Used to be a great food delivery service. However we have tried three times in the last 10 days but they just don’t pick up the phone Won’t be bothering again

Oven Chips and Frozen battered Cod Absolutely disgusting food and this is a tourist town with international visitors. You shame out nation with this insult to our national dish. You should be ashamed of yourself. Oh and £19 for 2 meals too. Shocking. And £0.65p for a ketchup too.

We have always gone here for fish and chips when we visit Bourton but won't be visiting again. Surprised to find frozen oven chips in the box along with a fish resembling a frozen one from the supermarket. There is no way they battered that fish. The only good thing to say was the food was hot, but then it would be if just came out of the oven!!! It wasn't cheap over £20 for 2 fish and chips and a can of coke. I don't mind paying good money for quality food but this was extremely disappointing.

Fantastic food. The burgers are proper home made, not mass produced. If you like real burgers you can NOT go wrong with the house special. We also had scampi and wife recons it was some of the best she’s ever had. Really good value for money 100% recommend

Chips were terrible I would say they frozen and fried then there was the price! I don’t mind paying good money for good tasty food and my experience this certainly wasn’t good tasty food

What a terrible experience! Tonight I made a terrible mistake there were so many people in the chip shed I decided to try this place…. Firstly I couldn’t believe the cost £31.10 for a very basic fish/chips, scampi/ chips, 2 cans and three sausages for the dogs. After picking myself up off the floor I thought prices have gone up and I like to try new places. When it eventually came the chips were inedible, they must have been sitting all day. Just like normal oven chips, so hard I could eat them. Even my dogs couldn’t tolerate them! What a let down this has been, I know that next Friday I’m going to be happy waiting in line outside a proper establishment however long the queue…..

My food was absolutely poor I threw it In the bin it was delivered cold this pizza well I don’t even think it’s seen an oven in its life the chips where well over cooked the cheesy garlic bread tasted stale and the curry sauce well it was more watery than anything else safe to say will not be ordering again from theyre Absolutley disgusting

I took my grandchildren to the village for lunch as a local living here we hadn't done it before. I was shocked at the cost 3 adult meals (none had fish!) and 2 children's meals 3 cans of pop and 2 fruit shoots came to £38! Upon finding a suitable place to sit and getting to open our meal boxes we were all very disappointed. Extremely overcooked chips, undercooked pie, and dubiously battered sausage greeted us. After attempting to eat the chips which were tasteless dry and not at al nice most of it went in the bin! Top tip if you go here just ask for the cardboard box to eat as it will taste a lot better than your chips! I called to complain and was just told we have changed chip supplier, and they have tried fresh and frozen. I asked why they couldn't just cut a proper chip I was told they didn't have a machine to do it !! Mind blown! The previous owners supplied lovely fresh cut cooked chips. The person I spoke to took my name and number with the promise of a manager calling me back. Nearly 2 weeks on I am still waiting! I do hope that locals especially vote with their feet !

Bought some chips for my two children. A very small portion. Had to buy a second at the Chip Shed, as not even enough for one. Go to the Chip Shed, a few doors up, much better quality. The chips were frozen chips so not even fresh. £2.50 for not even a child’s portion.

Was going to go to the chip shop up the road but the queue was long so decided to try Food Box Planet instead. So glad we did - 3 x fish and chips and all of them were excellent sized portions and perfectly cooked. Chips were golden and fish was crispy with a bit of grease oozing out and fish tasted lovely. Great service - cooked while we waited outside and brought to the door when ready. Will definitely be back - thank you.

Popped in here on a Sunday night. We are locals to the Bourton area and were looking for a quick dinner. We found the Food Box Planet and it was brilliant. We had fish and chips. The fish was fresh with a crispy batter, chips were great and the tartar sauce was homemade and very yummy. It was as good if not better than any fish and chips we've had in a pub. To make things better they even had lager on tap. The service was excellent. Highly recommend this place. We will be back.

I ordered a pizza, sausage,halloumi, chips and tried some of the hot wings and to be honest it’s just average. The hot wings were nice though. Halloumi is so greasy and after one bite you feel full and don’t want to eat any more. The pizza tastes and looks like a store bought pizza and the tomato sauce on the pizza is so strong. The sausage have a funny tang to them. And I’ve left the best till last the chips. They were like frozen chips and not very nice to eat. The staff were friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble. Also tried one of the milkshakes which are nice but a little bit expensive for the size of it.

Just had excellent fish & Chips from Food Box Planet - was really impressed with the free delivery, polite & friendly service, large portions and great tasting food. It was delivered exactly on time, was piping hot and exceeded expectations. Would recommend highly and will definitely be using them again!

Good service, affordable prices and good quality food. This is more accessible than the other fish and chip shop which is more central and usually stupidly busy and the quality of the food is very good.

This is by far the best take away. Staff are really friendly and the food is 10/10. My kids love it too 5 star for me 👍

Great service , staff was very friendly , my order was quick and they make everything fresh ala minute . Would totally recommand , definatelly the place i will visit all the time i go to Bourton on the Water .

We live in Bourton and have had food delivered a few time now and the service is Brilliant, always arrives on time and the quality of the food is excellent.

Lovely take away treat. We have eaten from here several times and never been disappointed! We live locally and they even deliver to our door 😀 My husband is coeliac and I’m gluten intolerant and the cod and chips from here were the best we’d...

I can honestly say these was the best fish & chips and pizza I have had in years! Piping hot , delicious and served with a smile. What else could you ask for 🙂. PERFECT!!! We will definitely try it again. Thank you FOOD BOX...
