I ordered some food for collection and when I get there, the shop was so clean, the staff were so friendly. The food was amazing. Highly recommended.

Lovely fish and chips. And on Monday and Tuesday you can have gluten free fish and. chips and curry sauce. They even have gluten free vinegar. Perfect!

Bought pudding and chips, the pudding was OK, the chips looked like they were warmed up from dinner, worst chips I've ever tasted, threw most of them away.

Best fish and chip shop in the area by a country mile in my opinion. All friendly and welcoming staff every time we go in. Recommend 100%

Food is absolutely delicious. There are lots of choices. I had cod chips and mushy peas and ate every bit. No complaints at all. It is rare I think for a chippy to cook good fish and chips. They are usually only good at one but the Ferryhill is good at both.

Well wouldn't give single star. Ordered 4 lightly battered fish chips peas & curry sauce. The fish was all batter and chips seem to have been cooked and reheated very disappointing and will not return

Treated ourselves to fish and chips, and we were not disappointed. Met by friendly staff who had lovely smiles on their faces as usual. The fish batter was crispy, the chips are still the best in Irlam, crispy batter from onion rings and a generous portion of scraps. Really enjoyed this. Best chippy around 👍

The best chippy in Irlam by far! A nice greeting and order taken quickly, ordered haggis, chips, curry and a barm. Haggis is cooked to order so about a 7 min wait but happy to do that knowing it's all fresh. Great portion size and delicious food!

Personally like this chippy. I have been told it's not the best in the area. But everyone has different tastes. Chips always taste fresh, good size portions. shop looks clean and well kept. Just seems like a good honest chippy.

Ordered chips, curry sauce and scraps. Got this. Had I been told there were no scraps, I wouldn’t have ordered. Curry sauce (spicy) was fine. Chips were slightly raw, needed longer. Scraps absent. Cost around £3.50.

Would have been a 5/5 for everything, the best Fish n Chip Shop in Irlam and Cadishead, without a doubt. I have noticed recently the chips have had skin on which is disgusting, imo. The last 2-3 times I have bought chips from Ferry Hill Fish & Chips shop there has been potato peel left on the chips (not little bits, fully.) which isn't nice. I have had to pick at the chips to remove it, instead of having a hearty meal, carefree. The chips with skin on in the polystyrene box just go to waste with more than half of the chips remaining. Please remove the skin from the chips or add skin-free chips option! (Lol) I will not be buying from there until I see or know that there isn't skin on the chips. Unfortunately, I will be going elsewhere from now on.

A bit of a wait, as the place is akwats busy. Potion size on fish, which you can choose either haddock/ cod is small/ large. Chips, even the small potion, would easily feed two. Vegan and gluten-free available.

Not Value for money anymore! I experienced Poor organisation and order service on my visit! Prices have been hiked but still giving out old menu's that are not updated? Large cod ( Yeh right ) £4+ you get bigger fish on the fair! More paper wrapping than fish. Ours must have shrank on way home! Food was ok but not worth that price £8.75 for 1 portion of fish, chips n peas. Paying for the overheads of the P.P.E for the counter staff in more ways than one. Like for like chippy's,.and i think Lee's chippy is better value for money, service and quality. But thats my opinion.

Variety of food and quality superb and if quantity is too much they do small portions i.e.small fish.The only drawback is that it's always busy.

Fish is great from here but chips never seem to be cooked right, there always underdone. Instead of crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside, they’re more semi cooked potato.

I have had lots of fish and chips over the years so like to think of myself as a expert, I had haddock and chips from ferryhill and it was cooked perfectly I will definitely go again when I am in the area 😋😋

The best fish and chips!! Worth the 15 minute drive to visit and collect from here. Food is still hot when we get home. Not many places that you can get a decent fish and chips from.

Really greasy chips, gravy and curry far to thick and trying to pour out of a tub was hard scallop was all batter and a very thin slice of potato and to top it off short changed at the till. 26/3/2021. Till receipt time says 20.25 but it wasn't so I'm guessing the time is wrong, £12.30 was given £1.20 change from £14 the girl was told at the time.

The organisation was good as Covid19 procedures we adhered to. Enjoyed the fish and chips with tasty mushy peas 😋

Lovely light crispy batter and the pea fritters are delish (a new thing for Southerner me)! For us, this is the best chippy in the area and we wouldn't go anywhere else.

I drive there from Cadishead on a Saturday. After work in Altrincham or after the gym. Always worth the trip. Great food and lovely staff.
