I took my 13 year old grandaughter to the lakes for a birthday treat. She chose this for eats after shopping. I was pleasantly surprised! Nice and clean, very good, friendly service and a good menu although it was expensive! Saying that. what isn't nowadays. The food was very tasty. The music played was not the best to the ear! Would I go again, yes!

I was not impressed. It was not what I was expecting the Fries were not crisp but there were plenty. The burger was far to big and having to choose what I wanted was a pain. On top of this I paid £10 for what was a burger in a bun with trimmings and fries. I nearly purchased a milkshake which was £5 Extra. May not go again not really happy.

Please come to this restaurant if you want to wait 25 minutes for 1 burger that doesn’t really bother me, it’s the fact that people that ordered after me got their food before me after complaining I got told that the burgers were cooking, I would have walked out if I had paid for the expensive burger

The Five Guys chain is just fantastic. The best burgers I have ever tasted, the restaurant is a good size, nice and clean, the staff are helpful and friendly - the only small downside is the price of the food but this is dictated by the chain not the inividual place.

Four of us visited on Friday. My 2 sons (14 & 12) both had burgers & chips and both were unwell later that night - one is still physically ill. Myself & my nephew only had milkshakes and we were both fine. No doubt in my mind it was Five guys as we had nothing else. The fact that 2 out of 4 (and that being the 2 that actually ate) fell sick almost immediately after speaks volumes. I'm curious if anyone else fell sick after that night?

We both had burgers and fries, the food itself tasted OK, however, we both ended up with food poisoning. One had it for 3 days then other still has it after 10 days! There was no doubt the takeaway was the cause of the food poisoning as no other food had been consumed prior to or after the take out.

My partner booked tickets for the new Bond movie and wanted to try 5 guys. I have to admit I wasn't as keen to visit. The service was swift, the food was good quality and the restaurant was clean. I don't think I will be a regular visitor at 5 guys as I am not the world's biggest burger fan but my initial reservations were unfounded. The cajun fries were particularly good.

Looked forward to this a lot. Wanted to try a "proper" american burger. Drove from Bedford. Ordered when there on the app. It said the fries are made fresh etcetc. From pressing the "Im here " button we waited outside the store in the car for 35 minutes. When the food arrived one burger had a moist sticky bun and the other had a cold bun on top obviously fresh from the freezer and not heated properly. My burger was also quite watery. Hugely disappointed with them. My other half described hers as tasteless. The fries (one cajun one standard) were piping hot and were nice. Nothing outstanding for that price tho. The shakes (one peanut butter and one strawberry) were ok (strawberry) and tasty (peanut butter) but again I have had very similar for a lot less in cost and a lot more of it in size. Overall £35 odd quid for 2 burgers/fries and 2 drinks that were decidedly average, hugely overpriced and absolutely nothing special. Not gonna happen again. I saw nothing thats stood out and nothing that remotely justified the price.

We returned here for burgers having had a good experience on our first visit. However, today the burgers were overcooked and dry.It being a Saturday we had to wait longer to be served our food and this is probably why it was overcooked, as the burgers were piling up on the griddle waiting for the kitchen staff to catch up with orders.I hope someone from management reads and takes notice, otherwise I recommend you avoid the busy weekends to get your burgers.

Decided to try a takeaway from here as always wanted to visit the shop before COVID as live local. We knew the prices were slightly higher then average but were really happy to give it a go. Easy to order off of deliveroo and everything ran smoothly. That is until the food turned up. Packaging had completely ruined the burgers, just tin foiled and left buns soggy and cheese was melted everywhere. No way of saving the cheese completely ruined by the foil . To say we were disappointed is an understatement. The chips were un edible the Cajun just tasted like someone went over the top with the shaker. Just completely over powdered and the taste was disgusting. Really not nice at all. For the money such a shame we couldn’t even eat the chips. Will never order from here again and advise anyone else to get burgers from wildwood, as they come packaged better and taste far nicer (no soggy buns!) and arrive at your house the same as restaurant. Or to be fair McDonald’s is even better and that’s saying something! Have no idea how five guys still have customers when food is this terrible and over priced. Have never left a bad review but completely feel ripped off by the 30+ pounds I spent. Stay well away

My son chose to take his friend's here for his birthday. He loves burgers and fries. So 3 12 year old boys visited. One ordered cheese burger and chips, one hamburger and chips. The 3rd doesn't like burgers or hotdogs, so he opted for a grilled cheese sandwich. I have never eaten here before, my husband has. I was rather taken aback by the presentation. Quite shocked given the price. I have to say the boys loved their burgers. I opened the grilled sandwich, I have to say I honestly had no idea what the mess was meant to be. Then my husband said, that must be the cheese sandwich. See the photo. So if you don't like burgers or hotdogs, he somewhere else. It was really busy, a very popular place and I'm told the burgers are lovely. It's just not for me.

You can choose your burger and customise how you like it . You then have to wait for your food to be cooked and stand and wait for your number which was not quick .Food then came burgers are not bad come in tin foil with cones of chips extra . My bacon double cheese with onions and mushrooms was ok nothing special if I compare to Maxdonalds where four of us found eat for 25 pounds this is 45 and one person had a vegetarian roll in this which was good I dont think it's worth the extra money to eat here .

If proof is required that the United kingdom has gone round the bend the perfect analogy is "Five Guys"Extremely overated expensive substandard food. The hotdog for instance. Far better and larger is served at a fraction of the price at a famous American Discount warehouse. Seriously the quality of five guys hotdog is pants. A tiny no snap, no flavour and poorly cooked poor imitation. The burger or burger meat is good. But completely ruined with the preparation, cooking and subsequent way it's served. As soon as you order, the bun and chosen toppings are placed on silver foil on a table in a freezing cold restaurant and there they await the cooked burger. WRONG! The toppings should go on the burger during cooking that way they don't make the burger stone cold when it's served to you. And that burger is constantly abused and flattened during cooking which litteraly squeezes all the flavour out. £23 for a hot dog, cheeseburger large fries and small milk shake. Are you kidding me? Why buy this utter rubbish? But hey we knew it was expensive but we're willing give it a go assuming some quality was going to be served. The existing chains do a far better job and if you went and bought quality ingredients from either a butcher or supermarket I calculate you could cook 20+ burger meals far superior to what five guys churn out. I can't fail to mention this either, on the adjacent table to us, a young mum with her offspring and five friends celebrating a birthday. So that was seven burger meals and drinks and she had spent just north of £65. First time in here I enquired, yes and the last she replied. Can't believe what I've just spent she said with a nervous laugh. And that prompted the gentleman sitting behind us to chip in with yep cold over priced rubbish. Worst fries I've ever had he quipped. Yes I said I thought they were supposed to be something special. All they were was slightly warm over priced incorrectly cooked chips. I ask you? They had a lad just cooking fries and he was cooking far to many far to soon and the quality was non existent. Do your wallet and tastebuds a favour and eat anywhere else.

I approached a gentleman who was cleaning to help and he did! He the went back and tried his best to fix it while he manager was still serving drinks to people making this poor gentleman life harder as he had a huge Queue behind him of people wanting a drink! A member of the public approached the manager to help and he was not interested as all and just ignore the fact his poor colleague needed help!!! The manger finally came over didn’t even look at the machine because he couldn’t be bothered and said bad new it broken. He did not offer a return to anybody and a lot of people just left and walked out the door! Why cant they at least have an actual Veggie Burger?Fries were COVERED in salt which was an assumption, nobody asked if I wanted a dangerous amount of salt with my fries.Mrs H had an actual meat burger which she said was average.Place was noisy, service was good, wont be going back ever again as I didn't like the food at all. Please read the signs of you have a Nut Allergy, nobody mentioned it at Point Of Sale (I think they should have) as the fries are all cooked in Peanut Oil. I do NOT have a Nut Allergy but think it should be mentioned every time someone orders.£25 for two burgers, two milkshakes and one lot of fries - This does not represent value for money in my eyes but your mileage may vary.

The milkshakes are absolutely amazing and one of the best I have ever had. You have a choice of 11 different flavors, picking as many as you want and you can even add bacon. The burgers are all freshly cooked on the grill that is in the open kitchen, so you can watch them cook. All the burgers are well made and taste beautiful and you have the choice of 16 different toppings and sauces, again you can have as many as you want. The fries are amazing and you can also watch them be cooked in front of you and they are also beautiful. Lastly, while you wait you can help yourself to some peanuts and eat them with your meal, for free. The only minor issue is they're a bit expensive but definitely worth it.

My burger was over cooked, carbonised crusty on the outside, bacon done to crunchy. And regular fries seems to mean a Humongous portion of fries. Visited Saturday 23nd March 2019 at 3pm. As a seasoned five guys aficionado this location was very disappointing. Mushrooms were thickly sliced with no flavour and they were not fried or grilled, resembling ones from a can. I witnessed open buns sat in the side with the dry mushrooms and onions sat on there for at least five minutes before the burger was created. Usually all toppings are fried on the grill so that they get that that lovely rustic flavour along with at least some kind of spice or seasoning (two weeks previously my wife and i had correctly cooked mushrooms and other toppings in one of their london locations). Here the buns were only just defrosted and not warmed or toasted in any way which meant i returned mine for a replacement burger as it was stone cold. Normally when you get a five guys burger there are flavours and juice running out from the toppings and burger into the bun below hence why the foil wrapper is there. That is why i love five guys as i love a dirty burger, unfortunately these were dry burgers like you get in somewhere like Byron burger. The burger itself was overcooked and thinner than usual and none of the lovely slightly pink inside. I won't visit this location again but i will head to five guys in London in the future as i have always had great burgers there. Even my replacement one wasn't decent here. Five guys usually gives you that great combination of tasty beef and a copious amount of other flavours from the fried toppings. Additionally as others have mentioned the air con or extraction device is shockingly loud with music blaring out over the top of it to try and cover it up. The environment then feels really intense and far from a relaxing dining experience. Wild wood do a decent venison burger if you fancy better food with better surroundings.

Just been to Five Guys and very impressed. I’m not a burger lover but these were very good if somewhat having a boiled rather than grilled taste. Chips are REAL potatoe and excellent with taste, heat and portions. Free peanuts to scoff while waiting for the order and the taste of them are wonderful. The place was clean and staff helpful and friendly. I think I’ll go again.

So I travel the world with work and am known to favour a gourmet Cheeseburger, and have done all the chains as well as plenty of independents. But this was my first time in a 'Five Guys' in the UK. Recently opened at Rushden Lakes this Five Guys fresh and new and had a kind of American Diner feel about it. You order your burger and can choose any (or all) of the 15 toppings on offer (only Bacon is £1 extra). The Milkshakes are awesome too with 10 flavours, and you can add bacon to your shake too!! I had the Cheeseburger which is a double beef patty, the Little Cheeseburger is a single beef patty. My burger was delicious, moist, tender, full of flavour and the bun was great too. My only negative comment is the prices. A Cheeseburger is £7.95 then Regular Fries are £4.50 and a Milkshake is £5.25... So you are looking at £17.70 for a burger, fries and shake. This is not cheap fast food. A McD will cost you less than half of that but it will also be less than half as tasty. However for a couple with two kids you could be looking at a bill of £65 if they went for little fries and little burgers. That to me is excessive. Hence my 'Very Good' rating rather than an 'Excellent' one. Review your pricing Five Guys, you should at least offer a reduced 'meal' rate if you go for Burger, Fries and Shake.

Absolutely love it here. The food is brilliant and you pay for what you get. The portion of the fries is insane! The bag is full of them. And that drinks machine is the only one I know that still sells regular coke with flavours not just diet stuff. We got served very quickly and it's a small menu but it is just a burger place and a really good one. They sell milkshakes too but haven't tried them yet! Toliets are there and it is a seated place. It's like a step up of fast food. Always go here when in rushden lakes. The staff are so friendly and help if your new to it all. Recommended to anyone who loves a good burger! Can get busy at times but doesn't take long to get food. Is very very clean inside. You always see staff cleaning the seated areas.

My first visit to a five guys outlet and I was very impressed with the quality of the burgers and the fries. So much better than a mcDonalds or Burger King but the experience comes at a price. The staff were excellent, the facilities clean and the restaurant was spacious. Free drink refills and free peanuts is a nice touch. I thought it was too expensive = prices on a par with Byron’s but I think the burgers are better. Not pretentious like Byron’s but more basic - food is not delivered to your table and I could see that when busy it could become a bit congested hanging around waiting for your number to be called. I will go back but not that often due to the price.

I've not been to a Five Guys before, but I'm so glad I tried this one out! All of the staff were friendly & helpful, explaining the choices of toppings as well as portion sizes to me. The soft drinks machine has flavoured drinks galore! I will definitely be returning :)

There is nothing fancy about the place. Macdonald's is far more comfortable. But from here Five Guys burgers are just great. Abundant choice of fillings, the burgers are really tasty, the chips are fresh hit and really good with plenty of them unlimited free peanuts.

Went here just after it opened with great expectations as heard how good the burgers were. Basically it’s a glorified McDonalds or Burger King only more expensive.

Took my wife for lunch after shopping at Rushden Lakes, ordered regular bacon cheese burgers and chips, as well as a peanut butter milkshake. It was a tasty meal, the cheese isn't the best in my opinion, but this is an American style diner, so expect American style cheese! My wife would have been quite satisfied with a small burger as she is not a big eater. The milkshake was not as flavoursome as expected, the peanut butter came through every now and again, otherwise just tasted like a vanilla milkshake. Good enough value for money, but definitely not the best burger I have ever had.
