Don't go here. Shocking service. Pizza ordered and never turned up; flat drinks; half of the items on the food and drinks menu not available. You pay for a full drink like Pimms only to then be offered it in a can (for £8!). Complained about the Pizza not showing up and we got giggles from the person that served us. Got a refund and none of us will be returning. Such a shame as it is in a lovely spot, but the people they have working there are seriously incompetent and really couldn't careless about customer service.

I used to walk past here every day and have always thought this would be a great place to lunch, or have coffee and cake. I finally got to lunch here and I was surprised to find woodfired pizza on the menu, so of course that was a must, but it was only average tasting. My colleagues dishes fared average as well.

Pretty good for a lunch spot at work. Feels like a bit of a retreat from the office in the middle of the park. The food is good but the service was wacky. While I understand that your meal will come out a different times if you're not on the same ticket, even my own individual meal came out in a couple rounds and just felt off. I had already started my main while I was waiting for my side. Food was good and fresh but nothing that sticks out as a completely memorable meal. The best part of it is the location.

Having travelled extensively for many years across many hotels cafes bars restaurants I have experienced many different styles of service - Fields are clearly not set up for a tourist visit - I was not welcomed as a tourist ! After choosing a seat then perusing the menu I went to the counter where a man was being serviced multiple coffees - a lady came forward and stood to my right at the counter I thought the coffee server was using time effectively to take money from her then after a few minutes another lady came and then I realised the first lady was having an order taken and the second lady was about to be served too All three of these customers appeared to know of each other and even their dogs;-) the service staff did not intervene and ask if I was next instead the regulars berated me as if I had stepped out of line making a complaint ! I was made to feel that I had upset these regular customers routine however as I tourist visitor I had no idea of where exactly at the counter you would be served nor did I think a server at the counter wouldn’t be there to make sure I was served next ! It is not clear that centimetres left and right along the length of ordering counter could be so critical and especially as there was only one man in front of me - I get that regulars sometimes know better ways of doing things but when this seems actively encouraged by staff this doesn’t deserve my custom The manager at the counter offered me no explanation for this ‘regulars first style’ of service and were trained to help me at all. So I left with out ordering This restaurant seems to have not carried a simple user journey of an arrival of first time visitor - if it has a regulars first policy it should make this clear !

Fields is a lovely spot for lunch in central London, especially if the weather is nice and you can enjoy sitting in the sun. The pizza itself was OK; the stuff should probably smile more and refrain from clearing up the plates when some of the guests are still eating.

Fields was recommended to us by staff at the Sir John Soanes museum and a is great choice. As an added bonus there is a 15% discount for museum visitors on production of the museum guidebook. Located within Lincoln Inn Fields it has a external terrace as well as an indoor area. It offers a range of pizzas, sandwiches and salads which are ordered at the bar then delivered to your table. We thoroughly enjoyed the wood fired pizza. The indoor area had a fun ambiance but can be very noisy when full.

Although the setting of the restaurant is good- the food is not so great! We had lunch. 2 of us ordered chicken Cesar salad (small portion with hardly any chicken for £13), another friend ordered pizza. This place was recommended by one of the gentlemen who works at the Sir John Soane Museum. He mentioned that the price was a bit high but with the museum discount, it may actually be reasonably priced. So when I found the place, it was quite welcoming - a little shelter in the middle of the park, especially as it had just rained.I stopped in, found a table in a corner for a bit of solitude, scanned the menu and found what I was looking for. After paying for my food, I realized that I had forgotten to mention that I had a museum discount. The response I received felt a bit rehearsed - a helpless shrug and a "Sorry, you should have told us sooner. There's nothing we can do now."Perhaps it is a cultural matter, but as an American living here in London, I felt very put off by this behavior.First of all, this is total BS. If the staff really did care about customer service, they would have found a way to make things right so I would consider coming again.Second of all, the sound proofing was terrible - it was hard to have a quiet conversation via cell phone in my quiet corner as the large party next to me was so boisterous that it was difficult to hear the person on the other end of the line. All of which is a shame - I really did enjoy my solitude and the English breakfast with tea that I ordered wasn't atrociously expensive considering the portion, quality and how filling it was.But the attitude from the staff in the way they handled this situation, which I doubt was the first time it ever came up, left me a bit hesitant about ever coming back here again, even though I only am a subway ride away.

We were staying at the Club Quarters hotel opposite so slipped over a couple of times. The location is hard to beat as it has a nice outdoor area in the park. The cost of everything in London blew us away compared to Melbourne and this cafe is no exception. I would regard the food as 'good' but not outstanding. Our pizza was average but acceptable. There is certainly better value in Holborn, But for ambience on a sunny day it is hard to beat. Breakfast every day would have blown the budget for our 6 weeks in U.K, when it is possible to get a good cooked English breakfast elsewhere for just under 6 English pounds.

I’ve eaten here many times in the years since Fields opened. Great decor and the pizzas are decent. However I’ve found it increasingly unreliable in terms of advertised opening times. Twice in the last six months I’ve arranged with friends to visit only to be told upon arrival that “we’re closing, as it was slow.” Either open when you say you’re open, or don’t say you’re open. If you’re closed, lock the door and change your posted hours. This kind of arbitrary service is disrespectful to repeat customers. Will seek elsewhere in future.

At 1p.m. The place was really busy and the staff seemed stressed. Pizza and salad was average but what really annoyed us was the waitress who cleared part of our table while we were still eating. The restaurant occupies a modern, wooden structure tucked away in a corner of Lincoln's Inn Fields. The restaurant overlooks the fields on one side and tennis courts on the other side of the building which also includes an outdoor area. Despite a modest first impression, the interior is bathed in light from windows in the roof which, together with the wooden furniture and benches, give the space a bright, welcoming atmosphere. The lunch menu offers a small range of pizza and a few main courses (e.g. swordfish, burgers) which, I believe, is not a bad idea as it can afford a greater degree of quality control. There is a good range of soft drinks and wine and beer is also available. We opted for the pizzas which are cooked in a wood-fired oven and were tasty. Coffee was also of an acceptable standard and there is also a good selection of cakes for those seeking something less substantial than lunch. There are cheaper places, but I gather profits are shared with the (nearby) John Soane museum (free entry) which offers discount vouchers for visitors, so viewed any premium as a charitable subsidy well worth paying. Would love to try this in the summer.

A lot of hard surfaces, which makes it rather noisy. The toilets are horrendous McDonald's old sinks and childrens toilets. No grab rails or disabled equipment. The wine is delivered by tesco, and what they charge for a class, you could get a bottle and have change. Soft drinks just don't bother. The female manager really needs to be sent on a customer service course. The rudeness was uncalled for. Will not be booking a table again. The rest of the staff were very nice, they work hard. Bad food, terrible service We were looking with my friends a place to eat, but as it was a boxing day 26th of December, everything was packed in Central so we didn't had any other choice rather than eating there, as we were in a rushed. The items on the menu were very overpriced. I choose the pizza margarita that costs £15 and when I said to the waiter that I would like extra mushrooms, he said that they can't do that and that I need to order the fungi pizza that costs £19 , that was exactly the same as margarita just with extra mushrooms that they charged £4 more. He wasn't polite at all with us. We ordered a coke, and when I asked tap water, he said in a very rude way that they don't do it, so he forced us to order still water that they charged £5. We all felt discriminated by the way he was talking to us. The pizza wasn't fresh at all, tasted like frozen one. My friends had pasta fettuccine that had literally only 2 pieces of chicken and chicken breast served with frozen fast food potatoes that cost more than £20 each dish. We were sitting outside, and my friend asked for an ashtray, and the waiter ignored him, making a very bad face reaction. Before we asked for the bill, I kindly said to the waiter to remove the service charge as the experience wasn't as we were expecting. Then he said that it's obligatory and not optional and he couldn't remove it. He was literally shouting in front of the customers, and apparently, he was the manager there. Seems he has no experience in hospitality and customer service. We have been forced to pay 25% of Service Charge when the average in the UK is 10-12.5% !!!! The bill was £102 for a small frozen pizza, overcooked pasta with 2 small cubes of chicken, and a small chicken breast. I don't recommend this place. Food is terrible and the staff seems like they hate what they are doing.

Hi I ordered 2 thin crust pizzas. The base was like cardboard. Without a doubt the worse pizza base I have ever tasted - would have been better using a supermarket own base. They also mixed up the sauce bases on the pizza - pepperoni with BBQ sauce and Ranch BBQ with tomato sauce. Phoned the store - we are too busy to sort this out - try emailing head office (random email address given which didn't work) and ask for a refund. Just based on the quality of the pizza give this store a miss - so wish I had read the other reviews on line before ordering - I now understand why this store has received so many 1;s
