Had a wonderful Sunday lunch here with my family. The food and drink was quickly served, and the quality was top notch. Our waiter Qasim was on top of things and explained the menu for us and gave us his recommendation which turned out to be great. Definitely will return.

Brilliant food and value. Had the steak with smoked aubergine. The veg was to die for, and the steak very commendable (for 14£!). Would go again in a heartbeat.

Simple menu with a limited choice of meats but everything they serve is just so tasty! The steaks are good and well cooked - ideal for sharing but all the side dishes are just so good. Macaroni cheese, aubergine & truffle fries are my favourites. Well priced and gets busy in the evening. My only minor quibble is their online booking system which seems to block book times for non availability.

First timers, I’d followed on Insta for a while and had to visit. So today we did. 6 of us (3 adults 3 kids) and we all loved it. Everything was spot on, from the cheeky popcorn, then the steaks were epic, we had the signature, the wagyu special and the burger too, plus sides of chips, Mac n cheese and the roasted aubergine: all of it excellent. Then a lovely ice cream on the way out. Great food, great experience. Definitely recommended.

Delicious, fresh ingredients, and friendly staff!

I love coming to this restaurant chain. this was the first time at this location and it was highly recommended, upstairs it had more of a pub vibe where you could eat, and when we went down the stairs we entered a very cozy restaurant with an open kitchen. You immediately received water and a bowl of popcorn in advance and the chef personally came to tell us what the menu entailed and what he would recommend. Always go for the chef's favorite and that was the picanha in this case. I had it cooked medium rare on the chef's advice and it was absolutely fantastic. Recommended to go for the mashed potatoes and spinach as side dishes. I enjoyed it immensely and would come back again.

This was my 1st visit to Flat Iron and I loved it. The food was amazing. I loved that my steak knife was a small cleaver😄😄. I recommend booking as there was a queue. The staff were friendly and knew the menu.

A great place that does one thing very well. My steak was beautifully cooked (med rare) and tasted wonderful. The creamed spinach and aubergine sides are well-worth getting; we got both to share between two, along with chips and were happy. Popcorn cooked in beef dripping to begin, and some really delicious ice cream to leave with, both complimentary, and you have a place that is decent value, especially for London. I will be returning! It does get busy so try to book; we just managed to get a walk-in for two at the end of a short communal table but those after us were having to wait a fair bit.

We’re a party of 6 and was lucky enough to get squeezed in for a spot for dinner without reservation. Food was ok but 3 out of 4 of us who ate the medium rare steak got food poisoning - nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, fever, muscle aches, the whole nine yards. Did not get a good rest that night, and felt terrible the next day. Definitely would not recommend.

There’s no need to wait around 3 p.m when I arrived,and the food is served quickly. The bone marrow mashed potatoes are highly recommended, though the spinach isn’t to my taste. The steak is fine, and considering the price, there’s nothing to complain about. After the meal, you can exchange a small knife keychain for ice cream, but it’s too sweet for me.

Yum yum yum. Their signature steak was just as good as the server described and what makes more outstanding is the super reasonable prices. It was cooked just like we ordered it and was served swiftly. Make reservations first because as recommend because there will be a line. We will miss this place when we go back home to Los Angeles.

I Went to flat iron at king’s Cross on sunday, food was amazing but The guy (we asked name :Armin )Who served us was unpolite It seems like we annoyed him. If you are not able to do your job, You cannot do it. all The rest was faboulous

I went to flat iron king's cross on Sunday night with friends, we were greeted by a very welcoming and kind girl, excellent food, the steaks and side dishes were really good. only problem was a guy who served us at the table in a very rude way, slamming the drinks on the table,name is Armin.unfortunately in this job who give you money are customers ,but with a person like this people might not come back.

This is the best steak restaurant!! The staff is so friendly and the food is delicious and really great👍👍 It was the first meal I had after arriving in London, and it was really delicious. The flat iron steak was delicious, but the beef special was really great!! I decided on the beef special after listening to the staff's explanation, and it was really delicious!! When you finish eating, they give you ice cream. The ice cream is so delicious that I wanted to eat more!! It was the perfect ending, including the ice cream studded with vanilla beans😋😋 Definitely recommend if you come to London!!

This flat iron branch is a 5 minute walk from king cross station. I would strongly recommend booking in advance, as we had to wait 40 minutes for a table to he free. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. We were handed popcorn, which was unlimited, whilst waiting for our meal. I ordered the lime and mint drink and it’s a great alcohol alternative to a mojito! I ordered a medium to well-done steak which was so yum, and a portion of fries with pepper corn sauce, after the meal we were given a little free token for ice cream at the end, which was a lovely dessert. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. The only issue was that the air-con was on too high, making it cold where I sat 🥶

We’ve eaten at a number of different flat iron restaurants, but never before have we had such amazing service. Pip looked after us and made our evening even more special by her lovely, friendly manner. Nothing was ever too much of a problem, even when I knocked my glass of wine all over the table!! The food and service was excellent and we would definitely book to go back again to the Kings Cross flat iron restaurant :)

First off, the steak size is like 1/4 to 1/3 smaller and tastes less in general than the soho chains. Second, The mac and cheese was not fully cooked, I had crunchy pasta I had to spit out. Third, the waiters seems much more unbothered than the soho chain waiters. Lastly, they did not give us free ice cream after. The king cross chain is clearly there for tourists, if you can go to soho, go.

The food and service here was excellent. The young man on the front of house on 5th October, was incredibly helpful, charming and professional. What an asset to the company.

Amazing staff and very friendly but really really small portions, the sides are incredibly small, 4 spoonfuls of mash etc. tiny chips cones considering it's kinda a steak and chips place. Went with 5 people and everyone made a comment on the size. Bit of a shame, especially when competing with a variety of local Sunday roasts, it's ok priced but if your hungry maybe try somewhere else

The food delicious as always & service 10/10. My parents loved the atmosphere (first time going) & we would definitely be going there again as a family! Thank you again!

Tender steak and spinach sauce are very delicious.

We had a lovely time, and the prices were soooo reasonable for the quality. The garlic mash is a must, and the complimentary ice cream at the end was such a nice surprise.

I walked in without a reservation at 1pm on a Monday afternoon and was seated swiftly at the sharing table. The nicest waiter (whose name i didn't catch) offered a complimentary mug of buttery popcorn which was promptly followed by my order - flat iron steak. The steak was cooked to perfection with a brilliant balance of flavors. After settling the bill, I was handed a tiny steak knife souvenir and got a delicious, complimentary icecream (Tahitian vanilla with chocolate shavings).

They simply focus on what they are good at! Everything we had was outstanding. Flat Iron steak, peppercorn sauce, fries (chips) and mint/pea salad. Delicious. We didn’t have the Mac and cheese but gauging from those around us it’s a must order.

Review: Flat Iron near King’s Cross is the perfect spot for a delicious dinner after arriving back in London. We had the flat iron steak with peppercorn sauce, chips, and garlic mashed potatoes—all cooked to perfection. The steak was tender and flavorful, and the Malbec paired beautifully with it. The complimentary popcorn to start and the creamy vanilla ice cream for dessert (served in a waffle cone with chocolate sprinkles!) were wonderful touches. Every bite was delightful, and the service was exceptional throughout. Flat Iron is definitely my go-to when in London! Highly recommend.

The host and servers were very attentive and friendly, and their flat iron steak was absolutely juicy and delicious ! The food was served quickly and we didnt have to wait too long! And the ice cream they offered after the meal was so good too ! Reservation highly recommended.

Lovely little restaurant with good service, good prices, and lovely ambience. Unfortunately, the steak was not to my taste, I had wagyu, and it was just slimy and underdone. I am prepared to believe it's just my taste, but I prefer a bit more texture to my steak.

Went at 7pm on a Wednesday. Was able to walk in and be put on the wait-list for a table for 2 - spent the 40 min wait at a nice pub (Scottish stores) 3 min away. Food was delicious... Just wish they gave us more chips. And the ice cream afterwards was such a treat. Service was welcoming and helpful.

A great steakhouse with quick and friendly services. I sampled all the main courses—the Wagyu flat iron was outstanding, the striploin was beyond acceptable however the burger was below expectations as the patty was somehow shewy! Overall, it was an acceptable experience and I would for sure recommend it to meat lovers

Really good service but if you want a great steak I would go elsewhere. They do not salt+dry the steak enough before cooking, leading to chewy dishes. I tried the Scottish Bavette - medium rare. This has good flavour but was chewy + stringy on one side and softer on the other. Generally tough. Wagyu skirt - medium rare. Also quite tough to get through, flavour was better than the Bavette but not enough to justify the price. Flat iron steak - would not recommend this one as 3 people and I on my table had this cut and it was a battle to get through. You need some serious jaw power. The issue is that you need to offer some nicer cuts such as Sirloin or Ribeye. A charcoal grill would also improve the flavour and get that mallard reaction on the outside of the meats. Best sides are the Mac n cheese and chips. Complimentary ice cream also makes a great desert.
