Feed the Yak! in Southwark

I was super underwhelmed. My wife had been telling me I have to come here (she heard from her friend it was a great sports bar) so when she was working in Elephant and Castle, I jumped at the chance to come across and grab a pint. It is rare I grab just one pint but I did... I arrived early at 1pm, granted- and the bar staff did jump up and serve me. Everyone that then visited over the next 30/45 mins seemed to be friends of the bar staff, they were all chilling and smoking and chatting- which is fine- but it felt very non- welcoming. I just didn't get the vibe that this place really wanted to engage we me- and I love beer so that's a shame. Everyone was pleasant- no issues- just maybe try and remove that "club" culture and discuss work politics on the benches outside. Unfortunately I won't be coming back- which is a shame because I was looking for a new sports bar to watch footy in. Maybe it's better in match days... who knows.

Super nice guys working there, Friday deal is great, burgers are amazing, beer selection is amazing - we will def come here again!

Don't be put off by the sports bar tag this place is all about great beer, (tap, bottled and can.) Best place around the elephant for decent beer.

Real shame - food not what is once was and prices have gone up. 2 beers, 1 burger and a side was £38. Asked for ketchup and was told that I would need to come back inside and pay if I wanted some, as they were environmentally conscious…

Not a bad place but it really smells of greasy food. If they can sort out the extraction it would be a much nice place to have a drink. Good selection of beer.

A unique and vibrant sports bar with a GREAT selection of beer. We went to watch the Liverpool vs. City game and the atmosphere was excellent (images taken after). We didn’t go in intending to eat anything but after seeing what they were coming out with we couldn’t help ourselves. A proper messy but delicious selection of food. I would recommend the Match Day offer. Their beer selection is incredibly extensive. A great international variety on tap as well as a fridge stocked with rarer finds and famous German brews. Augustinerbrau is my favourite helles and was so excited to find it in London. With the awkward timing of the game the sun was shining on the screen, because of this they gave the entire bar a free round and promised it wouldn’t happen again next time. Excellent service and nice people. It seemed there were a few new employees but they were still attentive.

Incredible waterfront views paired with exceptional seafood. A perfect spot for a sunset dinner.

Loved it when it was the Tap In, but the change since then inside is really bad and service/ staff/ customers just got worse. Such a shame.

Fine choice of beers and football screens all around.. Been to watch several games here despite opposing team banter, no malice shown between opposing supporters.. Sits best pre-booked for decent viewing....

Nice atmosphere, great beers and friendly staff. Bit annoying that the football coverage went down fairly early on in the game, I guess technical issues can't be helped though. They also weren't doing food which was a bit annoying, on a bank holiday weekend when it was really busy I thought they would be doing food.

This is a classic Taproom plenty of craft beer options and sports on the telly, but the TACOS. Some of the best Mexican food I've had in London, buenaonda are doing it right, get into it. Also great for gluten free p.s.

It's mostly a good place to watch football, which seems to be increasingly rare. But they've thrown me out prematurely while asking me to take a plastic cup. They regularly close earlier than the advertised hours. They weren't showing Liverpool vs Man United from kickoff because of having booked in people to watch F1 (despite having football in the name?). And they sold me a 6.7% beer as a 4.6% one. Need to tighten up a bit but I appreciate what you're doing here

A modern sports bar with a great selection of beers both on tap (I had a Cloudwater) and in the fridge. They also serve great tacos and wings- I loved the baja fish tacos. Lots of sport on the screens too.

Came to watch an England World Cup game. They reserved us a table which did the job. Lots of independent beers available, although another lager or two wouldn't go amiss, as outside of Paulaner there wasn't much to go for. Lovely little bar though, would definitely revisit.

Nice cosy pub with the football as main protagonist, close to Elephant and Castle with a vast variety of beers. There are screens to watch football games. Not very spacious but comfortable. Iconic image at the back of the barman especially for Italians AC Milan and Inter supporters

The Tap Inn, a new kid on the block near Elephant 🐘 Park. A modern bar with all the beer served from kegs, sorry real ale aficionados! The beer is good and varied though. A delightful intimate venue offering sport aplenty on the numerous screens. This is a great addition to the scene. The staff are friendly and helpful, a great bunch of people. A good place to visit.

Great bar , good food and above all 5star staff!! Me and my mates came later to watch the women football euro semi final. There weren’t enough seats in the pub so we settled outside but they have to close the outdoor area at 9.30pm. One of their staff kindly arranged and help squeeze us in the pub so we could watch the match with the crowd. A friend of mine twisted her knee, the staff gave her ice and were looking after her as if is their own friends/family! Fell in love with this place!

Super little place hiding on the corner. There aren't many places that show sport and serve craft beers. Really lovely staff, good selection of draught, great music playing. Can't wait to return when my daughter goes to uni.

A great new addition to Sayer street (or that area). A group of us went yesterday, and it was a Friday afternoon, but we found a place to sit. The staff are friendly and always keen to advise on a beer choice, and give personal recommendations. We tried 7 different beers yesterday, and didn't have a bad one. My favourite was the tamarind and lime one.

A sports bar with a laid-back/student/divebar vibe. A few small screens for sports and if that's not your thing? Try the domes.

The MOST accommodating and welcoming sports bar I have ever been to! Dogs, babies... everyone is welcome. The staff were so kind to go out of their way to meet our football AND craft beer needs! A cosy spot for a more relaxed sports viewing experience and a staple of the new Elephant Park development.

Probably the best sports bar in SE London. An extensive selection of beers, very stylish decor and good service. Wouldn't go anywhere else to watch the footy.

They have these pyramid lights hanged in the trees. Not sure if they are aware of what that design symbolizes but it's clearly occultist/satanic. Maybe that's what they promote. Major Yikess..

Had a good night here with a group of friends at this bar in Elephant & Castle. A decent range of beers and tons of options in the fridges. Seems to be a good wine selection and we had some really tasty food. Would be a good spot to watch sport they have loads of screens everywhere

Waitresses were incredibly rude and refused to serve is as they felt we said something about them which we certainly didn't. Waitress was called Maggie. Wouldn't recommend

Cool sports pub. Nice normal lagger that tastes like lagger. We had some food from Miami bites as well. The halloumi fries were nice but we did not enjoy the pineapple chili jam. The Cuban sandwich was very nice.

It was the opening day of the championship season and I thought me and a friend would head there to watch the coverage. 20 minutes in they stopped playing the audio to turn on Spotify instead (think they went in with The Who as the first song/artist of the playlist) so I went up and ask them to turn it back onto the TV, to which they obliged. About 20minutes from time, they turned over every TV (to which there are about 10 in there), and put on coverage of the rugby game instead. I went up to the bar and asked if they could change it back given the rugby hadn't even started yet- it was due to start 1 hour from that point in time and there was just 20minutes left of the football. I even asked if they could switch just one TV back over to Soccer Saturday. They refused to do either option and one of the bar staff literally said to me "we don't play tiny football games" when talking about Soccer Saturday, which doesn't make much sense given that it's a football show not a "tiny game". Bearing in mind that this bar is completely decked out in football memorabilia- football wallpaper, replica trophies, shirts, scarves, even the wifi password is "maradona", it's safe to say that football is the main theme, yet to have such a patronising response in relation to watching football was really unacceptable. We swiftly finished our pints and left. My opinion would be to avoid this place and instead help prop up your local pub that would be happy to play both sports at the same time without any patronising comments about how miniscule lower league football is.

Really tasty food, good beers and good staff. There's a good arcade machine indoors as well. I haven't been there on match day but if you want to go, be sure to book in advance because it books up pretty quickly.

Best bartenders I’ve come across in any bar in London, fantastic knowledge with a real genuine and polite service. Makes you really feel like you’re in your local, they even refer to some of their customers by name, small touches but sadly very rare these days.

Great beer selection which also changes frequently, enough TV screens to watch from almost every corner, the food is delicious and the staff is always friendly.

Super cool bar with craft beers on tap and in the fridges, went there with my friends and stayed to watch the Liverpool vs Arsenal game, and on the tv behind us was the Sevilla vs Levante game. Lovely bar food too we shared one of their sub sandwiches which was really nice. The place was really well decorated too.

This pub opened a couple of years ago. I've been here about 10 times and either it's grown on me or they've been getting better. Sports theme, but you can still have a quiet chat. Great range of craft beers and they're coping well with covid restrictions, with friendly staff taking orders.

Slow, very slow and rude service. Fix that and you'll get a 5*.

My favourite local and even with covid the place hasn't lost its relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Cubana sandwiches are immense and staff always happy to recommend a local craft.

Love The Tap In, being Irish I always feel like I’m walking into my local at home. The staff are amazing Ross, Paul, Marshall and Faiz... That black bean hummus - wow Faiz THANK YOU!!!! The best I’ve EVER had!!

Great sports bar with a good selection of beers and a great atmosphere

The Tap In is becoming a new favourite local with some really excellent beers and wine. It’s easy and relaxed and the staff are super friendly. It’s the start of Sawyer street and always a good place for a drink pre or post dinner. The food there seems to be pop up of different varieties but it’s been good when we’ve tried it.

Great atmosphere, fantastic little place would highly recommend! A great football lovers club. The manager turned up the game volume whilst there was party, that effort alone deserved the 5 stars.

This place has a great beer selection, and the staff have a wealth of knowledge to help you choose the right one. Not to mention they're also incredibly friendly and accommodating. And the food tastes as special as it sounds when you read it off the menu. I will be back as soon as I get the chance.

No commentary for football games. It should be on loud... Also lots of people in there who don't care for the games but stand in front of the big screen. Good beer selection.

Cool looking bar, with good beers and food, and great music, but not really a sports bar. Screens are not big, and they play music over the games. As long as you are ok with that, the bar is great.
