Super battered chips and proper mushy peas!

It's on the A 4168 priory road, heading to Wolverhampton or turning right at the lights heading to Birmingham. It's tucked away at least 5 meters from the main road kirb, but with plenty of room to park. Just make sure that your heading to Wolverhampton from Dudley too be on the write side of the road which will make parking easier and access, it's harder in opposite directions, due to the levels of traffic, but it does go quite in the evening "after 6 pm" . On entry to the premises, very well light with a very helpful staff and the premises are very clean with what they prepare on a 2 meter long light board by 600 mm wide showing everything they do and the price of the items they sell. Usually, this is in the evening after 5 pm there's a few customers in already waiting for their orders. Just come in "lovely and warm " ask politely if they customers you have met, who has order has been fulfilled . You wait for the customary acknowledge of yes or no. And depending upon which one you wait inline or place your order and wait. The quality of the food is good , with good portions depending upon what you have ordered. My overall experience of the premises and the staff and the product they sell brilliant, have to say there chips are lovely 😋.

Great chip shop , recently been updated. The food is cooked fresh and the staff are amazing and have been there years and are really friendly

I just had a regular haddock and chips with Irish curry sauce, my compliments to the chef, absolutely delicious 😋 highly recommend, proper fish and chips 👍🏽

Ordered mini fish and chips, nothing mini about it. Was like a shark. Loads of flavour, tasted really fresh, nice crispy batter and not greasy like most places. Will 100% be coming back as very local to me :)

Lovely chips here and love how you have the option of plain or battered. With a lactose intolerant child, that is a big help. Everything come all packaged all tidy.

Loveley food chips can be a bit old tasting an chicken is is quite dry but other items iv had from here av been nice, they do some good deals it's definatly value for money an their Irish curry sauce is the one that's a must try

This is our local chippy, we’ve had issues prior with food sizes but today was ridiculous. 2 kebabs in pita and lg bag of chips £18.45 . Kebabs were £6.75 each and were so tiny and thin, barely any meat in doner. We went back over to complain and was told oh it’s the new pitas , they’re small. When the manager came out he had full on attitude and was extremely rude. We asked for a refund for the whole meal so we can go elsewhere. He refused to refund the chips and continued to be rude. Fine that he didn’t refund chips but as it’s a meal as a good will gesture. The kebab in pita are extremely small but the manager thinks it’s fine to charge almost £7. Worst part for me is how rude the manager was, awful customer service

Absolutely shocking customer service, paid nearly £7 for a kebab and it wasn’t enough to feed a child. It massively depends on who serves you as one woman is always giving a lot less than the other staff and as this was about the 4th time this has happened over the months we took the food back. The manager/ owner came out and said he would refund the kebabs but not the bag of chips as there was nothing wrong with the chips then argued that the price of good has gone up….. I get that and the prices clearly show this but to cut the portion size down that much is a joke Will never be returning there

Got 3 tiny strips of Donner meat in my kebab. Robbed me. Avoid this place he rips you off

Just pick up 6 fish bits and chips and chip shop curry sauce today.. Very disappointed Michael. The chips were very cold and the fish bites too. Very cold in the fish. The curry sauce was very hot though.. Just giving you feedback as I did pick up the order and live in russell's hall dudley.. Was very not happy with the purchase.. Even though you serve at. A great super value price.. Not at all happy on this occasion Sir.. Staff should know it's cold when serving.. Please I'm a regular customer..

Just had fish and chips. Absolutely awfull! There was a massive long hair on the chips aswell.

We used to love this when it was priory fryer, now it's changed to the Island House its gone down hill. The fish is so thin, the roe was sloppy and thin it was inedible and the chips are limp and tasteless now. Its a shame as it was a great chippy before now everything is replaced with fancy cardboard boxes and paper bags, maybe save money on all that and invest in some decent fish

Had fish & chips ,southern fried chicken & chips special tonight absolutely smashing from when we entered the chippy till the time we were served staff were happy ,friendly and the service was 100%.Will be back.

Had the large cod and chips meal deal last week and best ive had in a long time bostin 👍🏼

Silly girl put salt and vinegar all over my order even though I told her first that I didn't want any so had to wait over 20 mins for food to be re cooked LISTEN TO WHAT PEOPLE ARE ORDERING also most of the chips were bad much prefer the old priory chippy

Absolutely quality delicious food , Number 1.chippy in Dudley , I'm not local from you., But we'll worth the drive out. A new refurbished establishment business.. Well worth a visit. Honestly. Today I was treated with a Free Sample of Irish curry sauce.. Oh my...Thankyou kindly it was So Delicious indeed! The Owner /Manager and staff are ever so friendly. I am disabled and came in today and was treated from the manager. thank you for your kindness and great food.. Enjoyed so so much.. !! 5+Stars Awarded.
