We went for breakfast as there was a sign outside saying two for £11 but the deal was only for a particular breakfast. I had scrambled egg on toast with smoked cheese which was very tasty and plenty of egg. The thing that spoiled our experience a little was the overwhelming smell of bleach.

We called in for lunch during a wander around the town. The place serves coffee etc throughout the day in addition to the full bar, so had a steady flow of customers passing through. We both ordered a burger meal and were impressed with the quality and amount that was served with them. Reasonably priced in comparison to pub offerings. Came promptly, staff friendly. Would definitely recommend and will be returning when next in Harborough shopping.

Popped in for a drink late afternoon as wanted child free environment. Nice decor, stop serving food at 2 which isn't obvious from outside or menu.

My wife and I don’t often visit Market Harborough, but whenever we do we like to visit this bar for a bite to eat. Everything about it just draws us back whenever we are in town. It’s always immaculate, staff are friendly, and the food is reasonably priced, and also tastes and looks great. Highly recommended.

Outside looks welcoming and on first impression walking inside, felt the decor suited the overall theme of a bar/grill. Sat around for a while before realising it wasn't table service (no one told us because we weren't welcomed or greeted by any of the staff). After looking at the menu which features a good selection of burgers but not much else, went to the bar to order. Grumpy blonde inputted order into the til and processed the transaction which was the full extent of the interaction. She then went back to standing around and having the odd chat with a few mid-morning local/regular/drinker types that for one reason or another hadn't gone to Weatherspoons instead. Waited too long for food for the amount of people in there, maybe 3 tables at most, feel they would struggle if it was half full. The quality of the burger meat was average and dry. Chips were the best part about the meal. Accompanied by a flaccid garnish of semi-wet salad. Salt and pepper from a packet. As I ate my meal the sad reality set in that my high hopes for what the outside offered had not been met whilst wondering if I should be looking at blue-roll and cleaning equipment on display whilst forcing myself to enjoy what i’d just paid £27 for. I watched as my friend next to me (who was expecting a frankfurter with sauerkraut) began eating not-sausage, but a burger decorated with a tinned hot dog cut into strips and artistically placed in a star-like fashion underneath his bun. If this was my business, I would hire pro-active friendly staff and offer table service. The place lacks passion for the brand. I would take the menu they have, improve the contents of the plate and reduce the amount of burgers and add some other grill type items such as ribs, steaks and chicken. The inside smelt a little bit like stale beer. It would not take much at all to improve this business tenfold.

Great breakfasts and lovely coffees. Pleasantly surprised.

We attempted to go here back in the summer for breakfast. Male waiter kept us waiting whilst serving others around us outside. Seemed to avoid us because of having a small child who didn't want to sit still and was getting impatient. Rather than help, he just stared at us every time he came out, presumably waiting for us to give up and go away. Will avoid in future.

Popped in for one our visit to Market Harborough and went to the bar, no bitter on sale but we wanted to have one as its a nice looking place and the staff were nice, I had a cider and my dad a Lager, got a nice comfy seat, only an older couple in but we did think the place looked great.

Called for lunch today. Excellent food good coffee and friendly service all at reasonable prices. Highly recommended

This was only my second visit and sadly will not be back due to the service. The breakfast was fantastic but the lady taking the order was rude. Sadly I will not be returning

Visited MK Harb with my 85 yr old mum, we wanted to visit TJ Thornton's and stroll around market harborough, been a long time since we have been... We decided to try fifty three,first time, Lia was our waitress, lovely young lady, really helpful, tok our order, mum had lighter breakfast(she doesn't eat very. Much normally, I have a very restricted diet after being very poorly recently, so ordered eggs Benedict, no butter on muffin, no hollandaise sauce , We also had small capiccino. Coffee delivered hot and yummy... Brunch was brought to table, lovely hot plates, food looked lovely, mum tucked in , I thought their was butter on muffin the lady who brought food to the table said she would just check for me, came back and said all ok no butter.. so ate my first prepared meal/or eaten out in months.. The food was perfect..and so is fifty three As far as we are concerned, Definitely returning, thankyou all

Ordered a BLT Panini, felt I was mis-sold it was a baguette with the grill lines on it for panini effect......not what I was expecting very disappointing. Service was also slow.

We visited today 7th September. Most people were enjoying drinks outside but we wanted lunch and, as I am not a fan of wasps and flies sharing my food, we ate inside. My husband ordered the pork panini with fries and a sauce. I had the chicken wings, fries and a salad. It was absolutely lovely. We had a side order of garlic bread. The price was very good. Will definitely come again.

We ordered 2 full English breakfast and 1 of the bacon and sausage barms with chips. Again served by a very friendly and smiling member of staff. (There was 2 female staff members working and 1 male, front of house staff that is) The food quality was outstanding. Every part of the breakfast was cooked perfect and the very best of quality. Overall this is a very reasonably priced, amazing quality and friendly. Will definitely be returning when we come back down to Market Harborough.

Staff were friendly but, one of them didn't seem too happy. I had a Californian club Panini which was nice but I found a bit dry, could of done with a bit more Dijon Mayo. The Panini wasn't really a Panini but a baguette cooked in a Panini grill by the looks of the markings. Apart from that it was a nice visit.

Visited yesterday whilst at the car show my son and myself had the American burger. I am not a great fan of burgers but this was out of this world couldn’t fault it and the price was really fair considering the quality. Thumbs up to 53 and its staff, well done keep it up. Steve

Lovely food, quick service, only sad point is the large coffee needs to be more filled up as you only get half a cup, dread to think what the regular coffee would be, but great staff and pleasure to eat there.

Nice day so we sat outside! Good menu so we opted for two panini's. BLT and a Piggy Melt. Friendly waitresses and good service. Two panini's were very tasty, washed down with glass of wine and a panini. Thoroughly enjoyable. Toilets also clean.

Was a little alarmed with a guy coming out of the kitchen with an apron on, going into the gents with apron on, and then going back to the kitchen with apron on....

Had a gorgeous cooked breakfast (one veggie one meaty) really fresh and well cooked with a mini bottle of Prosecco on the side!! Was so nice we went back later for a G&T!

Only 1 other person in but had To wait quite a while for coffee.We also had a bacon bap which was passable

My wife and I were wandering around the town doing a bit of shopping and thought that we would have lunch before leaving for home. We had never been in this bar before, so took a look at the menu and the inside of the bar and were pleasantly surprised by both. There was plenty on the menu that fussy old me would enjoy, and the prices were very reasonable. The place looked inviting and exceptionally clean, so in we went. We were soon served by a happy, efficient waitress that quickly had drinks on our table and taken our meal orders. The meals didn’t take long to be brought to us, and they looked and tasted great. This really was a great choice for lunch and we so enjoyed our visit so much that it will be one of our favourite places to eat whenever we are in the town.

Looked inviting enough from the outside and I'm sure there is a good atmosphere when busier, but on a quiet mid-afternoon it ended up feeling slightly soulless and the coffee was distinctly average. Maybe have better luck next time.

Small cosy bar area with outside seating on the square if the weather allows. Visited for a Saturday night soul evening held at the bar. Excellent night, no waiting for service at the bar, young staff all friendly and efficient. Recommended - Will definitely be returning to try the food one weekend and hopefully for another great night out

Visited on a friday evening for food and drinks with partner and some friends. We had the buttermilk chicken snitzel and steak, both with fries and rocket salad. Very impressed, steak cooked perfectly and really tender and tasty meat. Good sides. Cocktails were also very good, 2 for £12 bank holiday deal was also a bonus! Popped in for breakfast earlier, really nice food and good coffee. Great value!

We stopped for drinks, service was initially quite slow with my wife sat waiting on table for over 10 minutes, despite a waitress telling her to sit down and they would be over, when we were served the drinks came quickly and we were offered more when our glasses were empty.

Didn't eat but stopped for a drink, staff were really friendly and we sat outside in the sun and had table service!

Came here for lunch with a friend. Ordered small and large wine, drinks came out both small- waitress says did you order a large as I was comparing sizes? Ok I’ll go and top up. Took order, when food came one of the meals was wrong, explained what we ordered (beef ciabatta)- told they do that they only do burgers. Explained it’s on menu, they got it to check and confirmed- came back to say sorry we’ve got no beef! Offered a free sweet as compensation. Ordered Elton Mess and said I’ll have one as well. 15 minutes later sweets were served, very nice but very simplistic so wouldn’t take 15 mins to prepare. Excuse for error was server was new - but she was there 2 weeks ago when we lunched.

Popped in for a coffee first time since lockdown. It's had a makeover since the last time we were here. Looks good will definitely be back to check out the food.

Sitting outside in the fresh air and a little bit of sun I patiently waited to be served. 2 servers and one was chatting away to a regular for about 5 mins. Eventually 2 came to take my order. Black coffee and a bacon sandwich . We don’t do a sandwich but you can have a bacon chiabatta or something similar. It arrived and was very nice but £8.70 ? Certainly wasn’t worth that much. I didn’t see a menu either, if I’d seen the prices I’d have gone elsewhere. Disappointed !!

Avoid....No people skills, manger argues with you if you have an issue. Menus with no prices, food quality shocking. Won't be returning.

Had a panni and cabitta plus two coffes today. £19, not very good value for money. Toilets missing toilet seats and toilet roll dispenser broken. Would not recommend coming here again. Female staff great and really nice

Always a pleasant place to stop for coffee. Lovely setting in the beautifully flowered area of market harborough. I have never sat inside but by all counts just as pleasant inside. Average prices pleasant and helpful staff. Good food on offer too. Thumbs up from me. 👍🏼👍🏼

Sunday night so it was very quiet, but it had a very good selection of beers on offer and it was clean and tidy with decor to make it look a bit "Cuban" definitely go there again and have some food. Downside music far too loud...

There are many elderly customers. With age, hearing is impaired. The background music with the necessary noise of coffee machines makes conversation difficult.

I have been here twice for coffee in the last year (not local). Both times I have enjoyed nice coffee outside in the square of Market Harborough. The designated seating area is well kept and bordered with pretty flowers. Both times were very sunny but trees and umbrellas offer shade making this a lovely break from shopping. They also offer homemade food and a licenced bar 😊

A really lovely place to eat, the food is really nice and made really well. All the staff are friendly and always ask how your food is and is generally a nice place to be!

Absolutely dreadful bar with food. The owner does not care at all about his clientele and this attitude trickles down to his staff. Food is poorly cooked and presentation/service is non-existent. Drinks are expensive. Avoid if possible. The only redeeming feature (in Summer) is the seating area outside in the Square where you can enjoy your hideously overpriced drinks in the sunshine.
