Figaro's in East Riding of Yorkshire

We were travelling back through Beverly and decided to stop on the off chance. It's a lovely place, loads of parking. The restaurant was spotless with helpful, friendly staff. The food was great, fresh ingredients, and beautifully cooked. Would 100% go again if we're passing again. Definitely recommend it

We will definitely be returning to this great little Italian restaurant. Family meal out, we all enjoyed our food. Garlic bread with tomato, seafood pasta, chicken sizzler, and margarita pizza.

My husband, grandson and myself had a table booked for last night. It had been a couple of years since we had last eaten here so I took a look at some recent reviews. There were quite a few negative reviews, however, we decided to try it for ourselves. We were very impressed. At the door we were greeted with a welcoming smile from a member of staff. We were settled at our table immediately. After a few minutes our food and drinks orders were taken by another friendly staff member. Both food and drink were served quickly, the food was excellent, as was the service. We were asked on a couple of occasions if everything was alright. We will be back very soon.

We always enjoy our visits to Figaros. Great food. Friendly service. A warm welcome. It's so much more than just pizzas and pastas. Reasonable prices.

Had been really looking forward to a return after refurbishment however won’t be returning anytime soon. The food simply did not meet our expectations prawn gamberoni certainly didn’t have any prawns 🍤 scrimps rather than prawns and very little salmon and the penne manzo e fungi was missing the strips of beef fillet. The calamari starter appeared to be from frozen and not what expected Disappointed food for the price paid won’t be returning in the near future

We were a large family group of 14 adults and two children. The service was really good and the food was delicious All the food arrived at the same time which doesn’t always happen when such a large group! Highly recommend this place and will definitely return 😊

We had booked for Sunday evening. Owner/manager didn't check we had a booking and started moving tables around to create one for us in a space. The service was utter chaos. Half an hour before we managed to get somebody's attention to order a drink. Same for food. After 2 hours in the restaurant we were still waiting for dessert and coffee. Table of four next to us had not even managed to get a drink so got up and left.Other people all around were complaining. We decided to leave also and to just pay for what we had had. Worst of all was the reaction from owner/manager when we told him we had been waiting too long - 'Madam, we are very busy!!' Well don't accept walk ins when service to existing tables is already a shambles. Staff need to be trained, as previous reviewer has said, as some of them were just wandering around aimlessly. Shame - this used to be a great restaurant

Same good food as the old Figaro but the redecoration leaves no atmosphere or ambiance. Too white and bright

Unfortunately not impressed,previously figaro had a lovely atmosphere nice lighting great food and good service but now it feels too bright no candle light nothing romantic no ambience. The food mmm I ordered the prawns and what arrived was not as described on the menu. The garlic bread had a spiciness about it. With the main was baby potatoes which also had a red paste on them god knows why. Don't get me wrong when food service and atmosphere of a restaurant is good I will always go back and recommend to everyone but not this time its such a shame,previously the Italian owners had a passion for the place.

We went on Saturday evening. The food was beautiful, well cooked and piping hot. Service was excellent all the staff were very friendly. The place was very clean and the atmosphere was lovely. We will be going back. The steaks were cooked to perfection.

This was my go-to restaurant, the food was always good and it always had great service and ambience, however, since the refurbishment, the atmosphere in the place has died a death. It's just a big white room. It seems to have lost something. The place was busy, but even with the chatter and background noise, there was something missing.

Food was lovely. We were seated right next to another couple when the place was not that busy which seemed a strange thing to do. Beef was lovely in stroganoff and sirloin steak forms, cooked well, and all sides and sauces were rich and tasty. Wouldn't recommend the extra side of asparagus as not worth the money.

I was so looking forward to my birthday meal after the re-vamp- we love it at here. We booked for 8pm. Seated 30 minutes later, ordered 20 minutes later and didn’t even get our drinks until we decided to leave… this was 55(minutes after our original booking! Clearly NO thought or logistics had been thought off ! The restaurant was chaos! People stood everywhere waiting for tables!!! People complaining of no drinks or delayed food… staff running around like headless chickens!!! So., so. So disappointed! Always loved this place and my birthday spoilt! Enjoyed my takeaway kebab on the way home… Advice.. don’t over book and be gready! Manage your bookings! When we were eventually shown to our table- our name wasn’t even checked? So how do you know if I was a walk in or an actual booking?! So disappointed!

We having been going to figaros for many years, it never disappoints, food excellent, staff | service superb and very fairly priced. The new renovation is bright and fresh , giving a good ambiance. Well done to all the staff for making my wife’s birthday memorable.

Booked a dinner for Nov 5th but when we arrived at the location, the place is like a bombshell. Why accepted our booking!! didn’t even have the courtesy to call us to cancel our booking!!!!

We visited with the family for a birthday and were very disappointed. The food was mediocre at best especially at the price. The drinks were expensive when youn have to £2.50 for a splash of lemonade in a glass of wine. The service was none existent forgoten drinks, 25 minutes for them to clear the and that was after they had been as to ask if they could clear the table. All in all not somewhere i will revisit or recommend that anyone else does.

I have been to Figaros on a number of occasions and I visited again last night with my daughter and grandson. My grandson is usually a bit picky about what he will eat and I told him he would not be disappointed. As usual, the food was excellent, the sauces absolutely delicious , the garlic bread was fabulous and my grandson ate everything put in front of him and asked when we could go again!!! Prices have gone up but you got what you pay for, PROPER FOOD.

The food was nice, penne with salmon and a garlic bread. Service was a disappointment, we ordered 3 drinks and all was wrong. Use a pad and write the order down!

The food here is beautiful. Really authentic (my Italian friends testify!) and the service is great. I loved the atmosphere- mature and relaxing. Much better than a chain restaurant.

Been here lots of times, this was the worst by a margin! Busy Saturday evening. Went straight to table, then no service. Had to attract attention to order drinks, 2 incorrect drinks brought. Ordered food, starters came after a while, 3 out of 4 OK. Only 2 out of 4 mains came. Looked order didn't go through for other 2. They came quickly, almost too quickly. Wife said hers was worst she's ever had. Chicken dish had dry, overcooked chicken and average sauce and rice. Pizza OK. Ordered bottle of red wine which was stated as Italian on wine list. What came was Chilean, which I wouldn't order usually. It appears ownership has changed hands in last 2 months. Guy who was head waiter has gone, not sure if left or fired. His service was good. Pity if standard has dropped this much.

We brought our grandchildren here they were on holiday from Sheffield. We have been a few times before with family members. This place never changes always good and really good with children they make you feel welcome.

Even though it was mid week it was still very busy. We hadn't booked but after a short wait they were able to find us a table. The food was delicious and prices reasonable

Good job I rang Prior to arrival as we usually receive a call to ask if we still would like to keep our reservation but on this occasion we did not get a call. I was told I did not have a reservation even though my table was booked over two weeks ago. Upon arriving I mentioned this only to be told what’s the problem you have one now! We had the beef stroganoff which we have had on numerous occasions and it was no where as good as it usually is. We also had the chicken In tomato and pepper sauce which had no taste and was very watery. We asked if there was a new chef or if the recipe had changed or if Figaros had been taken over as we only recognised one usual member of staff. They said no sure not sure what is going on with the food but the chap front of house was rude.

Excellent service they run a tight ship very impressive, hands down the best pizza I have had in the UK, ever!

Good food, good service, reasonably priced. It does sort of feel like a step back in time to the 70's/80's with the waiters in waistcoats and bow ties but that's not an issue, more of a novelty. Pollo ala crem is a winner

Beautiful food and lots of it. Very fresh. Waiter very friendly. Well worth a visit.

Very noisy. Imagine a crowd of football supporters in a bar before a match is about to kick off and that may provide you with the level of noise. Quite simply the noise ruined the meal. It wasn't the right ambience at all. One couple moved to another table in an effort to find a less noisy part of the restaurant. Overall the food was good. The chips were fries. There's a difference. If you're not seasoned when it comes to eating out the menu will not be easy to understand. Normally I'd cope with fries instead of chips and a less than easy to understand menu. But the noise was totally unacceptable. Although the food was good we're not going to take the risk of going to Figaros again.

If you eat before 1800,much cheaper . We didn’t intend that but just how our day worked out. Great service , just a big too efficient. Fantastic pizzas, house wine good

Lovely friendly atmosphere. food was exceptional and the restaurant had a lovely vibe to it. All the staff were really pleasant and knowlegable regarding the food on the menu. I would definitely visit again for more delicious food.

Fabulous food and excellent service- highly recommended

The waitress and waiter we had were lovely!!! Really nice service, the only down fall being the food. Frozen smelly seafood, frozen toppings on the pizza. Myself and my partner left feeling queasy after the awful food!! Gutted after high expectations considering the service being so strong!

Figaro’s never disappoints. Yet again excellent service and excellent food. Always a delight to eat here. Definitely worth a visit.

Average food, waiter service haphazard, they should have waiters dedicated to sections, we had 5 different people serving/clearing. Pizza was tasty, the cheesecake was awful, not homemade or even trying to look homemade. They were there clearing before I finished my last mouthful. I asked for the bill, which took a while to arrive, then I was handed the card machine and asked if I wanted to add gratuities before I had chance to look at the bill. It was fairly busy, I do think they have a lot of regulars, but I don’t think I’ll be returning.

Always good food, very varied menu

Visited this evening whilst here in Beverly to see friends. Could not fault the food and service, I should have asked for my sirloin to be medium but that's my fault. The Tiramisu was the best I've had. My wife had the sea bass which she said was excellent. Will return

Had a superb meal here. Lovely surroundings. Excellent friendly service. We shared a starter, the ribs were amazing. The lasagne was very good too. Would certainly go back but we live 3 hours away.

We’ve eaten dinner here a few times now and have enjoyed it each time. We like the traditional service and attention to detail the staff offer, some may see it as a bit old fashioned but we like it. We’ve never had an issue with having to wait too long or having to ask more than once for something. It’s been busy each time we’ve been for an early evening dinner, which makes for a really pleasant atmosphere and on each visit, we’ve not found the service lacking. The food is excellent, there’s a lot of choice (maybe too much!) and the wine list is great. We like Frascati and find we can’t always get that in other Italian restaurants so it’s nice to find it here. We usually share a starter, have a main each, a bottle of wine and a liquor coffee each, the bill is always reasonable and good value for money, even better if you go before 6pm for the family hour!

Gives the impression of living off former glories. From the waiting staff wearing bow ties to the 70s lighting and the menu featuring a list of bbq specials, times have moved on and left Figaro behind. Bland dishes, chewy meat, unimaginative sides and dreadful service (I really don’t expect to have to ask 3 times for a jug of water) all point to a restaurant living off last glories. When chains like Cote and Carluccio’s offer so much more it astonishes me that this establishment can still get the reviews it receives. My advice would be to give it a miss.

Figaro used to be one of our favourite restaurants in Beverley, but not any more. On a recent visit, we were charged for an extra main course (which could have been a genuine mistake). However, on our next visit, we were served our starter and mains but then completely ignored. After waiting long enough, we gave up and asked for the bill. We were astonished to find they had charged £1.95 for a glass of tap water for my husband to take his medication!

Popped here on a Tues @ 5.20 to find the place buzzing, well over half full so that was a good start. We had linguine carbonara, lasagne al forno,creamy garlic mushrooms and a spicy garlic tomato bread all cooked to perfection and full of flavour. I know what we ordered was not complicated for a chef but how many times have you eaten at places where they get the simple things wrong......well not here, top marks, great food, great service, great value, we will be back.

Had an international reunion here for 17 people. It was handled well by staff. Food was good except for a family member who received a very small portion of Salmon and veg. Good parking when we were there. Would return

Wanted somewhere new to eat and had a late booking at 20:30 due to work. My wife had chicken I had the veal we were both very happy with the menu We weren't disappointed with the food. Wood recommends going. Will be going back as there is much more I want to try .

We had booked a table but had to wait 30 minutes for it to become available. The staff were unconcerned about the delay. Small portions and it was very crowded so noisy and hard to talk and relax.

Got an early booking for dinner as it was virtually fully booked. I can see why. Service, food, ambience were all excellent. I had prawn cocktail as a starter and a vegetarian lasagne followed by panna cotta for dessert. All delicious. We didn't feel rushed. The house white was very palatable. We also got it at the Family Rate as it was before 5.30 pm. All in all a lovely meal and excellent value.

Brilliant restaurant in all aspects

Fabulous for a night out or special celebration, service 5 star.food excellent, atmosphere excellent. The only fault was the sauvingon blanc,new Zealand is the better choice,not a lover of Chile wine,but a great experience. Good value for money.will be back.

My family and I visited to celebrated a birthday, the food and service was amazing. We will definitely be returning!

Glad I didn't let the recent bad reviews influence me - we enjoyed attentive, friendly service and great food tonight (Sunday early evening). We took advantage of family hour(s). 5 of us all had different meals over 3 courses and couldn't fault anything, portion sizes were good. Steak was cooked perfectly. Did lack a little intimate atmosphere due to slightly harsh lighting, but overall a very good experience and we will go back.

Small portions but very tasty. Really annoyed about the added service charge which wasn’t warranted . Will not come here again because of this! Very rude! 🤬

Friday 3rd November. Been coming here for years even before it was Figaros . Always had a lovely time , never had a complaint . We were a party of 7 adults . We were seated at the back corner near the petition from the bar. Not enough room for 7 adults but was ok. Took a long time to get a drink then even longer to order our food. My meal of bacon with egg carbonara was tasteless, the smallest pieces of bacon, you would need a magnifying glass to see. Couldn’t eat it. Our other guests had lovely meals. Told the waiter I couldn’t eat it. It was so difficult to get anyone’s attention. We seemed to be forgotten in our little corner , we ended up shouting but was so noisy nobody heard us. Eventually we ordered deserts but we had to ask the waiter what had happened as we hadn’t received them. We had 10 minutes before the mini bus arrived to pick us up as we don’t live in Beverly. Then the bill comes. It shocked me a bit as a service charge of nearly £33 was added on. And my meal was supposed to have been taken off. Mentioned it in the way out and the guy in charge agreed it hadn’t been taken off so next time , he will give me a free drink. I don’t think so as there won’t be a next time . We spend a lot of money in here but sadly , not anymore .

Friendly welcome and drink’s offered quickly. Taken to table by irritating waiter with affected accent. Food was ok and atmosphere non existent. Would we go back no, disappointing and lack lustre food.

Had a meal tonight in this very nice restaurant with some friends and have to say it was a very good experience food staff and value for money was fantastic thanks to the team for making it enjoyable

Very disapointed on this visit to what was once a lovely restaurant. The food was very average my steak was over cooked in a diane sauce that was bitter tasting with two dryed bay leaves left in and three slices of .mushroom some over cooked mushy brocoli three carrott batons and four mange touts a bowl of undercooked frozen chips other meals in the group were also I thought poor we did not complain as we were been treated by close relatives and did not want to make a fuss but I will not be in any rush to go back to a place lacking any atmophere with such average food

If you have had Italian food and you like it, don't go to Figaro. Top 3 worst meals I have ever had in my life.

We booked a table for 7. We felt very under pressure to place our order and was told that we only had the table for 2 hours. You could sense pressure from the waiters throughout our stay. A large glass of wine was £9.50. I would not visit here again. Sleepers across the road provide much nicer food, much better service and better atmosphere without the pressure to leave . I do not recommend this place to eat.

Good selection of well prepared food. The kitchen is one of those "in view", so you can see what's going on.

Menu is dated it's the same now as It was 8 years ago apart from specials board and even that is just rotated. Good is always good sauteed potatoes come with onion when all you want is potatoes but no mention of onions on menu.

Myself and my partner visit here for special occasions and it is so worth a visit, always lovely food very good service, amazing food give it a go if you haven't already it's a gem.

My wife & I hadn't booked a table, but were told we could have a table for an hour ..as it was very busy. We were so glad we agreed ..the atmosphere had a real Italian family feel to it. The waiters were friendly and helpful and the food was absolutely delicious. If we return to Beverley we will definitely book a table so we can spend more time in Figaro's

Our go to restaurant for special occasions because the food is always so tasty and the service is always good even when the restaurant is busy. Figaro doesn't disappoint.

1st time here. Food was amazing. Not a great selection of vegetarian meals. Was very busy would recommend booking a table. Car park close by but have to pay so take change for meter it is free after 6pm though. Staff really friendly, new waiter started that night he did great.

Heard about this place a number of times but finally managed to book for an evening meal, what can I say, great menu and staff, food was brilliant and well worth it, will definitely try their other menus

The staff couldn't have done much more for us. So attentive, catered for our need of bringing our 1 year old (high chair already set out, they offered to wash his cutlery etc). Consistently brilliant service from all staff. Can't wait to go back already!

Nice family dinner. Food was tasty and service was good. A touch on the pricey side. Fine for a family meal, but decor and ambience is quite plain so wouldn't go there for a romantic meal.
