Food wasn't great when we ordered from here can't really comment of staff as was delivery

I'd be very careful it's the worst chippy ever just lately gone down hill fast, there pies are kept longer than normal very dry very disappointing, the fish is re fried sometimes to only thing good in that place is the Mediterranean kebab and even that's not the same, each to there own I certainly not be using it again...

Unless you want to wait for half a hour for your food, I’d recommend going elsewhere. The waiting times here are shocking. I went last week and they didn’t have the foresight to have prepared any chips, so had to wait half an hour for kebab and chips, and when I got home the kebab was cold.

I went in Tuesday 26th November lunch time and ordered chips, curry sauce and two small sausages with a small bottle of Fanta orange and had it open to eat, I was charged £9.50! What a rip off won't be coming back there again. The service was ok but I did have to repeat my order multiple times and he asked me twice if I wanted salt and vinegar.

First time visiting ( recommended by my son ) - chips were lovely and hot, kebab meat was nice.

This place is getting worse had a kebab chips and peas got home only 7m away the chips was cold all so the gravey was cold yhe kebab was disgusting phone to explain didit get an apology or ask to give my money back just wasn't interested woulded recommend this fish shop at all if says sorry or come back to re order nothing just didit want to no they used to be great

Absolutely amazing food I go here every Saturday for mum. Cod is freshly cooked, chips are always beautiful and hot. Sausages are standard chip shop sausages like any other chippy. The Mediterranean chicken is really nice and full of flavour. The ladies on the counter are lovely people. Everytime I go the chip shop is very busy. I would highly recommend

A rock-solid, well priced, local chippy that never lets you down. Finding a good local chippy, that has all your favourites, always piping hot, with lovely golden chips, is more challenging now than ever. We tried most of the locals during our first couple of years in the area, and Forest Town is the one we always go back to. Good food, fairly priced, and good folks behind the counter that always have a smile for you. Job's a good 'un!

Love Forest Town chippy nice i can order on line to collect I called in last night on way home and I even got batter bits haven't had them since younger days

Used to be the best fish and chip shop in the area. Their mini fish special for £3.80 is now £6.00 nearly 50% increase in a year... Still go occasionally, but too expensive now. Also their portion sizes are a lot smaller than they used to be.

Hard working staff are always polite and eager to have a laugh. Perfect Cod... Lovely batter .. 100%

Food always hot and service with a smile

It's normally good, but recently, the chips are warm at best, and the kebabs are getting smaller, and the yellow fat that ran out of it was enough to put me off.

It's a chippy and kebab shop. There are plenty of chips given with your order. Tend to wait when busy while people get the shipping orders in. Called or on line?

Had fish chips and peas just under 11vquid the worst meal by far I've ever had it was lousy chips were white peas no taste the fish was that over cooked it was like rubber I will never return again stay clear folks

Decent chippy, great portion size. Not super easy to park easily is my only real negative. Its been there forever doing what it does best. That's why folks come back.

Cracking chippy chicken meat to die for

This chippy for me has got to be one of the best around,I live in Mansfield Woodhouse and I'll travel up to forest town especially to use your chip shop. The chips are delicious,best iv had in a long time. The chicken meat is to die for. You are a great price too. The only chippy I can go to and feed 5of us for £20 and that's with a 2ltr bottle of pop. Keep up your amazing work. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed

These owners are just surviving on the old Greek owners reputation. The staff and in particularly the Asian man are rude and miserable. No please or thank you or even a hint of a smile. They got my 2 item order wrong, and couldn't even apologise for giving me a gravy mix rather than a curry mix (he even wrote it down) . All it takes is a pleasant attitude and I wouldn't of even bothered writing this review. Jet another good chippy taken over and run into the ground. TERRIBLE!

The least impressive kebab i have ever had from the so small i actually had to ask if that was the large kebab or had they given me a small one in error, but no they confirmed it was indeed a large kebab . Needless to say wont be going back in a hurry

This place has grown on me starting to like it more, my mum n dad love it for a special fish Friday, kids meals are great with sweets and drink brilliant.

Great food, chips were full and juicy, kebab meat was tasty, and sausage in-batter was nice and crispy. Service was prompt, and prices were good

Most of the food is cooked to order which means you may have to wait a while but your food is piping hot and fresh.

Been here a couple of time since moving in locally and the food has been amazing both times. Fish is cooked to order so lovely and fresh and you don't have to wait long. Highly recommended

Lovely chicken curry and chips big portions too

I enjoyed my fish from here, great taste, great batter, really nice fish. I also enjoyed the chips, but on this occasion I wanted a fish. The shop spotless and the staff brilliant! You are only allowed 2 people in shop at the time I visited, everybody queued appropriately. If your driving, it's a bit awkward to park, but you can if you look, it is worth a visit and try!! Enjoy folks!

Fish tasted bad it was haddock it tasted old and stale. Chips were dry and undercooked. Will stick to Dave's from now on. This was 2 weeks ago ..

Food was not up to standard at all, bad stomach after visiting. Will not go back here.

Under new ownership, visited yesterday, fish was over cooked, batter was brown the flesh was dry, chips were rubbery.. Not the standard we have always received from Forest Town Chippy in the past.. I now won't go here again.
