Ordered 3 times from here first time food was nice but the other 2 times the chips were cold and dry like they had been sat there for hours, everything else nice, might give it one more go as the chips are the only thing that lets them down

I would just like to thank fishy business for catering for my mum’s funeral Friday the 19th July 2024,what lovely caring people and the food was spot on enjoyed by everyone at the wake. They could do enough for us and even stopped to make sure everyone was happy with their food. A BIG THANK YOU ☺️👍👍

The fish, curry sauce and battered sausage were ok but we were very disappointed with the chips. They were soggy, brown and greasy.

Try the Hake. I've just been to Fishy Business for my tea. I fancied a change from the usual cod or haddock and have been thinking about hake for a while. Wow, I was well impressed. A generous golden piece of hake and a generous portion of chips served in a box that kept the food insulated until I got home. Pleasant, helpful staff couldn't do enough and a clean environment. All for £7.00. I'll be going back!

Exerlant fish and chip shop, HAKE is a must to try, it's beautiful, a good sized fish, and so tasty.

Always great Haddock & Chips and pipping hot not greasy also it tastes very fresh and yummy. Tonight tried the Curry sauce for the first time it's almost the best curry sauce that we've ever had.

Always hot, quick and delicious food.

Gotta say this, I wouldn't recommend this establishment to my worst enemy. God knows how long the fish had been on the hot plate, my fish was rock hard and dry and my partner fish was cold .As for the chips were hot and full of grease. If you like your fish and chips to this standard this is definitely the best place to go.

The first time I went here it was amazing but this is my second time getting from this place, for £4.50 the haddock is tiny and has no flavour and even the pushy peas are bland and bad. And don't get me started on the chips, they're burnt and soggy to the point you can't eat them. Won't be returning, I'll be going back to the golden cod even if it means driving the 4 miles.

I've been a loyal customer for many occasions but my experience changed today. I've ordered 2 large fish and one small and all looked the same.might be cos ordering online?it was best fish and chips for me so far.dont know what's happened.

I had to leave this 5* review as I literally cannot fault this fish and chip shop....it is fantastic.....I always find there's quite a few issues with other chippys and tend to avoid most of them for various reasons.....Fishy Business is above and beyond.....I can't recommend them enough ❤️

This is my partners and I’s favourite local chippy since moving to Dogsthorpe. Food is always fresh and tastes delicious, portion sizes are well worth the price. Great service with friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommend.

When you pay for your chips you can give your car Reg number you can wait in your car and they will bring it to you great idea

Awesome fish and chips from these guys and brilliant customer service. They apologised for the wait, even though it was only a few minutes. I had the cod which was huge and proper thick portion, nice and light batter. We also had the battered sausage and chips. All very tasty, fresh and reasonably priced

fishy business was a convenient stop due to going post office, i ordered wedges, chips and a battered sausage. the skin on the wedges were rubbery, same with the chips... like they had been cooked for some time and the sausage was very soft and slumpy... very disappointing.

Have eaten at Fishy Business a few times now. Tonight ordered via their click and collect app on their website, found this easy to use and to register. Only ordered the Chips, Cheese Mayo Wrap was presented rather well with plenty of filling 😁 (definitely get your moneys worth😉). Also good to see that they are using contactless collection. Very friendly staff and always smiling even with the face masks 👍😁. Keep up the great work everyone.

2nd UPDATE : the fish is truly AWESOME and worth 5 stars - I took your advice and tried the new chips but they really are not for us but, if your fish stays this good then I guess we can live without chips 🥰👍 Lovely service, cooked fresh. Fish is amazing sadly the chips are extremely dry and tasteless which is such a shame. I can’t work out of it’s the oil or cheap potatoes 🥔😞 Update: Sorry been back and the chips are such poor quality we end up throwing 3/4 away. Love the fish though. 3RD UPDATE - WOW a business owner that reads the review - went Wednesday 6/11/19 and the chips have improved tenfold so now 5 STARS for the fish and FOUR STARS for the chips 👍😊🥰😋 ☺️ thank you

We had 2 large donner kebabs and a large cod and chips . They tasted delicious I can't wait until next time.

I phoned to complain that my pie and chips were cold and was greeted with a first class attitude and concern that I wasn't happy, replaced my meal and delivered it to the house no fuss, thank you at least you care

New to the area trying to find a decent local chippie. Tried this place last year, rang and pre-ordered (got kids, I always do this to speed up the order). The fish I ordered was terrible... half the batter was missing and it was oily and sickly. I believe they hadn't coated in flour before dipping in batter. Why would you do this? Clearly who ever made it would have seen the fish was ruined. Never returning to this place

Freshly cooked food when asked for cooked to high standard. The staff are extremely friendly, welcome, polite and always happy to provide what you demand. Portion sizes are generous. Would recommend giving this chippy a try .. Friday evenings the food is simply delicious !! And the van has top quality food at all times .. if this drives by you I recommend highly !!!

Disgusted was not informed the van was not coming as a result I have been waiting outside for 30 minutes in the freezing cold, even though it stated on it was open
