Unreliable Venue for Small Businesses We provided quiz services at this venue for nearly a year. While payments were late during the first few months, they eventually stopped altogether. Despite setting up payment plans and offering discounts to assist the venue, the owners still failed to pay and stopped communicating without providing any explanation. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise anyone who runs or knows someone who runs a small business to avoid working with or attending this venue. They have not shown themselves to be reliable or supportive of small businesses.

Simple pub with a good selection of beers and cocktails. The food selection is typical of pubs, the portions are sufficient and it tastes good.

Nice bar with pool tables and good seating. Great location, I've always felt like two particular bar staff let down the venue. They don't engage at all with anyone and are quite rude with their service. Regardless, it's still a nice venue.

The chili here is ridiculously good, you have to try it!

Excellent cheesesteak roll, sweet potato fries, and a perfect Guinness pour. The bartenders were friendly and the “sports” atmosphere was lots of fun.

It's all ok. The fish & chips and the fox burger with haggis were great. There are three craft beers on tap! Very friendly service. A clear recommendation.

Terrible service, the staff was just hanging at the bar with no regard to its guests. Food (home made chilli) was good but too spicy for our taste.

Bar was so lovely and had a really nice atmosphere and great choice of beers. Although, I honestly think I had the worst service I’d ever encountered. The blonde barmaid with a chrome blazer, was rude to us the whole time and it seemed she hated being there. When I first ordered she made it seem like I wasn’t even there, she didn’t say a word. It was terrible, like I won’t ever be going back. Which is a shame.

Was Quiet when we come into lunch was the only people in there. Had a couple of drinks and I had a bacon cheeseburger that was nice.

Good bar to watch football and play some pool, and the burgers were decent too. Good selection of pints

Fantastic atmosphere, played poker here and had a blast, service was very friendly. Pool tables were in excellent condition with a huge tv for the football. 10/10.

A nice place and especially a very nice manager who opened the pub for us to watch a rugby match. A nice guy, a nice team and good beer !

Food was great, offer a variety of foods. The offerings for beer and liquor were varied with some local offerings as well. I would go back for another visit.

Being greeted by a barking 15 stone looking XL Bully dog jumping up from behind the bar is not normally what a quiet Sunday evening pint looks like. Very disconcerting experience. What are you thinking?

The barman was rude and swearing on us. He kicked my friend just cuz after he told us not to put the drinks next to the pool table he replied "ok, sir". I definitely will not come back to this place. There are plenty of nice pubs in Edinburgh.

The beer selection is poor (and I had a fantastically mediocre pint of Gamma Ray), but the service is friendly and prompt. I probably won't go back, but if you want to play pool while drinking fizzy, yellow beer, you'll genuinely have a great time.

Super lecker Fish&Chips, die sahen so lecker aus, ich habe vergessen ein Foto zu machen. Sorry. Für 12£ war die Portion überraschend groß, während das Tattoo in Edinburgh ist. Lecker, gerne wieder.

Lovely food, friendly professional staff

Waren am Sonntag Nachmittag zum Essen hier. Sehr nette Bedienung und leckeres Essen für angemessene Preise. Es gibt einige Fernseher auf denen Sport läuft und auch ein paar Billard Tische, jedoch nichts davon störend. Bezahlt wird an der Theke genauso wie Getränke geholt. Der Cheeseburger ist zu empfehlen, kein überragendes Geschmackswunder aber lecker und frisch gemacht.

Unser 1. Pub besuch, natürlich aufgefallen als Touristen, wir saßen am Tisch und haben auf den Kellner gewartet. Aber dann kam einer zum Tisch und hat uns bedient. Peinlich 😳 in Schottland geht man zur Theke und bestellt dort.

Really nice ordinary pub, good staff, lovely facilities which were scrupulously clean, and sufficient space to avoid feeling crowded. Very popular, the pub filled up very rapidly with an after work crowd of all ages on the mid-week evening I visited. Improved a lot since I was last here a few years ago.

Had a lovely pub visit on a very rainy Friday night. Excellent bar keep, perfect drinks, delicious food. Burgers and fish and chips were fab.

Went to the Fountainbridge Fox for dinner on our stay in Edinburgh this week, we went there based on previous reviews, and I can say we weren't disappointed and it lived up to previous reviews given. Met with friendly staff, Outstanding food, good variety. Atmosphere good. Would definitely be going back.

Great staff very welcoming Great Chef Neil who takes the time to meet and great customer & always asks how your meal was. 5 star guys

Just eaten here. Nicely set out, bit of background music, large screens for sports and a couple of pool tables. None of which negatively impact on the dining experience. Service excellent, fast friendly and polite. Had the spiced Panko chicken burger. Lacked a little spice (I do like food spicy though) but served hot and was tasty.. all good! 5 stars all the way!!

Disappointing regarding the food; the menu says there are gluten free options. But when we asked due to allergies staff advised we shouldn't order them -the items shouldn't be marked as gluten free. Instead they should be marked as NGCI (None gluten containing ingredients) on the menu. Did appreciate staff honesty though. Good selection of drinks and staff were very nice. The pub is comfortable and clean

Visited with friends for a few drinks. Reasonable prices for Edinburgh. Had a game of pool and met some people who were up from England for the 🏉 rugby.

I really liked this pub, it's got a lot going for it- nice seating at the front, the lovely old original wooden bar, cosy booths at the back, couple of pool tables and it's dog friendly. The staff and landlady seem like interesting characters, the music was decent - though if they had a jukebox this place would be perfect. We didn't eat anything but saw burgers coming out of the kitchen that looked very tasty. Wish I lived closer by to the place, would make a brilliant local

My friend and I came to this place around 11:50 for breakfast and we both ordered pancakes with bacons and maple syrup. Although we were the second customers today and the whole place was empty, we received our pancakes around 12:45, which was quite late since all we ordered was four pieces of pancakes. By the time our pancakes came, our teas were cold so we could not enjoy the food that I would describe as decent. Overall, our experience here was not good and we will definitely not come here for a second time.

Had Chicken Caesar salad 🥗 delicious with just the right balance of sauce . Staff super friendly and great atmosphere. I hear the burgers are amazing

Horrible experience caused by a bloody pest of a drunk customer who wouldn't leave us alone otherwise the pub itself is ok and the staff were very pleasant. So unfortunately we left after one drink.

Great laid back vibe here. Bar staff attentive and chatty. We had burgers and they were fantastic. Definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic brunch, with a lovely airy bright ambience, very attentive and polite staff, and generally the feeling you get from locally owned businesses as opposed to cold corporate chains. An excellent new spot for food and drinks.

Lovely place for brunch and open til late too! New and necessary for the area.
