Flint Restaurant in Waveney

Found Flint on line the night of New Year’s Eve and called to book in. Immediately we were greeted by Nelson who was so welcoming and friendly and informative, we were offered the selection of starters and set meal, as we didn’t eat meat he brought us an alternative mushroom dish to go with the starters which were delicious. The olives were the best we’ve ever had. On to the mains my husband had a traditional Portuguese dish which was incredible. We loved the set up and decor and the courtyard is fabulous and we will definitely make the journey again for the pizzas in the Woodfired oven, one of the best meal out experiences I’ve had in a long time! Thank you Nelson and all who work at Flint for such a fabulous meal and end to 2023 !

This was a date night for myself and my wife . This was the fist time we used Flint. Staff were brilliant , food was excellent . We will definitely be going back soon.

This is an absolutely brilliant little restaurant. Portuguese food cooked by Portuguese. This is the best food we have had since we moved up to Lowestoft 2 years ago. The portions are huge. We opted for the portuguese meat platter and tapas. If the food wasn't enough, the ambience is also just how we like it, chilled and family orientated. I would say to anybody who lives or is holidaying nearby should pay a visit, you will not be disappointed. As a side note, the menu is extensive not just portuguese, but if you are going to a portuguese restaurant you really should try the Portuguese food.

Although tucked away in the North end of Lowestoft once inside you will appreciate how the owner has invested in making the restaurant look authentically Portuguese. We had Americano Coffee and a Cappuccino plus the Flint Breakfast and Ham & Cheese Omelette. Total cost just over £18 which was very value All the drinks and food were fresh and well presented on our plates. Richardo was very polite and helpful and we certainly will be back to this very well maintained, clean restaurant.

Out for a sunny afternoon stroll after a quick drink and came across Flints. What a gem, nice atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor eating. Tried the thinly sliced pork, marinated for 24 hours, and what a treat that was, served with rice, salad & fries, also lemon chicken with the same accompaniments. Both were delicious washed down with sangrias. Well worth a visit but probably book to make sure. We will be back….soon.

One of the best experiences I’ve had while eating out in Lowestoft! The food was amazing and the staff were fantastic! From portion size to flavour and everything in between the Flint is top of the tree… can’t wait to be back again soon!

WOW what a hidden gem, the food is first class, the service is first class, the standards are very high and would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone to visit, my husband had 3 different dishes, 1 prawns, 1 mussels and 1 clams done in different sauces, he said the best he has eaten, my son and I had 1/2 rotisserie chicken, mine in lemon sauce and my son in piri piri sauce both excellent.

I wanted pizza and decided it was time to try Flint. Started with bread and olives. The olives tasted great and a lovely texture. I then had a wood fired pizza, it was thin and tasty. All finished off with a Portuguese beer. I recommend a visit soon.

We came across this restaurant whilst visiting the town. The staff were friendly,the food delicious and to top it all the downstairs is dog friendly! We actually only went in for coffee but ended up having an early dinner and so glad we did. Will definitely return if we are that way again.

We sat outside in the rear courtyard and ate on a sunny evening. The service was outstanding and the food quality was exceptional. We were served by couple of people and really enjoyed the Portuguese atmosphere and service. A great experience and would highly recommend. They also have a pizza wood fired oven in the courtyard.
