I had been looking forward to try this place for a while, and today finally made it. I thought of the place being really cute and everything super well presented. Food was wonderful. Our waiter was not the best mannered, but I understand is young people who are learning. Our bill (2 people) came to £40 and I left 2 x £20 notes, plus some change and mentioned how great the price was. As nobody was coming to the table to take the money, we left (this was our mistake) it on the table and went on our way. Only to receive a call this evening saying there was only 1 £20 note and I had to make the payment for the other £20 on the phone. I am 100% certain of leaving 2 notes so my guess is someone took it. This phone call just received, the embarrasment and having to pay £60 for my meal instead of £40, has really ruined for me what previously had been a lovely experience, so , sadly, won't be coming back. To whoever took the £20 note, bravo, I hope you enjoy it.

Great restaurant. The food is very good and the service friendly and efficient. It’s lovely to see young people in training- generally enthusiastic and hopeful for their future. Their lecturers are also friendly and welcoming.

Just visited Fletchers for one of their themed evenings. This time was an especially unusual one - a Finnish evening inspired by the Level 3 students recent visit to the country. Six wonderful courses for less than £30. I couldn’t believe how good it was. First course was a shared bread and dip course - sour dough bread and salted flat bread accompanied by crawfish mayo, flavoured butters and a selection of pickles (delicious). Next came white fish gravlax accompanied by a fennel and liquorice mayo - seems this very unique flavour is very Finnish. I wanted more! This was followed by a succulent salmon dish in a dill fish broth - so good! And then came the piece de resistance - a perfectly grilled venison loin with braised venison also, potato puree, pickles and gravy. I thought I’d died and gone to heaven (no - just Finland). Two dessert courses followed. I don’t have a sweet tooth but my two friends were nearly ‘daggers at dawn’ fighting for my extra portion. The first sweet course looked so terrific that even though I didn’t eat it, I just had to take a photo. I nearly weakened at the last course a chocolate mousse egg but had it snatched from me before I could give in. What a terrific evening! Why oh why don’t more people know of this outstanding restaurant?

Went for a birthday meal for the first time since it moved from Adams building in the Lace Market. Quite slow to be seated. Was themed Japanese meal. Food was good but not very imaginative. If you don't like fish or veggie, you ended up with chicken for starter and main (they were differently done). Serving students very pleasant.

We are regulars at Fletchers, it has a great atmosphere, wonderful staff and amazing food. It’s important to us to support the students as they build their skills and career in the food and drink sector. It is also fantastic value for money

This hidden gem is a must if you're in Nottingham and like fine food. Fletcher's Dining is at Nottingham College, staffed by students. We were recommended we visit here by a local friend, and our first time certainly won't be our last. You book the date you want, but be warned, they book up fast, and choose the meat or vegetarian menu, and then sit back and relax! The team met us at the door and although they were clearly nervous, they were friendly throughout. We had five different courses of delicious food, and in no way would you say this food was from someone in training, it was amazing. From braised pigs cheeks, to polenta cake, it was a taste sensation. Highly recommended, but do book early!

Had a delicious 3 course lunch for a very reasonable £16.95 The restaurant is staffed by students learning the hospitality trade working front of house and in the kitchen. If you want a flavourful meal from restaurateurs of the future then give fletchers a visit. You won't be disappointed. A big shout out to Brandon who did a great job seeing to our table today.

I have recently been to a few meals at Fletchers, the most recent being the Notts and Derby Wine School evening and a level 3 student takeover menu 14th June 'British coastline Menu'. The wine school evening was a first..... who knew wine has legs! This evening was pricer than normal but you get fabulous food paired with a different wine for each course. While you are waiting each course to come out you are given a great rundown of the wine, where it's produced and how to develop your appreciation of the flavour. Very interesting and will be booking another of these evenings. The British Coastline menu was excellent out of the five courses I could not pick a favourite..... praise indeed. The standard of food was excellent, service was good and staff as helpful as ever...... Chris will happily recommend a wine if you are stuck for choice. Taking of wine..... there's a new wine list.... win, win! I will be back in a couple of weeks for the Gala menu, just a shame it closes for Summer!

This was my first visit, but it won't be the last! I was impressed that my menu had been altered to take into account my food allergy. The food that I had was excellent and the service struck just the right balance between attentive, but not invasive. Great prices too.

Lunch An excellent value 3 course lunch. Fletchers is a restaurant that is staffed by students who are being trained by industry professionals whilst gaining experience in a real working restaurant. Therefore Fletchers Restaurant operates in term time only. They have regular themed evenings and collaborations with award-winning chefs. One being a former student chef_hira_thakur who has gone on to have a very successful career in the industry including an appearance in Master Chef. Our visit was at lunch time where they have on offer a three course menu for the very reasonable price of £13.95. There were three of us so we had "one of everything on the menu". Always wanted to say that in a restaurant.🤣 Starters Mushroom soup Pressed ham hock Megrim sole paupiette - As good as any restaurant we've been to and had this in. Mains Pan fried chicken breast Rosemary Gnocchi Ray wing - which we've never had before but was delicious. Desserts Ginger cheesecake White chocolate mousse Sticky toffee pudding a good old classic😋 The young servers were lovely with their white gloves on and looked very professional. If you are in town and want somewhere completely different from the norm, at a very good value price. Then give these students your support and see the future stars of the industry.

The French Evening five course taster menu was excellent. I particularly liked the veloute whilst my wife enjoyed the red mullet. Service by Molly was also attentive, courteous and smooth so someone in the hospitality industry will get a fine employee once she is ready to dive into the career.

A great evening at Fletchers and such value for money. Their menus are always changing so keep and eye out a few months in advance and something is sure catch your eye. We went for spice night, 5 courses for £22. Our waiter was lovely and had great banter, it makes you appreciate how easy the professionals make it look. We even learned how to properly open a bottle of wine! The food was really tasty and service was very efficient. Looking forward to trying new menus soon. I can confirm that the bouncer on the door is fully qualified...

Same for the first time yesterday and had the lunch time special. Fish, chips and a generous portion of Mushy peas. Fished cooked fresh. I have to say, I thought the chip shop in wollaton was the best in Nottingham but this was beat it of top spot. It was delicious. It was £8.80 but fed 2 of us. Wish it was nearer... maybe I don't 😉
