Ordered for the first time on Friday and food was excellent m. Friendly staff and very welcoming.

Great food and service, but didn't like the way the food was presented, already plated up like a cafe. Food should be served in separate dishes so people can share if they wish

Went on a Friday night as a couple. Not busy. Staff friendly enough. We didn't have the early bird menu. We shared a salt and pepper platter which was ok. I had duck curry with fried rice, curry sauce was very bland, almost a yellow/green colour and not a nice consistency, there was not a hint of curry in the sauce. Rice was also very bland and slimy. Husband had Singapore vermicelli. Very bland also, no heat to the dish at all, worst ever my husband said. We had salt and pepper chips but they lacked flavour and there was a very small amount of onions. We didn't finish our meals as we couldn't eat it. We don't mind paying for good food but this was terrible.

Came for food earlier this evening. I had prawn toast, Beef in black bean sauce and noodles, absolutely delicious and the crispy salt and pepper chicken is by far the tastiest I’ve tried. Staff were very attentive and polite. Definitely be back.

Absolutely lovely welcome the people are lovely the food is wonderful, had bbq spare ribs, special curry, chicken curry, egg fried rice and salt and pepper chips also for pudding fudge cake with ice-cream and 3 scoops of ice-cream with sauce Excellent with a fabulous atmosphere highly recommended

Food very good and tasty. Premises clean, service excellent, staff friendly. Early bird menu , Monday to Friday is what draws us there on an early evening also the, soup and the Sweet and sour pork is brilliant with fried rice, the chicken strips are also good , the menu is very varied

Been there twice and the food was good. Not sure what was going on last week but it was poor. I did e mail them and then ring but all I got was a sorry about that hope to see you again.

First visit since reopening as Fei Von and recognised a couple of staff from Prosperity, so wondered if it has the same owners too. Quiet mid week, only one other table taken and we hadn't booked. No mid week early bird offers like they used to have. We didn't expect this, but thought I'd mention, for those who visited Prosperity in the past. Service was very quick, friendly and efficient. Restaurant was clean and staff wore masks. Food was served piping hot and not at all greasy. Salt and pepper squid was lovely, just wish there was more of it. Rice and noodles cooked nicely. The only negative was the sauce for the ribs and the main dishes, which were ok, but not great. We found them all to be a bit overly sweet and gloopy, especially the peking sauce on the ribs and kindo sauce for the main, sweeter than we've had before. The black pepper sauce wasn't as gloopy, but was not very peppery and also a bit sweet. If the sauces were nicer, they'd be onto a winner. I would probably try it again, but choose different dishes, maybe a dry dish like a fried rice main or Singapore Vermicelli, to avoid the gloopy sauces.

What a gorgeous takeaway we had tonight x delivered promptly and delicious x we regularly dine at the restaurant but couldn’t tonight because I had a poorly back x what a treat to have the same standard of food delivered to our door as we would have been served in the restaurant x many thanks xxxx

Take my advise with a pinch of salt as I rarely eat Chinese food. Waiters are top quality, friendly and easy to talk to. Don't feel scared to say anything negative about food. My food was amazing but families weren't as good according to them. 3/5 I personally would go again

This Chinese was fantastic but has sadly closed. (Edit) This Chinese is now open again and the food is as lovely as ever.

Arrived without making a reservation last night and they did their upmost to accommodate us as a table of 4 from start to finish it was a great time food and drinks were cold and the meals were fresh and hot overall a good experience

I haven’t eaten there but this evening tried to book for a party of twenty on a Saturday evening in December for a ward Christmas night out. To cut a long story short they refused to accept a booking or even contemplate two tables of ten because of their “new policy”( no explanation of or reason why) that the maximum they accept a booking for is twelve. I passed the restaurant going home from work this evening(Saturday) at 9.pm and there were at least thirty people in and the restaurant wasn’t even full. I find it very strange that they were turning business away especially after a bad eighteen months because of Covid, they had obviously not also considered that they have lost future custom from those who may never have been there before and enjoyed the food and could have decided to make a return visit? Obviously not, it really is their loss as I will not be giving them my custom in the future.

Average food and service very slow

Food okay, however most meals way too sugary. I would recommend you get takeout as the service is pretty poor. Young girls employed who aren’t trained, not attentive, wait long time to be seen to for food or drinks. A shame.

Every week our prawn crackers are stale pls sort this out and if it’s buisy beef is still pink we will go else where if this continues,3 weeks in a row now and we spend a lot of money there.

Good food, nice place, helpful staff, reasonably priced

Disappointing, the chow mein was to say the biggest disappointment, it was simply egg fried vermicelli with nothing else. The chicken balls were that hard and dry I had to use a steak knife to cut them in half, even then it was tough and chewy. The 1/4 duck was alright but it was over done and left on the bone so when I made a pancake out of it, I bit straight into a bone. OUCH. Nothing really special about the special curry except the one prawn which was the highlight of the dish and the spring rolls which were average, overall very disappointed and will not be eating here again. Cheaper to go to Lucky garden and enjoy a far greater and tastier meal.

Disappointed took advice from the review saying it was good food. So drove out there friendly staff takeaway food was very disappointing very dry vermaselly and the Chou main was not much better won't use people's reviews again. Plus was very salty

Nice food and the staff are brilliant. Made us paper swans from serviettes between courses entertaining us.

Again, being a vegetarian, restaurant choices can be limited to the obligatory stuffed mushroom or pepper but here I was so happy to see a full page of vegetarian fayre which to be honest, I had a difficult time trying to make my choice! I eventually went for the Egg and Sweetcorn Soup followed by a Meat-free Lemon Chicken with Fried Rice. The portion size was very good and all three of our party were suitably full and just ordered coffee instead of desserts. The staff were very attentive but not intrusive and seemed to instinctively know when to come to the table. The cost of our evening was not expensive with Three starters, three main meals along with the portion of fried rice, six drinks and tip coming to less than £80.

I love my oriental food I have eaten at almost all the local chinese restaurants in the area and this one is by far the best. I have been going to Prosperity for over four years and I have never been disappointed. Great service for take aways and a delivery service available too , Fantastic service and a lovely warm atmosphere HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
