Great food, good service and pleasant surroundings. Also good value for London!

I booked a table at the Flat Iron King’s Cross branch today at 12 noon. Firstly I had an extra little person with me and they were so accommodating, finding a table where they could add another chair. Dan our waiter was an absolute Diamond, he went above and beyond with our extra little person even allowing him to help making the popcorn with him. Honestly such Incredible Customer Service Thank you so much Dan, we will return. 🙂

Food is decent and atmosphere is good. however the front desk lady is really rude. Surprised she is representing the company at the front.

I was shocked when the bill came The person who helped us pay the bill was a waiter named Christian. Optional Donation listed on bill Has 12.5% ​​Opt Service Charge There is no one to help us. Later, we asked not to pay these fees because we were not sure. The waiter who finally got the receipt became Alex mgr It feels like a fool Overall experience was good for the most part The other waiters are also very nice Just encountered a small incident You need to be careful when checking out.

Wagyu steak cuts of the day were excellent. Service was swift and friendly. Sides and ice cream all top notch. Reasonably priced. Couldn't ask for more!

Really good service but if you want a great steak I would go elsewhere. I tried the Scottish Bavette - medium rare. This has good flavour but was chewy + stringy on one side and softer on the other. Generally tough. Wagyu skirt - medium rare. Also quite tough to get through, flavour was better than the Bavette but not enough to justify the price. Flat iron steak - would not recommend this one as 3 people and I on my table had this cut and it was a battle to get through. You need some serious jaw power. The issue is that you need to offer some nicer cuts such as Sirloin or Ribeye. A charcoal grill would also improve the flavour and get that mallard reaction on the outside of the meats. Best sides are the Mac n cheese and chips. Complimentary ice cream also makes a great desert.

I turned up with a racing bike at short notice and they couldn’t have done enough for me. Nothing was too much to ask and accommodated everything, 10/10

Lovely service and amazing food!!

Manager was so rude, didn’t want to give us a table at 9.40pm which is ridiculous, and after asking for explanation they just said he is not going to serve us food for some reason. Not all stuff rude but management is questionable.

One of the best steaks you can get, and the price is remarkable! Honestly, you guys know what you’re doing - you are serving up better steak than some high-end restaurants. The food, drinks and little additions were all perfect. A special shoutout to Ella and Albert as well for their excellent service.

Had a wonderful experience at this Caledonian Road branch! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We arrived an hour before our reservation because we were tired and cold, and they kindly seated us within 10 minutes. The steaks, both sirloin and Wagyu, were delicious. However, the chips were refried and a bit too oily for our taste. Despite that, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be returning.

This branch gets busy, and rightfully so! Upon realising most people had a booking, I was worried I wouldn’t get in however the host was wonderful in accommodating to me and squeezing me in for lunch. I was served by the lovely Ella, and she encouraged me to get something new with my steak (creamed spinach) which I thoroughly enjoyed. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and as I was on a solo date all the waitresses made sure I felt comfortable and checked on me. Overall a 10/10 experience, and I look forward to coming back to this branch again :) Thankyou again to all the team for a delicious Sunday lunch!

Very friendly staff. Good meat, with sauces that complement it well. Very reasonable prices considering this is next to Kings Cross. Have seen this concept in different cities across Western Europe but this one is by far my favourite.

Nice but not worth the 1hr and a half wait , make sure you book or youl never get in.

You must make a reservation before dining. We went directly to get a reservation on site. Fortunately, we only had to wait for less than 40 minutes. Different types of steaks have different experiences. It is highly recommended!

Ended up eating here randomly on a Monday evening. The menu is very simple and the food was amazing. Especially given the prices are incredibly low for the taste and the amount of food we’ve had. The kids also loved the steak and the fries. Would definitely come again.

Great food and service in and out in 40 minutes

Tried Wagyu hanger steak, the texture is okay, but not much flavor of Wagyu beef. Personally I prefer the steak with caramelization. But what else can you get with this price in London. The service and atmosphere are great.

im an avid flat iron fan, but THIS BRANCH HITS DIFFERENT. i always try to come back to caledonian road branch. my favourite steak is the wagyu picanha. you already know this isnt my last time coming here. only complaint is that its a little noisy

Visited the restaurant twice and won’t go again due to the terrible, racist services. White staff here seemed absent-minded when serving me and my partner. We stood at the gate waiting to be seated but ignored by all five white staff who didn’t actually have any work at hand. We asked for the bill and waited nearly half an hour, realizing the white female staff we talked to forgot us. Don’t go if you don’t want to be ignored by those racists.

£13 for not just a perfect steak but a wholehearted experience. 10/10

Very busy but outstanding food.

So so good. The steak is super tasty and the sides omggg I want them rn!! The bone marrow mac and cheese was so so good. I’m definitely coming back here.

Flat Iron is our go to for a delicious steak, amazing sides, fab atmosphere and the best service. Been to Covent Garden and Kings Cross, both excellent. Can't bring myself to trade the cute little flat iron tokens in for free ice cream just yet though! Well worth a try.

This restaurant is super nice (much more than the one in Covent Garden...)! The staff is super friendly, smiling and welcoming. The meat and fries are perfect. And the free popcorn and ice cream are always a pleasure.

Blooming Marvellous! Friendly, helpful, polite staff who genuinely look and sound like they enjoy their work. The food was brilliant, as was the endless popcorn (kids needed this). I would book ahead as it was super busy. I love the little cleavers to eat with and get your ice cream. Overall, it was a brilliant experience; I would highly recommend it, and will go back.

A recent visit on a busy Saturday evening was worth it. We were offered the window seat which was fine considering we had no reservation and the queue was growing. The steak was cooked to perfection. £14 is super reasonable for a choice farm to fork cut. The staff were helpful without being overbearing. Prices were reasonable. The complementary ice cream is a treat. No complaints AT ALL.

The wagyu flat streak was flavorful and had a great texture. It's probably the best tasting steak I have eaten in years. Then, when I thought it couldn't get any better, I tried the garlic mash - the buttery garlic flavor was amazing, but what put it over the top was the crispy bone marrow. It was both tasty and enjoyable to eat.

Loved the food: we all had flat iron steaks with drinks. I went there for a team lunch. It’s a nice cosy place. Service is really good and food was top quality. Icing on the cake is, they give you ice cream tokens which look a mini chopper. Definitely worth visiting again.

Our favourite place for an easy date night. The food is reliably good and is such good value for money. Highly recommend the creamed spinach and peppercorn sauce!

The steaks were the star of the show, but the sides put up a strong effort to steal the spotlight. The crispy bone marrow garlic mash was absolutely velvety and had just the right amount of butter (which is a lot). 5/5 will return again.

Myself and my partner had such a lovely time this evening at flat iron, we have been to a few different locations and this one was definitely the best, all down to our lovely server Cristina! I often feel anxious about eating out at restaurants but as soon as she welcomed us at our table I felt immediately at ease. She was very knowledgable about the menu offering us suggestions based on our preferences and also found the time to be so polite, patient and attentive with us, despite what seems to be a very busy and stressful job and whatever I say could not do justice to just how amazing and professional she was with us. The food was also lovely as always and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you!

The restaurant obviously works on a quick turn around so don't go if you aren't immediately hungry, you get served food quite quickly. The popcorn is a nice addition for snacking on whilst you wait for the food and drinks. The steaks themselves were lovely, I'd say the sides were probably better than the steaks, we had four to share and each one was flavourful. Having Ice Cream for dessert all ready factored into the price was a nice touch as well. Would definitely recommend for a meal.

The restaurant has a really good vibe, tasty food and good service. We were served by Junior who was really cool and professional. I liked my well done steak and my friend loved her medium done. The Chips were really good - much better than you average chips anywhere. The music was very well suited to the place too. And a free ice cream at the end is a great add on.

Visited here recently with my partner. We had a great time, we both ordered the "Flatiron Steak" with shared side plates of the Mac and Cheese, Spinach and Beef Dripping Chips. The Steak and Spinach were definitely the highlights of the meal. The steak was really well cooked (perfect medium rare) - I do wish though it had more of a char to it though. We did find the mac and cheese, funnily enough not to our taste. Chips were alright. Great service and atmosphere. Not to mention the free ice-cream and popcorn are a really nice touch. Definitely worth a visit and the prices are extremely reasonable.

Top! Super recommended for food quality, kind and attentive service, almost unrivaled value for money in London. We stayed at Flat Iron London Bridge for two consecutive evenings because we loved it. It's a shame that I discovered it at the end of the holiday!

I had an exceptional experience. The ambiance was warm and friendly. Our waiter Helena was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made excellent recommendations. The steak was cooked to perfection, and every dish we tried was delicious. I highly recommend Flat Iron and will definitely return, especially if I have the pleasure of being served by Helena again.

We had lunch at Flat Iron today, we didn’t have a booking and were lucky they found a lovely table for us. The staff was very professional and friendly, they took really good care of us. The food was great as well we almost tasted the whole menu and everything was delicious. No dessert menu but a free ice cream on our way out 😋 so clever ! I 100% recommend you stop by if you’re in the neighbourhood you won’t regret it !

I come to this Flat Iron every other Friday and the service is always superb! Love the food, the staff are nice and the environment is lovely and chilled! Highly recommend for a good steak!

Excellent place. I highly recommend the Kings Cross one as the staff there was very nice, unlike the Convent Garden one, particularly the receptionist.

They do a really good steak here and have some great side orders to go with it. Its quite busy and a little hectic but the staff are very efficient. Popcorn to start and an ice cream to finish, which are both complimentary. Prices are very reasonable too.

Served today evening by Mina at Kings Cross Flat Iron, very friendly, kind, really good service and made us feel so welcome. The food was amazing and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you!

Both the food and services are absolutely fantastic! I ordered a medium-rare flat iron steak, homemade beef dripping chips, with wild mushroom sauce, and a cup of lime & mint. After the meal, I was also served with a chocolate ice-cream for free!

I recently went to Flatiron in kings Cross although the food was very good I found the service was very rushed. Was in and out of the restaurant in just an hour.

Perhaps because I went alone, I was immediately shown a seat without waiting. The person who showed me to my seat was friendly, but The pot-bellied man taking the order sounded irritated because he couldn't understand English at once. When serving other foreigners, he smiled brightly and was kind, but to me he was blunt and expressionless and cold. Well, if I were to be paranoid, I would be paranoid,, It was the first evening in England, and thanks to this, the image of being a country of gentlemen was immediately shattered. Prices in London are not bad for the price. The steak was tough and not that good. Ice cream is delicious

The store isn't very large and there is a wait, so it's best to get there quickly! I had my first and last meal in London at Flatiron. The ice cream is so delicious it's crazy The steak is salty on the first day, so when ordering on the last day, I asked for it to be less salty and ordered a green salad on the side instead of spinach cream, and it was so delicious!! If you are not good at eating salty foods, be sure to Ask for less salty food and be sure to order a green salad!!! The meat was medium rare and a bit tough, but medium was just right for me!! He was always friendly and was very good at recommending cocktails. It was the best restaurant in England♡♡

Where do I start, the service was impeccable, the staff were very friendly and really polite. The atmosphere was amazing and while sitting in the restaurant it did start to get packed quickly, which tells you how nice the food is. Now the food was absolutely delicious, I had rib eye, beef dripping chips, creamy spinach and all were seriously delicious, I also had spicy mayo and wild mushroom sauces which were really delicious and accompanied the chips and steak really well. To drink I had apple and rhubarb soft drink which tasted really nice. Overall this was an amazing experience and I definitely will return. The price was not too expensive. You can buy you own cleaver for £15 which I thought was a really nice touch it comes in a bag and box.

On my first trip to Europe, this was my first restaurant I visited. So I didn't really understand the culture of the United Kingdom and was rude. Nevertheless, the staff were very friendly. I just want to say thank you very much for dealing with me so that I don't feel ashamed. Also, I hope you understand with a generous heart that my actions are due to my ignorance of the culture, and I didn't mean anything bad. I'm sorry and grateful.

We are Canadians who are visiting London. Good absolutely delicious. From the steak, the sides to the cocktails. Friendly staff, a relaxed atmosphere with high quality food. Highly recommend.

Rushed through at 100mph. Waitress tried to take out order 3 times in 5 minutes after giving us the menus. One of our party asked for his steak cooked 'medium'. The waitress said it could only be done medium-rare or well done. When we asked why, she gave us an answer that made no sense at all. When the steaks arrived, the fat was white and almost raw (basically very poorly cooked). The bill was produced without us asking and we were out of the restaurant in under 90 minutes. The menu is very limited (which isn't a bad thing) but you would expect them to be able to cook their small amount of dishes well (which they didn't). Basically, a restaurant for people who are in a hurry and don't know anything about food.....It's a steak restaurant that can't cook steak. Also, the novelty popcorn is just silly.

We went to this restaurant last night, i.e. 10/06. Very quiet place that guarantees the evening. The manager is fantastic, he welcomed us with great kindness; the food is excellent and the quality/price ratio is also perfect. They offer water flavored with lemon and other citrus fruits (free, and can be refilled several times), in addition to this they bring popcorn (which can also be refilled from the appropriate machine). As if that wasn't enough, at the end of the dinner you are given a token, which can be used to obtain (for free!) a cone or cup with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sprinkles, amazing! I absolutely recommend this place! 5*

I went to Flat Iron yesterday and there was a hidden fee on my bill titled "OPTIONAL DONATION" which I did not consent to donate to nor was I aware of before paying. When I inquired, the waiter pointed to a tiny section on the menu, implying that it wasn't that "hidden", it was stated clearly on the menu. Fair enough, but not everyone reads every word on the menu and you can't just state it on the menu then automatically charge people without their consent. You're not entitled to my money that way. Making a statement on the menu doesn't equal consent. I'm a frequent customer of this franchise to the point I don't even read the menu anymore, now that they have this hidden fee in the name of donation that I didn't even notice. It's really not much, but I don't donate to a charity that I don't know how it works, where the money goes. I also don't give money to people or institutions that don't ask before taking my money. It's not about money, it's about consent. UPDATE: The worst part is the waiter said she'd tell the manager (or whoever was in charge) to refund me, but I got no refund at all. The payment went through, no refund after days and weeks. So it turned out to be a lie. My final verdict is this is modern day thievery. The money is way too small to make a big fuss, so the restaurant just casually and sneakily steals money in the name of charity. Even beggers have to ask for spare money, but Flat Iron doesn't. If this is not thief then I don't know what is. Try to do the math, each customer or each bill or each steak (not sure which) gives them 20p, how much each day do they make per restaurant? Then multiply by month. Is there any evidence of the money going straight to charity? I'm not sure, but there's one thing I know is that they don't ask for consent.

I tasted the wagyu steak: excellent both on its own and with side dishes. The slightly smoked mayonnaise made by them is worth trying. I also tried their flat iron steak. And then the ice cream... amazing. Kind and attentive staff. Good experience. In London you eat well.

I came here for my brothers birthday (five of us total) and the service couldn’t be any better. Christina was our server and was lovely and accommodating when the people next to us were being super loud. The food came very quickly and was delicious. We got complimentary ice cream at the end which just topped it for us, we will definitely be returning. By far one of the best services I think I’ve ever had at any restaurant in London.

Steak was served cold, then there was a massive gap between steaks coming out and then sauces/sides. Service was slow, only asked about a single drinks order in the whole time we were there. Team seemed nice from what we saw.

this is a very nice steak restaurant. we came here because our friends recommended it. it was close to their closing time. however, we were greeted with warm welcomes. the steak was great! mashed potatoes were super good! house salad was fresh! the best was the free ice cream at the end. overall we had a great experience at this place. highly recommend it!! you must go at least once to experience it yourself.
