and the other cold, showing it had been microwaved. At this point we lost all faith and said we would pay for the water but not the food, which they agreed to and apologised, and we left completely disappointed. We looked around and could see others having the same food which was completely different to ours, you could see the rice was fluffy and there was steam coming off the food even after several minutes, whereas ours was nothing like that. Were we just given this because we were tourists? Who knows, but it definitely left us feeling very flat as we don't get to come to London often. It seems other reviews say similar to our experience, so it seems the microwave element is a big feature unfortunately.

We are visiting London in April to go to a show and wanted to have dinner in Chinatown on the Saturday evening. Were looking to go to Four Seasons. Can't book on-line, need to phone to make a reservation. We phoned multiple times over a four day period, it was engaged on each occasion. Finally got through to find that they don't accept reservations for 2 for the date and time we wanted ! Found somewhere else where we could make an on-line reservation in minutes. So doesn't matter how good service and food is if you can't actually book it matters not.

The manager attitude was atrocious. He shouted at me loudly when I waved my hand to ask him to take my order as I had been waiting for some time. His attitude was completely insolent. This happened at 5.33 pm ,21st Feb. he shouted at me to finish my phone call before I could order. When I asked him politely why he shouted. He got more fierce and started verbally abusing me. I’m addition , the table next to me, a family of 4 got seated just 5 mins before me and got pickpocketed by a romania guy who just walks in randomly ! So to all tourists and locals , steer clear of this restaurant by all means.

Aanrader!

We were fooled by the long queue. The food was expensive and pretty rubbish. It felt like my crispy beef had been microwaved several times. The 6 spring rolls were tiny with a thumbnail of grated carrot for some crazy price like £12. We were really hoping for an authentic high quality Chinese and ended up with a £136 bill for a poor quality takeaway. The pretty unfriendly waitress also tried to charge us a service charge twice, such was the tourist trap vibe.

We had heard the duck here was great and it was. People were queuing before it opened at midday. We went at 1pm and although the restaurant was busy got a table for 2 immediately. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful taking time to talk us through some of the dishes. We had some very good shredded pork fried noodles, lovely prawn dumplings with spicy sauce, tasty barbecued pork (char Siu) and a fabulous half roasted duck Cantonese style on the bone. All the dishes were extremely generous portions but it was so good we ate too much. Wine was good value. We would definitely return again for lunch.

Was on the way to meet some friends in central so popped in for a quick lunch and ordered roast duck & roast pork with rice, which was very underwhelming. The duck was mostly skin/bone/fat and was given 4 small slices of roast pork, I left hungry. Maybe cause it’s the Chinatown branch, I queried this with manager and he said this is standard, wouldn’t recommend again and will go elsewhere. The Queensway one is much better in terms of service, quality and quantity.

Went today for two portions of three roast rice; there is a lot of hype around this place both on Instagram, local news and blogs - there was a queue outside with a 20 min wait (great sign). Looking at the menu we had to choose to get either a platter with the three meats (£18.80) and a separate order of rice for two (£14.80 for special fried rice) or two orders of the three roast meats with rice combo (£13.80 each). I asked the waitress whether getting the 3 meat platter and rice separately rather than two combos, would mean a bigger meat portion which would justify the greater price and she said yes. So I went for the more expensive separate order rather two of the combo meals. What came was a small portion of meat. Not enough for two people and I very much doubt that it was a larger portion than getting the cheaper two combo meals (or they would be ludicrously small)…but it was £6 more expensive. The quality of food was good, not the best but not a disappointment. With a 12.5% service charge automatically added to the bill and an additional £4.20 for Chinese tea (one tea pot, charged twice) we paid £42.53 and left hungry. Will not be returning in future. I’m sure there are better places in terms of value without compromising quality to go to in Chinatown for roast duck, roast pork belly & char siu. Clearly Four Seasons, Gerrard St does not need to maintain a solid customer base given all the hype. The chap working front of house managing the queue outside was lovely though!

I was on London for 4 days with Family and didn't have the best luck with food until we found this place. Absolutely loved it. Centrally located, it was easy to get to. We didn't have a reservation but were able to get in. Had some lovely starters, Prawn Dumpling soup and Fried Peking Dumplings - both of which were delicious. For mains we had half a boneless duck and stir fried pork noodles with cashew. The duck was sublime, probably best duck I've ever had. The noodles looked atrocious to be honest but the taste was spectacular and that is what matters! I think it is probably standard for London prices but including drinks it came to £70 which I thought was a little bit expensive but saying that the food was so good that I would definitely come back here again

We had a particularly bad experience here. The food wasn’t as good as our local takeaway… which isn’t the best ☹️ . Overly expensive for the quality of food. It wasn’t helped perhaps by the location of our table. Upstairs by the mini kitchen area. During our meal we shared our table with two other couples. That wasn’t particularly an issue though, as the two couples that joined us were very interesting and nice. Would I go again? No, absolutely no. We’ve wanted to eat in Chinatown for a couple of years. ( we visit London annually just before Christmas). Would we bother again? Probably not without a good recommendation of where to eat……

The roast duck and egg fried rice were good. Service is average. Decor and overall atmosphere are really bad, conversations are only possible by yelling. Toilets so-so. Huge queues which given the overall experience are not justified

Bizarrely, even after the beside manner of the waiter was absolutely shocking.... I can not rate this place highly enough. We were a three, and were impolitely ushered to the upstairs, no meet and greet upstairs, so choose a table ourselves, we didn't take the...

It was sad to find this once-great restaurant can't now get even the basics right. To start with, the tired interior has the ambiance of a run-down cafe of the lowest order, where the hurried, surly staff add to the unwelcoming atmosphere. As for the...

Sorry to say that the food is really awful. We’d heard they were famous for their duck which arrived with very flaccid skin. All the food is obviously hurriedly churned out with absolutely no care. A real disservice to Chinese food.
