Awesome pub with lovely cobs and well kept real ale. Very dog friendly.

Only popped in for a pint, passed it a couple of weeks ago with my dogs, dogs not allowed! A first for me in a Bathams pub. Decided to pop in on my own a few weeks later, music too loud, Bathams not served in a Bathams glass?? Two lads by the bar, like a private mens club. I'm a new face in the pub, not been in there for eighteen years, thought there would be a tad more engagement from the server. The beer was good though, and the cobs looked fresh and appealing. Bit more energy from the lads would of enticed me back. Shame, allow dogs and I would return. Five months on, new owners have taken over, and the pub feels totally different. Lovely staff, good beer, decent cobs and dog friendly. Well done.

Bathams pub with their usual excellent beers. Limited range of food,but good and quick.

What a fantastic little pub! Watched the England match and the atmosphere and drinks were great,the owner even had pizza delivered for everyone in the pub and everyone had a fantastic time! Highly recommend this pub and it’s a real ale house too! Live sports are shown here and they have a dart board and pool table too and there are loads of screens to watch sport on including a big screen in the main bar! Special shout out to Mike for the pizza and Callum and staff for the great drink and service!

Keep changing their bleeding mind about being dog friendly or not. Apparently management don't like dogs! Lost our custom!

NOT DOG FRIENDLY!!! Gutted! What a shame, my family have been regulars at this pub for a while now. We have always used the place weekly sometimes twice weekly to stop on our dog walks. Halfway through pouring our drinks the lady behind the bar, said ‘have you got a dog,’ (well she could see we did of course.) We were then told dogs were not allowed inside the pub. Which was of course news to us. It was a very damp day so we said nicely to leave it and left. Safe to say we won’t be going there anymore. Their policy was always that well ‘behaved dogs,’ could sit inside, and our dog is extremely well behaved. It wasn’t long ago we were told to support pubs to keep them going in fear of them closing their doors; they can close for me if they hate man’s best friend, it says a lot about people how they treat dogs I think. THE BULLS HEAD AND THE FOUNTAIN ARE DOG FRIENDLY, PLEASE GIVE THEM YOUR CUSTOM AND SUPPORT!

Nice pub, as pubs used to be years ago. Lovely cheese and onion cobs, and drinks with family for Christmas. Pleasant staff and nicely decorated for Christmas.

First time here and the pint of bathams is spot on, cobs full and fresh staff nice and pleasant the music choice was mixed from the juke Box. I will be back soon.

Love this place!!! The owners, managers and staff are absolutely lovely. Always smiling and always chatty, great atmosphere and a banging pint. I Personally would recommend "the widders" to anyone local or traveling

A free house with very good quality beverages and traditional pub fayre, staff are friendly as are local patrons too. Good facilities and serves tempting hot/cold meals. Slightly awkward parking at the rear of the establishment however it remains and a must visit place.

A friendly, welcoming atmosphere, with hospitable patrons who are not afraid to put the effort in to ensure their customers just keep on returning for more of the same. A fab night last night, with amazing Karaoke/ D.J and Male Artist, Mark Anthony. A must- see next time ! A special thanks to Wendy + 'H' and all the Bar Crew for making it such a brill event (again).

Went during the snow whilst the area was on shut down. Very busy! Young crowd in pool room, mixed ages in the other. Ales on and one of the few pubs serving hot food in the area at the moment.
